The title of my latest book is Another Castle because life is full of “another castle” moments. Sometimes we scale a mountain only to get a better view of the next larger mountain that we must climb. Life is full of those moments where you think you’ve reached your goal only to find out it’s in another castle. The goal, the finish is important but you have to love the race, enjoy the journey. @garyvee always says “you have to love the process.” I want to encourage you today get out from the burden of failure, if you’re on the path, if you’re working towards your goal you’re not a failure, you’re just not there yet. Embrace the “another castle” moments love your journey and you will get there eventually. I’ve carried that burden of feeling like a failure most of my life and I finally let go even though my circumstances didn’t change. It was a standard I had set in my head and it was killing me. Now that it’s off my back I’m happy and more motivated than ever to reach my goals. Evaluate the standards you have set for yourself and reset them if you have to. Early Saturday mornings weren’t meant for sleeping in they were meant for playing Super Mario Bros. before my mom could start her timer. I would tiptoe past my parent's room to the living room. Standing in front of our television, which was more wood than metal, with one had on the power button and one on the volume I would say a little prayer. Praying that whatever my dad was watching the night before wasn’t up to loud. With a smooth press of the power button followed by the frantic pressing of the volume down, I would then listen for footsteps. With the coast clear, I would then blow in the cart insert it into the NES and begin my quest to rescue the princess. . . . I tagged some amazing accounts make sure to follow them! . .
