Sometimes a friend group is a 37 year old former assassin who caused a whole bunch of political upheaval by killing a lot of guys, hears the voices of those he killed, and has realized he wants a life of peace, a 800+ year old talking sword who really wants to destroy evil but is beginning to realize he has questions about what that means, a 22 year old former highmarshal who accidentally invented therapy, is learning one song on a flute to try and relax, and trying to find a healthy work- life balance, a 1000+ year old spren who's basically god's daughter and a princess who is also learning how to have a healthy work-life balance with her friend, and a 7000+ year old herald who believes in following the law to the letter, really hates that one song, and does not believe in a healthy work- life balance.

Sword-nimi finds actual chickens suspect. Had a blast drawing this; liking the shape design.

I love that most cultures in Roshar refer to birds as "chickens". Although, I hope Adolin's pre-duel meals are actual chickens and not oversized parrots. When in Roshar I guess.

::: MINOR SPOILERS for Wind and Truth:::: Happy (belated) New Year to all of you here on Tumblr! May Connection and Fortune favor us all! ✨ While reading Wind and Truth I really enjoyed their parts. Somehow with that came a feeling that I wanted to express in an illustration for my New Years post ... something like levity, perhaps hope? It feels like we all need it. So here is the Shinovar roadtrip party not being miserable. 😅

Inversely, imagine also being so good at therapy that you therapize your suicidal client so hard that he finally gets the balls to actually kill himself so that he can escape the voices (Magical mass murderer btw)

your main therapy tools are a magic flute & crawfish boil (btw)
