Having vivid dreams the past two nights leaves me with the conclusion that I’m okay with violence against me in my dreams as long as it’s funny. Being stuck in a time loop and dying instantly in the exact same way two loops in a row because I know there’s no consequence and this can in fact get me closer to my end goal? Hilarious. I don't pay attention to MCU anymore, and honestly, I only really like certain aspects of it in retrospect, such as the Steve Rogers's stuff. I think about how outrageously wrong the writers were for writing him having sex before marriage (fornication). First of all, considering the character and values Steve had throughout the entire Infitnity Saga prior to Endgame, it comes off as widely out-of-character for him to having done that before. I'm (not) sorry, but Steve has a massive "I'll have her home by 8, sir. Don't worry." energy to him that I highly doubt he would've even been comfortable with the idea of sex outside of marriage. Steve is a correct type of man, and he'd very probably see it as disrespectful to her for him to do that. He's the type to stop before they go any further, actually, because he feels and knows it's not right. You have to add the fact that he was very probably raised as a Catholic. I don't care how you headcanon him and how much times have changed, Steve is a "by-the-book" kind of guy when it came to that and other things. Was he perfect? Of course not, but I'm (not) sorry, he would've waited until marriage. This isn't even just a baseless headcanon given how it's pretty in-character for him.

out of all the shitty captain america: civil war, who was right / who was wrong, team cap vs team iron man, winter soldier killing Tony’s parents crap that continues to resurface in this fandom, my least favorite discourse is whether or not Steve was wrong for kicking Tony’s ass in that scene towards the end.

I hate it so much because, no matter what side they take, no one seems to comprehend the fact that Tony was never actually going to kill Bucky. His suit has ever possible laser and bomb and rocket in it, and he had about four different clear shots to take that he didn’t.

He’d literally just taken down an entire concrete wall with complete ease, you think that couldn’t have killed someone??? He could’ve shot Bucky down on the ladder, because even if it didn’t hit him directly, the explosion itself would’ve done damage. He had Bucky in a headlock, could’ve killed him then. After Tony blew his arm off, both Bucky and Steve were on the ground and there was no fighting going on, he could’ve done it then.

Maybe I’m thinking about this too logically, but if Tony actually wanted to kill him, he would’ve done it.
