in all srs, i've not really been in a super creative mood lately, and there's been a lot of issues with my own writing process. i decided to do a bit of translation for fun and to ease into writing again! hope that this satisfies the needs of the one other person in the qsmp fandom looking to read fanfic in latin!

i love that there’s an ongoing theme with a lot of the qsmp ships (especially the canon/close to canon ones) that is just this typically serious, nonchalant character - likely with a heavy/angsty backstory - and a character who’s oftentimes silly/chaotic, dramatic, or simply exudes wet cat energy, with or without the angsty backstory

i’m mainly looking at spiderbit, fitpac, and pissa/phissa- read my nonsensical ramble under the cut-

spiderbit!! you have q!Cellbit: a former child solider and an ex-convict from Alcatraz bc he was a cannibal and essentially a crazed serial killer. and his husband is q!Roier, who spent his earlier days on the island flirting with anyone and everyone, has Drama Queen™️ tendencies, and has an alter-ego who lives a double life as a stripper and psychologist. i don’t think Chafaland is canon so we don’t have much of a pre-island backstory for him, if one at all. granted, q!Cellbit we all know that sometimes has the wet cat or chaotic moments, so different dynamics can be interchanged between these two

fitpac!! q!Fit comes directly from the anarchy hellscape known as 2b2t, and as far as i’m aware, has spent most of if not all of his life there. led wars, killed a shit ton of people… yknow, all that jazz. literal war veteran. and yet!! who softens him and literally makes him fucking blush but none other than q!Pac. yes, q!Pac literally got his leg eaten and was also put into Alcatraz but up until he got kidnapped a couple weeks ago, the sheer chaos of this man?? regardless of the angst?? and now he’s slowly healing and getting back to normal too?? a silly lil inventor guy fr

pissa (why was this the chosen ship name again?)!! idk what the hell is going on with q!Phil’s backstory other than that he’s an/the Angel of Death, so there’s whatever angst and/or drama that comes with that. but this man just wants to chill and take care of his kids. and then… you have q!Missa… the MOST pathetic wet cat (/affectionate) on the entire island. and yknow what? i love him for that! the way this man has acted with q!Phil since he returned? i don’t even think i need to elaborate

but on a more serious note tho, i love that the relationships can (and do) run so much deeper too

i’ve talked about spiderbit plenty, but i’ll keep talking about them bc they just mean sm to me. the way they balance each other out and complement each other, the way they’re always there for each other. the way their relationship is so heavily built on trust. these two have so much love and commitment for each other it’s almost sickening. meus pais </3

fucking fitpac man they grew on me so fast :’D there’s a certain depth and potential with them that makes me crazy. they way they could (and do) help each other and always look out for each other. the way that they, regardless of inadvertently or intentionally, help each other heal from all the baggage they each carry is just… ough. i need them to become canon at this point idc. they’re both clearly into each other i don’t make the rules. THE POTENTIAL

i really hope we get more pissa bc it’s literally so crystal clear they care about each other, regardless of how much distance or how much time has passed. and that’s big. just like fitpac, there’s so much potential with them too, even if their marriage is platonic. i just wanna see their dynamic explored more please and thank you. it’s been so long </3

fuck it, some post-canon spiderbit hcs (when i say post-canon, i mean "after an ending i had in my brain for months that now i can say objectively cooler than the one we got and everyone who could escaped yippee ^^")

!Roier eventually opened a taquieria like he always wanted. He's kinda became both an owner and a cook (not because he's the only one working there, juts because he wants to). !Cellbit have been working some odd jobs for a first while, until one day he was invited to work as a private investigator with !Bagi

after the whole "getting kidnapped and being turned into a rat" thing, !Roier developed a fear of the darkness. It's not that bad - just being in the dark just makes him mildly uncomfortable (he can see in the dark because of the spider pair of eyes, but he very much still can acknowledge it as a darkness). However, going to sleep became a problem - falling asleep in the dark became almost impossible, and if it somehow happens - it will usually get interrupted by a nightmare. For some time, !Roier would sneak out of the bed to sleep in another room with lights (he does it so !Cellbit wouldn't worry, but that's very much doesn't work at all). It took !Cell only like a week of finding his husband curled up on a couch in a living room to just. Buy him a nightstand. It gives off just enough light for !Ro to fall asleep properly.

Talking about sleeping: !Cellbit basically can fall asleep anywhere. It's something he got used to since the Hunder Games times. The other thing is, is that he is a very light sleeper (same source lmao) - it's usual that he wakes up several times a night because of whatever noise or other thing, however he also can quickly fall asleep again. After Purgatory his sleep routine got fucked up even more than before and and he only got the opportunity to more or less fix it after escaping the island. (He's still needs to be dragged to bed 6/10 times, but he doesn't put much of resistance at this point)

After reuniting, they decided to do a vow renewal as soon as possible (after escaping the island, and ideally on a date of anniversary). They were already free by the time of first anniversary, but they were still busy settling down, so it was celebrated with a nice dinner. It was decided to do a vow renewal on a second anniversary. I might do a separate post about it honestly, but for now all i have in mind is an outfit idea. To celebrate a basically what it felt to be a second wedding (that doesn't happen on a really dangerous island and most likely wont have a venue blown up), they decided to kinda invert the original outfits? Basically, instead of suits its dresses, and it's switched who's wearing black and who's wearing white.

Every 16th they always go on a date, place and activity varies. It was !Roier's idea - because what do you mean !Cellbit never have been (or doesn't remember being) to an amusement park (or like. any other place in that direction). And since after like almost half a year of not being able to see each other even another month together was worth celebrating now.

I already did some art about it, but yeah, both of them end up growing out their hair to be pretty long. !Cellbit got it first - only like a year into being off the island, and it happened kinda unintentionally? Like, skipped on cutting hair once and then just kept delaying it level of unintentional. He was still thinking of cutting it even when it was already like slightly below the shoulder blades, but just couldn't - not when !Ro happened to be like, the biggest fan of his husbands hair (and for a reason - because the hair was very voluminous and fluffy, that made !Cell look like kinda softer and definitely just straight up cuter). !Roier decided to grow out hair mostly just to experiment with looks, and then ultimately left it long. Still hates when it gets too much in face (just like me fr).

Talking about hair stuff, the whitening of !Cell's and !Bagi's hair is because of genetic stuff (i did read about one condition when the person hair can get white spots that would fit the most, but idk, i just set on "whatever it is"). !Bagi's hair started getting white when she was like 5 and at the moment of her brother disappearance it was 3/5 white; by her 18th birthday her hair was at the current state of being mostly white with like, one actually colored streak left. !Celbit's hair only started getting white after being kidnapped by feds that one time (both coincidence and not), and after getting like 2/5 white in addition to already existing gray hairs, it kinda stopped for a good while; it only resumed when he hit like 45 years or so, when it suddenly in span of couple of months just. Turned completely white (with some gray hairs still staying). !Bagi's last not-white hair streak survived for much longer, like comically persistent.

In this post canon scenario all eggs that are uhh were alive at the moment of their great disappearance, are also escaped with everyone. However, in a scenario where no eggs had escaped, in my head spiderbit end up adopting a kid (like, several years after getting off the island). I didn't think that much about it for now tho.

NNOW HOLD ON hold on let me explain. i do really really like qcharlie, i think he's fun and enjoyable and even in his worse actions you can really understand the grief and pain that put him there in the first place. he is easily one of my favorites and imo a standout in the server in general ☝️ but i must mention. whale. first off i think ppl who were weird abt qq but then went the mile to understand qcharlie is kinda wack, but it's whatever. the thing tht rlly got my ass was the racism frm qcharlie fans 😭

tthe like. idk. gestures the making qmariana the same caricature tht always happens t brown characters in mcyt spaces, even just looking at their skin colors and body types drawn next to eachother, the never even bothering to engage w mariana at all except the version they'd Invent in relation to qcharlie like idk. it sucks 😭 and ik it's not qcharlie's fault i know he's well written but there's only sm times i can look at fanart and analysis like that before i start recoiling a bit. getting better abt this now tht qsmp's been over for a while however :] 👍

and ig spiderbit honerable ment? again they're cute in canon but BECAUSE of how weird and strange they were not despite. the fanon version seems v devoid of the Point of their characters but again that's its own thing and not their fault as characters i rlly like them :] i don't get anywhere near as mad abt qsmp nonsense like i do w the dsmp bcs that one wasn't psychically fused to my blood pressure

Spiderbit moment is so real, Roier relaxes and trusts Cellbit so much that he show’s him all his spider aspects and Cellbit is trying to maintain eye contact but he forgot which pair was Roier’s main eyes jfdksljsdk

THE CHARMS AUGGHGHGHHG  everyone has little charms and bracelets, all the birds having a couple mismatched feathers, Richas, Pac and Fit all having stickers and drawings on their prosthetics, I can imagine Foolish having this crazy neckpiece made out of shark teeth with a small necklace with Leo’s baby teeth, and Tallulah saving all of hers to make one for Wilbur (also idk what book that is but that is absolutely Forever coded, that sounds so cool)

Yeah, no one on shows their affection normally, all the barking and meowing and chirping, the random physical affection? 100% (they’re just like me fr)

Your Spiderbit post really nails one of the things that stuck out to me about many of the queer relationships played on the qsmp. So many of them are played with genuine care and affection for the role they are playing. This isn’t a jokey one-off, it’s something valuable worth depicting in a genuine manner. And genuinely Roier and Cellbit exceeded expectations with their care for the dynamic they were portraying. And maybe not to the same extent (married with kids) but the relationships between Fit and Pac, Bagi and Tina, and Foolish and Vegetta are all played seriously at their core. They don’t “drop the bit” when they run out of innuendos or sex jokes.

Foolish misses Vegetta when he’s gone and faithfully waits for his return. They are very proud to raise their child together. Foolish respected Vegetta’s aversion to marriage while still making it clear that he’s in love and not going to leave their relationship.

Fit and Pac played it so seriously, stressing over first dates and confessions and coming to terms with your own sexuality (on Fit’s part) and bonding with your partner’s kid.

Tina and Bagi’s awkward flirting and shy advances. The continued pursuit of something between them despite outside influences. Bagi left Tina a ring!

Sorry I know none of this is like, new info to you I just got so excited at that post because it put into words a feeling I’ve had for a long time but struggled to communicate effectively. I didn’t want to derail that post though so I thought a separate message would be better. Anyway Yes! Spiderbit! Truly doing it like no other! And qsmp as a whole giving us such a wide variety of heartfelt, genuine queer relationships!
