Its just now occurring to me like, 15 years too late, but OG Bakugan really had an amazing dynamic set up in the form of "Nicest girl on the show who is partnered with the bloodthirsty murder hydra dragon" only to never fucking do anything with it.

#alice deserved better in hindsight my god #I can't believe they've rebooted Bakugan TWICE and didn't bring her back either time #she had it all #dark alternate personality #direct connection to the original plot #hell she even had an incredibly odd relationship with gender #but instead they were incredibly insistent on following the trio of shonen protag cool guy and smart guy #no shade on the original bakugan trio but they definitely fumbled with Alice/Masquerade as a character after the first season #bakugan battle brawlers #btw this only came to mind because of that one patreon project thats making a game that actually plays like the one in the first show #greatest disappointment of childhood was finding out the actual game didn't play like that #alice gehabich
