He had come by with a graphics card for Nimue. It was one of the latest ones out on the market. He knew she could afford it herself but this was something more special. It was the anniversary of when she officially joined Jude. The group might have disbanded but it was still important to both of them. He thought it might make her smile but what he heard as he entered her apartment made him stop.

Nimue was... crying? He was running before his mind fully processed it. "Nimue!? Hey, what happened?" He asked, fixing her with a serious and stern look. He knew how closed lipped she could be about things that were bothering her. His look told her he wasn't going to accept a "It's nothing" as an answer.

"I didn't know you were into that."

"Well, yes, but it was also my home, and only I was seeing it, so..." The serpent demon replied flustered at the memory of her in something so revealing. You could take the snake out of the victorian era, but you couldn't take the victorian era out of the snake, it seemed.

"Hmmm, I suppose he wouldn't be the type to do unsavory lewd things. Still, I do envy him being able to see you at night on the regular as I once had." He stated, explaining more what he was jealous over. He didn't think Damien was into such things. He had met men like him before, if they married, it was more for show than anything.

"That is something rather common place here in Hell. I'm quite used to it, dearest Nimue." He replied. He had been in hell far longer than she had, after all. He let himself melt into her kiss. It had been so long, but feeling her lips, it was like all doubts that she was his love had vanished. It was a sensation and taste he could never forget.

"Indeed you do, though I'm merely happy to have you back... and of course I will.... "

"Wait, what?"

"Don't tell me you still dress like that at night! Damien doesn't see you like that, does he?" He asked flustered and maybe a little jealous.

   There's a soft squeak that escapes her as her ears flick upwards, almost yelling but relaxing once she hears Adam speak. She didn't even see him coming, how dare he spook her like that! At least that would be what she said if she wasn't already purring as she nuzzles against him.

— A frown crawls its way across Bradley’s face as Nimue points out the signage, not big enough to notice from afar, but large enough to almost make him feel stupid, now that they were close to the building. A dining experience for couples— explicitly stated, right there in the window, underneath the fancy European name of the place that had attracted Bradley to it in the first place.

Earth is still so weird for things like that. Locations that most definitely served delicious, fresh berries, restricted behind whether or not you had a partner to enter with or not. Kokujon would never be so restrictive. Years of being able to travel between, like a divorced kid having two houses (only one is a secret planet you can’t tell anybody about,) and Bradley still struggles with the lack of freedoms he has on Earth. No brunch, because it’s for couples only.

— He’s ready to apologize, just as quick as Nimue points it out. Sorry he dragged her all the way out here, only for them to be restrictive in a way Bradley had entirely unexpected, and now they couldn’t even try it out like he’d begged for her to accompany him to do. Until she propositions they lie.

Lying isn’t foreign to Bradley, by any means. He effectively lives a double life, one foot in a minty-berry-y rollerskate and the other in a bland, mundane shoe. Creating lies here and there so he can launch himself into space and vanish for a few weeks at a time, unquestioned, to visit his home planet and birth family. But those are all carefully curated, weeks if not months in advance, and necessary. 

The idea of lying now— claiming to be dating Nimue, in order to get into a restaurant (that he was, admittedly, very curious about,)— it causes his heartrate to pick up. Thudthudthudthudding against his chest nervously as his pink-green eyes glance from the disclaimer of ‘couples only!’ to Nimue and back again, a few times over.

"Hey, this is just a message to go see accounting!" The masked hero stated reading the note he had received as he entered the building. This wasn't a super secret or important mission at all! This was just about his W-2! Shoulders slouched and frowned on his beak, the dark clad crime fighter's disappointment was obvious. That said, he DID still make his way there, nearly bumping into a young woman on the way. "Wow! Easy there, hehe. You ok?" He said as he avoided the collision but was quick to offer her assistance.

" I uh .. actually didn't think it'd stop the nightmares. I just thought maybe if I woke up abruptly that I'd at least see someone there with me for once .. " 

   Her ears flatten a bit as a soft sniffle escapes her, but she quickly moves her hand to brush away incoming tears on her sleeves. Focusing more on his other statement, she lets out a sigh. 

" I've been dead for a year and a half, my heats may have come and gone and I didn't realize it. Not really sure. Haven't really .. been in that kind of mood since I've been down here, at least not that I can remember. Either way, I don't really know what to expect but I guess when it happens it happens. "

"Explains a few things. Why ya slept with me in bed. We both weren't havin' nightmares that night." He comments. He wasn't going to ask her about the nightmare. It wasn't any of his business what so ever. He hums once more before he tilts his head, thinking to himself, "It should actually be happening right now. But uh...you were a mortal so probably either this month or next month perhaps? And who knows, maybe you won't get it all."

He shrugs slightly, "It's best to keep cautious but not freak out over it. It won't do ya any good if ya do."

"Nimue!" Darkwarrior cried out as he collapsed into his arms. "Hold on, I'll get you back to the hideout. Just stay with me!" He said, retreating from the battle. He couldn't lose her, too. Gosalyn, Morg, Launchpad... he had lost so many precious people already. He already had his drones out pursuing the fiend that had caused that gas explosion in the first place. He needed to make sure Nimue was OK first, though.

"Oh, I'm kind of the same way so I just buy whatever I can at the time and go from there. Some games I really do wish I didn't play though... whether it's boring or just bad gameplay, it depends."

   She brings a hand up to tap her index finger against her cheek, trying to think of any off the top of her head that she'd recommend, but then again her own opinions are heavily biased considering she prefers to play RPGs.

   As Ryuji responds again, she looks back up at him with a frown. She got looking out for yourself, but there's a point where it's too much...

"Being closed off is one thing since I understand that, I can be a bit closed off in general sometimes, but being mean takes more energy than being nice. It's exhausting and all you're doing is making things worse for yourself and others. But some people don't seem to realize it."

   She's a bit bothered by the fact he doesn't seem to hear much positive though, especially when he genuinely seems like a good person, that's another reason why she doesn't like the rumors but there's not much she can do there..

"Well, you certainly seem approachable to me... If other people can't see that then it's a loss for them."

"Man, I'd sure like to read through 'em if you don't mind - I usually have a hard time making up my mind on games, so I bet reading your blog would help,"

He was usually indecisive when it came to new video games, often going online to see what the consensus on it was - and while his opinion wasn't wholly shaped by the opinions of others, it did help to know what people were saying about it.

Plus, if she covered a wide variety of games on her blog maybe that would give him the chance to branch out beyond his usual genres, too - after all, few things got him more hyped than reading someone else talking about a game or better yet, watching it!

He nods his head vigorously at her at her remarks about just how cruel the world seemed - he couldn't agree with her more on that - he didn't know why people felt the need to be cruel to others, it just seemed that kindness was becoming a rarity these days.

"I don't get either and all it really does is create a cycle where people feel like they can treat others like crap, 'cause someone treated them like crap - people get closed off and they only look out for themselves,"

Not that there was anything inherently wrong in looking out for yourself but in his experience, it so often seemed to come at the expense of others these days.

"A bit, but that's okay, I don't mind so much..." He shyly tugs at her hair, cheeks flushing in genuine gratitude at her words. "I'm glad you think that - I try my best to just be an approachable guy, you know? I definitely think you're cool - and I bet I'll think that even more once I check out your blog,"

   She wasn't really sure if he'd take the invitation to go for a walk, let alone in the woods, but it was certainly a pleasant surprise when he did. For all the grief she gives this town for being as shit as it is, one thing she'll give it is that the woods were often peaceful, and mixed with Autumn being here and the leaves starting to turn and fall, it was even better. 

   While she wasn't sure about his coffee preference, she opted to get hot chocolate instead, handing him the cup once he arrived. 

" Figured I'd bring you one too. Good weather for it. Hot chocolate I mean. Would've brought you some pumpkin spice but I didn't really know if you liked that or not. "

   There's still some things she has to learn about Tweek, but it's one step at a time of course. It probably wouldn't have been so much if she had tried to befriend him while they were still in school.

" Sorry for suddenly asking you to join me by the way, Fall's my favorite time of the year, never really figured out why, but the leaves are rather pretty to look at. "

   There's a shrug, she occasionally swears herself, but she doesn't understand those who frequently use them. It's the killing that gets her, but she's not really in charge of Heaven so it's not her call to make in the end. There's a blink at his question though as she tilts her head. So that's why that singular building look so bright.

" So that's what that is .. huh. As for the marriage thing, it wouldn't be so bad if maybe he paid a little attention, or sex might be involved- ." 

   She mumbled that last part, but either way she clears her throat as if she didn't just say that. 

" Uh. You didn't hear that last part. It was a joke. Yeah. Totally a joke. "

“Oh they do get more fun out of it, there’s a bunch of freaks up there too! And sweet satan the mouths on those angels… I think they swear more than I do” bj is just tired of seeing this every year. He’s hoping a stop of it comes soon or something that will actually benefit this. Killing is meant to be on occasion not what heaven is doing.

“The heaven embassy in the middle of pentagram city? Have you never seen it?” Well this is also a girl who’s rarely allowed out. So he wouldn’t guess she has.

“Yeah sounds like a terrible marriage to me. But trust me babe if I thought you were boring we wouldn’t be out right now” he says poking her forehead.
