I've noticed that. And it makes me sad because nrs actually did something decent with nightwolf. (Granted i feel it was taken back a bit and kinda half assed but they legit were gonna get sued if they didn't change nightwolf up a bit and actually respect native americans a bit more in their games. So yeah. Honestly they probably should have gotten sued imho but eh. ) but i just feel sad that nightwolf doesn't get the proper love he deserves. Solo art,x readers,and even just a proper hcs posts like the other characters. 😔. Like he's always forgotten...again....unless it's shipping him with another character on the roster. It sucks. Nightwolf x Menstruating Reader

~~~~~~~~~~~~ Naturally, Nightwolf wakes up a very decent time in the morning. No alarm is required.

Remembering that he took you out to camp with him in the beautiful forest, he turned his head to you.

You were awake, too! The odd thing is you don't usually wake up early as him.

"Good morning, Y/n." He smiles a little at you.

"Morning." You awkwardly utter.

An eyebrow raised. You were looking weirdly at him and at that you don't seem that comfortable.

"Did you sleep well?" The Matokan man checked. You had slight bags under your eyes, and at that, you were sitting up stiffly with your arms clutching against your stomach.

"Erm, not really. No." You were about ready to go home, but you didn't want to seem rude. It would make you feel bad.

"Is everything alright? You're tensed."

You looked away, not from total embarrassment, but it's just a really unexpected time. "I'm on my period. It's only been three weeks, however."

Nightwolf carried no expressive look. Not even surprise. Only understanding. "Okay. Did you pack any supplies?"

"I always do carry something in case, but I didn't bring any pain relievers." You informed before holding silent.

"...I am in so much pain. I can't even go back to sleep."

He sees it in your face. The man can really only sympathize.

Thinking for a bit, the strong warrior has an idea how to help you out a little. Being a man of nature, he knew some plants to relieve your sort of pain.

"Have you eaten anything?" Nightwolf asks.

"Not yet. I don't feel all that hungry." You shrugged. You watched him grab a bag and rummage through it, probably the one where the snacks were.

His face lightens up as he finds it, and presents it to you. "Granola bar? It's the one with chocolate chips." It's so sweet hearing his tone having a hint of cheerfulness to it.

Regardless, that man knew chocolate would tempt you no matter if you felt like your organs were being stabbed internally or not.

You accepted the ration with a quiet thanks to the gorgeous man. Opening the wrapper and eating slowly as he got ready to head out for some reason, you don't quite know yet.

"I'll be back in a short time. I'm going to get you something for your pain." He takes your hands in his.

It's an unsaid promise. All your faith is in him.

"Alright, dear. Be careful." He always is careful, but you wished him a safe brief journey anyway.

Nightwolf shortly ventures the green surroundings in search of a certain plant pictured in his mind.

Some small, bunched white flowers with a yellow center. Not daisies, but chamomile.

If Nightwolf can find those, he can take it back to the tent and mash them up to brew his own tea for you.

It's not a long quest as they're common in this forest, fortunately untouched by the harmful human activities.

You recognize his footsteps anywhere as he comes back from his quest. Shortly as he promised. You set down your unfinished breakfast to watch his shadow lazily as he starts another bonfire.

Nightwolf grabs his mortar and pestle to crush up the found herbs before dropping them in the pot filled with water. He places it carefully over the fire. Now, all that is left is to wait for it to start boiling.

A few minutes went by when you decided you want to go outside the tent and sit next to him. Taking a deep breath, you pushed yourself out your sleeping bag and wobbled out to sit beside him. Pained grunts were let out as you pushed yourself to move.

"What are you making?" You eyed the boiling pot of water and what seemed like crushed flower bits inside. You lay up against him as you both watched the bubbles boil.

"Chamomile tea. This is how we make them usually instead of what's at the house."

"Ohhh," You nodded in understanding. Seemed a whole lot traditional than those k cups you favored. (I use those who tryna fight)

Grey Cloud gets a small jar ready. "This is raw honey." He states. "Just something to sweeten up your tea."

The pot boiled long enough. Nightwolf gets a small bowl that you can just sip out of and tilts the pot carefully so that some of the tea pours in it.

Then he adds the sticky sweetener and stirs a bit before finally handing it to you.

You take it with both hands. After waiting for it to cool some, you took the first sip. It's not what you're used to but it's pretty good. Even better because of who made it. You took more sips from it.

Loving brown eyes watched you enjoy the warm cure. Nightwolf smiles without realizing he was staring at you dreamily. Not until you looked at him.

"Thank you so much. I feel a little better." You tell him. The cramps didn't fully go away, but at least they were becoming more bearable.

"Anything for you." Nightwolf replies.

Setting the bowl down, you cuddle up against him again. A strong arm holds you close as he accepts your physical affection.

You could get used to spending time outdoors with this man when you're not your best.

"Ohh, Grey, it's perfect! It doesn't need one of those stupid diamonds." You clung the bracelet against your chest, feeling your heart get heavy.

"I'm glad you like it. I decided to put an eagle feather there since, in my culture, eagles symbolize love, as well as other things." Nightwolf explains to you.

"It's okay, my love." Nightwolf rubbed your back, resting his chin on the top of your head.

You take a deep breath before remembering your gift for him.
