We are very pleased to finally be able to offer you the wines of Julien Merle, Beaujolais. 4 fascinating examples of Gamay (including a late harvest nectar) and a Chardonnay - all singing loud and clear. Julien coins the term “social lubricant” on his bottles, to say great wine to enjoy in company. They are very much that but also offer the extra purity, depth of flavour and balance that make them really stand out.

What happens when you combine passion, ambition and tradition? Bodega Recuero in Toledo, Spain. These lovely and welcoming people (led by Jesus Recuero) have been preserving ancient, near-extinct grape varieties planted in old vineyards,(some older then 100 years!) This means that the vines are able to shoot their roots deep into the soil which gives expressive and essential wines. Really special and unique stuff; dont forget to put those sparkling wines on your list - you can bring them to dinner with your champagne lover friend and watch them get perplexed! Burrito 2015 Variety - Malvar Region - Toledo, Spain Waxing lyrical? We prefer to polish bottles. There’s plenty to write about with this beautiful “Little Donkey” of an orange wine - Ancient vineyard, the skin contact, partial whole bunch / semi-carbonic maceration.. A wine that waited a bit to be 100% ripe and ready, being a 2015 vintage. It definitely has a story to tell. But This will all take away from how simply delicious and drinkable this wine is. Think about a friend that is not really sure about natural wines / orange wines.. This would be the perfect introduction to ease them in. A lovely one-of-kind by Bodega Recuero. There are aprox 50 cases of this left (in the whole world!)
