I re-read Noble V: Greylancer and my love for Meier Link and his lineage got even stronger. There is so much goodness and beauty in his blood and I’m still convinced that, despite the enormous faults of the book, it is the best one Kikuchi has written until now.

Meier’s family has always protected humans. They have always watched over them, even when they were called weak, spineless, invertebrate Nobles for doing so. They abolished Blood Tithes, created artificial blood to avoid hurting people, assembled patrol units to protect their villagers, always helped and saved them from illnesses and provided them with medicines and good food.

Meier is the last in a line of 100% kind, honourable, and selfless Nobles who always had their human subjects’ wellbeing in mind. He’s known for having never bitten a human and for being as compassionate and kind as his ancestors - he truly deserves to be with a special woman such as Charlotte, up there among the stars.

I decided to look into Greylancer's outfit a little

#vampire hunter d #vhd #the noble greylancer #the noble v greylancer #it's not that i claim to be 100% accurate #in fact i found out that he has at least three jackets/coats in nv:g #and two capes #and that absolutely feral costume from the cover illustration of the second book #sometimes he doesn't wear that bat wing shoulder pad because it's part of his armor #and wears the cape on both shoulders when he doesn't need to fight #i'm sure he has these three outfits of the same style hanging in his closet #he doesn't need anything else #i always remember what dulcinea called him tasteless hick in the second book #i also like the difference between the characters illustration at the beginning of the first and second books #five years passed and he finally learned what a comb is #and nightmare village..... i never finished it.....
