I'll do this for Alexis Proctor from my currently-being-drafted novel Arsonist of Paradise, since I was just telling you about her!

24. do they have any creative hobbies? (art, writing, music, etc)

Other than digitizing old media and listening to music, Alexis's pastimes are mostly not very art/media-related. She does enjoy stripping and repainting old furniture, especially stuff that was originally utilitarian or otherwise not very spectacular like school desks and bank/library chairs.

33. if applicable, how would your other characters describe them? i mean specifically the people around them.

Shana Gephardt wants to climb that depressed Swamp Yankee like a tree, George Cornwall thinks she should be in jail or shot like her cop-killer grandmother, and Bill Proctor, Alexis's father, just thinks the vivid dreams of being a Cold War-era comprador that she keeps having sound kinda fun. (Bill is not a very good father.)

hiiii lu! so. this is a joint au with @verymuchablog42 because of this amazing gifset and then i went, "yes but what if...robin instead of steve." so it's basically the plot of hocus pocus but with robin, max and nancy (and the others, of course!) so.

Salem, Massachusetts was not as charming as Robin was promised. Sure, it’s gorgeous, with orange and yellow autumn leaves painting the asphalt and the last few trees stubbornly holding onto its leaves. But it is so, so cold. It’s October. Robin isn’t used to this type of cold and she’s not sure she’ll make it to winter.

The summer is dragging on and it might just kill Robin and Nancy in the process. It very nearly does when Nancy gets injured and she finds herself being taken care of by Robin. Nancy tries her hardest to fight off her own feelings and deal with her guilt, but if she's lucky the day might end in a better way than it started.

ummm this one is a thinker bc theres so many things but at the same time if this is fandom focused i guess there are like specific things that irk me about certain characterizations or headcanons but its not that i dont Understand its more like Youre Wrong.... so like people who think lizzie would listen to taylor swift or that nancy or robin actually want to talk about steve or any men fkr that matter while they're abt to fuck or that robin and nancy actually discuss steves life during pillowtalk or whatever like its crazy the way people will write these characters like Yall are just wrong and dumb. sorry!

would you like some ronance on this fine october for ronancetober day one. blurb under the cut

“Hey, Robs.”

Robin groans as she wakes up; Nancy gently tapping her shoulder. 

Pulling the blanket over her head, she squints at the time. 

“Nance, isn’t this a little earlier than necessary?”

“I know. I’m making coffee for us”

At that, Robin shoots her a sleepy grin and opens her eyes fully.

Nancy leaves her to begin the ordeal of getting dressed– turns out, according to Hopper, it was not a good idea to wander through the toxic air of the Upside Down without better protection. 

Sitting there in a tank top and boxers, Robin takes a moment to trace the scars that litter her body. A year on into the whole Upside Down invasion of Hawkins thing, there are quite a few. 

Since then, survivors have been taking jobs. Her and Nancy were placed on a patrol shift. It’s riskier compared to most of the other jobs, but the creatures of the Upside Down started staying away once they realized there were about five million new fun and creative ways dreamed up for them to die. 

Besides, it means a little bit of breathing room from the confines of the walls, and more time to talk with Nancy without the government breathing down their necks. 

Tucking her sweater into her (thick, made of weird material, government approved) pants before donning her protective jacket and gloves, Robin squints at herself in the mirror. 

Her hair is shorter now, clipped with the excuse of practicality so that the government doesn’t pull a McCarthy and kick her out for supposed suspicious behavior. It’s a little messy, but everyone is less put together with the whole end of the world thing going on.

Her bandana and visor will hide the freckles. Nancy said she likes them. Of course, it’s not like they will be out on patrol the whole day. Just a few hours.

She fiddles with her belt buckle for a minute, fluffing up her hair a bit more before stepping out into the kitchen of her and Nancy’s apartment. The government tried to put everyone near people they knew, and as legal adults they got their own. 

It was one of the new ones set up, fortified against the acidic air. They’re right by the Byers-Hopper arrangements and the Wheeler one as well. Max, Lucas, Dustin, and Steve aren’t too far away, either. 

The close proximity of the people who really do care about her helped to deal with the fact that her mom pretty much ditched her. That was hard. Still is, and it makes Robin wonder if she just wasn’t good enough to be loved. 

But she has people by her side now. The kids, Steve, and Nancy. Even Joyce and Karen seem to have taken a liking to her, and while Hopper still eyes her grumpily, the distaste for one another is at least mutual. 

Besides, the living situation has been especially nice since her and Nance started dating 6 months ago.
