For the tenth time, you check your phone.
12:15am, is not that late.
Sleep is determined to elude you, the plastic covers over the thin mattress scratch the skin on your back and the distant beeps are about to make you lose what little sanity you have left. There´s no TV to not disturb the rest of the patients so that isn´t an option either.
“This is stupid”
Kicking off the covers, you stuffed your feet into your Crocs and grabbed your hoodie from the corner of the bed, almost knocking over the IV pole and pausing for a few seconds to mutter a curse.
This is so stupid
You spent a day and a half in observation, “perks” of being admitted on a weekend. Yes, you fainted at work, no, it's no big deal, you just burned yourself out as usual, but combined with the lack of sleep and the surprise arrival of your period, your brain decided that it had enough of your shit and just turned off the lights in the middle of your office.
Is this a cry for help from your body? Maybe, you've decided that's a conversation for another time, right now you're sick of this damn hospital.
You leave your room as casually as possible. The nurse at the end of the corridor hasn't seen you, or has simply decided to ignore you.
Right now there is only one place in your mind: the open space with a view of greenery in the middle of the visitors' area.
However, as soon as you walk down the stairs to the second wing of the hospitalization area, something catches your attention.
Is that music?
The area seems deserted, so a room with a soft glow coming from the gap between double doors and the big NO VISITORS sign stands out.
Curiosity won and you changed course to take a peek. There was a man in bed. One of his legs was propped up by some sort of medical pillow, and bandages covered some parts of his body. There was a laptop on the overbed table, and there seemed to be a film playing.
You were so engrossed in trying to figure him out that you almost jumped out of your skin when his voice reached you.
"You're not staff"
His voice is a deep baritone. He sounds relaxed and not at all scared of your presence. His eyes are sharp even in the dim light and the room feels small for him.
"Ah shit, I'm sorry!" You try to talk in a low voice, poking your head through the door. "No no, I'm from the third wing, I'm just stretching my legs, sorry to bother you"
Pausing whatever he is seeing in the laptop he assessed at you for a moment.
"Come closer"
Despite being in such a vulnerable position, his voice is commanding and it feels that the only reason he is asking you to come is because he can't do it himself in his state.
An accent colours his words. British?
You entered the room with measured steps, the smell of alcohol and cleaning products is particulary strong. Stopping at the end of his bed you can get a better look at him: huge, menacing, like a wounded lion, no matter how battered it still send chills down your spine. One of his arms is in a sling, there´s some cuts and abrasions in almost every part of his body and his good arm, covered in tattoos, is wrapped with the IV and the blood pressure cuff. But his leg is the worst. The wound is extensive, the skin is angry red and swollen at the edges.
He notices your staring immediately.
"It's burned. Needs to be kept raw for it to heal and isolated to avoid infection"
His tone sounds bored and unimpressed while he shifts on his pillows, trying to get some comfort in his seated position.
"I'm sorry, it's just that I heard your laptop... I thought we couldn't keep stuff like that here"
There´s a glint of amusement in his eyes.
"They don't like to confine me with other patients, I make them nervous, so they let me have some privileges"
“How…?”
He suddenly extended his good arm to loudly drag closer a chair, interrupting your question and making you flinch at the sound.
"You can stay if you keep silent"
He pressed play on his laptop, repositioned himself in bed and his eyes glued to the screen again, as if you weren't there at all.
The hairs in the back of your neck stands up in alert, but something in his voice tells you that comply with him will always be the best option, so you moved closer to him and sat down next to his bed, tucking your legs.
The first minutes passed with you stiff in the chair, but time went on sliding in a comfortable silence, actually enjoying some of the movie.
By the time you started to doze off it was almost 2am, his cold fingers on your neck what woke you up, making you gasp softly.
He laughs hoarsely, definitely enjoying every time he can get a scare out of you “Movie´s over birdie, go to your room”
You blink the sleep off, getting up abruptly and remembering that you willingly secluded yourself with a stranger in the middle of the night just because you were bored.
“Yes, you must be tired, I´ll go” You grab the chair to returned it to its previous position when his hand closes tightly around your wrist.
“Ask for Riley”
“What?”
“From now on, at visiting hours ask for Riley, they´ll bring you to me”
He doesn't let go, he waits for your answer and your mouth dries up with fear, you don't know this man, he's scary, hell, you'll be fired soon. But once again something urges you to say yes.
“I though you didn´t want visitors”
“I changed my mind”

It was the night before the horse show, and everything was going wrong. Everything was, perhaps, an exaggeration, but Imogen's glittery show blouse had gained a truly miraculous tear just after she'd blanketed Flora for the night, and they had another event in the morning for the champion ribbon.
A fit of desperation revealed one single tailor open at 10 p.m. on a Saturday. Why the hell a tailor was open that late was none of Imogen's business, but she thanked whichever deity was listening all the same. The website, which looked like it hadn't been updated in the past ten years, said the business did on-site repairs, and that was good enough for her.
That was how she found herself sitting in the parking lot of a decently sketchy strip mall under a weather-worn awning that read Fate's Stitchers. The flickering neon OPEN sign bathed her dashboard in blues and reds. The chime above the door clattered when she entered. Imogen squinted at the noise. Wood, maybe? Or plastic pipe? The tubes had been fashioned to look like finger bones. The shop was dark, lit by faux flickering candles on the counter and three small lamps. Clothing racks with seemingly handmade pieces were scattered about the room.
"Hello?"
An accented voice called from the back, "I'll be right with you!" Imogen caught the sound of a chair being moved, a scattering of plinks, and a muted curse. A woman emerged, fumbling, from the back room. She clearly had not been expecting anyone. Her long, dark hair was pulled into a floppy bun held in place by a claw clip. She wore a faded university sweatshirt and a long skirt that brushed the tops of her fuzzy red slippers. She was maybe a few years younger than Imogen, but the dim lighting of the shop made it difficult to tell. "What can I do for you?"
"Uh, hi," Imogen said dumbly. "Are you... open? The door was unlocked, so I thought–"
"We are," the woman confirmed, brushing a loose strand of hair from her face. "I just prefer the lights off this late." From her tone, she'd gotten this question before.
"Isn't that bad for your eyesight?"
The woman adjusted a pair of large, square glasses to rest more fully on the bridge of her nose. "I believe that ship has sailed, as they say."
Imogen blinked. "Your website said you did last-minute mending?"
The woman hummed. "We do, though I will say the outcome depends on the case." She zeroed in on the blouse in Imogen's arms and gestured for Imogen to hand it over. Imogen watched as she inspected the garment, thumbing over the tear. She clicked her tongue. "Should be an easy fix." She turned and began walking toward the back room. "Are you coming?"
Imogen looked around at the empty couches, shrugged to no one in particular, and followed the woman behind the sheer curtains separating the shop from the work area. While the shop was relatively tidy, the backroom was an organized mess of sewing supplies. Racks of thread stretched floor to ceiling, with a stepladder nearby to reach the tallest spools. Buttons littered the floor, presumably what the curse Imogen heard was about. Bolts of fabric in every style, color, and texture were stacked up one wall. Music played softly from a speaker on the cutting table. Something slow and folksy that sounded vaguely familiar.
The woman took a seat on a stool and nodded for Imogen to take the one opposite. She drew her legs up under her until she was perched on the balls of her feet.
"So," Imogen said, unsure where to look, "d'you... get a lot of customers this late?"
"Mm," the woman mumbled, snatching a needle from her stash, "you'd be surprised at the things people need fixed on a whim. Wedding dress alterations that are put off until the last minute, that sort of thing." She winked, her eye magnified by her glasses, making it look almost doll-like. She chose her thread color and slid it through the needle’s eye with practiced ease. "There's always a story. The groom wants to add embroidery to his tie to honor his father," she ticked on her fingers, speech mumbled as she held the needle between her teeth, and adjusted Imogen's shirt. "Grandmother's shawl was stained before the holiday brunch, a dog made a chew toy out of a beloved stuffed animal, and the child won't stop caterwauling. Those are always my favorite to fix."
She drew the fabric of the shirt up close to ensure she poked the needle through the correct spot. "So, tell me, then, what's your story?"
Imogen shifted. "I'm in town for the rodeo. Shirt ripped during my event this afternoon, and it's my only one."
The woman's eyes sparkled. "A rodeo? How adventurous! I can't say I've ever been to one."
"Most people haven't."
"And you ride horses, then?"
"Yeah. Western pleasure."
The woman scrunched up her nose, causing her glasses to slip. "Is that... a breed?"
Imogen laughed. "Sorta. It's a riding style, though some breeds are more predisposed than others."
"And you have your own horse?"
"Flora. She's an Appaloosa."
"Oh," the woman said dreamily, "she sounds marvelous."
"She is," Imogen agreed, "and a sweetheart outside the ring too." She cleared her throat. "What about you? What's your story?" She gestured around them at the projects scattered on various work tables. "How'd you get into... seamstressing?"
The woman smiled, and her face softened. "As a girl, I was always making things. Dolls and the like. I loved to fix things, to leave them a little more beautiful than I found them. I was a very lonely child." Her lips twisted into a grimace of faint regret, but it slipped away just as quickly. "I started to make my own clothing. I would mend things for our neighbors in exchange for pocket money to buy thread and fabric. After my parents passed, I sold our farm and signed a lease for this place." Her fingers paused their stitching as she surveyed the room. "It's not much, I admit, but it's mine."
"The clothes out front. Are they yours?"
The woman nodded enthusiastically. "Patterns and all," she said proudly.
"Amazin'."
The woman averted her gaze and resumed her quick stitches. "That's very kind of you."
"I mean it. Hell, I can't even sew up my own shirt, much less design a whole new one."
Another smile cracked the woman's face, and she tied off the thread. "It's not terribly difficult. They sell sewing kits these days, you know. Maybe you could keep one in one of those Western saddlebags of yours."
Imogen didn't have the heart to tell her she didn't really have saddlebags. At least, not the way she was probably picturing. "You're gonna put yourself outta business if you keep givin' advice like that."
"Maybe." She stood, and when she stretched, her back made the same noise as the chime over the door. "Come on, then, we shouldn't keep Flora waiting."
Imogen followed her back to the front of the store. Headlights drove past, briefly casting the shop in a shadowy glow. "How much do I owe you?"
The woman waved. "Nothing. It was an easy fix."
Imogen teased again, "You're gonna put yourself outta business."
"I liked your story," the woman said simply. Imogen opened her mouth to protest, but the look on her face made her reconsider.
"Thank you," Imogen said earnestly instead. "Would've been mighty embarrassing to ride out tomorrow with a big ol' hole in my shirt."
"Disastrous, I'm sure."
Imogen shuffled her feet before summoning her courage to ask: "I'm sorry, I don't think I caught your name earlier."
"Laudna," Laudna said in that melodic way of hers.
"Imogen."
"Imogen," Laudna repeated. "It was very nice to meet you, Imogen."
"Likewise."
"I hope you'll visit again soon."
"If I keep puttin' holes in my clothes, you're sure to see me."
"Well," Laudna drawled, "in that case, I believe sewing kits are sold out everywhere. A shame, really."
"Truly." The corner of Imogen's mouth curved up.
"Best of luck tomorrow. Please give your horse a pat from me."
"I will. And thank you again."
"A pleasure."
As the chime clattered overhead and the door closed behind her, Imogen ran her fingers over Laudna's handiwork. She couldn't help but grin.

❝ BLOOD RED ❞
TUESDAY — APRIL 11 — 4:19AM
SEVEN HAD NEVER DREAMED BEFORE.
His hands shook in his sleep, his small fingers subconsciously curling around the hilt of the dagger he kept on the edge of his mattress.
It was cold in his apartment, and he was alone. Despite the nosediving temperature (thanks to his bedroom window being left open through the night), sweat clung to his skin and dampened his hair, sticking the dark locks to his forehead. His breathing was shallow, ragged, and every now and then, soft murmurs or whimpers escaped him.
Of course, when he woke, he would never admit any of that to a single human being. The thirteen-year-old also wouldn’t admit to throwing the dagger on his abrupt awakening, stabbing a clean, thin hole into the light gray drywall at a hight that would’ve hit any man directly in the heart had there been one intruding on him. And he certainly wouldn’t admit that, upon his sudden awakening, he wished, for a moment, that he didn’t live alone in an apartment so big, and so empty.
He didn’t remember making the phone call. But the time in his call history indicated that it had only taken them two minutes to get to him. It usually took four. Maybe they’d come quicker because he was crying softly on the other end of the line.
And Seven never cried.
Exactly five minutes and seventeen seconds later, he was kneeling on a cool hardwood floor, his eyes downcast, staring at the woodgrain there with a shadowy figure circling him. The room he was in was a library, lined with dark wood shelves filled with books and antiques. The room had a single wooden desk in the center, massive enough to seat twelve people if you put them on either side. The only source of light in the large room was a small lamp sitting on the desk, but its light hardly reached the floor he was on. The door had been closed — he was cut off from anything and everything on the other side.
“Recount it to me again,” She demanded. Her voice was velvety and soft, but authoritative, dangerous, like a beautiful but deadly sword hung on a wall for decoration. It was overlaid with a thick accent. South African, if his memory served him right.
Seven didn’t lift his eyes when her shoes went by — black heeled boots; leather.
“We were… in the sky. In the clouds, on a floating platform. It was nighttime, and… storming, with thunder. I couldn’t see anything unless it was really close to me,” He explained softly, his voice hardly above a whisper. “Over the edge of the platform was the same — cloudy and dark. Whatever was under us, we couldn’t see it.”
The heels kept circling him, a shrill click, click, click that bounced around the room. There was no one else in the library, but her presence alone felt akin to that of a thousand armed guards, so nobody else really needed to be there to keep Seven from moving.
“And?” She pressed.
“And,” Seven swallowed quietly. “We were fighting something neither of us could see. I’m not sure how to explain it. Like… a wind, but… dark. We were both injured.”
She hummed. “How injured?”
“Very. I don’t think he was close to dying, but... I was,”
The heels came past his head again. “And then?”
“And then, we… we were shoved off. Off of the platform, by the thing we couldn’t see, and we started falling, through the storm. Then I woke up,”
A moment of quiet passed, and the heels came around him again.
“The other boy. What did he look like?”
“I…” Seven hesitated, replaying the vivid image of the boy’s fearful expression as they fell off of the platform — with these green eyes that pierced into his soul. He was pretty sure he knew every detail of the boy’s face, despite only seeing it clearly one time in the entire dream. “I don’t know.”
“You don’t know?” She asked, a disapproving edge lacing into her words, her tone tipping slightly from inquisitive to interrogative. Some of the layers of her voice slipped away, leaving something forceful, darker.
“It was foggy, and I was dying,” He argued, bringing a hand up to fiddle with the sleeve of his pajama shirt. “I didn’t get a good look at his face.”
“Don’t get defensive, Seven,”
He inhaled slowly, but didn’t speak again. He pinched his sleeve between his fingers, hard, trying to feel the weave of the fabric against his skin.
She circled behind him, and he felt her fingers brush gently across his shoulder blades in a way that made him shiver in disgust. “You’re unsettled. I never see you like this. What is it?”
Seven blinked twice, swallowing thick again. “It was an unsettling dream.”
“But that isn’t why you’re so tense,” She spoke not even a millisecond after he had. She came around to the front of him, and touched the hair on the top of his head. “Rise. And cease lying to my face.”
Seven didn’t dare disobey. He pushed himself off of the floor and stood, staring straight ahead, past her. She had a hood on — shadowing her face so it looked like nothing more than a black abyss in the dark room. He couldn’t make out a single feature beneath it.
“You should be excited. The dreams have started, and that means we’re finally going to find your Mūtāre Mundos,” Her voice came like she was smiling, faintly under the blackness. “Your true power is about to be unlocked, yet you stand here in trepidation before me. Tell me why, Seven.”
Seven bit his lip, keeping his eyes trained on the far wall. Several explanations built in his throat, but the words kept dying, kept turning to ashes on his tongue.
“I don’t know,” He finally whispered.
“You do know,” She hissed, suddenly very close to him. “I thought I told you to stop lying.”
Seven said nothing, but his eyes fell down to the hardwood.
“Tell me, Seven,” She started, turning away from him and walking over to some of the shelves. “What is my favorite color?”
Seven breathed in and out, his eyes trailing back up, watching as she began to stroke what looked like a decorative dagger on one of the shelves. She had on a cloak. Black, and long, swallowing her entire being in shadow.
Seven looked back down at the hardwood, pinching the hem of his shirt with both hands. “Red.”
She turned around again, her shadowy, black face still unseen by the thirteen-year-old. “What shade of red?”
Seven inhaled sharply, blinking once as the faintest of burns tried to surface behind his eyes. “…Blood red.”
She spun. One swift, smooth movement, and the antique dagger she had been examining flew but a millimeter past Seven’s head in a perfect spiral, landing in the wall behind him with a thunk just like his had in his apartment. The dagger had been spinning so close to him that the blade had nicked his left cheek on purpose — a small, searing pain, and then warmth bloomed there. And it was enough to let him know she was warning him.
“Lying to me now only claws your previous mistruths to the surface,” She said, sounding sort of… amused, the black mass of cloak coming closer to him until she was right by his side, unseen eyes staring at the side of his head. “Either that, or you’re standing here, worried for a dead man.”
Seven merely blinked, balling his hands into fists, fighting the wetness that tried to collect at his eyelids.
“You did not kill Beniah Ivanov three weeks ago when I sent you out to do just that,” She spoke as though it were a simple fact. “His little entourage didn’t go into hiding because of his death. They went into hiding because you warned them.”
Seven said nothing. Only stared.
Suddenly, a fist came up and struck him hard in the side of the head, so forcefully he fell. A hand roughly grabbed his shirt before he hit the floor and jerked him back up.
He, now face to face with the black hood, could only see the whites of her eyes and teeth in the dark. The shine of her lip gloss.
“No matter. You’ve only made my job easier by disobeying me,” She sighed. “When your Mūtāre Mundos gets here, Beniah Ivanov’s group of refugees will no doubt intercept him. They’ll do our job for us.”
She suddenly released his shirt, and Seven fell back a few steps, his left shoulder thumping painfully into one of the bookshelves against the wall.
“And then we’ll find them, and we’ll kill them all. And you’ll watch your poor big brother plead for his life as a punishment for your disobedience,” She finalized. She moved for the large desk and opened a drawer, sliding her hand into it.
“No,” Seven begged, kneeling again, with both knees on the hardwood. “Please. Don’t-”
BANG!
Seven felt a prick on his arm. He looked up, and she was aiming a gun at him.
He looked down at his arm, and a small syringe sat against his pajama sleeve, the needle buried deep in his skin.
“No,” He breathed.
The black cloak took a few steps toward him, kneeling down as his vision began to blur and distort at the edges.
“Goodnight, Seven,”
The world teetered and spun, and he felt himself thump onto the hardwood.
He woke up tucked into his bed.
And he cried.

Posting the fic seperate as well!
Heavily inspired by @/feathered-moths-ablaze 's post about Spooker and his feelings about P.I.E. :3
Cw!!/ Alcohol / Suicide mention / Implications of a fight.
Toast groaned, rubbing at his eyes with his thumb and forefinger. The past 3 months had been rough, Ghost had left for 'retirement' as he had called it and soon ran off, not willing to deal with the screaming match he started that night. Toast pulled his hand away, blinking his eyes open to the seemingly blinding light of the sun, eyes trailing around to find Spooker peering over him with that same, damn near, terrified look in his eyes. Toast reached up with a hand and rubbed it across Spookers face to get him back up. "Bloody hell, Spooks, I'm fine." He muttered, british accent much thicker at the rate of his exhaustion, probably still a bit drunk from the night before. Spooker scrunched up his face, taking a step back. "Okay, okay! I just... wanted to make sure you're breathing." Spooker looked over at his boss worriedly, watching him sit up at an attempt to comb his hair back into place. "I wanted to make sure you didn't do anything stupid.. or vomit in your sleep.." Toast rolled his eyes, red, and his eyebags were puffed from what Spooker assumed was crying. "With all of my greatest respect, plonker, I'm not going to kill myself just because Johnny is gone for a while." Toasts voice came out with a hiss, shoving the blankets off of himself. Spooker nodded, cringing at the words that Toast said. He didn't think Toast would do such a thing... but it never truly hurt to be too careful. "Besides you calling me an idiot, I know enough of your past from Ghost and your 'I'm a wonderful British guy with two sets of parents and rich and powerful-'" As Spooker spoke he mimicked Toasts voice, it dropping some and a bad British accent accompanying it. "'I'm British. I drink tea and smoke cigarettes like it's breakfast lunch and dinner-" Spooker stopped the accent but kept his voice low and serious. "But god damn it, Johnny, I know signs when I see them." Spooker stepped back, as if he was bracing for something, for Toast to come at him for speaking back to him. "Fred." Toast started, gently turning around and scanned him up and down. "I.. I apologize." He took a gentle step back, showing Spooker that he wasn't going to yell. He wasn't going to respond the same way Ghost did with Spooker. He turned again, letting Spooker watch him put his robe on over his tank top and over pj pants that were grey, patchwork sewn half hazardly onto them. Ghosts pajamas. He tied it closed, soon glancing at himself in the mirror, eyes flicking to Spooker. "My insomnia is coming back.." Toast commented, pushing his hair out of his face with both hands.
Spooker nodded, busying himself with grabbing the bottles of alcohol that sat around the bed and the beside table, sighing as they clinked together. "Smoke a blunt, have some melatonin." Toast raised his eyebrows. "Did. Did you just tell me to smoke a blunt?" "Yes. yes I did." Toast scoffed, rolling his eyes.
It was a long hours later, Toast had forced himself to sober up to do paperwork, sipping off his flask occasionally. It was nighttime now. He was sitting at the dinner table in HQ, whiskey bottle in hand. Spooker inched his way in, moving around Toast to make dinner. "Where's Chris?" He asked, sitting back down in the kitchen chair, creaking as his weight shifted as he crossed his leg. Toasts left hand found its place on the chairs armrest, tracing the indented wood - Ghost would scratch at the armrest with his fingernail, Ghost had scratched at it so much he needed to sand it down, making the perfect spot for his own thumb to rest. Toast scooted down, pressing his back into the chair as he stretched his legs out, soon crossing them loosely. He held the bottle by the neck, blinking as he forced himself to come back from his own thoughts. "Spooks -" He was cut off as Spooker shushed him harshly, listening to the faint voice-mail from Chris. 'HE'S IN FUCKING SWEDEN! HE'S IN FUCKING SWEDEN! JOHNNY IS- Y'know- for being supposedly 'never off the grid' or whatever he fucking said. He's really good at just FUCKING DISSAPPEARING! I've had my suspicions about that son of-' Spooker hung up, huffing and setting the phone on the counter. "Col' found him, Sweden apparently. He's been at the police station for almost a day now. Surprised they let him use their EQ even after he quit and joined us." Toast nodded, setting the whiskey bottle down on the table and his hand soon found his pocket, pulling out his case of cigarettes. It was a metallic blue with his initials engraved on the front of it. Toast flicked it open, pulling one from its spot and snapped it closed again. "Damn, I didn't know he pocketed that much money on the way out." He hummed, tapping the cigarette filter against the table, packing the tobacco tighter in it. "Yeah. That's like. at least a thousand.. for a ticket there, and then the money change.. and .. yeah.." Toast looked over at Spooker, watching him trail off. Spooker was biting at his left dimple piercing. Toast watched the star spin against Spookers cheek. "Whats eating you?" He mumbled, lighting the cigarette.
Spooker shifted, crossing his arms. He closed himself off. "Ah nothin'..." He muttered, Turing to the stove to put the food on low heat. "Ginger.." Toast started, soon causing Spooker to turn around and lesn against the warm stove. "Talk to me. after all this I can't keep constantly speaking like a rubbish man and let you sit here and not speak at all-" Toast rambled slightly, "You let me faff off half the bloody time-"
Spooker sighed loudly, causing Toast to cut himself off. He cleared his throat and turned his attention back to Spooker.
"I don't.. think you guys like me, " Spooker moved his head down, avoiding eye contact now. "Just, I know that you've told me it's just how Ghost is. But I can't help but think you feel the exact same way about me. I have been thinking a lot about what Ghost has said in the past.. what he said to me during him leaving. That.. I think is what hit me the most. the whole "Get your hands off me it's not like you contributed anything like I have to this company!' " Spooker waved his hands, mimicking Ghosts body movement from the moment, micking the venom too. Toast nearly choked on his whiskey at the last bit. "When the bloody hell did he say that-?" Spooker looked up at him for a moment. "You didn't hear that?" "I guess not- I must have been half sloshed by then." The ginger nodded looking away. "Yeah, and just... that hasn't sat with me right.. and I've kinda let it take over my head- I.. uh." He paused, "I'm going to turn in my letter of resignation after things calm down."
Toast put his hand on his chest. "The Fuck?-" He snapped for a moment, shrinking in his chair as he saw Spooker flinch. "Fuck, 'M sorry Fred." He started, taking a moment to collect his thoughts. "I'm not going to tell you no about turing in your letter of resignation." Toasts voice shifted, seemingly more sober - a voice he would use on phone calls and in pre-mission prep talks. "But I will advise against it fully. I apologize for not making it seem like you are fully initiated in the team." Spooker squinted at him. "How did you know about tha-" He stopped talking as Toast held up a finger. "I apologize for Johnny's behavior as well, that isn't polite of him, and im sorry that I didn't step in to catch this behavior prior to these events." Toast knew he couldn't comment much on Ghosts behavior, he could barely get a wrangle on the smaller man when he was upset. "I do like you." He said simply, finally drawing from the smoke that had been burning away in his hand. Speaking again quietly. "I don't know why he speaks like that.. he likes you too, it's just how he is. he's scared of letting people in and doesn't know how to do it in a safe manner." He said, letting his hand with the cigarette rest against the table. "You've been a great contribution to this team, even if no one has told you that enough. Your great at fixing technology and taking over stressful situations. You quickly became the token mom friend of the group and stop us dead in our tracks to help clean a wound. You do wonders at picklocking, hell. surprisingly your good with hand to hand combat. I also... gave you I think, a 2 dollar raise for these past few months. For an extra thank you for dealing with me and staying by my side. You're a wonderful person Fred. I understand if you would like to leave, I just hope your next job will be as much fun and chaos like this one." Toast stood up, switching his cigarette to his non-dominate hand, holding his right one out to shake Fred's hand. "I want to apologize for my own behavior as well, you shouldn't need to babysit me like you have. But i appreciate it greatly nonetheless. You are a wonderful, wonderful ginger bloke. I am absolutely chuffed to bits to have had you as a member of P.I.E. I am sorry that this job here wasn't as good as we had planned it to be." Toast smiled warmly, hoping there wasn't too much pain showing in his eyes. Spooker just stood there, looking at Toast flabbergasted. "Fre-" Toasts words were cut off as Spooker had jumped up to hug him, his grip tight. Toast wrapped his arms around Spooker tightly, feeling him heave slightly from a soft sob. "Oh spooks.." He said gently. His hand reaching off from Spookers back to the knob on the stove to turn the burner off - soon returning to Spookers back. Spooker rested his head on Toasts shoulder, sniffing softly. "Fuck... sorry sorry.." He muttered, going to pull away but Toast hugged him tighter. "You're fine, just stay a moment.." He said, resting his head on top of Spookers.
Spooker took a moment, Toast reeked of tobacco and whiskey. Spooker knew damn well he still reeked of that paprika he had spilled all over himself earlier. He pulled back finally, sniffling as he wiped his nose with his sweater. "Ugh.." He muttered. "Thank you... I'll reconsider my resignation letter, boss.." "Johnathan." Toast corrected gently. "Or John, Johnny, I don't mind what you call me, but boss is work only." He joked. Spooker smiled, nodding. "Okay John.-" He shook out his hands, bracelets making a small noise. "Euugh! that's so weird to call you by your name now! that'll take forever for me to get used too." He said playfully.
Spooker turned back to the spaghetti, plucking the lid off of it. He grabbed the spoon, stirring it slowly. It was wonderful to have that weight off his shoulders, it had stressed him out so so much for the past few months. Maybe once this all calms down with P.I.E. maybe he won't quit, he'll stay. He couldn't think of another job that would be even a slim close to how cool this one was. They catch ghosts for christ's sake. Spooker was grinning at this point, aware that Toast was watching over his shoulder that whole time.
The harsh knock on the door made both of their heads shoot up. Toast made the move to the door and Spooker moved to begin to make plates for the three of them.
Toast whipped open the door, grunting softly as Chris shoved his way past Toast and set his bags on the kitchen table. He reached into one of them, pulling out a bag of Evidenve from the police station he was just at. "Johnathan." Toast peered over at Chris with the bloody hunting knife in the evidence bag. His eyes widened, taking a small step back into the living room. "Oh fuck me!" He exclaimed. "You have so much explaining to do John." Chris hissed. Spookee stood there, two plates in hand and listened to the other people bicker. "Hey guys.. guys-" He rolled his eyes, raising his voice. "HEY! Shut up, sit down and eat dinner." He barked, the two men obliged, arms crossed as they sat across from one another. Spooker gave them their plates, and a can of soda to thr both of them "Its spaghetti, but I used leftover bacon grease to cook the sausage and the scraps of bacon are in it too." He walked back over and grabbed his own, standing between them, by the side of the table. "There are orange and red peppers in it as well as mozzarella cheese, and some Colby jack as well. Be civil until the both of you are done, yes that also counts if the other wants seconds.." He glanced between the two of them, smiling softly. "Mom energy." Chris mumbled, Toast nodding in agreement.

Hi I was wondering if I could request Eddie helping a regressed reader, who uses a pacifier, with nightmares? (I don’t mind what you write)
Thank you 😊
Hello there, I apologize that this is fairly short! Inspiration has been tough this past week. I do hope it’s still comforting and kind to you!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Outside it’s nighttime- a time for both fear and sleep to you and your neighbors. Lately though, you can’t seem to separate the two. Without warning you’re wrenched from terrible images and into the darkness of the real world.
Sitting up with a start, you clutch at the blankets of Eddie and Frank’s guest room bed. Your heart pounds wildly, and nearly as soon as you realize you’re awake, you regress. You can’t help it, curling up and sucking on your thumb as you try to breathe slowly. The images of your nightmares still feel so real, pressing against the back of your eyes when you close them.
Eddie and Frank are your caretakers & best friends, and you spend the night so often the guest room has your own blankets from home on it. Right now though, the room feels empty and void, the darkness pressing down from every side.
Bravely, yet with tears in your eyes, you stand up and inch your way to the door. Your footsteps tremble, so regressed and afraid it’s hard to make your way. You want your caretakers though, and fearfully hurry yourself through the dark hall.
Eddie and Frank’s room is less dark, the nightlight sending warm yellow light across the floor as you creep towards the bed. Eddie’s side of the bed faces the door, so you nudge at his back, trying so hard not to cry yet. Eddie lets out a snort as he wakes up, blinking at you confusedly for a moment.
“Well hi, Reader. Y’ alright? It’s real late, innit?” His accent is even thicker than usual due to how sleepy he is. When his eyes focus, he sees your terrified face, looking pale and small in the low light. “Woah, hey now- Hey what’s wrong?”
He sits up and immediately pulls you into his lap on the bed. You bury into his chest and let out a quiet sob. He shushes at you, his hand cradling the back of your head.
“Ah, neighbor, love, it’s all okay! Hey, y’ want your paci? I got it in the drawer right here.” He reaches to his bedside table and digs around, not letting go of you. Finding it, he coaxes it into your mouth and you begin stimming with it as you hide your face in him. He’s warm and smells like vanilla and craft glue - the smell is such a comfort ever since the two began caring for you.
“Too small to tell me what happened, sweet?” He brushes his fingers through your hair worriedly, frowning softly.
“Nightmares,” you whimper around your pacifier.
“Nightmares? Aw, sweet, they can’t get ya here! I’d fight ‘em off with a broom! Uh- they’re not here thought, right?”
You giggle, despite it all, clutching his sleep shirt. “No, they live in sleep world!”
“Oh, good,” he says, genuinely sounding relieved. “You faced ‘em all by yourself? Phew you’re a mighty bit brave, for a little neighbor!”
You shake your head against him, making yourself small. “Not brave… got scared!”
“It’s okay to be scared! It doesn’t mean y’r any less brave, little one.” He pulls you to him and you rest on his shoulder softly, wrapped around him like a baby koala. “I get spooked by things all the time, heck! There was the mouse in the office just last week for one - we don’t need to talk about that though,” he adds hurriedly. It makes you laugh again, and he pulls back to smile at you, warm and bright enough to light the room up.
“Don’t want to sleep…” you sigh. Sleep is where the fear is still waiting to snatch you away, and you don’t want it to happen.
“Even if I let you scooch in here between me and Mr. Mom?” Eddie pulls out an old nickname to cheer you up, one of the first things you could panickedly think of to call Frank on the first day they helped caretake for you. It was so silly both of you froze and then laughed yourselves right out of regression time. Frank likes it though, when it’s used to be funny.
“Can I really?”
Eddie foregoes an answer and instead picks you up like you weigh nothing, setting you down on the space between their sleeping sides. He tucks you in gently, planting a kiss on your forehead. As you settle, Frank shifts and turns over in their sleep, their arm falling across your chest.
“See? Even asleep we always take care of you!” He settles in beside you, also draping an arm over you. You’re completely protected by their bodies on both sides. It feels warm, safe, soft. No wonder their house sometimes feels more like home than your own - with these two looking out for you it’s like nothing in the world could harm you.
“Get some more rest, love… Mr. dad and Mr. mom love you - no matter what!” He gives the side of your head an affectionate kiss, pulling the three of you closer together with his big, warm arms. “I’ll even make orange juice before work if y’ wake up soon enough. Never forget that we care about you - I care about you. And no silly nightmares can ever change that!”

People put a lot of pressure on firsts. First birthday, first words, first steps, first time on an airplane, first time riding a bike, first time being on your own, first time driving, first time on a rollercoaster, first concert. They were supposed to be these monumental things that lingers, permeates, and stays in your memories because they matter. Because you can always go back to the first time you did something or had something. First car, first love, first heartbreak, first kiss.
Jimin, like any hopeless romantic, thought his first kiss would mean something. He thought he would get it at the age of 12 after watching Little Manhattan. When that didn’t happen, he thought he would get it at 16, just like all the characters in the shows and movies he watched. When at 25, the boy he thought would give him his first kiss had instead run circles around him and confused him to no end only for said boy to run back to his ex-girlfriend, Jimin he had enough. Even Drew Barrymore’s character in Never Been Kissed got kissed at 25. But when he turned 26, still with virgin lips, Jimin was seething. He didn’t want the perfect kiss anymore. He just wanted to be kissed. Period.
He was, in short, desperate.
The funny thing about life is that sometimes, when you’ve given up, that’s when things start to fall into place. And even though Jimin had given up his fantasy of a kiss that would change him, a first kiss that mattered, his first kiss still mattered and did in fact change him.
Just not in the way he thought he would be changed. Not in the way that he finally found the love of his life. Not in the holding-hands-into-the-sunset-until-the-credits-rolled. Not in the everything-makes-sense-now. But in the way that he had let himself do things he wouldn’t normally do like dye his hair blonde. Or get piercings, two on each of his ears, and contemplating on getting a fifth one.
It’s like the experience, although mostly unconscious and rushed, had opened a gate for him. If he can kiss strangers, he can do almost anything. And he wants to know how far he can go. That’s why on a bright, sunny, afternoon he’s sitting in a tattoo parlor with Taehyung who doesn’t even plan on getting a tattoo. The same way he didn’t plan on getting piercings but happily accompanied Jimin anyways. He even helped Jimin pick out his earrings after and it was a unanimous decision that the silver ones looked best. But not in the same way that he had told Jimin he was just coming with him to the salon only to find him later strapped to a chair, impulsively coloring his hair a solid red. It suited him though.
They were talking noisily in the small waiting room that smelled like a spa which, Jimin supposes and tells Taehyung, is meant to calm you down either as the person getting the tattoo, or the person waiting, hearing the buzzing of the gun from behind the light purple curtain. The place was mostly white, with a light wood accents on the reception table and waiting chairs. There were a few framed photos of tattoo artist’s work. All different styles from delicate strokes of flowers to hardcore big ones like a lion that looked like it was going to jump from the skin it was tattooed on. It wasn’t what Jimin had expected a tattoo parlor would look like as the movies showed it but Taehyung supplies that it’s probably because Jimin was too excited and couldn’t wait until nighttime to get his tattoo. It might have looked different in the night.
“There’s those neon light on the ceilings, Jimin-ah.” Taehyung points upwards and Jimin’s gaze follows.
“You’re right, it probably looks different in the night.” Jimin says just as the buzzing of the gun stopped. They hear a muffled conversation and some movement behind the curtain. Then it swings open to show the artist, pulling out his gloves and typing something on the tablet that was left on the reception table. His presence makes Jimin and Taehyung stop talking. The artist looked like an Adonis. He had broad shoulders and a small waist, wearing a black tanktop that showed off his muscular arms with one arm completed covered in tattoos. Jimin wants to say he’s staring because he’s fascinated by all the art of his arm but there were other things too like his chest that was well sculpted. He was playing with his lip ring as he typed away on the tablet with furrowed brows that were framed by his mullet.
They’ve probably already committed a crime by staring too long but the artist seems unfazed. Their gazes only leave him when the client comes out as well, which only emphasized how god-like the artist was. The client looked like he worked an office job. He was tall and lanky with sharp features. He wore a jacket over his plain shirt and had on slacks so Jimin couldn’t tell where he put his tattoo which is perfect. Jimin also doesn’t want his first tattoo to be easily seen. Maybe his third one. He’ll make it more visible. But for this first one, it’s just for him.
The man pays for the service and then bows. Once he’s walked out and whatever the artist was typing away in the tablet was done, he looks at both Jimin and Taehyung, which startles them both because he’s eyes looked like it held galaxies.
“Which one of you is Park Jimin?”
Jimin raises his hand as Taehyung points at him.
The artist nods and says, “I’m Jungkook. I’ll be your tattoo artist for today. First time?”
Jimin nods.
Jungkook presses things on his tablet again and then lifts it up to show Jimin the design he had sent when he booked this session.
“It’s this one right? Do you already know where you want it?”
“Uhm…” Jimin touches the area where his ribs are, “...here.”
Jungkook nods. Their interaction is so tense and Jimin doesn’t know why. Maybe it’s the lack of words coming from Jungkook or all the excitement Jimin had felt suddenly turned into fear. Regardless, he was shaking his leg up and down now and wonders if it’s too late to back out.
“I’ll just prepare the set-up and I’ll call you in.” Jungkook calls Jimin and then turns to Taheyung, “You can stay inside and watch if you like.” Then, he walks behind the curtain.
Taehyung beams and then whispers to Jimin, “I wonder what he looks like at night.” Jimin nudges him with his elbow and scowls.
He loudly whispers, “Behave.” To which Taheyung mouths, “He’s hot.”
Jimin mouths back, “I know.”
“Jimin-ssi, you can come in now.”
“And me right?” Taehyung asks as he stands. Jungkook nods.
When they’re all behind the curtain, Jimin sees a black lounging chair and a stool with wheels, which is probably where Jungkook stays. There’s another chair the back corner where Taehyung, without being told, moves to sit down, a smile still plastered on his face.
“Your shirt.” Jungkook says.
“My shirt?” Jimin asks.
“Take it off.”
“Why?”
Jungkook furrows his brows.
“Ah yeah, for the ta-” Jimin mumbles as he takes his shirt off, “ta-tattoo. Right. Yes.” He hears Taehyung snicker and he shoots daggers at him with his eyes but it doesn’t stop him. He just covers his face. Jimin rolls his eyes and moves to lie down of the lounging chair. He feels very vulnerable being topless in front of a very beautiful man who reaches out and touches the area beneath his chest which sends instant goosebumps on his skin.
“Here, right?”
“Yes…” Jimin says but it comes out as a whisper.
“Okay, “ Jungkook takes his hand off Jimin and tinkers around with his tools, wearing a new pair of gloves. He seats himself on the stool and then says, “Let me know if it gets too painful. We can take breaks, especially since this one’s big.”
“That’s what he said,” Taehyung says and Jimin whines.
“Tae, you’re staying outside!” Jimin says as he sits up and throws his hands at the direction of the waiting room.
“No! I promise! That was the last!”
“Are you guys together?” Jungkook asks.
“NO!” They say it at the same time and a bit too loud, eyes both blown wide.
Jungkook simply nods, looking from Taehyung to Jimin.
“Okay, well let me know if you’re ready to start.”
“I’m ready.” Jimin says as he settles himself again on the lounge chair.
It comes as a shock to everyone that Jimin didn’t ask for any breaks even though Jungkook kept asking him every now and then. Jimin, surprising himself as well, finds that the pain is tolerable. He can feel it and he knows a needle with ink is being punctured into his skin, but he doesn’t mind. Maybe it was the spa smell helping him along. Or that the buzz somehow lulls him and makes him empty his mind. The only time they had to pause was so that Jimin could change positions to lie on his side so that Jungkook could finish the rest of the tattoo that climbed up on to the side of his ribs.
When he was done and patched up, Jungkook told him that it was weird that he hadn’t taken any breaks.
“You know the ribs are the most painful part right?”
“Yeah,” Jimin shrugs. “I did some research on it but I really wanted it there.”
Jungkook nods. Jimin’s starting to get used to his silence. It was unnerving at first but it’s probably more because he looked too pretty ot be real. Now, it just feels calming. Like he’s always contemplating about things. Absorbing things. After a beat, he nods towards the full length mirror.
“Go check it out.”
Jimin stands and he can already see it from afar. The words etched on his skin. He breaks out into a wide smile.
“I love it.” He touches the areas around it. His skin still a little red.
“You have a very high pain tolerance.” Jungkook comments without looking at him. He’s removing his gloves and fixing his set-up, closing the ink jars he had used and wiping down some of his equipment.
“Thanks, I guess?” Jimin says to Jungkook’s reflection in the mirror.
Taehyung slides up next to him and says, “But a very low tolerance for alcohol. Am I right?”
“Shut up!” But Jimin’s smiling.
“It really looks good, Jimin-ah.” Taehyung admires, holding Jimin’s shirt out to him.
“Do you plan on getting more, Jimin-ssi?” Jungkook asks, watching their reflections in the mirror. Jimin turns to him and catches the way Jungkook looks at Jimin up and down. Maybe wondering where else Jimin would put a tattoo.
“Yeah…but not anytime soon. I want to uhm…enjoy this one first?”
Jungkook nods and locks his eyes with him. He crosses his arm and leans his hip on the table.
“Well, I hope you won’t let anyone else do your tattoos.”
“I won’t.”

Everybody thinks that Yoongi’s first heartbreak was Chaeyoung.
The truth is Yoongi’s first heartbreak was his father. Ripping up his music sheets.
He wasn’t even mad at Yoongi. It was spur of the moment, something he could grab hold to when he was once again arguing with Yoongi’s mother. Yoongi was too young to know that it wasn’t his fault. That their difference, the gaping hole that came between them, was something that existed even before Yoongi came. He was just collateral damage. He was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.
But when you’re blinded by anger, whatever even triggered you doesn’t matter. It didn’t matter that Yoongi didn’t even choose to do piano lessons. It wasn’t his intention to like the hobby his mother put him in. It wasn’t his fault he had fell in love with the way he could create something out of nothing by just pressing the right combination of keys.
It was the first time that it was hammered into his soft heart that love hurt.
But it wouldn’t be the last. And sometimes when you’ve been hurt once, it’s a lot harder to recover from being hurt again. So even though everyone assumes Yoongi has moved on because he’s no longer downing alcohol like water or spending nights out with strangers, or lashing out at any chance he gets or disappearing for months, doesn’t mean the pain has subsided. Doesn’t mean he isn’t forever changed by it.
It comes for him at random times nowadays. It comes in waves, drowning him and he feels like he can’t breathe. Nothing really triggers it. He actually thinks it comes when he least expects it, when he’s too happy, or too calm, when his mind has enough time to slow down and process things. Then his chest would hurt and everything comes back to him all at once: the guilt, the anger, the betrayal.
The worst part is that the farther the gaps between these moments, the more painful it became because he would think he would be fine already. He thinks it’s never gonna happen again but when it does, he’s not ready for it. He doesn’t know anymore how he got over the last one. He doesn’t know when it will end. And all feels new again. A fresh wound he has to tend to for god knows how long.
Right now, he’s having one of those moments as he’s in the middle of mixing another love song. He pushes himself off his chair and storms out to his garage. Trying to calm his breathing but he knows it won’t work. It always goes away on it’s own and never when Yoongi yields it to. He climbs on his motorcycle and wears his helmet. He starts the engine and he just goes. He rides in any direction, the wind and the helmet muffling the city’s sounds. Rides until his muscles feel sore and his mind blanks out again. Until he can breathe again.
He doesn’t know how long he’s been going at it. The night seems to extend endlessly, letting him run away for awhile.
He stops somewhere in Gangnam where the nightlife fades out the stars in the sky. He breathes through his nose and takes off his helmet. He’s still straddling his motorcycle, one foot on the ground and the other still on top of the gas. He could hear chatter and music all around him as if it wasn’t the dead of the night. He simply people watches for awhile as he feels out his arms and legs.
When he’s about to put back his helmet and start the engine again he hears a little shouting from somewhere between the buildings. He furrows his brows and can hear someone screaming for someone to stop. Yoongi looks around him if anyone else hears but everyone is just milling around, laughing even as they stumbled from clubs to the next open establishment.
But there it is again. It almost sounds like they’re struggling.
++++++
He doesn’t know what makes him do it but he parks his motorcycle and follows the sound. He doesn’t know what he’s expecting but whatever it was, it would be better than the scene in front of him.
Park Jimin was almost half naked. The man, so much larger than Jimin with an uneven shaved head, had him pressed up against wall. Jimin’s shirt was ripped and his pants pooled down to his ankles. Jimin was wailing at this point, tears threatening to spill from his eyes.
++++++
And Yoongi…Yoongi saw red. There wasn’t any blood now but he was about to go seek it.
His mind, as he wanted, does go blank and he pulls the man to punch him. The surprised look on the man’s face only fueled Yoongi’s anger and he didn’t stop. He kept punching his face until he started to bleed. The man must’ve recovered from his initial shock because then he pushed back but Yoongi leaned into his anger, grabbed everything single thing that ever frustrated him and disappointed him, threw into his punches.
The man probably thought it wasn’t worth his time and he was already bleeding from a cut on his brow that was starting to trickle on to this eyes. He scurries away as he still tries to say some insult about Jimin not in being worth it. Yoongi would have ran after him and strangled him if not for Jimin sniffling from where he stood, frozen, still.
He looked vaguely at the space in front of him. His clothes still in a disarray.
Yoongi slowly comes up to him. He doesn’t know where to start but he’s scared to touch him. So he softly asks if he can help with his clothes. Jimin doesn’t respond. Just stares blankly ahead.
Yoongi shifts his weight on his legs. He has to cover him up now but he understands that if he does anything too fast, Jimin might flinch and he doesn’t want to see that.
“I’m going to pull your pants up okay?” He says it like Jimin’s four years old and he’s only teaching him how to wear clothes.
Jimin finally nods and stares down. His tears start to fall. The droplets mark the ground. He meets Yoongi’s hands when it comes up around his waist but doesn’t do anything. Just lightly touches him. So Yoongi proceeds to button him up.
They don’t look at each other as Yoongi shrugs out of his bomber jacket and slowly lifts Jimin’s arms to put it through the sleeves. He zips him up all the way to his neck, holding both of his arms. Jimin silently cries all throughout. When Yoongi was about to release him, sliding his hands down his arm, Jimin catches his left hand with his right.
It might be because he was coming off the high of his anger but he feels a small electricity between their clasped hands, like blood is rushing everywhere. He looks at their hands, watches as Jimin clutches him tighter, and Yoongi understands that he doesn’t want to be alone.

Yacht Party Guide
A yacht party is the perfect way to celebrate with friends and family, whether it's a birthday, anniversary, or just a fun get-together. Imagine the wind in your hair, the beautiful ocean waves, and the stunning view as you cruise around the water. Hosting a yacht party can be a memorable and luxurious experience, but to make it successful, there are a few things you need to keep in mind. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to host the ultimate yacht party, including planning, decorations, entertainment, and even activities like yacht party Dubai and Jet Ski Dubai. Whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned yacht enthusiast, these tips will ensure your event is a hit!
Tumblr media
1. Planning Your Yacht Party
The first step in hosting a yacht party is proper planning. The key is to know what you want and make sure your yacht is suitable for your needs. Whether you're hosting a small gathering or a large celebration, you need to find the right yacht that fits the vibe and atmosphere you’re going for.
Choosing the Right Yacht
When looking for a yacht, consider the number of guests you plan to invite. For a smaller, more intimate gathering, a smaller yacht will do. However, if you're planning to invite a larger crowd, you’ll need a yacht that can accommodate everyone comfortably. Many yachts also come with additional features like a jacuzzi, a bar, or a dance floor—so choose one that aligns with the type of party you want to throw.
Timing and Duration
Next, think about the timing of your yacht party. A sunset cruise can be beautiful, with the sky turning golden and the water reflecting the changing colors. You might also want to consider whether you want your party to be during the day or at night. Daytime yacht parties are often more relaxed, while nighttime parties offer a glamorous, sparkling vibe under the stars.
The duration of your yacht party is another key consideration. A few hours on the water is usually enough to keep things lively and fun. But if you plan on offering a full day of activities, make sure you have enough entertainment options to keep guests engaged.
2. Invitations and Guest List
One of the most important aspects of any party is the guest list. When deciding who to invite to your yacht party, think about the kind of atmosphere you want to create. If it’s a casual gathering, you might prefer close friends and family. If you want something a little more upscale, invite colleagues or acquaintances who enjoy a sophisticated environment.
Sending Invitations
Once you’ve decided on your guest list, it's time to send out invitations. Since you’re hosting a yacht party, it’s a good idea to make the invitations stand out. You can create digital invites with nautical-themed designs or use platforms like email or event planning apps. Make sure to include all the necessary details, like the time, location, dress code, and any special activities (like Jet Ski Dubai experiences).
3. Yacht Party Decorations
Tumblr media
Decorating your yacht is a great way to enhance the party atmosphere. Since the yacht will already provide a stunning backdrop, you don’t need to overdo it. Instead, focus on adding touches that match the ocean theme and make your party feel luxurious.
Nautical Theme
A nautical theme is the most fitting for a yacht party. Think navy blue, white, gold, and silver accents. You can also use items like seashells, ropes, and lanterns to create a relaxing seaside vibe. Keep the decorations light and breezy to complement the natural beauty of the ocean.
Lighting
Lighting is essential, especially for evening yacht parties. String lights can create a romantic and intimate atmosphere, while LED lights on the deck will help set the mood. If you want to go all out, you can add some fancy chandeliers or chandeliers that hang over the dining table.
4. Food and Drinks
Great food and drinks are key to any successful yacht party. Since you’ll be on the water, you might want to opt for light, refreshing foods and drinks that fit the vibe.
Catering
You could hire a professional catering service, or you can choose to bring your own food. Popular choices for a yacht party include finger foods like sliders, sushi, fruit platters, and fresh seafood. You can also opt for a barbecue or gourmet chef prepared meals for a more luxurious touch. Don’t forget about a selection of refreshing beverages, from cocktails and mocktails to wine and champagne.
Signature Cocktails
A signature cocktail can add a personal touch to your yacht party. Whether you’re serving a tropical drink or a classic favorite, make sure it’s easy to make and enjoy while cruising. You can even name the drink after your event or location—think “Ocean Breeze” or “Sunset Delight.”
5. Entertainment Ideas
Tumblr media
The key to making your yacht party truly memorable is offering plenty of entertainment options. The best yacht parties always have something exciting to do, whether it’s water activities or a fun onboard experience.
Water Activities: Yacht Party Dubai and Jet Ski Dubai
For those of you lucky enough to be hosting your yacht party in a destination like Dubai, you’re in for a treat! Yacht party Dubai is one of the most sought-after experiences for tourists and locals alike. The clear blue waters, stunning views of the Dubai skyline, and luxury yachts make it a perfect place to host a glamorous yacht party.
But it doesn’t stop there—Jet Ski Dubai is another thrilling activity you can include for your guests. You can rent Jet Skis and take your guests on an exciting ride across the water. It’s a great way to add some adrenaline to your event, and everyone loves a good water sport challenge. You can even set up a friendly competition or race for added fun!
Music and Dancing
Music is another essential part of your yacht party. Whether you opt for a live band, a DJ, or a simple playlist, make sure the tunes match the energy you want to create. Upbeat tunes work great for a daytime party, while more chill, relaxed music might be better for a sunset or evening gathering.
If you have a large group of guests, setting up a dance floor can turn your yacht into a party hotspot. You can also add a karaoke machine for extra fun!
Games and Activities
If you’re looking for something interactive, consider setting up fun games. For example, you could organize a scavenger hunt with nautical clues or bring along some classic party games like cards or board games. For those who enjoy a more active experience, consider adding a small inflatable pool, water volleyball, or even paddle boarding.
6. Dress Code
The dress code for your yacht party will depend on the vibe you want to create. If you’re hosting a formal affair, consider suggesting evening attire like cocktail dresses, suits, or tuxedos. For a more relaxed party, casual yet chic outfits work best. Think summer dresses, linen shirts, and stylish shorts or pants.
It’s also important to advise your guests to bring comfortable shoes, as the deck can sometimes be slippery. And don’t forget about sunscreen if the party is happening during the day!
7. Safety and Comfort
While having fun is a priority, safety should always come first. Make sure the yacht is well-equipped with life jackets, especially if your guests plan on partaking in water activities. It’s also important to have a professional crew onboard who can handle navigation, safety, and emergency procedures.
Comfort is another consideration. Be mindful of the weather and bring extra towels or blankets for guests if needed. If the yacht has a cabin, provide comfortable seating and air conditioning or heating for guests to relax during the party.
8. Closing the Event
As your yacht party winds down, make sure to send your guests home with a memorable souvenir or thank-you gift. Personalized items like mini bottles of champagne, seashell trinkets, or customized hats can serve as a lovely reminder of the day.

Texture in the Spotlight: Why Natural Pendant Lights Are Interior Essentials
Lighting is more than a finishing touch—it’s what sets the tone for your entire space. And when chosen with care, it becomes art, ambiance, and architecture all in one. While sleek fixtures and sculptural forms have their place, there’s something undeniably grounding about lighting that brings texture into focus. That’s where natural pendant lights shine.
At Home and Soul Dubai, we see hanging lights as more than just functional—they’re mood-setters, storytellers, and sculptural accents that effortlessly pull a space together. Whether styled above a dining table or in a quiet corner of your bedroom, modern pendant lighting crafted from natural materials adds depth, dimension, and warmth to your home.
Try Our Estella Pendant Light
Why Texture Matters in Lighting
In design, texture adds life. It invites touch, catches light in different ways, and creates visual softness in a space. Natural pendant lights—crafted from materials like rattan, raffia, or woven bamboo—bring organic texture into focus. They diffuse light gently, casting warm glows and soft shadows that make any room feel more intimate and layered.
In a world filled with hard lines and flat screens, texture reintroduces balance. It reminds us to slow down, to notice the details, and to create homes that feel as good as they look.
Hanging Lights as Focal Points
Well-placed hanging lights can define a space without overwhelming it. In dining areas, a pendant centered above the table becomes an anchor—a quiet sculptural moment that sets the mood for gatherings. In bedrooms, a pair of low-hanging pendants can replace traditional bedside lamps, bringing symmetry and softness to your nighttime routine.
Try Our Try Our Catalina Natural Raffia Pendant Light
For open-plan living, textured pendant lights help visually separate zones, adding rhythm and calm to the layout.
Pendant Lights in Dubai: Style That Suits the Climate
In warm, light-filled spaces like those in Dubai, natural materials thrive. Breathable, earthy textures feel at home in our climate—cool to the eye and soft to the touch. That’s why pendant lights in Dubai made from organic materials are not just a trend—they’re a natural choice.
Whether your home leans bohemian, coastal, or modern, a rattan or raffia pendant introduces a sense of quiet luxury—an effortless sophistication that works year-round.
A Modern Take on Tradition
Modern pendant lighting doesn't have to be cold or stark. In fact, the newest wave of design celebrates natural textures within minimalist silhouettes—think clean lines softened by handwoven finishes.
This balance between form and feeling is what makes natural pendant lights so versatile. They pair beautifully with concrete tables, cotton sofas, and neutral palettes, creating a harmonious flow that feels both contemporary and organic.
In a well-designed space, lighting isn’t just functional—it’s emotional. It sets the atmosphere, tells a story, and elevates the everyday. And when texture takes the spotlight, lighting becomes even more powerful.
Whether you’re refreshing a dining room, styling a bedroom, or creating calm in your entryway, natural pendant lights offer warmth, character, and quiet beauty. They are more than a trend—they are interior essentials

Interior Design on a Budget- Get the Look You Want in Greater Noida
Introduction
Finding the best interior designer in Greater Noida need not be costly. Actually, most designers in the area are experts at turning out exquisite interiors on a limited budget. Be it settling down in a 2BHK apartment in Sector 137 or having a villa in Jaypee Greens, the appropriate design scheme can totally revamp your property without digging deep into your pocket.
Why Budget Interior Design Matters in Greater Noida
Greater Noida is famous for its fast urbanization, trendy residential complexes, and migration of working professionals and families. During property investment, most homeowners realize that their funds after purchase are scarce. That's where budget interior design is crucial—not only to make your house habitable, but to make it feel like you.
Also, with increasing construction prices and inflation, it's more important than ever to maximize what you have. Clever decisions, locally sourced materials, and creative thinking can make your home look like it was designed by a professional—even on a shoestring budget.
How an Interior Designer in Greater Noida Can Help You Save
Most of the people think that interior designers are expensive, but a professional interior designer in Greater Noida can save you money and time as well. Here's how:
Vendor Discounts: Suppliers give designers lower prices, and those discounts are transferred to you.
Space Optimization: An efficient design uses every single inch of your house, and it really matters in small flats.
Prevent Costly Mistakes: From incorrect furniture sizes to incompatible colors, designers prevent rework.
Project Management: Designers organize carpenters, electricians, and painters—spare you time and trouble.
Budget Planning: They assist you in planning your budget wisely—knowing where to splurge and where to pinch.
Best Budget-Friendly Interior Design Ideas
Reuse and Repurpose Existing Items
Rather than discarding your old furniture, breathe new life into it.
Paint your wooden furniture in fashionable pastels.
Convert old crates into bookshelves.
Reupholster dining chairs with fresh, bright fabrics.
Smart Paint Choices
A quick coat of paint can completely transform the atmosphere of any room.
Utilize lighter colors to open up rooms.

Check out local outlets in Noida for low-cost modular items.
Affordable Decor and DIY Touches
Decor does not have to cost a fortune.
Frame your own photographs or travel souvenirs.
Utilize plants for a fresh, natural look.
Make wall hangings using jute, wood, or old material.
Room-by-Room Budget Design Strategies
Living Room
Paint one wall to provide a focal point.
Place a fashionable but budget-friendly rug.
Install simple floating shelves for books and plants.
Bedroom

Install peel-and-stick backsplash tiles.
Swap old handles or knobs for a speedy update.
Use budget baskets or hanging racks to organize.
Bathroom
Replace mirrors and install small storage racks.
Replace shower curtains with strong patterns.
Use adhesive hooks rather than drilling.
Balcony/Terrace
Install artificial turf or an outdoor rug.
Use folding chairs and a small table.
Hang fairy lights or lanterns for nighttime ambiance.
Common Mistakes to Avoid When Designing on a Budget
Trying to do everything at once: Do one room at a time.
Ignoring the layout: Don't overcrowd your space with large furniture.
Skipping professional advice: Even a small consultation with a local interior designer in Greater Noida can save you major headaches later.
Blindly following trends: Go for timeless rather than trendy to spare yourself the expense of replacement in the near future.
Purchasing cheap materials: Cheap doesn't have to equal cheap quality—always consider cost versus durability.
Conclusion
Building your home within a budget isn't merely viable—it can be personally fulfilling. If you have the right vision and a reliable interior designer in Greater Noida, you can turn your home into a warm, fashionable retreat without breaking the bank.
Budget interior design doesn't imply settling; it implies intelligent choice-making, utilizing nearby resources, and looking for simplicity to be aesthetically pleasing. Whether you're beginning for the first time or are in need of a renovation, a solid plan can bring your dream interiors to life.

Light Up Your Life: Choosing the Perfect Lamp for Every Room
Introduction
Lighting holds an indomitable influence over the atmosphere and functionality of any space. Whether illuminating a cozy reading corner or accentuating the grandeur of a sophisticated living room, Lamps are instrumental in shaping the ambiance and utility of interiors. The delicate dance between form and function in lighting design often dictates how we perceive a room’s warmth, energy, and elegance. Thus, understanding the art of choosing the ideal lamp for every room becomes a pivotal aspect of interior design.
The Significance of Lamps in Interior Design
Lamps serve as more than mere vessels for light — they are sculptural pieces that breathe life into interiors. From contemporary Table lamps that exude modern minimalism to luxury lamps that elevate opulence, the selection of the right fixture is a curated art. The interplay between light and shadow, the diffusion of illumination, and the texture of the materials used all contribute to a room’s unique character. By integrating lamps thoughtfully, spaces can achieve a balance between functionality and aesthetic allure.
Identifying Purpose and Functionality
Before selecting a lamp, understanding the purpose of the lighting is paramount. Different rooms in a home demand varying intensities and styles of illumination. For instance, task lighting is essential in workspaces and kitchens, where precision and clarity are required. Conversely, ambient lighting in living rooms and bedrooms creates a calming environment, encouraging relaxation. Table lamps, particularly contemporary table lamps, are ideal for creating localized pools of light, enhancing intimacy in reading nooks or bedrooms.
Floor lamps, often sought after for their versatility, can function as both task and ambient lighting. Available as floor lamps online, these pieces can be strategically placed to anchor furniture arrangements or accentuate architectural features. Additionally, the use of luxury lamps in formal spaces can magnify sophistication, serving as focal points that draw the eye.
Room-Specific Lamp Selection
Living Room: Blending Function and Elegance
The living room is a dynamic space — a hub for socializing, entertainment, and relaxation. As such, a layered lighting approach works best. A combination of overhead fixtures, floor lamps, and table lamps offers adaptability. Selecting Vencha Lighting or other luxury lamps enhances opulence while ensuring adequate illumination.
Positioning a floor lamp beside a reading chair creates a cozy corner, while a statement table lamp on a side table adds depth and warmth. Choosing contemporary table lamps with bold silhouettes can introduce a modern edge, creating an intriguing contrast with traditional décor elements.
Bedroom: Cultivating Serenity
In the bedroom, lamps must cater to restful repose and intimate ambiance. Table lamps placed on nightstands provide gentle, localized lighting, minimizing disruption during nighttime hours. When choosing table lamps, consider the scale relative to the nightstand and the bed; a larger lamp can serve as a decorative element while fulfilling functional needs.
Floor lamps with dimming capabilities can enhance the versatility of bedroom lighting. Opt for luxury lamps that incorporate textured shades or metallic finishes for a sophisticated touch.
Dining Room: Fostering Intimacy
Dining rooms benefit from a harmonious blend of overhead and accent lighting. While chandeliers often take center stage, the addition of floor lamps in darker corners can balance the illumination, preventing harsh contrasts. Selecting contemporary table lamps with sculptural bases for sideboards or buffets can introduce visual intrigue, complementing the dining table’s focal point.
Home Office: Enhancing Productivity
Lighting in a home office must prioritize functionality without sacrificing style. Desk lamps with adjustable arms offer task-specific illumination, reducing eye strain during extended work hours. Vencha Lighting provides an array of contemporary table lamps that merge efficiency with aesthetic finesse.
Placing a floor lamp near a reading chair within the office can create a secondary workspace, ideal for unwinding with literature or reflective thinking. Choosing lamps with matte finishes minimizes glare, creating an environment conducive to concentration.
Entryway: Creating First Impressions
The entryway sets the tone for the home’s design narrative. A striking floor lamp or a pair of table lamps flanking a console table can exude a sense of welcome. Opting for luxury lamps in this space can elevate the entryway’s sophistication, making an unforgettable first impression.
Harmonizing Style and Décor
Lamps are not merely functional — they are integral to a room’s aesthetic identity. When selecting lamps, consider the existing décor style:
Modern Minimalism: Opt for contemporary table lamps with clean lines and minimalist designs. Matte black or brushed gold finishes can impart a sleek, contemporary feel.
Traditional Elegance: Choose luxury lamps with intricate detailing, such as crystal bases or brass accents, to reflect a classic aesthetic.
Eclectic Aesthetic: Mix and match varied lamp styles — combining vintage and modern pieces — to create a curated, personalized look.
Material and Fabrication Considerations
Lamps are constructed from a diverse range of materials, each contributing distinct qualities:
Metal: Modern, industrial appeal — ideal for contemporary table lamps.
Glass: Elegance and transparency — often used in luxury lamps.
Ceramic: Artistic and eclectic — suitable for bohemian or eclectic interiors.
Conclusion: The Transformative Power of Lighting
Selecting the perfect lamp is an intricate process that harmonizes functionality with artistry. The myriad of choices — table lamps, floor lamps online, and Vencha Lighting collections — offer opportunities to infuse spaces with character and charm. By understanding the nuanced interplay between illumination, material, and design, one can truly light up their life, transforming ordinary rooms into extraordinary realms.
