Nightshade is a type of poisonous plant, and Toxikita is the Master of Poison. The plant itself is commonly associated with darker hues and the color purple, a shade which makes up most of Chamille’s color palette.

Tox/Chamille for the ship bingo?

Okay, so this is definitely a ship that I have changed my mind about. Because it's like, when you first get into the elemental master community, it's a ship we all ship. Why wouldn't you? They have shown to be somewhat friendly (they have a split second hug), and there really wasn't really any other female characters available for femslash if you want to go canonically possible.

Of course, that doesn't mean that I think it's the only ship for them. I do enjoy them a lot, don't get me wrong. They can have a very fun dynamic, and there is the angst potential with Chamille going to be a 'bad girl' in season 9, and Tox staying to help with the resistance (if you get the fanfic I am referencing, kudos to you).

But, it's the fact that it's the only ship I see for them? And I get that the ship is great? I don't know, maybe I just want to see them more when they aren't in a relationship. Like everyone always writes them together, which is fine. I want to make that clear. I don't hate this ship. I just...want more variety for the characters?

Like, the ship gives off very big "pair the spares" vibes (for those who don't know, it's essentially when you pair up two characters who otherwise don't have a romantic partner together.) Like, they are the two human female characters who didn't have a set romantic partner until season 8, so if you want femslash, you ship them. Do you get what I am saying?

I am not saying I won't read a fic with them. I have written a fic or two with them together. Just. Can we please have more variety with them, as characters?

Anyway, apologies for such a downer answer I guess? TL:DR, they are fine, I just want something else for them.

Fought legends. Was resurrected. But here I go, smothered by a giant beanbag.

Once they're comfortable with each other, Dusknoir gets a bit clingy. It's not obvious during the day - he might rub the end of her tail/ears between his fingers as a self-soothing tactic if he's nervous, but otherwise she's the one that has to engage with him. At night, though? When his inhibitions are lowered (especially if he's asleep/on the verge of it)? He can't help himself - he seeks out anybody close that's warm, but usually it's Eliana that's ever close enough to fall victim to it to his boa constrictor arms. He wraps up the nearest victim into a big ol' hug and he cuddles them like one would with a stuffed animal. There's no way to escape, one must simply accept their fate and wait until morning when he wakes up inevitably mortified about doing something so forward subconsciously.

Eliana learns this the hard way. (But she doesn't mind it as much as she plays it off. It's kind of nice being compressed like that on a perpetually cold pillow. Most of the time she ends up snuggling him right back.)
