I’m sure they’re somewhere, though. Unless I managed to leave them with my ex somehow when we moved apart and he’s gotten rid of pretty much all of his physical CDs. Teaches me to keep better track of my belongings, I guess.

Today, NIGHTWISH unveil a breathtaking live video for the song 'Sleeping Sun' taken from their upcoming 'End Of An Era' re-issue. Watch the video clip, here:

In 2004, I moved to Vermont. I started writing fanfic. It was a pretty good year in a lot of ways, but not a year I was paying any particular attention to what was happening in music. I was living with people who listened to a lot of Great Big Sea, and we would all sing along loudly in the car.

Only Just Beginning - Jason Webley

A really excellent album from Jason, with some of my very favourite songs by him. This album is meant to be a mirror of his first album, Viaje, with song titles reflecting the songs from that album, in reverse order ("Prelude"/"Coda", "Without"/"With", "Halloween"/"Mayday", etc.).

Something Beautiful - Great Big Sea

This album came out the same year that I discovered GBS. It is stronger than their previous album, Sea of No Cares, and I would argue that it was their last really strong album. They continued to be good after this, but not great.

Dear Heather - Leonard Cohen

What? There's a Cohen album on my list and it's not the #1 for the year? This is the first album Cohen released after I became a fan. I was super excited about it, after how good Ten New Songs was. And ... I found it underwhelming and disappointing at first. There's a lot of female vocals and spoken word, rather than Cohen singing. It took a while for the album to grow on me. It definitely has. There are several tracks I am now very fond of. But it's not his best work.

Leonard Cohen: I'm Your Man - Various Artists

The third (and last) Cohen tribute album to appear on one of my lists. This one is a live album of a concert organized by the Wainwright family. Rufus Wainwright is a huge Cohen fan, and is best friends with Cohen's daughter, Lorca. They even have a child together. She's only 6 now, but I'm waiting for her to get a recording contract. Music is in her DNA.

10: Do you sleep on your back, side, or stomach?                 On my side. I can’t sleep otherwise x_x I usually turn around like three times too because apparently my body needs excersise before I go into stasis for hours :,D

23: what's your favorite thing to do on lazy days where you have 0 obligations? Days off means I will watch YouTube, draw a lot and hopefully write. I doN#t really have lazy days, I want to be productive.

30: think of it: have you ever been  truly scared?                 Depends on the definition of truly scared. In middle school bullying got really bad and I hated every minute in school. I think the worst situation was when I was vice-classpresident or whatever and I had to make a mini-speech in front of the student assembly. I don’t remember what I did. My mind went completely blank and I think I repeated what someone else said. I think I also stumbled when I went down the stairs I was shaking so bad. My memory fully sets in after I leave school that day, so no idea. Oh and I’m terrified of spiders ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 

75: tell us about your pets! I curently own a 14 week old Australian Shepherd pup named Mikah

79: what's one of the cutest things someone has ever done for you?                 Ohhh that’s difficult. I always get ridiculously flattered when somebody draws shit for me. And my best friend recently gave me a big ass present for my birthday that I didn’t expect at all (I knew I was getting a gift card for the tattoo studio I had an appointment at but it was a lo of money holy shit). But generally, surprise presents. It doesn’t have to be anything big, it can be a freaking 2-minute doodle and I’ll be like Jkfkhsakjdhghbscbhgcidvhvs nooo I don’t deserve you. Which is true.

87: what are some movies you think everyone should watch at least once in their lives?                I absolutely love the MCU. Like, love. But I know it’s more a genre thing (still, watch all of it. especiall Captain America 2, Guardians of the Galaxy and Doctor Strange. Watch it.) I’m actually not much in on Disney although I recognize that some movies are just good (Lion King etc). I love the original Peter Pan and the Sword in the Stone. I also think some anime movies like Princess Mononoke are a must-see.

99: list some songs that resonate to your soul whenever you hear them.             What I feel in my soul really depends on my mood (and many songs are liked to a specific fandom or character for me because I made up a link). In general, I like classic rock and metal. Currently I am listening to the old Nightwish albums on repeat. Dead Boy’s Poem, Kuolema tekee Taiteilijan, Lappi and Dead to the World give me goosebumps every time. Oh and Sleeping Sun, both the Tarja version as well as Floor’s. I just listened to Floor’s version a few days ago and I just died at how beautiful it is.
