You smile as you look around the third location of The Bubble Bea Beanery. What started as a cute quaint coffee and tea shop had turned into something so much more. Growing beyond your expectations. The new site was coming along perfectly. You didn’t even have to tell your assistant what you wanted, she just knew. It had the same vibe as the other two locations, but each store had its own unique spin and personality.
Your cousin yells your name as she slings the door open, and you turn to greet her. Spinning around in the store with your arms spread wide and the biggest smile on your face. You were so proud, “So we need to talk,” Chelsea starts off, without even a short sweet hello.
“About what?” Chelsea was always up to something, and always getting you in trouble.
“You know I love you, and I love what you’re doing here. The Bubble Bean is adorable.”
“But?” There was always a but. Especially with the way she had approached this conversation.
“You don’t have anyone to share it with.”
“Ugh,” you scoff, rolling your eyes as you head towards the storage room. Chelsea follows you, wanting to start speaking, but you cut her off, “Do you not think I haven’t tired? You act as if I hole up alone every night in my apartment. I don’t. I just don’t think there’s anyone worth my time. I would rather be single than settle, and…why are you smiling?”
“I did something stupid, but it paid off,” you open your eyes wide as you hold out your arms, glaring at her. “Why are you looking at me like that?”
“You are smiling, and you said you did something stupid. I’m not doing speed dating nonsense.”
“I’m not asking you to. I…I can’t proceed down this path without your consent.”
“No.”
“You don’t even know what it is,” she counters. Following you as you walk further away. Starting to pack up bags of coffee beans. “I’m trying to help you.”
“No.”
“But I want to help you.”
“Absolutely no.”
“Please, just hear me out,” sighing, you stop your movements and give her your undivided attention. “It’s not the best timing. And before you say anything, just listen. I know you’ve got the third store opening, and there’s still so much to do, but I signed you up for something.”
You roll your eyes because it was always something she was wanting you to do. Cousins, but also best friends. She found love early, and had children early. Now she wanted to live vicariously through you as you navigated trying to find someone that was worth having more than three dates with. “You were approved to go on The Bachelor.”
“Shut the fuck up.”
“The season you're on has a music producer named Nick Vaughan on it, and…”
“Shut up! The Bachelor? Like the show we have a FaceTime call every Monday night to watch?” Chelsea nods her head, and reaches into her pocket for her phone before she shows you a picture, “This is Nick?”
“Yep. And I know what you’re thinking…”
“He’s hot.”
“That is not at all what I thought you were thinking. But I’m going to shut up, you work it out in your head. Can I make a bubble tea?”
“No,” you groan, trying to think things through logically. What would it actually feel like to date a guy that was obviously dating twenty other women? To know that you weren’t the only person he was talking to. You wouldn’t be the only person he was spending time with. Was developing sincere feelings even possible? You enjoyed the show, but that didn’t mean you wanted to be on the show. That was a lot to think about.
“We’re on time crunch. There’s other girls that want to be on. And they chose you. I don’t know what the criteria is, and I’m not going to pretend to know, but The Bachelor with that hot guy. What do you have to lose?”
“I’m opening up a new store.”
“And Claudia has made all the decisions. You just told me that yesterday.”
“But it’s not open.”
“Claudia and you hired several new employees. Rick is going to test them on their coffee making skills. Babes, even though you’ve got a new store opening, you’ve got this down. It’s completely perfect. And you can do this. You can go on this stupid show and have fun. Maybe make out with a hot guy, and make your last boyfriend that lasted a total of three months, jealous. You could have that hot man make out with you on camera, and try and get it in. And every man that used the excuse that they weren’t in the right place in their life can swallow rocks while you fuck Nick.”
“You can’t do that. It’s what the fantasy suite is for,” it actually didn’t sound like a bad idea. It sounded fun. But could you trust everyone on your team to make this store happen?
“Okay, you get to travel, have fun, meet this incredibly hot guy, spend time with women exploring different locations, and then there’s this possibility of finding love. How bad could this be?”
“Why would you say that?” You ask, childishly stomping your foot. She knows how superstitious you are, and that was not necessary. “You have ruined everything now.”
“So does that mean you’re going to go?” Chelsea taps her knuckles on the cabinets three times before you ever nod your head yes. You were going to do it, but it was only to have fun.
Nick rubs his hand over his brows, scrunching his eyes. He is annoyed. “Why am I doing this again?”
“It’s good publicity,” Nick’s hand slaps down on the arm of the chair as he glares over at his manager. “You said you didn’t have time to date, and you weren’t into just sex. Here you go. You get to date twenty-six women at once.”
“Sounds exhausting.”
“And they all know that you’re dating all of them,” Nick rolls his eyes, settling back more into his chair. Dating around out in the open when you were the only male, and the women lived together, “Nick, it’s for a few weeks. What is the worst that could happen,” Nick’s eyes turn into saucers as he stares over at his manager, and Mickey taps his knuckles on the table beside him three times.
“Seriously? You know I hate sentences like that.”
“And I did your odd little ritual or knocking on wood three times. You signed the contract though. You’re doing it. Just have fun. Meet women. Enjoy yourself.”
Nick did not think he would enjoy himself. He thinks this show is going to be corny. The only thing he can hope for is maybe some fun. Maybe get to meet some attractive women. But he knows the drama is coming. He knows his normally private life is going to be exaggerated to make it look more exciting on television. Fake dates, and too many women; a lot could go wrong.
Nick looks out at the property of the mansion, shaking his head. The women are gorgeous. They seemed interesting, and first impressions aren't everything, but there was nobody he had met that he actually saw himself with. There could always be something more. But it was starting to feel monotonous.
Gorgeous women. And this was just speed dating. It is all it was. He says his hellos, nodding his head. He’s polite, and notices the camera. They all put on a show for him. They wanted him to remember them. And still they blurred together.
He looks over at the producers, giving them a curt nod as he sighs. “How long is this supposed to last?”
“You signed the contract,” a nameless, faceless producer reminds him.
“Right. Is that all of them?” He had been standing here for ages. When they shake their heads, he lets out a dramatic puff of air. “She’s late?”
“Yes. Her driver.”
Nick wants to fire the driver. “Is she the last one?” Another nod from the producer. This is what he didn’t like. Things weren’t in his control here when in real life they normally were. He was the director of things in the studio. He told other’s what to do. And now he was being controlled by people he didn’t know and a bunch of giggly women. He is already exhausted thinking about it.
“Finally,” Nick whispers as headlights shine on the damp pavement.
Pursing your lips, you exhale slowly as the car rolls into place. He looks annoyed. This was a terrible idea. He couldn’t even look at the car. The driver couldn’t find your location. You knew you were going to be the first to be sent home. You couldn’t even see his face. He was disinterested before even meeting you because of something beyond your control.
Grabbing onto the door handle, you pull the lever, and step out of the car. Nick’s head tips forward, and your eyes lock in with his crystal blue eyes. “Hey,” he says with a boyish grin.
“Hey,” you smile back. His pictures didn’t do him any justice. He is handsome, but it was so much more than that. There seemed to be a young mischievous quality about him. You give him your name, and he pulls up your hand up to his mouth, kissing over your knuckles.
“I’m Nick.”
“I know,” he hadn’t dropped your hand, and you had no intention of removing it. “I’m sorry. I’m nervous.”
“I was,” you clear your throat, looking down to the ground. It was too soon. You did not want to be the one saying you were in love the first night. “So…uh…what do you do?”
“I own a couple coffee shops. Putting up the third.”
“I love coffee. What’s it called?”
“The Bubble Bee Beanery,” Nick’s eyes somehow get brighter, and his smile widens. His thumb starts making shapes on the top of your hand, and you become even more nervous. Who was this man to get you to act like a school girl?
“You’re a New York girl?” Staring at him confused, you nod your head. “Upper East Side?”
“Yes,” your word drags out. Had he done some research on you ladies, and he just knew it was you.
“I love the Bubble Bee. My order is the Metropolitan. I don’t always get to go in there; my assistant gets it most of the time. I prefer the flagstone store. And…that’s yours? I’ll admit the bubble tea is not really my thing, but the coffee is top notch. Naming specialty drinks after parts of the city is cute. It’s just good coffee. Not too gimmicky. And you did this show for what reason?”
“To hopefully find love. Isn’t that why you signed up?” You couldn’t tear your eyes away from him, even if you wanted to. He still hadn’t quit touching you. His hand was steadily in your own.
“Yeah. Yeah, I did,” his eyes coast up and down your body, admiring every bit of your soft curves. You are surprising to him, in the best way possible. Not at all stuffy like the other girls. There was a playfulness. A soft quality. While everyone else was just trying to be sexy, you are being lighthearted.
“You should probably head in for cocktails.”
“Will I get to talk to you the rest of the night? Or are you going to mingle some more?”
“I have to mingle. But I definitely want to see you out in the garden. Just you and me. Bring a drink,” a producer beckons Nick over to him, and Nick runs his thumb and forefinger over his beard. Making you weak, and visioning sinful thoughts about him. Maybe this experience isn’t going to be too bad. And maybe you could at least have some fun. You did like what you were seeing.
It feels weird to be in a house of women that are looking at one guy. The same guy that you couldn’t keep your eyes off. The very man that you had to keep telling yourself that he was not locking eyes with you. He couldn’t be sitting on a couch with four other women, and his sight drifting to yours. That was most definitely not what was happening. Never.
Nick stands from the couch, giving each lady a nod before walking right over towards you, his hand going towards your free hand, “What are you drinking, bellissima?”
“Are you Italian?”
“Not that I’m aware of. But beautiful just seems a bit too cliche tonight. Bellissima has a spark. What’s in your cup?”
“It’s a whiskey sour.”
“Hmm,” he says with a grin, pulling your hand into his. “Follow me. Let’s get a bit of privacy.
Holding onto your hand, he leads you outside, and you hear whispers immediately. Could feel eyes stabbing in the back of your head. You were going to be talked about. You had seen the show enough that anytime a girl was pulled away from the group, everyone had something to say. You didn’t go to Nick, he came to you. Now you were a target.
He sits down, and pulls you right along with him. His arm wraps around you. “If we were here, I would have already taken you home.”
“What makes you think I would have followed you? I’m not that kind of girl, Nicholas.”
“Oh, she likes using the whole name when she’s calling me out. So, what kind of girl are you, Bella?” Your brow perks up, and you find yourself leaning slightly more into him. “I can’t go around calling you bellissima in front of the other ladies. They’ll get jealous. So, Bella, what kind of a girl are you?”
“Someone who wants a partner. I can do life by myself. I just want to enjoy life with someone. I don’t need a man, I want a man. Have our shared moments, create new memories, and have fun.”
“Well, this show is for marriage,” you’re not an idiot. You knew it was for marriage, and respond with a grin, and a slight nod. “Clearly, you want to be married, so that’s good.”
“And what about you? Is marriage something you’ve wanted?” There is something oddly liberating about not holding back with this line of questions. Both of you knew the end goal, and that was marriage. You didn’t have to go through months of dating only to realize he didn’t believe in marriage. Or waste your time because you were not the girl he wanted to marry, he had a different vision. It was always an excuse, but it was never you they wanted.
“I’ve always wanted marriage. I’m a bit of a hopeless romantic. I find women nowadays don’t align with what I want.”
“Oh,” he had to have a flaw. And here it was. He was going to tell you. He had a sick idea of a housewife that had no personality. Of course he had to have something wrong with him.
“I want…I think people see me as a way to meet celebrities. I want to be able to bring my girlfriend, or wife with me to parties, and events. I just don’t want her to run off with one of the artists I’m working with. They have the fame, and the adoration. I have the talent behind the scenes, why would they want me?”
“Why would they not?” He gives you a serene smile, but you know he’s been hurt. From the sounds of it more than once with a cheating girlfriend. “If someone is going to leave you like that, or cheat on you like that, they never loved you to begin with. It was a means to find someone else. I hate cheaters. I’ve never understood it. Just leave. Cheating hurts everyone involved, and nobody realizes that until it’s too late. Oh…”
You take a deep breath in as Nick’s nose touches your own. His cologne mixes with the beer he had been nursing, and it makes you dizzy. It isn’t until he pulls your drink out of your hand that you realize that your legs were laying over top of his. Things felt comfortable, and you had only met this man.
“I’d like to kiss you,” Nick’s lashes flutter on your cheek, and you want nothing more than to touch his lips with your own.
“You say that to all the girls here,” it was the first damn night, and every movement of your mouth has your lips brushing up against his.
“They’re boring. Let me kiss you,” you respond by puckering your lips and pulling him into you. You had told yourself that you wanted to have fun, and didn’t want to hold back. You didn’t believe you could find true love on this show, but getting to kiss a sexy man was worth it.
“She’s already kissing him,” Nicole says as she marches back to the other girls. “She’s going to be a problem. She’s a fast mover. She probably said something to him when they first met. He couldn’t take his eyes off her.”
“It’s the first night. She’s just trying to get a rose,” Holly sighs. Everyone was here for the same thing, and that was him. It sucks that she wasn’t the one to get a kiss, but she couldn’t fault you.
“No, they’re totally making out. It’s the first night.”
You have to pull away from Nick, gasping for air as you stare into those bright blue eyes. Noticing all the different shades that made up the color blue that was unique to him. “You felt it?” He whispers. “Don’t play games, Bells. I’m not. You’re getting the first impression rose. I’ve…I need some air.”
There was a difference with kissing him. Nothing had ever felt better. Nothing has ever even tasted better than his lips. His tongue. And there were cameras capturing it all. Even the tightness of his pants, and quick departure.
Jena grabs the card, squealing as she starts to open it, “Make sure you’re laser focused,” after she says your name with the other group of girls, you lose interest. You are going on a group date, with something that involves lasers, and you are getting to see Nick again.
“So is he a good kisser?”
“Hmm?” Looking up from your bland coffee, you stare at one of the nameless contestants. You couldn’t keep up. There were so many of them.
“You going to play innocent when Nicole saw you and Nick kissing. So was he any good?” You didn’t have to listen to this. You aren’t opposed to making friends, but the point of the show wasn’t them. It was him. “That bad or that good?”
“What do you want me to say? Nick and I kissed. I’ll admit to that, as to everything else it doesn’t matter. I’m going to get dressed for the date.”
“He left the cocktail hour. Barely talked to anyone. Maybe her kiss was the one that was so bad he couldn’t stand being around her.”
“She got a first impression rose. I don’t think it was a bad kiss.”
“And he still asked her for a group date.”
They weren’t slick, or quiet. No wonder there was always so much drama on here. You could hear everything. And you learned quickly that if you didn’t hear it someone would tell you what you missed. A constant trying to pit everyone against each other. It was going to be a long seven weeks. If you made it that far.
Laser tag. Of course that’s what the date card meant. And of course you being caught making out with Nick had everyone immediately wanting to go up against you. Not all could. You had to be put into teams. Your team got lucky, you’re an excellent shot.
“Oof!” You choke out as someone pulls you into a hidden alcove of the arena. Back slamming against the wall, and then the softest touch of his fingertips run down your side, “Nick, we can’t…”
“I had to see you. There’s never enough time with you. There’s no cameras here. And I can’t stay away. You feel it right?” Biting at your lip, you nod your head. Trembling as his hands grips to your hip. Fingers digging into your skin, while his thumb makes shapes on your stomach so tenderly. His hand rests on the wall beside your head, and you suddenly understand all those romance novels. This is the perfect angle for him.
“You’re getting a rose,” he informs you, biting at his lip. Unsure of whether this was part of the show or not, but you liked it.
“I don’t need you to tell me that.”
“I want to be open and honest with you about what I’m thinking. You’re getting a rose. You’re not going anywhere, and from how I feel right now, you’re not going anywhere anytime soon. I need you to stay and see where this goes. Kiss me.”
Shaking your head no, you pull him closer. Your hand drops the laser gun and you run you shaking fingers up his back, “You better kiss me, or I’ll make sure Nicole gets a good shot at you.”
“This is too fast,” was it the show or getting caught up in the feelings that made people fall so fast. When you watched the show you laughed at these women. Now you understand. You could see it happening, and feel it right before your eyes. It didn’t even feel free.
“So? This is not a normal way of dating. This is entertainment for millions, and this kiss is just for us. Kiss me like you wanted to last night. No cameras. No bullshit. Just…” your hand coasts to his neck, and you pull him into you. Slotting your lips on his, and the hand beside your head moves to the back of your neck, and he presses his weight into you.
Breathless isn’t even the word. It’s shocking. Lightning sparks through your veins when his tongue licks over your lips, and you grant him access. Whimpering in his mouth, and clinging to him so tightly. This wasn’t a normal first kiss. This was just the beginning of passion. Had this alcove had more room, you would have been pulling him to the floor.
Nick starts ghosting his lips down your jaw, settling on your neck, and gives you a tiny little nip. Rolling his hips into your body, “Nick, we can’t.”
“I want to.”
“I want to, too, but,” your words drown out as his mouth dips even lower on your body. “Nick, please.”
“I love that word coming out of your mouth,” you mewl as he kisses down your chest. Fingers weaving through his hair. “My god, Bella…”
“Stop. Stop stop,” he stands up immediately, staring at your kiss bruised lips. “They already hate me.”
“I saw the footage. It seems to just be a couple that hate you.”
“I watch the show. I know how girls can be. Just…I like this, but we have a contract. And not all of us want to buy ourselves out of it. This was fun.”
“Maybe, we’ll do it again?”
It was cruel. Having to follow someone else’s rules, and not just your own. They weren’t even Nick’s rules, but the studios. “You know where to find me,” you playfully answer, and his eyes drift down your body as you begin to leave.
“I’ve got a rose just for you,” and let the games begin.

Nick Vaughan X Reader Series
Take Me Home | Part 1: Meet Cute
A/N: Ooft... did this take a while! I am so sorry for the delay for my love @atoosa22 but i hope you enjoy the first part of what is sure to be a very fluffy (and soon to be smutty) series. ☘️😘
“Yeah mom, of course, uh-huh... yeah I’m heading home now… yes… it’s freezing here.” You pulled your keys out of the lock of your workplace, holding your phone between your shoulder and cheek as you listened to your mothers worries and concerns knowing she stood halfway across the world powerless while you were alone in the big city.
But there was no such thing as being alone in New York, all the sounds, the lights, the people. It never slept. But you certainly did.
3am and all you could think about is your nice, warm fluffy bed at home.
“Yeah mom, ok well I gotta go… I love you have a good day!”
You hung up, slipping your phone into your pocket. Tightening your coat around you, noticing the misty cloud that appeared when you breathed out. Fiddling with your keys in your hand, manoeuvring the teeth of the metal between your knuckles (just in case).
It was a 20-minute walk back to your apartment. What could happen in the 20-minute direct route to your apartment? 20 blocks. 20 minutes. Head forward. Shoulders back. One foot in front of the other.
Stragglers lined the street; sleeping homeless people, drunk patrons who have called it a night and a few bold individuals walking their dog.
You’re not alone. Never in New York.
You reached block 12 of your journey. With the building above it under construction a makeshift tunnel of plasterboard and wooden beams was your path. Poorly lit by a singular low functioning flood light above but with the rest of the street cut off, it was your only option.
The sound of your boots on the floor was drowned out by the sound of drunk male laughter. “Not every drunk man is a bad man” you thought as you followed the sound hoping to make it to the other side unfazed.
The tunnel was narrow, and the group of men took up most of the path, leaning against the walls, huddled in a group. Taking in a shaky breath you approached them, eager to pass without being perceived.
“Hey pretty girl where you going?” Mission failed as the man snarled at you. You bowed your head, suddenly becoming interested in the tips of your shoe that was until the presence of another matched you toe to toe.
He had blocked your path, forcing you to look up. “Hey when a man’s talking to you, you respond.” His voice was louder this time, agitated. You had heard it many times before in men. Angry men. Men who always got their way by force.
You clenched your fist around your keys, feeling the keychain make indents on your skin. The man had an audience, and he wasn’t going to relent.
“Why don’t you smile a little…” His hand edged towards your face but shot away suddenly at an echo from behind you.
“Baby hey why you walking so fast!” A man came up beside you, wrapping his hand tightly around your waist.
“Excuse me guys.” He gave a firm shoulder nudge towards the man in front of you, pushing him the side. Frozen in fear you let him lead you towards the exit.
You both walked in silence to the next block, far gone from the narrow tunnel.
“Thank you.” You finally let out.
“Oh, foreign that explains it.” He mutters. The fear in your body had now left, replaced with annoyance.
“What’s that supposed to me?” You pushed out of his grip around your waist. Now face to face with the man who technically saved your life.
He looked down on you, while a little wayward in appearance, he was tall and handsome a scruffy beard curving around a strong jaw. Even with layers he looked as though he packed a decent bit of muscle, enough to push your average creep down if needed.
“It means anyone whose actually from New York knows that when you look like that you shouldn’t be walking around it at 3am.” He spits, cocking his head to side in a condescending manner.
“For your information, I’ve done that walk many times since I moved here and that has never happened. And since when is it a woman’s responsibility to reconfigure their whole lives so creepy assholes don’t have a chance to take advantage of them?”
“That’s not what I meant.” He pinched his eyebrow in frustration.
“Well thank you for very much again and I hope you enjoyed your knight in shining armour moment.” You continued to walk, leaving behind your handsome saviour.
“Hey wait.” He jogged up behind you. You stopped in the middle of the sidewalk.
“God you do walk fast don’t ya?” His joke was met with your scowl.
“Let me at least walk you the rest of the way home?”
“Oh so you can know my address and then break in and kill me?” You scoffed.
“I would of been happy with a cup of thank you coffee.” He rubbed his neck, smirking at you.
“I don’t even know your name and you want to come back to my apartment?” You looked at him like he had two heads.
“Well, it’s Nick, and if that’s not good enough its Nick Vaughan born 14th of June 1981. Professional failing trumpet player, full time adored son, part time knight in shining armour, and my social security number is 79-.”
You put your hand up to stop him “Ok ok I get it you’re not a murderer.”
“Hey you cut me off at the best part!”
“Oh really?”
“I’m also the guy who makes sure a pretty girl who just had to deal with a drunken creep gets home safe.”
You pursed your lips inward to hide the smile threatening to come up as he called you pretty.
“Fine.” You let out.
“Wait a minute…” He stepped closer, holding out his pointer “What if you’re…” His finger threatening to push past your coat and touch the exposed skin of your chest. “The murderer.”
“Y/N, foreigner, passport holder of [your country], professionally [dream job] but also full time, loving daughter and occasional victim of drunken creeps.”
He thought for a moment, looking up at the skyscraper above him “Yeah that checks out.”
He held out his elbow, edging you to thread your hand in it. You looked at his arm in confusion.
“You’re cold I promise it’ll make you feel better.”
You were cold and his strong arm was inviting and with your limited experience of his arms around you, you knew that you liked it and it wouldn’t hurt to be able to savour the feeling this time. You begrudgingly slid your hand through.
Nick: “Is it rude to ask why you are walking home this late?”
Y/N: “Pushing it but if you must know I was closing at work.”
Nick: “Alone? They make you do it alone?” His voice laced with concern.
Y/N: “I’m not 15 so yes, they make me, an adult women close up shop at the end of the day.”
Nick: “Remind me not to start questioning the independence of a clearly very strong-minded woman.”
Y/N: “You learn quick, too bad you seem to be 30 years too late.”
Nick: “3 sisters, so excuse the natural instincts.”
Y/N: “Fair enough.”
Nick: “How do you drink coffee from where you’re from?”
Y/N: “In a mug.”
Nick: “Funny.”
Y/N: “I know. Now my turn.”
Nick: “Shoot.”
Y/N: “Why are you walking alone this late?”
Nick: “I’m a musician.”
Y/N: “Yes, but not a vampire so…”
Nick: “Most gigs are at night as well as drunk people are more likely to give up their cash.”
Y/N: “So, you’re a hustler?”
Nick: “I prefer the term opportunist.” He smirked at you.
“This is me.” You motioned towards the front step of your building.
“It’s pretty late-”
“I should let you go-”
You looked at each other, letting out soft laughter.
"Thanks for walking me home. I guess I owe you that cup of thank you coffee."
Nick grinned. "I'll hold you to that. How about tomorrow morning?"
"Sure, why not?" you replied, surprised by your own eagerness.
"But you're buying, you know struggling musician and all."
"Fine.”
"Goodnight, [Your country]."
“Goodnight, Nick.”
As he walked away, you couldn't help but feel a flutter in your stomach. Opening the door to your apartment, your back hitting the door as you slid to the ground, grinning like an idiot.

Sometimes We All Need A Fun Adventure- Chris Evans shy!xreader fan fic
Summary: Y/N lives in new york and is over stressed and decides to get on the train for the heck of it and runs into Chris and they have a fun adventure
Warnings: angsty, fluffy, a bit of swearing, mentions of feeling stressed and overwhelmed
~Y/N’s POV~
Ok so I'm not really one for spontaneous adventures but I've been at home the last few hours paying bills and overthinking things sitting in my sweats. I decided to get up and go change my clothes and walked down to the train station and got on a train and rode for a while to get out of my head. I later realized how far I rode from home and I got off at the next station the train stopped at and looked at my phone to see if there were any good food places and I didn’t see where i was going and I bumped into someone and fell over and they said “hey oh gosh I’m sorry are you ok miss?” I looked up said “yea I’m ok.. oh my god.. you! hi..” I got up and he helped me to stand a bit and said “ you sure you’re ok there?” I nodded smiling at him nervously and said “yea I’m alright it was my fault I was staring at my phone, you’re Chris Evans right?” He smiled and said “I am yes, do I get your name?” I looked around and looked back at him shyly and said “it’s Y/N, it’s nice to meet you Chris. Do you know any good restaurants around here? I’m kinda far from home..” Chris looked around and got his phone out and said “well there is a really good sandwich place a few blocks over if you’re up for a walk?” He held his hand out to me and I was a bit nervous but I gave him my hand and we started walking and I told him why I was out so far from home and I felt so comfortable even though I felt shy as hell.
~Chris’s POV~
Damn here is this beautiful sweet girl next to me telling me about her life and I can’t stop smiling at her. We got to the sandwich place after walking for a good twenty minutes and I found us a table and said “here sit down, I’ll order the food for us, what would you like hun?” Y/N looked at the menu and said “hmm.. can I have a turkey and cheese sandwich please?” I gave her a thumbs up and said “you got it coming right up.”
~Y/N’s POV~
Chris and I took our time with lunch and he told me stories and we had such a good time that none of looked at our phones the whole time. We threw everything away and started to walk around just kinda roaming around and i started to get in my head again and I felt anxious but didn’t wanna have Chris see me like that so I tried to act normal but he noticed how I was feeling and he stopped us from walking further once we got to a bridge. Chris had us sit down on a bench and I just stared out at the lake and Chris said “hey Y/N wanna tell me what you’re thinking sweetheart?” I looked back at him and seeing him smile already made me feel better and I shrugged and said “I deal with anxiety Chris.. but its nothing I can’t handle.”
I walked up to the bridge to look at the water and Chris came to stand next to me and looked out at the water and put his hand on mine and said “hey, what’s on that pretty mind of yours?” I blushed and said “I’m sorry.. here I am with a great guy keeping me company and here I am in my head barely talking..” Chris turned me to face him and lifted my chin up so I’d look at him and he said “hey Y/N it’s ok I can tell you’ve bern dealing with a lot and sometimes we all need a fun adventure to get our minds off everything, just know you’re not alone Y/N.” I smiled at Chris and his hand on mine and I realized how I felt about him. I moved closer to him and said “and what if.. I don’t want whatever this is to end?” Chris cupped my face in his hands and leaned in to kiss me and he said “neither do I sweetheart, I really like you and I’m not going anywhere I promise you.”
We stood there hugging each other for a bit longer and it started to get cold and Chris smiled at me and gave me his jacket and said “here lets get you home.” We walked back to the train station and I started to walk towards the train but then I turned around and went to kiss Chris and leaned my forehead against his and said “thank you for the wonderful day Chris, I can’t wait for our next adventure.” Chris hugged me tight and said “we’ll be in touch soon sweet girl I promise, get home safe.” I got on the train and waved to him until he was out of view still in shock that I was now dating my favorite person.
Hey lovelies!! So this fic was inspired by the beautiful movie Before We go 😊♥️♥️ hope you all enjoy xx

Ooh this is interesting!
Okay so my fellow costar is:
And the title of the movie is:
Okay I’m obsessed with this combination! It would be a second chance romance story, based in the city, of two childhood sweethearts that grew up in a small town but bump each in the city and spend just one night together rekindling their romance and discover that even though they ‘moved on’ they never stopped loving each other 💙
Just picture it: finding an old school arcade that is playing their favourite song, they’d share headphones as they took the subway together, and the movie end in his apartment eating breakfast together on the sofa bed 😍😍😍
No pressure tags: @anika-ann @chase-your-dreams-away @sweater-daddiesdumbdork @undutchable11
NO CHEATING: You’re starring in a movie with the last person saved in your camera roll and the last song you listened to is the title. Who/what is it?
Thanks for the tag @mattmurdocksscars !
NP Tagging: @stress--relief @marvelswh0re @frankcastlescumslut @anna-hawk @castlesnchurches @chelseasdagger
#i might actually have to write this fic because damn i love it#I’m thinking maybe nick Vaughan#he just fits late night adventures in the city#tag games#Spotify

Dayton looks over your body, half of it on full display, minus the top of your butt crack down. You were adorable with your face squished into his pillow, sleeping soundly. He walks a cup of coffee over to the bedside table, and wanders back into the living room. There was another meeting today, and while he should wake you up, you looked peaceful. You were not used to constantly being on like he was.
He takes a sip from his own mug, waiting for his ever prompt team to burst through the door without knocking while he watches his back yard. It was pretty minus the security fence around the property. Remembering times when he didn’t have to be so secluded from the word. When people weren’t trying to get a glimpse of his everyday life. He didn’t know how to get back to that time.
Doug and Ray walk directly into the living room, eyes moving around, and even Ray steps into the kitchen. Preparing his own cup of coffee while simultaneously looking for you, “We’re missing a very integral part of this operation. Did you already piss her off again?”
“No,” Dayton slurps on his coffee looking at the men, “She’s sleeping. Let her sleep,” Doug gives him an odd look before walking down the hallway towards your room. Opening the door, and then laughs at Dayton.
“What?”
“Well, that didn’t take long, did it? She’s just like every other girl. Ready to jump on your cock. I mean, we’ve all seen the leak. You’re quite impressive. But the fact that you’re able to get them to actually fall for you is the real mystery. They’re with you for a few weeks and realize that your cock is about the only thing you have to offer. You’re not your characters.”
Ray clears his throat as you walk out of Dayton’s bedroom, a bit more disheveled than you usually were. But dressed, and holding your mug close to your mouth. “Doug, you’re very much aware that I don’t like you, right?”
“Dayton doesn’t pay me to be liked. He pays me to make sure the media is in his favor. Just remember the image you see is perfectly curated for general audiences. That young girl, we hid his indiscretions with her by using you. Much more age appropriate and easier for the public to stomach. Don’t act like you’re special here,” it was almost as if Doug didn’t care about his client. Just cared if his client was making money so he could be paid.
“I actually know Dayton behind the scenes. I’ve seen the real him.”
“He shows you what he wants you to see,” you raise a hand to him, ready to slap his pompous cheek, but Doug catches it. “You’re just like the rest. But you’re getting to live here. Getting the private jets, the engagement rumors have already been put out with confirmation from an anonymous source. Don’t get attached to an actor,” a maniacal laughter exits his mouth, and you’re even more disgusted. Trying to pull your arm away from him.
“Now, we need to discuss your next outing,” changing the subject, he drops your hand and marches to the table. Grabbing up a bag, and pulling out his laptop. “We’ve got to sell this relationship.”
“It’s sold,” annoyed, you sit down at the furthest seat from him. Hoping that Dayton would eventually speak up on your behalf, or even his own. But instead he sits there ready for Doug’s plan, like a good obedient client.
“Why are you trying to sell something so bad? It’s like this constant filtering of proof we’re together. There’s been no organic sightings, just your paid photographer who flips through the pictures and sells the best ones. It’s an old trick that needs to stop. You continue down this route it’s just going to look like a forced relationship you’re using to bury something else. Oh, you are, aren't you?”
Ray looks over at you with a big smile. Bouncing his legs up and down, “See, I told you, Doug. The fan base is getting tired of these PR stunts. And it’s just too quick. You want them to believe that Dayton has had a secret relationship for…what’s the damn timeline again? It keeps changing and I can’t keep up. You’ve got your sources going to too many outlets, and even they can’t keep the story straight.”
“Because concrete answers lead to mistakes. If we keep changing this timeline, there’s nothing to argue about the relationship because no one knows for certain. We also haven’t confirmed anything officially. We keep official statements away until this contract is up,” you dramatically roll your eyes because he was completely clueless. It was his job to sell something and he was failing. “What would you suggest then shooting Star?”
“If you want to sell this, social media posts are a direct link from Dayton, myself, and the fans. It can be in a neutral location. But a candid photo of us together, cuddled up, or in the background of someone else’s photo. You’re trying too hard for something that should be simple. And the timeline is confusing. You want to convince people it’s real or made up?”
“Off and on for a year and half,” Dayton says quietly, and everyone turns to look at him. “That picture, the first one. It dates back to the Oscars over a year ago. Fans clocked the suit immediately. That picture has done better than these pap walks. She’s not wrong. And that wasn’t even from an official source. You sent it to various blogs and fan accounts. That’s what sold the relationship. Not the painfully obvious force feeding you’re doing now. I start the movie tomorrow. Ray, you just be ready with your phone. Star, you come to set. It’s that easy. Now, are we done here?”
Doug taps his fingers on the table a moment before closing his computer. Making sure to glare over towards you. He knew you were right. Nobody looked at Dayton’s fandom as much as Doug’s team. The relationship was turning unbelievable quickly, and he was to blame.
“Fine, you two think you can sell this relationship? Prove it. There will be no official statement from either of you. It makes the breakup easier. You can slowly fade away into the background once again, Star. You can live your normal life.”
“Except I can’t. Unless it’s another Hollywood celebrity. No one will want to touch me. I’m only doing this because you set it in motion without my consent. Now, I’m trying to make sure I don’t look like a fool for being in a fake relationship with Dayton White.”
“Call time is four in the morning. Make sure you arrive on time,” you shake your head no, laughing at him. “Excuse me?”
“I’m not his makeup artist for this shoot, remember? I’ll arrive around lunch break and bring my boyfriend, possibly fiancé, some lunch instead of him eating from craft service. Remember, Dougie, I’m doing you and your client a favor,” Doug hated that you were not as easy to manipulate as Dayton. He was never particularly fond of you, but trying to control you was even worse. You just wanted things your way. He just hoped you wouldn’t screw up Dayton’s career, and by default his money. He wouldn’t stand for it.
“I thought your new girlfriend was coming today?” Nick looks around the set looking for you. “How did you two meet?”
“She is my makeup artist. She’s actually on her way. You sure you don’t mind her sitting in today? She’s a bit of a perfectionist, and she didn’t do my makeup. Knowing her, she’ll be dragging her kit in here, and ready for touch ups.”
“Sounds about right,” Nick answers nonchalantly, making himself a plate. Dayton didn’t fully pay attention to the comment, and hungrily looks at the table of food, “You going to eat?”
“Uh, no. She’s bringing me lunch,” Dayton suddenly gets a genuine smile, and he leaves Nick’s side immediately as he turns to walk towards you. “I thought I told you not to bring that,” he complains, looking down at your makeup kit.
“I’m glad I did. Dayton, they…your base is the wrong color. Also the wrong formula. You don’t wear oil based formulas. Water based looks best on you, and more natural. I can’t even see any of your natural freckles, people love that about you. And it’s gunked up in your facial hair. And…peach blush? We’ve talked about this a bit of a red cream blush, under the foundation so it makes you look sunkissed. I told you to tell them that. What powder did they use? And concealer? It’s caking up on you, and…” you look behind Dayton as Nick gives you a little wave, and your mouth closes immediately.
“Dayton, why is Nick Vaughan here?”
“Ah, let me introduce you,” pulling your free hand he leads you over to Nick. Nick looks at you bashfully, and licks his lips. “Star, this is Nick, the new director, and Nick this is…”
“We’ve met,” he holds out his hand anyways, and you take it for a quick shake, but drop it too quickly. “Interesting to see you dating Dayton. I thought you didn’t like the Hollywood type?”
“Maybe it wasn’t just Hollywood that I didn’t like? Maybe it was arrogant directors?”
“Oh, dear. Nick, would you excuse us?” Dayton drags you away from Nick, leaving behind your kit. It didn’t matter where you went, because Nick was still looking towards you smiling. “I’m going to make this quick, because I’m starving, but…you and Nick?”
“This is why I have an open invitation on set because Nick is the director? I can stay all day sitting beside him? Son of a bitch. Why didn’t you say anything?”
“What is going on?”
“Nick…he’s my ex fiancé. Ugh,” you press your fingers into your eyes and try to collect your thoughts. You thought you were never going to have to see Nick again, and here you were essentially being forced to be here, so that Ray could get some candid photos. “Hug me.”
“What?”
“Hug me, comfort me,” Dayton grimaces as he wraps his arms around you, “Dayton, you have literally been inside of me, and this is the best you can do? You’re a fucking actor. Hug me.”
“What are we doing?” He was so confused. He was slowly learning just to trust you in all of this because your instincts did actually make sense. “Star?”
“Shh, so Nick and I broke up because he got his first big movie, and he got this giant big head. The whole not dating Hollywood types isn’t completely untrue. But it was mostly because he wasn’t the Nick that I fell in love with. You know, it’s complicated, but you could have told me Nick was the new director.”
“I didn’t even know you were engaged. You…was this public knowledge?” You shake your head quickly, and turn to look up at him. Whispering ‘kiss me’ as you stare up at him. His hand slides behind your head, and he pulls you in close for a sweet kiss. Had you been a normal woman, you would have almost believed him. The way he pulls back and rubs his thumb over your lips was a nice gentle touch, but you push that aside, because you were both acting. Dayton couldn’t be capable of real emotions.
Ray steps up to you, letting Dayton know he had very little time to eat before they were back to working, and you hand him his lunch. He preferred to eat in private, and you were left awkwardly standing around with Ray and Nick. “I have a few phone calls to make,” Ray steps away from you.
“So, you actually are dating America’s sweetheart, huh? To be honest, I saw all those headlines, and just assumed it was a tactic to cover up his barely legal taste in women. Then again, Dayton has this weird ability to make people believe things. You know he’s cheated on you?”
“We weren’t exclusive. You and me, we were. I had a ring on my finger, and you had the taste for your leading lady. You want to blame the breakup on just me not liking Hollywood, and I went along with it. But let’s not pretend that you casted people based on who would give the best blowjob. People in the circle talk, Nick. I loved you. And you disappointed me. I have kept your secret of cheating because you asked me to not screw up your career.”
“So it is a fake relationship?” He laughs, shaking his head, “I knew it. I know the look when you’re in love because…because I’ve seen it. And I can’t ever get it back, can I? You’re riding out this whatever it is with Dayton. I guess you really were the problem.”
“What is that supposed to mean?” You demand. Following him as he walks away and sits in his director’s chair. “Nicky?”
“It was after I proposed that you started pulling away. You’re scared of commitment. That’s why the woman I know is in a fake relationship, a fake engagement. Alienating everyone else around you. It’s better to pretend than have something real, and work for it. Things get serious, and you have a tendency to run away. Why is that?”
“You forget, you cheated on me.”
“You weren’t the same after I proposed. Each day you grew more distant. I searched for attention in other people, and it was wrong. I can admit that. But throwing yourself into your new client, Dayton, and saying that you couldn’t be around, and maybe we should just wait on the marriage wasn’t an accident either. Face it. You were too scared that we wouldn’t work out, so I made the decision for you. I should have just ended it, and that’s on me. But I knew it would be easier for you to accept if you had someone to blame. I took the fall for that.”
“Don’t act like you did me a favor, Nick. You cheated.”
“Once, it was wrong. You were already on the road, and you had texted me that we needed to talk. You were breaking up with me, weren’t you?” Groaning, you nod your head. Nick always had this weird ability to read you, and that’s what scared you. He was far from perfect, but he was caring. He was understanding, and he just always got you.
“I can’t do this right now.”
“No, you’ve got to smile for the cameras and make them believe that you’re really with Dayton. You can live this fake fairytale narrative that you had in your head, and still have this heart of stone, pushing everyone out of your life because you don’t want to be vulnerable.”
“I have never said that Dayton and I are in a fake relationship.”
“You didn’t have to,” you wanted to hate Nick. Wanted to not care about what he thought about you, but you did. He was the closest thing that you ever came to letting go of your insecurities. You had never allowed someone that close to you before, but then the engagement happened, and you realized how real it was, and how you didn’t want to hurt Nick in the long run when you would eventually leave him.
At one point you believed that Nick had loved you more than you ever loved him, until you found out about the ‘cheating’. Then you convinced yourself that Nick had been lying all along, but now…you weren’t so sure. You wanted things to be easy, but they never really were. Maybe that’s why you were okay deep down with hiding behind this fake relationship. You were getting the perks, without the feelings involved. You didn’t have to be vulnerable because it was all fake anyways.
You look over at Nick, and he was still just as handsome as you remembered. Still had this kind smile that made you melt, and want to giggle right along with him. Nick’s romanticism terrified you. He was too sweet, too caring, too understanding, and it felt stifling. Like he was always smothering you with good intentions and a healthy relationship. He was better off without you, just like you were better off without him. The only problem was when you should have been paying attention to Dayton walking back on the set, you were still looking at Nick.
You didn’t see the slight fallen face of Dayton. You hadn’t made that face when you were looking at him. Even when Nick looks back at you smiling. Giving his body a warmup shake, he pushes it aside. It didn’t matter. He had to work, and you were coming home with him. You would be in his bed again tonight, no doubt, and you would be gripping onto his back and screaming his name. At least he had a live in sexdoll, and that’s exactly what he had to tell himself. Because he had to focus, and he didn’t like Nick looking at you. He wouldn’t be eating alone anymore. He would be staying with you whenever you were on set. You got too comfortable with Nick, and there was more to your breakup than you had told him.

Wow i'm glad you do. For Nick Vaughan i want to ask for a fluff. (i never say no to smutt by the way :) ) Reader came from another country to new york. They met while reader is walking at the city at night. They start dating and fall so hard for each other. They decide to movie in in a small apartment which is a safe, sweet home to both. The first one that they have❤
Also, a request that is deserving of multiple parts! 🥰

Summer wedding Part 6 (epilogue not not really I'm continuing it) would LOVE comments
Reposts and COMMENTS are welcome and appreciated. You do not have my permission to repost, publish or translate
Warnings: fluff. Angst, mentions of air plane crashes death, divorce, wedding planning and Duh Ari
"Ari" she was surprised to see him there only because the two of you haven't spoken in she doesn't know. Her first instinct for some reason is to look for Nick, her partner in crime, but then she took a breath she isn't the same Person Ari doesn't grace her like he once did. He doesn't make her feel small like that anymore. He didn't always but she did want to face him and frankly he looked off. She motioned to the side and there was a nice garden
"I wanted to say congratulations" he couldn't help but look at her in a white dress that hugged her curves just so with daisy cutouts in-between that started with a blush pink
"Nice color" Ari thought, fading to a white that one would never know there was day cut outs unless one was standing this close and paying this much attention. He may never know that Nick was the one who picked it out, who going to look at tuxes he saw the dress and bought in her size. She loved it. But that was Nick. That Nick not ari that did that.
"Thank you"
She paused for a moment and then gave him a hug wrapping my arms around his neck for a moment and sighed before she let go.
She knew Nick wouldn't get jealous and it had been too long they had things that went unsaid that needed to be well, said
"Look about how things ended it wasn't right im sorry.
"No I am it was. It was..." he swollowed hard "I'm just glad your happy."
I could tell me wasn't not completely but thats life.
"So how are things,"
"Good things are good. Maya misses you."
"Tell her I said hi."
There was a beat
"You don't give her the right candy do you?"
"No " he threw his hands up and I couldnt help but chuckle. "Just let her pick it out from party city itll save time and you'll know for next time."
"I tried getting what used to eat but-"
"She likes the stuff she can't get there. That's the whole point." I laughed.
"This is nice fancy"
"Thanks Nick parents are throwing it.
What's he do again?"
"Musican and manages an apartment building."
"Interesting.
"Off, my ass" I shouldn't even fallen for that again. His hands go into his noticeably tight front pockets even
"Look when we were together I know I used to send you texts to make sure you were ok and I never meant to try and be controling or know where you are to be an ass but with my job I you never stop worrying that someone will take someone you love and -
I understood. Let me guess last girlfriend didn't did you you didn't I guess couldn't just run around and tell everyone you date you're an assasin."
"You believed me"
"Well honey," she scoffed "you told me when we were in Israel are you took me into mossad headquarters kinda makes it look legit not to mention you arranged for a fake passport without telling for there oh and also lets not forget about the what to do if you get kidnapped handbook puts an elegant stamp on things."
"It wasn't a how survive kidnapp mannual:
"Ari half the things in there started with keep your kidnapper calm."this banter was smooth for them familiar...comfortable.
"Most girls would have run for the hills. But not you."
"Well I was stuck in Israel and I dont know those hills. Plus you would have found me."
"I would have always found you" Ari thought through thr slightly uncomfortable but-not-as-uncomfortable-as-they-thought-t-would-be moments of silence as they walked around the garden
"You can stay if you want. We have room."
"It's ok I just wanted to congratulate you."
"You want to say hi to Nick?"
He shook his head no. Ari truely looked sad. He look down and away as she rolled my eyes at the big bad assain.
"If your targets could see you now Come on " she shook her head. Nick appeared out of no where.
" Nick" Ari couldn't miss how her eyes lit up for her fiance....he remembered with longing how they used to do that for him.
"you remember Ari, he came to congratulate us." They shook hands with curt looks. She was hoping her hand on Nick's back was soothing him. He never liked Ari. She motioned for a server to come with drinks.
There was a crash while they all looked and she saw Ari jump a bit. She directly saw him juml "He never jumps." She thought.
"It was just silver ware but the event planner was motioning for the bride and she was torn. "Um" she looked at Nick.
"Play nice."
"You're leaving, soon." Nick stated
Ari shook his head.
Change of P.O.V
I came back. Looking at the two of them.
"Well at least no one is bleeding. That's a good sign."
"I need to go."
"I'll walk you out."
Nick's hand runs down my arm to my hand and I turn to see his smile and I smile back at him.
Ari goes to open the door and I close it.
"What's going on?Ari you jumped you never jump. What happened."
"Nothing long flight."
How he is a spy I will never know.
"Try. Again. Do I need to know something? Or should I just go get Rachel she's in the other room."
He looked a mix of confused and worried and could it be- no just concern.
"No, I everything's fine. I just had to see for myself."
"This?"
He nodded. " I'm leaving for Isreal."
Far to get away from an ex's endgament but ok....
"You'll find someonr Ari so it wasn't me. You'll find her. Stop trying so hard. "
He nods
"You're good man itll happen." I rubbed his back
"Tell Maya I said hi. And give her a hug for me."
"Will do"
And if you're ever in the city one day a d she wants to see the dinosaurs ill go with her."
"What you two like about those dusty bones I'll never get."
He was almost completely over the threshold when I grabbed his arm.
"Milkyways. She loves milkyways and paydays and 100 grands anything with carmel. Her mother doesn't let her eat Carmel."
He looked me up and down slowly With remorse. He really way saying goodbye.
"Bye" he leaned in for a kiss on the cheek.
"Bye."
Three days later I'm looking at news on my phone and it come up that a few body's were found from a wreck of an Israeli airplane with one of them being a New York teacher which is why NBC was reporting on it but no....couldn't be..... he no he went back before. Right. Would Maya be with him? He didn't say....
"Honey what's wrong"
"There was an airplane crash"
"That's horrible."
"Yea a teacher from the city was in it but it was in isreal ari was going back you don't think I'm sure Maya's fine. I'm just Ari sometimes went with her but there want anything about kids. I mean I don't even know where-."
"Only you would worry about an ex's kid."
"Well Nick it was a horrible custody fight. And I wasn't always allowed in the court room with him and she definitely was God forbid her mother leaves her at home so we played battleship for candy outside. That kid had a thing for strategy didnt even have to let her win. I could never even get one hit. "
Nick was laughing
"Are you- why are you laughing at me?"
"Because a 7 year old beat you at battle ship. How many times."
"Shut up" I playfully hit him with a pillow from the couch he returned the playfully gesture.
Nick thought back to his discussion with Ari
No one knows about her but
Shell be safe regardless. I've always kept her safe especially from you.
Look I've apologized 10 times what more do you want.
You. Out.
"I came to say goodbye. That's all" ari wasn't thrilled with Nick's tone. But there was nothing he could do. He made his bed. Time to burn it.
"You have. You're leaving, soon."
Nick stated
Ari shook his head
You talked to Ethan?
Yes my great uncle called me.
A week later a postcard came in the mail
I stood there looking at it. The simple message. Barely a senatance.
"Hon whats wrong?"
"Nothing. Just a post card from an old friend."
Three words but I read it over and over and I knew it had to mean something else but I didn't know what.
"I'm sorry. -Thomas."
Everything ok.
"Yea. Just yea. Ok I cant figure it out."
"I'm sorry."
"So what he do cheat on you?"
"Wha-why do you think I dated everyone?"
"Because who wouldn't want to."

Preview: Autumn in New York
A Nick Vaughan x ofc mini fic
Status: complete
Fic info & Moodboards
Summary: Two strangers, a wedding, and one unforgettable night.
Warnings: angsts, mild implied sexual content.
An: who wrote a sappy fic during hiatus??? Me. I did. Not back yet, wips likely resuming in February, but here is some fluffiness all inspired by a movie I was just gonna watch as background noise 😂 (is this bringing my Chris E crush back??? Dammit!)
Read on A03 only, you will need an account to read my works.
Myrlande
Myrlande chewed the inside of her cheek as more people filed in, the wedding would start in 20 minutes.
Each time she glanced back and didn’t see Andrew, relief washed over her. But there were still about 15 empty seats, and Brian would kill him if he didn’t show.
Myrlande was close to the bride, Grace, they'd known each other since grade school. Grace met Brian 6 years ago, and he’s been around ever since. Friends came along with the package, in Grace’s case, she came with Myrlande and Ani. Brian, the groom, came with four of his own childhood friends, one of them being Andrew.
“Honey, you’re making me nervous.” Ani placed one hand over Myrlands. “Breathe,” she whispered.
Myrlande blew out a breath. “Am I that obvious?”
“Only because I know you so well, plus, you’re looking at the door, a lot.”
Myrlande laughed to release some tension, “I haven't seen him since that night I fucked up.” …
.
Noon, in midtown Manhattan, Nick POV
As the crowd spilled off the train, Nick stayed seated.
Everyone around him was in a rush, except him. He said yes to this, but from the moment he got the invite months back, it only filled him with dread. She would be there.
The tall brunette captured his attention and heart in one night and he was smitten, all in, from the start. He’d never seen her before sophomore year of college, she just appeared, out of nowhere, like she was there just for him.
And once it was over, she was gone, like she had never been there; well, if it wasn’t for his broken heart and all the memories that haunted him like ghosts, even 6 years later.
I should be over it by now, he even told himself in the mirror sometimes, but no matter how many times he said it, it never worked…

no pressure at all and i don't want to be annoying just asking this out of curiosity is there any news of Nick Vaughan fic?
I’m struggling 😔
I want it to be perfect but a couple of letters are harder than others (giggity)
Should I publish as I finish a letter? Could I do them out of order? (That seems stupid)
What do I do?!?!??
