Unbelievable. This was a really special evening to be a part of. I relished performing tracks from Mynd again with Faith Brackenbury, this time live @hayfestival for @bbcradio3 Night Tracks event & meeting the loveliest people from Night Tracks @saramohrpietsch + @doverandoverandoverandover .

The performance was recorded live and will be broadcast on tomorrow night (Wednesday) and Thursday episodes of Night Tracks (BBCR3 10pm) alongside a fabulous interview with #jeanettewinterson .

It was all over too quickly so I’m thrilled it’ll be relived again on #nighttracks - tune in tomorrow + Thurs.

#nighttrack #thankyou #instagram Chino Moreno is a busy musician and he’s just added another band to his ever-expanding résumé, which already included Deftones, Palms, Crosses and Team Sleep. Saudade are the latest project from Moreno, rounded out by members of Bad Brains and Cro-Mags. The first taste of new music comes from the song “Saudade,” heard above. The track is highly atmospheric and quite moving, exploring an array of emotions in a gradual buildup that boils to a head nearing the end, making for a climactic close. The music is largely representative of the band’s name, which is an intense feeling deep emotional state of nostalgic or profound melancholic longing for an absent something or someone that one loves. Moreover, it often carries a repressed knowledge that the object of longing might never return. It is longing, but knowing it cannot be. It once described as the love that remains.
