Do they reunite?

It's a question I ask myself a lot when planning this series. Loke is haunted by a character the readers never meet but he's sure she's alive somewhere out there. Jake's love slips out of his fingers and falls to their death. Kyle is pushed out of a flying vessel with a stab-wound to her abdomen. Wendy is shot in the head.

There are more and the question is, do they meet the ones they cared for again or is their part of this story done? Not because death is the final destination for my characters but because sometimes, their story is done.

Maybe reuniting feels like it'd be so good, just what the still-breathing character needs, but maybe that's not what the one who died needs. Maybe they get to be dead now because their story is finished and they can finally rest.

in stars and time "invisible siffrin" au braindump

half of my isat mutuals also love moomin so i've come to cause pain on both fronts

siffrin undergoing something similar to ninny in tales from moominvalley.

as time goes on, and with more and more loops, he slowly begins to disappear, until all you can see is the darkless hat and cloak. Like they've been forgotten, and all that's left behind is a vauge silhouette. just like the island.

they can't hide that they've become invisible (ironically), so they tell the party. they go through the house, to the head housemaiden. the loops reset. Over and over. Eventually siffrin just gives up on telling the party and disappears entirely during act 5. the party believes that he's abandoned them, so Siffrin goes into the house alone.

at the end of act 5, siffrin briefly reappears, but disappears again soon after. they're still feeling horrible about the loops. They know they're loved, but they have pretty much lost their sense of identity.

the party helps him along the best they can. they find a chain for the bell pendant, so siffrin can walk around and not worry about startling people. Stick around him, make sure he has company.

oooh the prime rifters. they were canonized in their source material (jrwi, a ttrpg podcast i dont really listen to anymore, but i sure do remember it!) LIKE!!! they were made to fill a plot hole secondarily but firstly made because everyone was having a good fun time. the series was on hiatus so we were all like. well lets just make our own supersonas!! the idea was thought up by my good friend riley minkeroo (the valence guy) and then everybody latched onto it so fast and then we started roleplay accounts made a whole story entirely seperate from the og podcast and its years later and im still obsessed w them.

i did check the tweets where they got canonized (called lovingly the prime rifters incident) and theyve been deleted <//3 but god who even cares atp. that shit was so fun and is still fun and i love these characters to death AND I WILL KEEP LOVING THEM!!! THEM AND ALL THE PEOPLE WHO PARTICIPATED IN PDSS!!!

When you open the door, thinking it could be your neighbor again to ask if you could look after his daughter's bunnies for the weekend, you jump a bit back seeing Jungkook stand in front of the door, black canvas bag in hand and a small smile on his lips.

"You fled from going out on a date tonight, so I'll bring the date to you." He offers, and you look down at his shoes in shame. You know he knows you lied. He somehow always knows. "And I don't mind if you're in pre-heat. I can keep my hand to myself, promise- though that's not what's up, is it?" He asks, and you shrug, before you let him inside.

What he does notice is, however, that while you probably intended to lie, it's not exactly untrue either. There is in fact a hint of something else in your usual normal scent, similar to cinnamon, but its only a hint. You might've not noticed yourself- but he's got some pretty strongly developed senses, making him quick to notice shifts like this. He's always been pretty sensitive to smells, even as a child after all, and it's only gotten more the older he'd gotten.

"I'm sorry.." you mumble more or less, nervously looking around. "I just.. thought you might've wanted to maybe spend today with the.. you know.. the pretty wolf hybrid you had tattooed-" you start to ramble, and he chuckles, opening your fridge to put a bottle of white wine into it, before he places some takeout boxes on your kitchen counter.

"Oh trust me, she'd rather spend the day with you than me." He tells you all amused. "Had to put her into her place real quick; otherwise she would've gone out and try and snatch you away from me." He says, before turning around, arms crossed.

"Wh- she?" You wonder, a bit caught off guard, and he nods.

"You're a lot more appealing than you might think you are." He tells you, and you turn a bit red at that.

"I'm sorry.. I got jealous." You confess, and he smiles, nodding.

"I know. And it's cute-" he tells you, "-but please don't push me away like that all the time, alright?" He asks, and you nod.

"I won't. I'm sorry- I don't know why I'm like this.." you mumble, and he holds out his hands, opening and closing his palms in a grabbing motion to ask you closer. It's something you immediately follow him up on, hugging him close, your cheek unknowingly rubbing on his shirt to scent him. He laughs under his breath.

"How can you become cuter and cuter every day?" He complains playfully, hands running over your back. "Come, let's eat." He gently tells you, letting you help to players up the takeout he's bought to 'bring the date to you' like he'd said- though his next words make you a but wary.

"I've got something important I wanna tell you."

What are your thoughts on Lunter Monster AU?

Also what are your headcanons on Lunter?

If you're referring to the one where Luz is the Titan-thingy and Hunter is distorted into Belos' form, I'm not a fan. (Mind you, I have not even seen S3 as I've mentioned, but I've of course seen screenshots and have some very vague concepts of what went on) I know folks of that AU of course conceptualize Hunter as being fully himself in that form, but it still doesn't seem romantic to me. Hunter would still hate to be in that form, imo. That form represents all that is foul to him. Luz's 'Titan form' doesn't carry the same negative baggage, so I don't really have any issues with that half of the equation, I guess.

But if I personally were craving a monster AU, I'd fashion something a bit different. Last night I was browsing a fan wiki for the heck of it, and it mentioned Beast Keeping magic including the ability to transform into a beastial form. When we saw Eberwolf transform into a spooky scary kitty cat, I had always assumed that was just a natural part of his species. But the wiki put forth the idea it was a part of Beast Keeping magic. Which makes sense, honestly (I think there even was a lil magicy noise when he did it, don't remember). Anyway, if that's true then that opens the door for goshdarn any character having a badass beast form if they wanted to.

In the "old days" (lol) there was a very popular Au where Hunter was cursed like Eda and had a similar bird beast form (except cardinal, not owl). That's a fun idea, although I feel a bit hesitant about AUs that take away a powerful, personal storyline from one character and giving it to another to drum up extra angst. That happens in another fandom I'm in, Moomins. There was a girl, Ninny, who has a magical condition that's a metaphor for something (she turned invisible due to being emotionally abused by her caretaker). Folks love to have Snufkin turn invisible too. Always felt a bit cheap to me, I dunno. Eda's storyline with her curse is a metaphor for learning to live with chronic illness, and I would personally hate to take that away from her or lessen its impact, especially when that storyline means so much to me personally.

But uhhhhhghhh I dunno, I also totally understand the appeal, and it's not like the idea of a werewolf-esque storyline is copywrited by Eda (& Lillith). I'm not saying you suck if you do this, heck I've certainly daydreamed sometimes about Hunter curse AU (especially Hunter instinctively building a nest 'cause that's just adorable), guess I'm just saying I feel mixed over it.

I'm rambling. The point I wanted to get to-- if Hunter used Beast Keeping Magic, instead of a curse as the reason to have a beast form, it would make me personally feel a lot better about not borrowing too heavily from Eda's storyline. And like, we know SO little about Beast Keeping magic, so it would be cool to explore it more.

Hello! Thanks for the ask, and the kind words! 1. Preference for top or bottom, sub or dom: So for top/bottom: Garrus loves both, and being bi he has extensive experience with both. Jane has less experience bc she has less experience relationship wise in general, but she gets very into pegging once they start dating. As for dom/sub, in my detective au Garrus leans dom and Jane leans sub, though they'll switch and play around. They just adore each other so much I think they both get too twitterpated while having sex to stick to any roles or plans 😁 2. Favorite type, looks, and personality wise? Garrus is attracted to Jane's strong personality, confidence, soft heart, and her ability to take charge. He's attracted to her hair, hips, and waist, and especially her delicate places that bend (ankle, wrist, neck, back) Jane is attracted to Garrus's heart, that fact that he's good at anything he tries, and his sense of humor. She's into his confident body language, seductive, pendulating hips, forearms, ass, voice...she's just really hot for him, all of him, haha. 3. Deep and slow? Hard and fast? Yes, haha. They're just horny for each other. I think they both lean more towards deep, slow, tender, but also intense and passionate. Jane leans way more into rough stuff than Garrus. In the latest chapter (6) I teased that Jane will enjoy some pain/pleasure play specifically because she finds she's really into aftercare. 4. Favorite position? I'm currently trying to read some of your works to revive such beautiful experiences with your beautiful work but I came up to something so strange and I hope you don't mind me asking 🙈

I wanted to read again -like for the 17837384 time- the Death's Judge Series you posted on AO3 but your account says you have no works posted so far. I clicked on each individual book and it said I have to have an AO3 account. So I put myself on the list and they said I'll receive an invitation near June 15th.

But I wanted to ask you if you deleted those books? I mean, if you did, I totally respect you for that and I don't want you to see this ask as some random anon pestering you about your work. I'm really just curious.

The Death's Judge Series is a beautiful fic I go back to when I feel nostalgic. Funny thing to say, I know haha, but I really enjoyed it and I can say it is my favourite fic of all times.

I hope you are doing well and that I'd be able to re-read your books in 10 days and if not, at least I can say I got to read it before and I totally respect your decision of taking it down.

Just know that you are a great author and I admire you so much. And if it manages to encourage you a bit, I finished reading the copy of Clearview Cove you send through your Newsletter and I can only say I really really really enjoyed it.

The plot was awesome and the character development was so beautifully built that I couldn't stop reading it. I just read it again btw. There's just something about your writing that makes me want to come back to it. And that's a lot to say from me hahaha.

My Agatha Christie re-reading project, #59: By the Pricking of my Thumbs

This is a book that starts off with not enough happening, and ends up with too much happening.

The beginning of the book, where Tommy and Tuppence go to visit Tommy's aunt Ada at the retirement home, is great fun. Aunt Ada pretends to be confused so she can have an excuse to call Tuppence a tart (and imply that she's one of many tarts). She then demands to speak only to Tommy, so Tuppence settles in another room, where she strikes up a conversation with an old woman who is a resident at the home.

Rather Fried Green Tomatoes – but instead of a benign Ninny, Tuppence gets creepy Mrs. Lancaster, who talks about a dead child behind the fireplace.

A few weeks later, Aunt Ada is dead, and Mrs. Lancaster has been taken from the home, nobody knows where.

It's a really good opening!

Unfortunately, Tuppence then latches onto a painting that she deems Very Important, and spends much of the book trying to find out about the house portrayed in that painting, and interviewing a number of people who are not particularly interesting or, in some cases, relevant.

Meanwhile Tommy is fucking off on some old stogeys meeting that's not particularly interesting or relevant either.

It's all a bit rambly and meandering.

And then we get big chunks of plot, including murders of children, murders of the elderly, a massive crime syndicate complete with a mastermind, a character called "Killer Kate", and a very brief bout of amnesia.

Frankly, half of that would have been enough. If it had just been the murder stuff without the crime syndicate stuff, it could have been a pretty good novel, even with the rambling bits, but at it is, my verdict is 2/5.

They were on every corner . Every billboard , display , all rendered the same title . Those she passed seemed to ramble about them in equal fashion , so much that her vision started to blur again trying to keep track . Yeah , something definitely wrong . Not only is she struggling to find the path that initially leads her to the city dump , but certain colors as the mesh of rose and gold have hindered her ability to see properly .

It's not until she bumps into one of the many people lingering among the area that her thoughts derail , barely having time to process anything ; as her skips a beat . Jingles from several key sets follow those guided footsteps , the smell of leather quickly fading as Darkeners scatter from their spot in line .

She barely catches a glimpse .

The crowd seems all but willing to trample over themselves for closer range , and while many are eager to get a first-hand deal his voice finally snaps her to reality . His name barely a whisper .

❝ Spaul ? ❞

She navigates through the crowd , some pricking her while others are quick to try and elbow her back in line all of which heighten her sensory levels .

❝ Spaul !! ❞

Alas her efforts were rebut on account of someone grabbing her wrist , a frightened squawk drowned by fans still trying to engage in conversation . * Hey what's a Lightner doin' here ?! * A LIGHTNER ?? * Where ?!

Instantly there's a shift in the crowd , some still flocking while others turn their attention to her . Similar excitement brews as a group begins to circle around Eileen with many reaching for the leopard print kimono jacket , bereding her if not thrilled to see their idol had succeeded in drawing attention the outside . * Can you believe this ?! * They really do have a glow to 'em ! * It's because of those glasses you ninny ... * Hey , those are Mr.Big Shot's glasses !!

By now the majority of taller guests had circled among the crowd displaying a mass of shorter Darkeners , each met with similar nudges from Eileen as she tries to maintain distance . Though let's be real , kind of impossible at this rate . Still , it's rather amusing to see .

An accessory of unprecedented value , once a staple in markets and other businesses looking to ride the coat tails of his success . The spherical pair came in many colors during the seventies , but for Darkeners it holds symbolism .

A reminder that everything , is not at it seems .

Bits of code dancing in the corner of her vision , however it's far too late for Eileen to make sense of it . The world slowly began to crumble with gravity following suit , numbers assaulting each lens as her screams are drowned by the infinite white noise . Falling into their world . . . again .

What unforeseen source is responsible has little care towards the brunette's sensory issues , thus depositing her in the middle of town square , where all that stimulation can formulate to an even more deafening sound among various "cungaderos" . The landing , though unceremonious left Eileen with somewhat of a minor concussion . Ears still ringing upon lifting her head , lids fluttering only to find her view painted in similar contrast to the puppet's shades .

❝ Wh─ ?? ❞

Did she pass out walking home from work ? Did something attack her on the way ? Whatever it was her body felt like it'd been hit by a freight train , even after regaining balance . Billboards , cars , newspaper vendors , note of these surroundings are ignored until she turns around . Technicolor hues , illuminated by a familiar face with Benguiat Caslon font . Had that sign always been there ? It's here Eileen attempts to remove her [ DEALMAKERS ] , wanting a better view only to realize they were practically melded to her face . Several tugs ( and curses ) later she surrenders , panic ensuing with the now permanently equipped specs that do little other than make themselves comfy along her bridge .

Something's wrong . The streets are busier than usual , and while she managed to sift through the crowd those same numbers she witnessed to during her free fall begin popping up . Newpapers , ads , even dates plastered outside the establishments all remain the same .
