woke up this morning & part of my eyelid feels swollen 😭 !

One of the other employees at work has been leaving early the whole season (she did start out by asking first, if it was slow) and recently has just been. Like. Skipping shifts (including ones that she was meant to be supervisor for) and reducing her hours down to twice a week. Today, she did come in....and then maybe two hours in, as we were finishing up with a school group, she just was abruptly like “I can’t do this anymore” and left.

....I am so confused. We were literally just reaching the easiest part of the day like what?

anyway we spent part of the day wondering if this girl a) possibly quit, b) actually managed to get fired (this job is notorious for letting stuff slide because it’s apparently hard to find people to work? Despite having better pay than most places?), or c) is going to turn up again tomorrow like nothing happened (and probably leave early again if so).

I feel really out of touch, I was never a big Panic! fan, I liked their like first album or whatever but that was about it. Now everyone seems really happy that they are ending, but I thought people liked them, no? They always seemed to be popular. Never felt like more of a boomer in my damn life than I do right now lol.
