Gonna rant about work !

We got a new assistant store leader from another store and I just. have never been more stressed in my life at this stupid job. She’s bossy and mean, frankly. She doesn’t inspire, she seems to honestly put people down, talk down to them, and I wanna rip my hair out around her. I stress in her presence.

That much I guess I could get past, I don’t have to LIKE people to work with them. But she’s from another location and it seems like everything we do at this location is Wrong.

I’m doing petcare paperwork wrong, I’m doing tags wrong, I’m doing change orders wrong, I close the tills wrong, I do resets wrong, every FUCKING THING I try to do she corrects me.

She completely rearranged petcare (MY DEPARTMENT) without asking or running it by me and I hate her organization system. She put aquarium chemicals on the shelf above the food??? what the fuck?? And I feel like I cant change it back bc she’s my boss.

AND THEN yesterday she tells some stupid college girls they can have some feeder goldfish for EXPERIMENTS because they’re bio students. I denied the sale! no! It’s against corporate policy - we don’t sell animals for experimental purposes, parties, weddings, etc jfc. They’re students, I can’t guarantee their ‘experiment’ is going to be humane, it could be those dumb ‘bottle ecosystem’ things for all I know.

‘Well, we can’t deny any sale on feeder fish. they’re just feeders’ BITCH I JUST DID! I aint folding to that, that’s ridiculous! It’s. against. policy. I’m so sure. I need to look it up when she’s not around because I’m so sure.

Then I get a group chat today that we all need to re-sign the dress code and cell phone policy, and the whole store is getting a ‘first warning’. What? 1. I don’t think I’ve ever violated the dress code in my life and 2. I only ever have my phone out in the bathroom. Why do I get a warning bc other people have been bad in front of you? tit off omg

Then it’s slapping us all on the wrist for not signing the inspections 4x a day (literally) and ‘the inspections show we care about our animals’ just yesterday you said to me ‘they’re just feeder fish, they’re born to die anyway’ tell me again how much we care about our animals.
