I modded the Chris Ending Song for RE6, happy nivansfield day 2023

credits: futiles devices (doveman remix) + piano instrumental

Kept the initial sting in for the surprise factor haha.

It cuts off after 6 or so minutes and plays the RE6 opening theme.

I can't fix that without editing actual game files to change what song it being called on. If anyone knows how to do that please lmk, I'd love to be able to give all the routes individual end songs like Jake's but I think they all call the same files except his (and his may also transition into the main theme, I forget).

I don't think I can offer this mod for DL because its copyright but if anyone has made any nivanfield filk songs I could use instead that would be sharable lmk and I'll offer that.

41 - comfort food

Chris opens his apartment door to find Piers draped on the couch, a pint of chocolate fudge ice cream in his hands, three empty beer bottles on the coffee table, and his socked feet shoved half-heartedly beneath a bunched up throw rug.

"Uh oh," says Chris, closing the door cautiously behind him. "What happened?"

He steps out of his boots while Piers grumbles unintelligibly around a desert spoon, eyes glued to The Great British Bake Off. There's chocolate smeared across his lips and chin, and upon approach Chris notices his old Bon Jovi sweatshirt adorning (swamping) Piers' torso.

"Piers?" Chris reaches over the back of the couch to touch fluffy, freshly washed hair. No spikes to be seen. "You good?"

Piers grumbles again, more emphatic this time, and Chris barely stifles a laugh. After too many stressful missions, too many disagreements on the field, Chris knows Piers' anger better than anyone. He can pinpoint his mood from the set of his shoulders, can distinguish concentration from frustration in the angle of his permanently-furrowed brows. Piers' anger is familiar. Easy to spot. So to find the man pouting childishly into a nearly empty tub of ice cream instead of stiffly pacing a gouge in their floorboards is far more welcome than he'd admit.

Eventually, he hears, "Why'd you have to recruit Muller."

He chuckles out loud and ignores Piers' betrayed look, crouching down behind the armrest to plant a kiss on his crinkled forehead. "He beat you at hand-to-hand, huh?"

"He's a dick," Piers complains, which isn't a no, and Chris laughs again as the man he loves dives back into his ice cream.

"Any of that left for me?"

"S'mine."

"The nougat pint was yours. This was supposed to be for both of us."

Piers hums, reluctant. Scoops drippy chocolate cream onto a spoon and offers it up. "Fine."

Chris kisses him instead, licking at the smears of chocolate just to cause an aggrieved squawk, and stands. "You're a mess," he says, moving back towards the kitchen. "And the hand-to-hand scores are still getting posted on the leaderboard."

Piers' drawn out groan of protest rings through the apartment, and it's never felt more like a home.

100% Chreon. That is my live or die ship. I will dabble in the others like Nivansfield or a Chrisker but at the end of the day, it’s Chreon. (That will be on my headstone)

25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?

Oooh… so, I wasn’t the biggest fan of his originally. I think it’s because I never actually played the original games. I played 2 and then went from there so my OG love was always Leon but when I did eventually play 5, it was after I had played 6 (obv did not play in order) so I was kind of indifferent to him (based off of his interpretation in 6 even tho, I have obv re-evaluated how he was portrayed in 6 and he was def handed the short end of the stick). I really liked him in 5 and then it kind of grew from there. I love him in the movies too so that was a plus (he also kind of reminds me of my brother so I guess that also leads into it).
