During her time as Lieutenant of the Heavenly Army, it wasn’t uncommon for Lute to find herself in precarious situations. Like the year she’d been chosen to run the Extermination operation in the Cannibal district of the Pride Ring.  

Alone.

It had been Adam’s idea of a sick joke. Lute had only recently been promoted to the position of Lieutenant by Sera—much to Adam’s displeasure. To haze her, he’d decided she’d only be considered worthy of the title if she could take on Cannibal Town solo at the next Extermination. That district was the most dangerous of the entire Ring; those black-eyed freaks gave zero fucks when it came to fighting back against the Exorcists. A near fatality some fifty years ago resulted in Sera imposing a new rule for future Exterminations: no Exorcist was to venture alone into Cannibal Town. Zero exceptions.

In hindsight, Lute should have taken Adam’s orders to Sera immediately, knowing that he was bending the Seraphim’s rule deliberately to fuck with her. However, she possessed a far greater sense of pride than, well, common sense; and she stupidly went through with the directive. Unfortunately for Adam, she’d survived; though not unscathed. Most of the scars on her right arm could be attributed to that one flesh-eating piece of shit who’d tried—and almost succeeded in—devouring her for dinner.

That incident, though, was nothing in comparison to the predicament that Lute found herself in now—face-to-face with the last person she’d hoped to see at her front door that evening.

I’m currently in a theatre, during intermission of the M9 special (no spoilers I promise.)

And it’s just been absolutely amazing being with a group of people who enjoy this content as much as I do.

We all sang along to the opening sequence, we’ve all been clapping and cheering, gasping and quietly yelling as events unfold.

This is going to be one of my fondest memories of my life, as I truly get to feel part of a community that loves something as much as I do.

Saw Spiderverse tonight and despite how incredible it was, I'm fucking LIVID at the ending. No spoilers, but they pulled a "Finish The Fight" on us. The entire theater went up in a cry of outrage, with myself starting it.
