Many, most of them related to my actual name so I’m not going to post them here. But my parents used to call me Froggy when I was little. Apparently when they took me out of the bath when I was tiny I used to kick my legs like a frog in protest (I always liked baths as a kid)

favourite sports team?

One most of you have probably never heard of: the Melbourne Demons, an AFL (Australian Football League) team. Although, any Americans reading this might find their club song rather familiar (hint: it starts with the line “It’s a grand old flag, it’s a high-flying flag). Incidentally, if you’re feeling particularly sport-starved, some AFL games are apparently being broadcast live on Fox Sports in the USA, so go check them out if you’re interested. (If you’re confused about the rules I’m happy to answer questions, it’s a weird sport if you’re not used to it).

In other news the men’s team hasn’t started their season yet but the women’s side got into the second round of finals (playoffs) today, so the Demons have brought me rather more joy than they usually do - this is the first year the women have made finals, and the men have only made it once in the last 13 seasons (we had some very poor years followed by a few narrow misses, so at least we’re generally improving). Hopefully the men will be better this year (oh to support a team that’s actually good most of the time).

No, almost never. My ask box is always open though. Even if it’s just a random question about one of my fics, send it in, I’ll definitely answer it in. You can ask anonymously if you want too.

how many blogs do i follow?

86. It started as mostly Queen or Borhap blogs and/or fic writers, but there’s a few from other fandoms too, especially Rocketman and Miss Fisher, and a dash of Harry Potter,  because of course. And there’s a smattering of non-fandom blogs on various things, just to keep it interesting.

tumblr crushes?

@angrylizardjacket is so effing cool and their writing is amazing. @sweet-ladyy is also cool and an incredible writer, as well as occasionally being the tumblr Queendom’s agony aunt/advice-giving big sister. And shout out to @perriwiinkle who is great and possibly my first proper tumblr friend.

what am i wearing right now?

My Elton John Farewell Yellow Brick Road t-shirt - I didn’t go, but my parents got tickets from my mum’s work, and they also got a merch voucher so they got me a t-shirt. Also my Uniqlo crop length legging pants that look like jeans - I’m a short arse but the cropped length is perfect on me and they’re ridiculously comfortable.

dream vacation?

Some of the Greek Islands would be nice...

dream car?

Red 60s Alfa Romeo convertible. I’d never actually buy one though, for what it’d cost I’d prefer a car that actually works more than 1 day out of 10.

favourite food?

Don't know. Probably chocolate cake, but also good brie on a crusty white baguette is hard to beat.

drink of choice?

White wine, no bubbles. Aka sauvignon blanc.

instruments?

I learnt the piano for several years as a kid, and I can still read music (those memory tricks they teach you to remember the note sequences really work). The combination of Bo Rhap and Rocketman inspired me to play again, though I really need to get back into it. And maybe try something easier before having another crack at a Freddie Mercury song...

languages?

I did Italian for my final year of school, but I’ve forgotten most of it. I learnt French too, but I dropped it after year 10.  

celebrity crushes?

Ben Hardy, obviously. Also young Roger Taylor and Brian May, a little bit. And Ana de Armas (have I mentioned I’m bi recently? 😂)

random fact?

I grew my hair long for a few years, and by the end it reached almost to my bum. I would never do it again because it was so impractical having thick wavy hair that long, but I liked it at the time I suppose. (Incidentally, I keep it about shoulder length these days, which means it curls properly and is so much easier to keep out of the way if necessary).
