Late Night Mood: Woke up in the middle of the night edition

The idea of an OC that's just essentially a gyaru/bimbo energy type of gal who's just really into card games. I'm sure that someone's done it before, but its late and I'm willing to let people give me ideas for that. I'm tired and that sounds fun to design

Imagine this whole group on one of their first quests together to 'Save The World!' And the three formally educated know a bit abt the many trials they're all going to go up against(bc the powers that be had decided these three would help the chosen one due to his complete lack of magic experience at all), whilst Roman, Remus, and Virgil are off to the side having started bickering about some off-topic discussion and aren't really paying attention to the current discussion yet.

Janus, to Logan and Patton: "Okay, so. We need this relic that's locked behind this magic cave's entrance that requires its specific puzzle to be solved in a specific way in a specific part of this season on a new moon, we have about 3 months before that time comes until it lapses over and wont be available until next year, is *that* enough time for us to break down and delegate out all the necessary steps between all of us to opening this tedious stupid godforsaken gate?"

Logan and Patton: "err.. well.. maybe?"

Remus, who'd been listening in on the three who actually know what they're all supposed to be doing, and is one of the only people who knew Virgil before he became the chosen one bc theyve been bestfriends since they were toddlers(hense he knows that Virgil can and will overthink everything if given half a chance): "Pssst! V, betcha 1 of Patton's legendary cookies that u won't go in ahead of the others with me to go look at the puzzle inside."

Roman, catching on to his brother doing. Something. And just rolling with it by playing along and afterward going to play distraction with the other three: "Really? You're gonna raise our valiant chosen one to be reckless, going in ahead of us?"

Remus: "relaaax, I just wanna look! I'm bored out here, and I'm not allowed to destroy things to cure said boredom! And someone's gotta scout the place out for potential traps, right?"

Roman, sighing theatrically: "I suppose you're not wrong. Please be careful, though!"

Virgil, skeptical but spite driven to not be seen as weak, quietly: "we'd only be going to look around inside right? We won't touch anything that looks important?"

Remus, gently nudging Virgil: "yeah V, that's it really. I just need to stretch my legs. You and I both know we don't do well sitting still for too long."

Aka the three get about half way through their whole delegation of tasks before they realize Remus and Virgil are missing, looking around only to find the damn cave gate open(when it absolutely wasnt open like 10 minutes ago.) And familiar cackling remus laughter ringing out from inside.

Logan: "Remus?! Virgil?! How did you get inside?!"

Virgil: "...through the door?"

Logan: "The door that was Locked?!"

Virgil: "I mean, yeah? And I opened it? I had to use a little magic to convince the mechanism to unlock itself, but it was more tedious than anything. What are you freaking out about? Was I not supposed to???"

Janus, finding the relic and confirming with a quick once over before grabbing it and ushering everyone out of the cave immediately after: "You did a lovely job dear, absolutely unconventional."

Janus, quietly to Remus: "Remind me to consider magically brute forcing our way through first before we stick to the 'given way' of solving these trials. It's going to save us a lot of time if even half of these resolve under a bit of concentrated scrutiny from a powerhouse of a teenager with little to no concept of magic mastery scaling."

Au where Logan Patton and Janus are formally taught mages/magic users who learned from a young age to use ingredients, rituals, and spells to cast magic. Aka magic normies if u will

And Roman and Remus are informally taught mages/magic users who learned from a young age that their magic can be wild and trained but never fully contained. They cast with a constantly changing array of resources and are the kind of spellcasters that rarely ever cast magic spell the exact same way twice, regardless of the fact that it works regardless. Aka magic cowboys/hillbillies, if you will.

And then there's Virgil. The (begrudging) Chosen One. Bestowed with great magical power at like age 16.

One problem, Virgil was a normal kid before this, so. He's got No Training. At All. Somehow, This doesn't seem to interfere with just. Fucking casting magic at will. What are special casting ingredients? What are special spells? "What do you mean you can't just normally block a fire attack at will?? I have?? It's easy?? Your pulling my leg right Logan???" "I cannot express to you how much I am not even close to lying to you about that, Virgil."

Aka Virgils magic is close to broken levels of OP and his actual weaknesses involve teenage angst, spite, and hubris. The powers that be told him to go save the world, and he hunkered down in a bathtub, fully clothed, flipped the world the bird, and said "no." And. The powers that be cant actually revoke his powers now. Whoops.

The others are just glad to befriend this grumpy lump of shadowy teenage destruction with little pushback. (Virgil is a food motivated cat. No I will not elaborate.)

You casually walked into the living room, passing and trying to make it into the kitchen to make yourself some coffee before you blinked and did a double take as you peered back into the living room, there, out the window you saw Sunny, he was standing there, seemingly looking up toward the sky, he looked absolutely enamored with whatever he was seeing which made you raise a brow, you got curious, usually Sun was the one to wake you up, in fact he woke you up rather early on most days, and if you didn’t show any intentions of getting up then he said he’d go ahead and start making you breakfast which usually shot you out of bed immediately, you... You would NEVER and you meant EVER again let Sun near any kind of cooking, n... Not after... The Cooking Incident of 22... You shuddered upon remembering that day, the thoughts brought horrors upon you of which the likes you’ve never seen before so you quickly shook your head to dismiss them.

Before going outside to check on Sun since he seemed to be doing fine, he wasn’t running ...Er... Skipping off anywhere, and you had checked, a few times even while getting your coffee ready, he just stood there, looking absolutely fascinated up at the sky, you wondered what enamored him so much out there, after finally getting your coffee finished, you quickly poured some into a mug and then casually made your way outside, taking a sip of your coffee as you stepped out onto the front porch, you cringed a little upon feeling the cold wind against your face, well... Coffee be damned you supposed, so much for being warm, either way as Sun heard the front door open, he immediately spun his head all the way around, his body still staying in the same position, back faced toward you ...Okay, that was one thing you honestly didn’t think you could ever get used to but you tried not to focus on it, instead you smiled “Morning Sunny” You were still a bit tired but the coffee would be sure to help you.

The animatronic meanwhile was ever so cheerful, like he usually was, his rays spun around rapidly and his grin widened “Oh! Good morning my little sunbeam~! I hope you slept well! I saw you looked exhausted last night so I figured I would let you sleep in late! Granted you missed a beautiful sunrise but I just couldn’t bring myself to wake you” You smiled at that and chuckled even, taking a sip of your coffee before responding “Mm... I see the sun everyday you know, in my own house, you are my sunrise pretty much, considering how you wake me up at that time usually” Sun’s face was tinted red but he giggled nonetheless “I suppose you’re right, I am your little ray of sunshine, aren’t I?” You looked him up and down before sighing “...Well uh, I-I don’t know if little is the right term to use...” ...Sun was by no means little but he was taller than most humans anyways, he was literally ten foot (...listen i k n o w he has no canon height but i love tall animatronic lads so shush) so he towered over you and pretty much everyone around!

Sun nodded at that “A-Ah... I suppose you... ARE correct, sunbeam... Either way, I’m still your ray of sunshine~!” He exclaimed happily and you nodded at that, a small smile gracing your lips “What’cha lookin’ at by the way?” Sunny seemed excited that you had asked that and he pointed up to the sun ...The LITERAL sun mind you, you couldn’t necessarily look at where he was pointing for too long but you got the general gist of it and you sighed “...You’ve seen the sun so many times now, you’re still that amazed by it?” Sunny nodded enthusiastically “Of course I am! I mean... I-I know I’ve seen the sun multiple times by now, just like Moon has seen, well... The moon multiple times now but honestly? I don’t think we’ll ever get tired of it!” He admitted and then you thought back, after rescuing Sun and Moon from that terrible fire that burnt and closed down The Mega Pizzaplex, it made you realize... The first time you brought them home, they knew absolutely NOTHING outside of the Pizzaplex, nothing outside of the Daycare... They had never seen the actual sun, moon, nor even stars before.

This made you recall in fact, the very FIRST moment Sunny saw the actual sun, he was so enamored by it even back then, you remembered him asking over hundreds and hundreds of questions about it alone, and then... The first time Moon saw the actual moon, he said nothing unlike Sun, he stared up at it with a sense of appreciation almost, sure he had been upset just like the other about the Pizzaplex burning down but in a strange way, there was this weird sort of appreciation for it as well, after all... Had it not been for the fire as horrible as it may have been, they would have never gotten to live the life their living now, they would have never been able to see the sun, the moon, and the stars alike... ...They wouldn’t be able to spend moments like these with you, Moon loved seeing the actual stars and moon itself, just like Sun did with well... You know by this point, he didn’t ask as many questions but he was merely appreciating something in his own form, he appreciated things more silently than Sun did.

You remembered feeling sorry for them, not only for the fire that happened obviously but... You felt sorry for the both of them not being able to live life to the fullest, granted, their form of life and a human’s form of life is DRASTICALLY different, it is still life... And you really began to realize when they were both so confused on so many fronts, so nervous, so scared at first... You began to realize just how little they knew of the outside world, ever since then you had promised these boys that you would show them anything they wanted, so long as it was in your power, you would give them a proper life, one outside of the Pizzaplex, one outside of the Daycare, you made that very clear to them, they were not prisoners, they were not trapped within the confines of your home, they could wander as much as they wanted, the only thing you advised is to not wander until their batteries were completely drained which even THEY agreed on that front, but likewise, they were free to come and go as they pleased.

“Sunshine?” You blinked, getting jolted out of your thoughts when a hand fell upon your shoulder, this made Sun’s rays shrink a little “O-Oh! I’m so sorry! I-I-I... I didn’t mean to startle you! It’s just... O-Oh my...” You looked up at him, confused... His blue pupils stared down at you with much concern and then you realized, since you weren’t lost in your thoughts and memories anymore... You were shivering, and badly at that, your coffee had even grown cold and you cringed at the feeling now that you were aware of it “O-Oh jeez... I-It’s uh... It’s really cold... E-Even with the sun itself out h-huh...” Sunny nodded, before you knew it he pulled you close, grabbing your mug and setting it on the rail “...The actual sun itself may not be providing you warmth, but... I can~” He cooed, and then before you know it, you felt his body heating up, you remembered... He had a heating function, Moon did too obviously... They used it to help with sick children or when they got too cold in general, also it gave a sense of comfort despite them being metal, to feel warmth as if they were human... ...And it DEFINITELY gave you comfort, you practically melted into Sun’s arms upon feeling the heat.

Snuggling up to him as far as you could, he chuckled at this, his arms wrapped around you in a toon-like fashion it seemed, he kept you close, his warmth far outweighing the chill in the air and you smiled at this “Mm... Th-Thank you, Sunny...” Sun’s rays spun happily and he smiled, softly stroking your hair with his hand “No problem my little sunbeam, c’mon, let’s get you inside... I’ll be your warmth on this cold day in the sun” You somewhat chuckled at how silly that last bit sounded but you definitely didn’t mind, you let him scoop you up bridal style and carry you inside, yeah... You definitely didn’t mind Sun keeping you warm throughout the cold day ...And uh, you’d go back and get your mug from outside later, for now... You simply wanted to lay there in the other’s arms, in a warm blissful embrace.

Its been a wild ride believe it or not and i still want to slam my head directly at that one spikey bit of my but hey, slowly getting used to it ;v;. Good art days and bad art days come and go and today felt like a painting day so have this special little tidbit! Might go back to inking, might not, i just love playing with prompts. Just so y'all know cause i clearly forgot to mention: logan isnt gonna stay sad in this wip, he gonna get angie real fast >:)

Have a rough WIP gif of a sad glasses gay cause its nearly 5 am, my ipad is at 10% and my ipencil is dead, and unfortunately i still have to go to work later today! (Yay. /sarcasm)

But i tried out procreate’s animation feature, i still have my gripes about the brushes and how to use their settings to get what i want and whatnot, but i think this ones turning out okay for a first try in ages? (Funfact, this gif is 15 fps and so far has 51 frames. Wouldn’t you believe it that I’m just getting started? I’m wanting to animate his mouth when he yells too so that’ll be fun)
