One Shot — Three Years Later (Part Four) 

I went quiet when he asked, briefly looking at him and then back at the leaves and building in front of me. Adriel, feeling a bit awkward, said, “Sorry, I didn’t mean to pry, just wanted to ask.”

I fell into silence, and suddenly a rush of emotions overwhelmed me. In a flash, memories of everything he had done three years ago flooded my mind, and now he stood before me, asking questions he shouldn’t have. “That’s what you’re asking? That’s what you’re curious about?” My abrupt emotional shift caught Adriel off guard. “Listen, I’m not here to mix personal matters with work matters. What you did this morning in the meeting room crossed the line, and if I were you, that wouldn’t be the first thing you’d ask me about.” I extinguished my cigarette and left Adriel alone.

I heard Adriel shouting for me, “Kan!” I turned around and walked back toward him. He seemed surprised that I had turned back, his expression showing a hint of shock. But the intention was’nt for him, i just realizing I had left my cigarette behind, and walked back to retrieve it. Adriel watched as I picked up my cigarettes and lighter from the park bench. Before leaving, I paused and said, “You might want to address me as ‘Miss.’ I’m not Kansha; I’m your senior.” Adriel stood there, watching silently as I walked away and returned to my office. 

As the clock hit 6 in the evening, I was still buried in work on my laptop. Suddenly, a knock interrupted my focus. “Come in,” I said without looking away. Adam entered, his usually cheerful face now flat and a bit disheveled. “Oh, I thought you were back,” I mentioned as he approached. Adam stayed quiet for a moment and then apologized for the afternoon incident. He explained it wasn’t intentional but more of a reflex, not meant to stop me from leaving. I accepted his words silently, got up, and hugged him. After a few minutes, we let go. “Thank you, dam,” he said as I headed back to my seat. However, Adam stopped me, confessing, “But there’s a reason for what I did. You know I love you, right?” I stayed silent, sighed, and turned to him, “I know, Adam. But, like I’ve said, I can’t.”

“After three years, why can’t you open your heart? What’s wrong? Am I not the person you have feelings for at all?” Adam, initially calm, suddenly got emotional. He tightened his grip on my arms, causing me to wince a bit. “It’s not as easy as you think, Adam. Please, let me go.” 

“Do you think it’s easy for me too? Holding onto these feelings all this time?” Adam replied. “No one told you to hold onto those feelings, dam. Just let them be. Loving someone isn’t a mistake, but it would be wrong to force that person to feel the same way.” Adam’s grip slowly released. I looked at him and grabbed both of his shoulders. “I told you, right? You don’t have to wait for me. It’s very pointless, dam.” Adam then looked back at me. “I’m sure you love me too; you just need time. Do you think I give up easily?”

Before I could reply, Adam spoke once more. “I’ll wait for you. I’m very good at waiting. You don’t need to worry,” Adam assured, gently stroking my cheeks and combing my hair with his fingers before eventually leaving the room.

I stayed silent, trying to process everything, and eventually, I decided it was time to go home. Today had been overwhelming. As I stepped out, I noticed several lights in the corner of the room were off, and several tables were empty. However, my eyes caught someone still working on their laptop. Though their back was turned to me, I knew exactly who that person was.

I walked over and tapped on his table. He seemed a bit surprised, taking off the headset he had on. “Aren’t you heading home?” I asked. Adriel looked embarrassed and replied, “Oh yeah, just a little longer, miss. The assignment isn’t finished yet.” He called me “miss” just like i told him earlier. “An assignment from Michelle?” I inquired, and Adriel nodded. “Let’s tackle it tomorrow; it’s getting late. You can head back now.”

I turned around as Adriel finally closed his laptop. “Oh, about this afternoon, I’m sorry if I hurt you. I didn’t mean to,” I apologized. Adriel simply nodded. I smiled and added, “I’ll go first. Be careful when you come back.”

I made my way to the basement parking lot, scanning for my car. Adriel had conveniently parked right in front of the elevator, minimizing my walk. Unintentionally, the corners of my lips curled upward — I smiled. After the events of the day, this simple gesture felt like the sweetest thing someone had done for me.

As I stepped on the gas and approached the parking lot exit, I noticed heavy rain. A tall man stood near the lobby. Turning my car towards him, I rolled down the window. “Adriel, don’t you have a vehicle?” Adriel shook his head, explaining he had been brought there earlier. Almost impulsively, I offered him a ride. “Want to come together? Finding a taxi in this rain can be tough, and it’s late.” Adriel hesitated but eventually accepted as the rain intensified.

I wasn’t sure what I was doing. Perhaps it had become a habit of mine — disliking being alone during challenging times. 

Silence enveloped us on the road, compounded by the heavy rain that left me feeling a bit chilly. Breaking the quiet, I asked, “Your home address?” Adriel simply replied, “Just drive, I’ll show you later.”

After about an hour of driving, I finally reached Adriel’s house. The rain had started to subside. “Okay, we’re here,” I announced. Adriel, who had been quiet throughout the journey, began organizing his belongings — his bag and the jacket he held. Before stepping out of the car, he expressed his gratitude, saying, “Thank you for giving me a ride. i also want to say sorry for what i said this afternoon. i hope we can get along as a working partner” I nodded and offered a small smile. As I was about to open the door, he handed me the jacket, saying, “Put it on; the weather is cold.” I hesitated for a moment before he gently opened the car door. Before leaving, he left me with a surprising statement, “If you’re really leaving, I hope i'll get a chance for a chat. There’s something I want to talk about with you.”

The car door closed behind Adriel as he entered his house, leaving me in the car, still silent.

¹ A decillion is the easiest English translation, but nayuta is a Buddhist loan termword that means “many, many” in Sanskrit, and “going around cycles”  (輪廻って) is a roundabout of 輪廻 (rinne or Samsara, the endless cycle of death and rebirth Buddhists seek to break free from.)

² Tennyo can be translated as celestial angels as well, but they’re a concept borrowed from Chinese Buddhism so I went for an English phrase that was less loaded with Christian overtones.

⁹ I’m 90% sure “top-class document days” is just a nonsensical pun (chouDOKYUU DOKYUU-mento) but choudokyuu originally referred to super-dreadnoughts (a superior type of battleship) so if anyone can spot a reference along those lines, feel free to let me know.

1. What is your hobby?

History! I was fascinated of past times very early. When I was a child, middleages and stuff pretty much scared me but through that fear grew a deep interest and out of this interest grew an even deeper passion and here I am now studying it :D On my 2nd tumblr @renaissance-prinzessin I spam post a lot of history content :D Oh and I write. xD

 2. What is your special skill?

Special skill? Ehm maybe the way I understand animals? I am a very sensitive person. J

 3. What are your strengths and weaknesses?

Like I said, I am very good at working and interacting with animals. I also think that I am pretty good in academic writing.

Green!

Omg that is hard?  I love them all! But if I have to pick one.. horses! But ALL animals are precious babys!

My mum’s risotto and I had really GREAT herb Schupfnudeln when I was on holidays in Bavaria this month <3

My own goals.

 8. What is your most treasured item?

I can’t really think of an item, of course I love my books and my merch but there is no item or thing that matters to me as much as for example my horse Poly or my dog Pauli do :D

Recently I brought perfection to my beloved avocado-tomato soup xD I really do enjoy cooking (veggy of course!) and tried some vegan recipes recently too!

10. What is the thing you want the most at the moment?

Oh, I wished my bachelor’s thesis would be done already ahahaha.

 11. What is the thing you are most scared of?

Nothing I’d share in the internet but I have to admit that, beside the fact that I love all animals, ostrichs somehow really scare me xDD

I think it’s getting back to my old university after switching to another last year. It feels home again but I am still glad that I was able to collect so many new experiences at the other uni.

The retirement of Mirio and Miyacchi! I mean on the other hand they are/will be free to be themselves now without hiding behind the Otokoyaku mask but it’s still sad because I really adored both of them

 Regret? Actually there is nothing that I really do regret atm

 Mostly that I don’t care anymore if other people dislike me or my opinion

 Aw! I would want to be Venus! Venus! Venus! But I think as for playing I’d be predestined for a bitchy badass Neptune or Mars xD

 Do ya mean a song collab like the stuff we do like everyday in the com-my-nity? Actually I am doing a lot of stuff with @missemperor and it’s always a pleasure! But I also want to do something again with my first besties @sailorzakuro and @MyuToni sooooo I am open to do collabs with everyone xD

That it made me be part of something and feel welcome among my friends <3

Hmm, at the moment it might be Kana Nakada because I really liked her performance in NogiMyu. But tbh I am more into the BaniMyu actors/actresses.

I rewatched The Hobbit and I realized again how much I love Bilbo and how much of an Elve I am xD

I wouldn’t change anything from the Bandai era. Just record it, PUT IT ON DVD and and add  official subs xD

Not to relate too much on the manga…

I want to be done with studying and gain ground in working life

I saw the ballet “Swan Lake” by the russian nationalballet and omg it was awesome!

Private life? Does that even exist? lol

I want to gain ground in historical research

 42. Do you have a hairstyle you would like to try in the future?

Let’s see: Last year I dyed my hair tips blue (it stayed like 3 weeks) that was fun. And recently I managed to get my hair back into it’s original colour (medium blonde) and I am really happy with that. Wished it would still be a bit more even but hey xD

 43. What Sera Myu merchandise would you love to have?

The Death Vulcan VHS as well everything available of Miyuki-Moon!

44. Where would you want Sera Myu to come to?

It would be nice if the other country’s themselves would organize Myus. Like, Germany was one of the countrys in which Sailor Moon was just so fkn popular that we even had an own Sailor Moon band, okay? xD So Myus based on the Bandai era here in Germany would be nice (even though I had no chance I’d so apply there xDDD)

 45. If you could have a holiday with any cast member, what do you want to do?

Probably talk about their life at Sera My and ask them things especially about backstage things.

Well, Miyuki is in heaven but I’ll still dedicate this to her: You were wonderful. You didn’t made Sailor Moon just come to life, you put love in every single performance and transmitted all feelings to the audience with such a warm energy that it is always a pleasure and honour to watch your performances. I get never tired of watching them again and again. I hope you are happy where you are now but let me tell you that you can be really proud of what you did. You were not only an enrichment for the whole Sailor Moon franchise but also for my life and I just can not thank you enough for that.

1. What is your hobby?

Well mostly YouTube and social media, so technically this is my hobby XD.

2. What is your special skill?

I guess audio editing?? Atm I’m making a Nogizaka46 karaoke but I had to shorten it first so I guess that’s a skill? XD.

3. What are your strengths and weaknesses?

Strengths: I don’t like complimenting myself omg I guess I don’t let things get to me?? Like ‘nasty comments with Zakuro’ that started on my first hate comment and we all know how I just laughed at that XD.

Weaknesses: I have SERIOUS anger issues. Like, when I say I have impulsive anger people think I’m just playing it up, no honestly I am known to throw things, break things, slam things, do not let me hold anything expensive when I’m frustrated cos it will break. I get it from my Dad but I legit think I’m worse than him XD. Oh also fyi I’ve done this before if I’m being harsh to you about seemingly nothing PLEASE TELL ME cos I don’t know I’m doing it oops.

4. What is your favoUrite coloUr?

Turquoise, teal, anything in the bluey-greeny spectrum really and black. Also red (anger YEET).

5. What is your favoUrite animal?

PENGUINS THEY’RE SO FUCKING ADORABLE I LOVE THEM.

6. Which food are you into lately?

I’m unhealthy as fuck, chocolate cake XD.

7. What is the thing you never lose to from anyone?

Sass war?

8. What is your most treasured item?

I would be typical and say my Myu merch, but it’s my Yoshi cuddly I got from Camelot Theme Park about 10 years ago. I truly am a Baby Spice at heart XD.

9. What is your cooking specialty?

I do boss ass scrambled eggs. And I’m also great at roast potatoes, I can get them crispy but not hard but soft on the inside. I roast them in a small cake tin it works AMAZINGLY.

10. What is the thing you want the most at the moment?

NOGIMYU 2019 VISUALS. And a girlfriend XD. It doesn’t look good for me that I put that second does it?

11. What is the thing you are most scared of?

I’m pretty tough ngl, but if there’s a spider in my vicinity I will kindly ask someone to dispose of it. Thanks Dad ;).

I guess NogiMyu 2019 announcement?? Finishing college?

ALL THE NOGIZAKA46 GRADUATIONS SERIOUSLY MISA KARIN AND REIKA WHAT IS GOING ON.

Aforementioned anger issues that keep upsetting people I need to sort that out.

Omg I’m technically unemployed atm cos I finished college a couple of months ago XD. So none?

I’m a nicer person XD. In high school when I started YouTube I was HORRIBLE and I didn’t even know I was XD.

I’d love to do Neptune but fuck knows I’d be bad at that so maybe Venus?? OO OR MAYBE MISTRESS 9.

19. If you were to form a collab now, who would it be with?

Omg it’d be so cool to do a cover of all the Make Up Kumikyoku songs with my NogiMyu friends XD.

20. What do you love about Sera Myu nowadays?

After 2017 I really like how they’re trying different things rather than sticking to conventional normal cast musicals. Like NogiMyu is so experimental and has a Nogi cast, the Super Live is a dance show, I hope Kaguya-hime no Koibito will be similar to this pattern XD.

21. Which cast member catches your attention the most at the moment?

Well it’s ALWAYS Nao, but y’all know how much I’m loving Hinachima atm.

22. Which cast member would you want as your significant other?

NAOOOOOOOOO or Hinachima XD.

23. If you were to marry a cast member, who would it be?

Obvs Nao AGAIN.

24. If you would go to a deserted island, which cast member would you like to go with you?

I was reading The Price of Salt before my exams started (thanks to my English teacher recommending it to me AHA) so I need to get back into reading that.

Of this year Mrs Brown’s Boys D’Musical, but of a year from today Nightwish in December 2018 XD.

Pass my driving test XD. Still learning theory but I am determined to do it this year XD.

Writing, drawing, trying to do crafts, singing karaoke, playing with my cat, reading... I don't do any of those as often as I would like.

Editing together the daily video in like 2 hours every day 😛

3. What are your strengths and weaknesses?

I'm smarter than the average goat and I like to think I'm a pretty good writer, although I still wanna improve. I'm a good ear when people are sad or upset. I think my being eccentric is a strength, too. However, I have low self-esteem, anxiety and depression, all of which really holds me back. Also, I'm not a very good singer, which kills me because I love to do it so much. Oh, and I suck at athletics, like really badly.

Green probably. Especially forest, lime and olive.

Goats and cats

Cheese. I could eat cheese all day.

I can't for the life of me remember what it's called! It was a very strange Japanese movie about an equally strange family. My fave part was when one of the characters talked about walking in the forest looking for eggs, and he found what he thought was a huge egg. For some reason, he shat on it, and after that he was followed by the ghost of a murdered Yakuza guy, because the "big egg" was the guy's partly buried skull that he had shat on. Told you it's a weird movie.

I dunno. I'm very much not a dance person. I honestly can't tell good dancing from bad.

I loved when there were those ladies dressed as objects from Usagi's room. Those were fun costumes.

I dunno! I haven't seen them all. I have a soft spot for Gaiden cuz it acknowledged Kunzoi, but I really wouldn't call it my fave.

I would mix and match. There's no one cast I love every member of.

Recently? I'm not aware of anything I say just recently. I tell my cat I love him about a hundred times a day, and I say fuck a lot when angry or frustrated, but those are not new.

36. What would you do if you could plan a Fan Kansha?

Invite back all my fave actors and have people singing songs they don't usually.

37. What do you hope to see Sera Myu doing in the future? 

More original stories! Also, do the R movie as a Myu. I wanna see Fiore on stage.

I went to see Into the Woods a few months ago.

I would rather be able to go to it than have it come here. People here, well, a lot of them are very xenophobic and wouldn't go watch a show in Japanese. If they did it here in English I would still want the Senshi to be played by East Asians, because I prefer no whitewashing, please.

from what I got from people's comments, they said in Anime Matsuri they want to take Le Mouvement Final to the US. And that they want to continue with the myus later, but 'you should keep supporting us to make it happen' or something... I think those are the intentions, but we will see. Also from what I got from the official website, LMF IS based on the 5th arc, yes. So, Stars musical this year. not impossible to go to the US, or to have more stuff later...I'm keeping my expectations in check XD

That whole “If you want more myus, please support us” thing has been going ever since the first Stars myu in 1996. After the SM anime and manga originally ended, it was thought the myus would end as well, because there wasn’t any new source material coming out. But they were so popular with fans, they were able to keep going. This is what led to the creation of fankans. (“Fankan” is short for fan kansha, which means “fan appreciation”).

This support - and lack of new source material - actually turned out to be good for SeraMyu, cause it pushed the writers to be creative, and led to the creation of stories that were unique to the myus, like the Kaguya myus and the Dracul Arc.

I think they always intended to do more myus after Shin Kaguya Shima Densetsu (Kaiteiban); that’s likely why it was called “Marinamoon Final” rather than “The Third Stage Final” (the last 2 myus were considered part of the third stage by producers). It’s just that their “short hiatus” turned into a 8-year one.

I do hope they come to the U.S. with a full musical, though, cause I would definitely go see that!

Does the official site say it’s a Stars one? I’ll have to check. It didn’t say that when I last checked the 25th anniversary site.

For future musicals, I’m hoping for some original story, like maybe a Crystal Tokyo story. That would be cool.

CREATIVITY

Most people find some degree of pleasure in a tasty meal. While this might be a truism, it’s also a fact that has powerful implications for the planet Earth - mostly because over 90% of the world population consumes animal products, the production of which has been proven by numerous studies to be a leading cause of pollution and land degradation and is known to consume as much as a 100 times more resources (land, water and energy) than the production of plant-based foods with a similar nutritional profile. Not to mention the inhumane nature of the process itself.

Knowing that, and having been vegetarian for four years, I’ve decided to cut all animal products out of my diet (with the exception of honey, the production of which can actually be beneficial to the environment and bee population). This decision presented a challenge. I, as most people, also enjoyed a tasty meal. I enjoyed a pancake, a quality cheese, a nice poached egg with my breakfast. Hell, before I went vegetarian, even a rolada śląska or a chicken noodle soup. Unfortunately, I also enjoyed integrity.

Necessity truly is the mother of invention, and as time passed, that became more evident. Rice and beans weren’t doing it for me anymore. Neither was hummus. I craved the flavours of my Silesia childhood, and drooled at the sight of non-vegan meals prepared by Michelin-starred chefs in YouTube videos. I had a dream, and that dream was vegan Polish fine dining.

A quick search proved I needed to learn how to make quality food myself. Luckily, around the time I made the decision to go vegan, I started working as a waiter at a vegan sushi bar, and started researching Japanese cuisine. My first idea for a meal was a variation of the Polish chicken noodle soup, and I’ve learned that in Japanese cuisine, a vegan stock prepared by infusing water with kelp called kombu dashi is used to flavour soups, as well as shiitake  dashi, prepared with shiitake mushrooms. That was my starting point. I picked up some dried kelp at my local Asian market, and used dried Polish wild mushrooms instead of shiitakes to put a local spin on the idea. The outcome was wonderful - my vegan broth gained the same umami flavour I remembered from a chicken stock.

After that breakthrough, I’ve started learning about traditional Asian meat substitutes and playing with various types of them. Vital wheat gluten (seitan), soya mince, yuba (tofu skin) and mushrooms (mostly oysters and portobellos) became necessities in my pantry. I’ve also researched varous kinds of tofu, plant milks and egg substitutes (such as flaxseed or, unexpectedly, oatmeal). To top that up, I’ve learned quite a bit about fermented foods and using them to “crank up” the flavour of vegan dishes. My first foray into that was a jar of soured honey!

Soon enough, it became evident to me that I had some culinary talent in me! One thing I didn’t feel completely confident with was desserts. The first dessert I made since going vegan was a jasmine tea and persimmon jelly, and it was absolutely disgusting. I mostly stuck to fruit afterwards. However, after a while, I decided it was time to keep trying. And so, I tried to bake some cookies and banana bread.

The cookies were hard as rocks, but the banana bread actually turned out alright! I started researching egg substitutes again, and it turned out bananas actually work in a similar manner as eggs. During the process, I’ve come across a recipe for a silken tofu cheesecake. I knew I had to try that. For the first time, I succeeded completely!

Overall, veganism so far has not only been a right ethical decision, but also, unexpectedly, a great adventure and an outlet for my creativity. I felt I’ve overcome some obstacles along the way - finding some ingredients required quite a bit of dedication and searching, not to mention the availability of information I wanted. For example, one thing I wanted to research was shojin ryori, a Buddhist Japanese plant-based traditional cuisine, but most of the resources were in Japanese or broken English. However, after a lot of snooping, I’ve found an electronic copy of the cookbook Kansha: Celebrating Japan’s Vegan and Vegetarian Traditions on Amazon, and found a lot of inspiration there (for example, the recipe for simmered white radish). When tasting that radish and feeling it basically melt in my mouth I thought to myself that dedication pays off. And it really did.

Right now, I can’t wait for spring. I’ve been reading up on edible flowers, traditional Silesian food, a variety of Polish vegan foods (mostly pickles), and as soon as fresh vegetables and flowers start hitting the markets, I’m hoping to harvest my crop, so to say. I’ll be following up with an update then.

Doomed Lovers

Here I am with this month’s themed week, in “Lyrical Love”! Today’s subject is a song by the Starwave Records band Misaruka, probably their most known one. It is named -Juliet- and it has been released as fifth track and even as lead of their first mini-album, with the same name, on 30th January 2013. This song carries on the real image of this band, with a light rock sound, in a baroque vibe, where the theme is romantic and sad at the same time, in a homage to one of the greatest masterpieces of the world literature.

THE MUSIC

A soft and sweet melody, with a baroque vibe, kicks off the song, accompained by a beautiful violin; then the rhythm goes faster and definitely lighter, with Rui’s vocals, clear and intense, whose notes reach even the falsetto, for a majestic interpretation. The song goes on sweet and gloomy, for a ballad which smells of nostalgia, filled by strong and passionate touches and pretty simple to enjoy.

THE WORDS

This song has been written by the singer Rui and it represents the core concept of this band, linking it to a famous but tragic love story. In fact, the whole mini-album, especially this song, revolves around the story of Romeo and Juliet, where she represents the core image of the text, the object of love, the only desirable person during the life. The protagonist is like Romeo, who sings his love and his great desire to stay with his beloved forever, but at the same time he predicts their sad and damned fate, where their love moves on a spiritual dimension rather than in a earthen one. And now... let’s analyze the song!

I) The text kicks off with the refrain, where the core image of the song is unveiled. The protagonist says if he hadn’t met his beloved that night (Moshimo ano toki kimi ni deawanakereba, a reference to the ball where Romeo and Juliet meet for the first time), he wouldn’t be in his pain (Boku wa konna ni kurushimu, because their love is impossible to happen), which is so strong that he was almost crying (koto monaku) and his tears blurred even his love for her (Nakitai kurai ni itoshii kimochi ni sae mo, note that the translation I have made is quite free, since literally it would be really impossible to understand, especially in this line) and so he didn’t notice of their doomed fate (Kizukenakatta); at the end of the sequence he invokes her in his heart («Nee... Juliet»).

II) On the notes of the waltz they were dancing, their fatal fate is unveiled (Chi no sadame wa daisan no WARUTSU), drawing an endless spiral (Owaru koto no nai rasen wo egaite, an unevitable one) and the bell (symbol of death) leads them towards a sad but beautiful end, because they will stay together forever (Kane no ne ga futari wo michibiite).

III) After the repetition of the first sequence, the protagonist thanks God (Dakara boku wa kamisama ni kansha shiterunda), for leading him to her (Kimi to meguri awasetekureta koto wo); as he is aware that he won’t meet again someone like her (Konna itoshii hito ni ha mou nidoto deaeru hazu mo naikara), he will think to his Juliet forever (Towa ni kimi wo omou yo).

IV) In the night when they exchanged their love promise in secret (Daremo shiranu chikai no yoru ni, reference to the balcony scene), an eternal light shines, as symbol of their wedding vow (Chigirareru wa towa no hikari matataku); so he begs that the moon, which was bringing this light, leads them towards their eternal love (Asu wo terasu tsuki ni michibikarete).

V) If he hadn’t fallen in love with her (Moshimo ano toki koi ni ochinakereba), defined as unreplaceable (Boku wa kakegae no nai), he wouldn’t feel anything (kono kimochi ni) and so, even if he will leave anything (Kizukenakatta nani wo sutete demo), he continues to protect her (Mamoritai to omou yo). Therefore he promises her the love (Dakara boku wa ima kimi ni ai wo chikau yo) and that he won’t regret his choice, even he will challenge the pain (Donna ni kurushimu koto ni natta to shitemo/Koukai wa shinai) and if that will make her smiling (kimi sae waraeba) he won’t ask anything else from his life (Hoka ni nani mo iranai yo).

VI) The final sequence starts with a definitive statement of their destiny; he tells his beloved to take his own hand (Saa kono te wo tsunaide) and to head together towards their own Eden (Futari dake no Eden e, meaning that they are dead). And after repeating the first sequence, the text ends with the protagonist who sings about the eternity for her (Towa wo kimi e utau yo), because that is the only dimension where their love can really happen, without any obstacle.

A deep but doomed love, which brings up joy and pain, suspended between life and death. Misaruka use one of the most tragic love stories of the past for expressing the force of true love, which against any probable scenery, will last, even in the afterlife, in the eternal dimension.
