ALL IS WELL. Where to begin? This happened yesterday. Nick and JJ fought over a race car. Nick pushed JJ. JJ hit some furniture and busted his upper lip. Upper lip swollen. A lot of screaming and crying downstairs. Toni decided to settle the matter upstairs. Told her brother to "go to Daddy and Nanay NOW." Toni narrated what happened and said, "This is on Nicholas this time." Jeff and I tried not to laugh with her exhibit of authority as JJ was clearly hurting. Nick sat on the bed with a poker face, refused to apologize to his brother. Jeff delivered Daddy speech. Didn't work with Nick. He had to face the wall but ran away. Jeff called him back. Another Daddy speech. More crying and Nick finally said he is ready to say sorry. He approached JJ. Kissed and hugged him. Toni told Jeff, "Now everything is OK." Toni approached her brothers, joined the hugging and told them, "Behave or else you'll get spanked by Dad. Do you hear me?" Chaos. I'm sooooo tired. Cleaning, cooking, giving baths, sweeping, washing, arranging... the chores never end. I do not know why I even made mashed potato from scratch and paired it with buttered beans and mushrooms. Thank you globalization for frozen salisbury steak from the US. Brought me back to my life in 2015 when the twins were two years old and JJ was a baby. Antoinette set the table while Nicholas swept the floor.
