Yeah I could see that being an issue, Izana has been through an awful lot and it seems pretty clear that it did effect him mentally. The way he was so possessive over Shinichiro and hated the idea of Mikey. And then later on where he became so fixated on Mikey and getting a brother figure back that he was prepared to sacrifice someone else he clearly did care for (Emma) for it.

So I could see Izana being a bit possessive in a relationship and getting jealous easily, probably because he'd be worried about being left/ wants to be someone's no1. I do think he would be capable of working through these issues though both with the support of his partner and likely a therapist (which tbf 90% of the character's need). And this probably also wouldn't be as big as an issue in the good timeline since Izana really does seem happier and healthier there.
