What is the point?

No other situation would be tolerated if a certain specific demographic bought the same exact gun to slaughter as many people as possible.

White men buying AR-15s is a stochastic massacre. A probable outcome.

Add the extremism and radicalization within Right Wing rhetoric, and the probability gets much higher.

I'm a big fan of using paracord to mount weapon slings. I'm not a big fan of the way that paracord bunches up sling webbing.

Aside from a handful of potential 'field expedient' solutions such as using some form of tubing to reinforce the sling, and existing options like the ESD Paracord Guide which carries a sticker shock of $19-$25 a pop, I came across a different solution: ITW Nexus 1" 'Bottom Strap Grommets'.

These were originally designed to add lashing straps to kayaks and other hard gear/vehicle-based applications, I found they work quite well as paracord sling adapters - they allow you to easily replace/tighten the paracord and cost about 50 cents a piece as opposed to $25.

Theoretically, a plastic d-ring would be similarly effective, but the bolt/rivet hole of the ITW Strap Grommets offers a much tidier, more secure through-hole for better placement/retention of the knot. It's just nice and tidy while still being very open-ended and inexpensive.

The only downside is they only come in 1" width (and only come in black).
