why is lloyds gi sleeveless/has a different sleeve design than the rest? tbh i can see kai and cole taking their sleeves off but not so much lloyd..

are there any meanings/inspiration the sash designs + end tassles come from or are they just Aesthetic? same question for nya and jays gloves!!!

does cole have a ponytail/bun? it kinda looks like he does but ita so dark i can't really tell JGJGNFJG

Yeyeye! I can answer all of them :))))

1. I have a. story for Kai’s arm, it’s got to do with my oc Akako in my AU! It’s around the finale of Season 2, when they’re on the Dark Island. Akako wants to prove to Garmadon that she’s good enough to keep (maybe there’s a conflict or a threat that the Overlord/Garmadon will leave her on the Dark Island while they return to ninjago.) So this time she doesn’t hold back, and neither do the ninja considering she’s been a thorn in their side for some time.

They aren’t exactly aware of her element, and how it works until it’s too late. Any damage she takes she can use it against others, though at the cost of her having to deal with those wounds. This includes elements (if she was struck by Jay she can zap him back ❤️)

Thus, Kai attempts to finish her off once and for all, and stabs her with his sword (im pretty sure their weapons at the time can harness their elements). Akako while decently hurt, uses this as a final opportunity to attack before fleeing (or before going insane who knows (i don’t)). She attempts to absolutely incinerate him but he’s only able to dodge so much and gets burnt really badly on his arm. He takes the gap between season 2 and season 3 (maybe even up until 4) to recover properly. And when she eventually does get her goofy redemption arc he’s the last person to trust her.

As for his gold tooth I’d imagine he got it knocked out around season 5 and got the gold filler before or at the start of season 6 to show off honestly. I think it suits him 🦐

2. Lloyds gi is sleeveless because i thought it’d look decent enough 💀 He’s admittedly a little thinner/lankier than the others though so I might go back to him wearing a tank top or something underneath. He does have gloves that go really high up his arms, so he’s covered up a little bit. Those are just concept sketches I made on a whim however, I’m working on the proper reference as we speak :)

3. There’s somewhat of a connection yes :) Though i need to figure out the plot reason behind it, I do know that they’re based off the tassels of Akako

The season I’m making that those gi appear in is a season based around her, so I thought it’d be neat for their designs to all tie together!

I actually did take a bit of inspiration from Sky: Children of Light, and their cape outfits. There’s a certain cape with tassels coming from them and I thought that’s be cool to incorporate and personalise for each ninja. It’s also a callback to back in 2017/2018 where when I drew them as silly little stickmen I liked to draw their tassels differently! Akako is a reworked oc from back then as well (vomits)

Nya and Jays gloves are more of an aesthetic choice for me, but I do take a lot of inspiration from steven universe and their designs sometimes. With Nya specifically I loved the one fingered gloves that Sardonyx from Steven Universe wear :)

4. That is indeed a Cole man bun he has too much hair for his own good

5. *breathes in sleeveless designs* I like the season 4 designs so much they are my absolute favourite of the bunch! So idk i thought it’d be cool. I have such a soft spot for season 4 oml (i have trauma from season 4 I WROTE A FANFICTION OF SEASON 4 WHERE I INSERTED MY OC INTO IT BUT I WROTE IT WHEN I WAS 10 AND HER NAME WAS SKYLER AND I SHIPPED HER WITH JAY AND KAI HAD A CRUSH ON HER AND SHE WAS LLOYDS COUSIN AND NAWWWWWWW

1. Ambiguous (as I realize now) may have been a bit too…. well, ambiguous, of a word to use, but I still don’t know what I should put instead of it, so it stays in the relationship chart, but I made this additional chart which is a bit more specific as well! Basically ambiguous means that it’s a relationship still being developed where the au currently is at timeline wise (if that makes sense?)

2. The reason I said spoilers in the bruise ask was because I’m writing a cyberpunk au fic on this! (More specifically oppo, but the others will be heavily included as well !!!)

3. Yes it eventually turns into a poly relationship!

I can give small rundowns of how they meet, but they will be kept minimal (again, don’t wanna spoil too much xD):

Technology can seem like it’s some sort of magical power but I wouldn’t say it is, it’s more like something that’s possible just not in our time. It you’re thinking about giving an oc like star some high-tech things then I suggest taking away some of her powers, you know, like her dragon aura (which isn’t really a power), the samadhi fire and the creation magic. Also if you are talking about star I think making the technology look like star fidget toys would be smart, this gives her an excuse to bring them everywhere with her without people questioning it and could be a fun thing about her character

I’m super confused because why does it say in the Ninjago wiki that It’s only been one year since the merge but in the series Nya says it’s been yearS . Years PLURAL. Plus Sora and Arin seem to have clearly aged up a lot cuz in the flashbacks Arins much shorter meaning he’s probably not even a teen and same goes for Sora. Like between their flashbacks of when the merge first happened they look pretty different. But for some reason they’re saying it’s been one year only? That makes no sense 😭

Ryacus belongs to my brother (STATRIUS on tumblr & twitter) so I can't really answer that part. He does like Pixane so maybe Zane has two partners or is just with Zane.

He does have an Elemental power; plasma/blood manipulation.

We don't know all of the Source Dragons, so I'm refraining from attaching Imagination from one until we get some others revealed, but Life or Energy may fit for now.

The FSM probably didn't have imagination; he already had the necessary powers to create either way. Opheo has no idea why his is Imagination, how that's even an Element, and is unsure if there is any past holders of the Element.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'come into existance' but if you mean the Element it just manifested. It's definitely from a disturbance (he was the first example of the Merge making new Elements before it actually happened).

If you mean Opheo; his father is a deadbeat and somehow managed to pull two Serpentine ladies and dumped Ryacus and Opheo on the streets after stealing them from their mothers.

TRIVIA TUESDAYS with the NNQ Cast Questions for the Director:

1.) How did you become the director?

I became the director of the project after the previous director was let go for reasons I will not disclose. It is not my place to say anything. Hope you all can understand.

2.) How has your journey as the director affected your life? The journey has been quite the rollercoaster since taking over last October, but after almost a year of work, I would say we are in a good spot. Certainly has made my life a lot more interesting.

3.) How did you motivate everyone helping the project to continue work?

I've been trying to make sure due dates are adhered to, but never forcing people out for missing them. People seem to enjoy the freedom of the project, but also understand there is a timeline for most things.

4.) What do you do to stay calm when production doesn't go as planned? I just think about all the progress that has been done in just a year and think about all the progress that was not happening before hand. Helps me stay calm knowing the project is in such good hands now.

5.) I would personally like to give a special shout out to my best friend from college! @cboffshore Without you I wouldn't have learned about this amazing project! You are an amazing friend and hope we can hang out again soon! KEEP ON SPINNING!

I kinda wanna answer questions about Galaxy so imma make a QnA post thing!

I have several Galaxy AUs, I'll list as many as I can here, and you can ask about any of em!

Original!Galaxy/NinjagoMultiverseAU! Galaxy (this is her original storyline. I have most of the story in my head, and can probably answer any question. As per the name of this AU, its set in a multiverse, so FNaF, Murder Drones, Lackadaisy, WoF, Minecraft Story Mode, and all fictional universes are canon. She's only been to a few (out of the infinite universes, so yeah. Crystalized also took place a year after she ended up in Ninjago, as well as Morro's mortal return, so there's that!)

Murder Drones AU (Essentially Galaxy as a worker drone! I have most of this lore too!)

Pirates of the Caribbean AU (this is a relatively new one (by new, barely a week old), but I have a good chunk of lore!)

Deal with the Enemy (Lackadaisy) AU (this one I have a wip fic for! Questions might actually help me develop the story a bit!)

Blue visor!AU (basically, an au of my multiverse Au set in a post apocalyptic cyberpunk Ninjago. Galaxy's reputation has been ruined by an evil alternate version of herself, and has taken the identity of Blue Visor (the leader of the resistance) to hide her identity, and keep fighting after the ninja's deaths.)

WoF AU (this is very little developed. I have a design for her and a few details, but not too much. I'm hoping to get it developed a little more!)

MLP Infection AU (also a new one, and I don't have the infection fully developed yet, so questions would probably help with that! I have stat art for her, but I probably won't post until I can disable third party sharing (as I don't want my stuff shared with AI))

Spiderverse!AU (Galaxy as a spider woman. Don't have this one all that well developed, but she's in the same universe as Spiderverse Herobrine, and he's her mentor. I have designs of both (Gal's from a picrew), but again, I probably won't post the answer until I can disable that sharing setting.)

Evil!Galaxy (as this one suggests, this is Galaxy, but opposite. I wanted to play around with Galaxy's moral values, and flip them on their head. Takes place in an AU of the multiverse au.)
