Nipplefruit, aka Solanum Mammosum.

I am having a crisis over this fruit so you guys get to participate!

This is nipplefruit. Why does it look like that. Those lumps would be seen as disease carrying on any other self-respecting plant, and this plant apparently has to have five of them on each fruit.

It looks like it was created by God on the same day that he created Australia. I hope that there's some as yet undiscovered biological advantage to the lumps. I just absolutely hate the design of this fruit.

To add insult on top of injury, it's also poisonous, though apparently they make nipplefruit juice and fried nipplefruit in Singapore or thereabouts. I'm unclear on the details and I deeply do not want to know.

It's called kuheuterpflanze in German, because of course they have a name for this hellfruit.
