Hello! I'm Nishimori

August is here 🍉 I may have been born in the summer, but I don't really like the heat. Lately, I have been looking back on last year's photos, wishing I could be going for a swim in the river lol

I also like cucumbers, and, I'm thinking of becoming a kappa in my next life 🥒 [T/L note: 'Kappa' is a type of mythical, water-dwelling, reptilian humanoid creatures, similar to deities, who are said to inhabit the rivers and streams flowing over Japan.] I want to live by the river 🏡

I loved jumping straight into the river with my friends, even in my practice clothes, once the club activities ended

Oh, I didn't tell you which club I was part of back in elementary school 🫢

I was a setter in the volleyball team! [T/L note: When it comes to volleyball, the setter is the player responsible for strategizing the team's attack plays, by using the set.] I wasn't a small setter only ☝ Thanks to having played in the volleyball club, I'm good at shouting loudly ^_^

[During a] live [concert] one day, I want to shout 'Everyone, let's goooーーーー！!' in a really loud voice lol

For those of you who are currently students and are taking part in club activities, I want you to cherish each and every moment

Club activities really were the soul of youth

Although this may be changing the subject,

I would like to start writing about each of our members starting from today!

'Only I know that 〇〇 is this type of person!' I'll share such anecdotes from time to time

Other members have written a little bit about this on their blogs, I may be the most spoiled member but? She's the oneesan [elder sister-like person] that spoils me the most!

I don't particularly intend to be spoiled though 😗

What made me happy recently was that Yuzu-chan invited me to hang out with her!

'Why don't we go hang out together！!'

I grinned when I saw her contacting me

In the group, she really is the number one elder sister-like presence and the one I rely on the most. If I'm ever facing a problem that's likely to bring tears to my eyes, I think Yuzu-chan is the one I'll always go to.

But, given how Yuzu-chan is the eldest in the group, I wonder if she's under pressure to maintain that image and always be the reliable oneesan. If that's the case, I'd like to support you to the best of my ability

Yuzu-chan! Don't forget to confide in me about your problems every now and again I'll be back and soon hang out with you again!

Oh no… I could write about this endlessly I'll make sure to tell her the rest in person 💌

The year was 1982.

The most remarkable thing about that year wasn’t the fact that she had once again moved far from her original home, a thing she had become far too accustomed to, but instead the fact her mother had chosen such a small town this time around. Through her life, she had moved seven times—eight, counting this one—, though she didn’t remember some of those. Kyoto, Nagoya, Tokyo, Sapporo… her mother’s taste was very clear. She didn’t want to live in a small town where everyone knew each other, even if it wasn’t completely closed off from the world. So hearing her mother declare that they would be living in Morioh, not that far from S City, M Prefecture, she was understandably confused.

“I just want to try out something new,” Was all she parroted when Momoe questioned her, prompting her teen daughter to give up on that line of questioning rather quickly despite her usual inquisitiveness.

Morioh was this strange little town. During the summer, there would be so many tourists thanks to the beautiful landscapes and its proximity to S City that one would be shocked to hear that, during the winter, the city was almost inaccessible. If you asked around for long enough about Maiko or Yuki or Kosaku or Aya, you would hear stories both from amused, talkative grandmothers and from friendly police officers; the time one of them, as a kid, stuck gum in someone else’s hair, or when they accidentally broke a shop’s window while playing soccer, or how their parents worked at S City in some restaurant chain. If you asked for long enough, you would hear about anyone and everyone who had ever lived in Morioh, and sometimes even the neighboring city.

Honestly, that was what made her so apprehensive of living in Morioh. Being somewhere like this, where there were unspoken ways to do things, where everyone knew each other’s families and friends, it was something that she found much more frightening than comforting. She was the daughter of a single mother, who not only never married, but had severed her ties with her family. They were on their own since Momoe was born. She was lucky that her mother had found a good job, though it kept her going from city to city.

Small cities were like that, weren’t they? The types of place where people would judge this type of mother— No, that type of family. She worried more about her mother than about herself, but if she insisted to come here…

Momoe Nishimori smiled as she stepped outside, her Walkman safely secured in her blazer’s pocket. If she showed worry, her mother wouldn’t be able to focus on her work and would worry over her instead. She turned her head back to the inside of the house, only hearing the loud smacking of the keyboard inside. Her mom should be too busy writing on her new computer (only affordable thanks to her recent success with work) to see her off today.

She just tried to look confident. Yeah, she wouldn’t be intimidated by this city. She’d just power her way through the day.

Dreams Turn Deadly in "18if" Trailer

  A new trailer has been published that explores the dark and potentially deadly dream-worlds of 18if, an upcoming TV anime based on a smart phone game by Mobcast. The trailer highlights the otherworldly opening theme of the series, "Red Doors feat. Yoshikazu Mera", by TeddyLoid.

    Additionally, the voice actors for "11 witches" have been announced, including:

One day, he ends up trapped in the dream of a witch who wishes to escape reality, a condition called "Sleeping Beauty Sickness". Will Haruto be able to find the exit and return to the waking world?

    18if is directed by Akira Nishimori and others and features animation by GONZO. The series will broadcast on Tokyo MX beginning on July 07, 2017, with a later broadcasts to follow on AT-X beginning on July 08, 2017, and on BS Fuji beginning on July 10, 2017. 18if has also been licensed for distribution in North America by Funimation.

It's been a while, everyone ^_^ I'm Nishimori

The days are only getting hotter and hotter, but, are all of you okay? I'm eating more and more ice cream every day, I'm in trouble…

When it's hot out, the number one quickest way to cool off is to get in the river ☝ This recommendation is coming from a river[-loving] child

The online talk session that took place on Saturday Was reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally, really fun!!

The people who support me are seriously kind

'Have you gotten used to it yet?' or 'I know it's a long haul, but hang in there' and 'Aren't you tired?'

There are lots of people who say kind words to me 😭 It really feels like the day went by too fast I guess that must mean that I just had too much fun.

Turns out that there were many people who read my previous blog, and I was happy to hear everyone's requests for what they want me to do and to post next! Some of the requests are a tad embarrassing, but I'll try to fulfill them to the best of my ability on my blog!

The green smoothie team 🥬 Between you and me, I'm not the best when it comes to vegetables. So so, I was a little hesitant to drink it, but when I did, I was surprised to discover that not only was it very easy to drink, but it also tasted very good

All three of the smoothies are very tasty, so please try them all out and compare them! We also had a lot of fun filming [for the CM]

🏖 Odaiba Adventure King 2023 🍧 (Nishimori Aya 7th blog)

I slept for more than 12 hours again 💤 Hello, I’m Nishimori!

Odaiba Adventure King 2023 has started on the 22nd of July! And all of us, BokuAo, are the official supporter [group]!

Yesterday, at the opening ceremony, we performed ‘Aozora ni Tsuite Kangaeru’! It was the first time we performed live while in front of an audience, so all of us were really excited

But, when I went up on stage, I saw uchiwas or boards with my name written on them 😳 Ehhhhー！I was so happy about that! When I saw that, I was able to dance without feeling so nervous

Thank you very much to all the BokuAo fans who made it [performing] so much fun Thank you to those who watched us on TV too!

Let’s perform as 23 people next time! I’m always waiting, ok~

I’m Nishimori Aya, who’s been getting more and more polished since turning 20 ✨

Today, on the 20th, Weekly Young Jump has been released!

We, BokuAo, appear on the cover!

It was the first time I’ve ever been photographed in anything other than our blue uniforms, so it felt kind of weird and I was a bit nervous (lol)

I was happy that all 23 of the different outfits that featured denim were thoughtfully designed, so they would suit each person (^^)

And above all, the set was really cute, so I hope people will pay attention to that

The eighteenth day of the seventh month (Nishimori Aya 5th blog)

Hello! I turned 20-years-old today ✨

20-years-old really is a milestone With that in mind, I asked my mother about my childhood

The name Aya comes from…

−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−− They [my parents] thought of a name and called me ‘Aya’ (‘杏弥’), so that everyone can easily get to know me The kanji came from the character for ‘apricot’ (‘杏’), which my mother likes, and from the character ‘ya’ (‘弥’), which has an elegant, old-fashioned image. −−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−

I’ve never heard of that before It’s seriously my first time hearing it (lol)

What was I like when I was little…

A child who was able to learn words quickly

A talkative child

My family, my friends and myself never could have imagined that I’d be here now.

It was seriously hot during the holidays, wasn’t it

I had yesterday and today off, so I tried to go out, but it was too hot…

I thought I was going to become karinto [T/L note: Karinto are a deep fried type of sweet Japanese snack with a characteristic rough, burnt appearance]!

Summer is equal to shaved ice!

I ate shaved ice from a shop that specializes in shaved ice, for the very first time, and I was surprised by how delicious it was!

Thinking about the blue sky (Nishimori Aya 3rd blog)

Helloooo! This is Nishimori Aya, who once again feels like she wants to become a bear, after sleeping 14 hours during her latest time off

On the 11th of July, our debut song ‘Aozora ni Tsuite Kangaeru’ was released [before the actual single came out] Have you had a chance to listen to it yet?

(Even if some of you might know this) My reason for auditioning was to escape from reality, back when I was looking for a job

I couldn’t decide on any company I’d want to work for, and I had no idea what I wanted to become in the future. That’s when I came across this audition, and, very casually, I submitted my application while going, ‘This is just an escape from the [harsh] reality of job hunting.’

And… Here I am now.

Turns out, you never know what life might have in store for you! I hope you’ll listen to ‘Aozora ni Tsuite Kangaeru’ and think about your youth, together with us

I, for one, would say that age has nothing to do with youth

All in all, I hope this song will reach many people 💭

My motivation may have been a little different from everyone else’s, but Now I really am doing my best!

I feel really happy to be able to live by doing something I love!
