Nina's dating history is a huge mess. She has some problems she needed to sort through and luckily she had great friends.

For years, Nina identified as pansexual and even hyperromantic as she always went from one crush to the next in intensely small amounts of time until she found Jeff and became super ridiculously obsessed and became a killer for him when she was only 12.

By 15 she did end up dating Jeff on and off though, he was never actually interested in her and had used her for his own selfish gain a lot until she realized that at 19 and finally cut him off, becoming friends again when she was 21.

By 20, she was dating Eyeless Jack who seemed actually interested in her but he knew something was off. They almost got married and had a kid but he figured her out faster than she did.

At 22, through the help of EJ, Jeff, Toby and Clockwork, she finally realized she was never really attracted to men and began to identify as lesbian then, she dated Kate briefly until she realized her obsessions were acting up again and that her and Kate...never talked..turns out Kate couldn't even actually speak.

Then by 25, after working on herself the most for some time and identifying as an aromantic lesbian, she began a more queerplantonic relationship with none other than Zero!

Jeff: "Look, I'm straight but if there was any guy I'd marry, it'd be Jack."

EJ: "That is not helping with the rumors."

Nina: "That kiss you shared on my birthday isn't helping the rumors either."

When Jack and Clockwork became friends, Toby immediately saw it as in to be friends with Jack, who he always thought was cool as fuck and super mysterious and naturally, Toby wanted to uncover this mystery demon for himself but in typical Toby fashion, creeped Jack out a bit in his overzealous attempts at friendship, causing Toby to literally study his every move for weeks instead until Clock ended up just,

"Do you want to hang with us...?"

"YES!"

"Dude, you could've just asked."

"DOUBLE DATE DOUBLE DATE DOUBLE DATE!"

Nina and Clockwork both tend to be absolutely reckless on missions together and have the most fun possible (bonus if Jeff is in the mix), they're soaked with the blood of their victims and the blood of each other from a "playful knife fight" and just complete giggling idiots around each other

Neither of them had friends or girl friends growing up so suddenly having a friend who is just as fucked up as you is all they really needed, a perfect and terrifying duo

Bonus:

Jack always reprimands them while fixing their wounds, obviously he loves Nina and Clocky's a good friend so either of them getting hurt so bad rubs him the wrong way but while he's going on and on, Clock and Nina are looking at each other like those "How bro looks at me when the teacher is talking about [insert important topic]" memes
