My cattails character since I think they’re pretty neat. They follow the backstory of your cat in the first game but they straight up died before coco found them, they’re based on the ghost coat color from the first game as well

But yea. Funky ghost cat that no one really knows is a ghost except coco, the guardian, and wildwood champion and they’re now the warden of the wildwood colony

•• Cattails Guide: My Character Pronoun Headcanons •• ••

As no NPC character has set genders, I decided to post my personal list of character pronouns here, these will be the information I go with in all of my stories, unless specified..

Now, I have changed the genders before, once- I originally said Robin was a male, even romancing them with a female character, before figuring out the "most calicos are female" fact, which I honestly didn't know until a few years ago.. And switched Robin over to a female in a later save, now enough about that- let's get into it!

I just realized that in games where my character can get married, I always end up going for the npc that's different from everybody else around them

in Cattails my go-to npc is Nil, a Marsh Colony cat with horns and red eyes who doesn't like it when birds are killed (which also ended up giving me the habit of not catching birds unless I need to for the Forest Guardian)

in Stardew my favorite marriable npc is Sebastian, a guy with social anxiety who's a programmer in a town of social people who have more 'traditional' jobs like farming, fishing, and mining

ok so back when i obsessively played the original cattails when I was 11 i think?? I had this entire plot in my mind that i spent around 2 ingame years just setting up. The premise was that my character and Nil were friends but Nil was having a forbidden relationship with Missy from the forest colony?? I don't think I had any reason for the ship other than that I wanted one of the kits to look like Blackstar from warrior cats ;-; so neither of them could take the kits so my character and Krampy would have pretended to find them abandoned.

Anyways during all of this while getting her reputation up with all the colonies she started to make friends with everyone in the Mountain Domain and found that she liked it better there than in the Mystic Colony. So My character, Krampy, and the 4 kits booked it and joined the Mountain Domain. And then I had this plot where every 5 years in game the Mountain Domain would take over every territory tile on the map, then withdraw from the southern half of the map and let the Forest and Mystic colonies fight it out??? What was happening in my brain

Game recommendations, you say? I have some... *stares at steam wishlist* Both that I own and also want like crazy. lol Terra Nil is a nice, chill game (basically a city builder but in reverse as you restore nature in a devastated world), Cattails (you play as a cat, lol, I have not played it yet but it is overall received well), Cult of the Lamb (fucked up little world with a cute aesthetic, what's not to love?), and as of today, FATE from WildTangent games... a nostalgia trip with that one. XD

Terra Nil is on my wishlist! I've played Cattails and Cult of the Lamb, love them both! Cult of the Lamb is seriously so good, and the dev team seems like such fun! Added FATE to my list, never heard of it, but it looks like something I'd love!
