How much time do you have? Lol. I have so many thoughts and feelings about it, and if you don’t mind I’ll make my answer long. 

Let’s start with Simon. Poor baby who can’t find his place with either his friend Clary, or other vampires, even with Luke and his warlocks. He has to live like a hermit. But on the bright side - Magnus will ake care of him soom But what made my happy about him in this episode is his conversation with Luke and his smile while they were talking. Too pure. And the scene with Encanto got me under the table. How can he be so sweet and pure?! 

Luke. True leader who takes no shit from the Clave and it’s representative. The way he told Victor to leave his docks. He is the best parent in the show for so many reasons. He just needs to adopt Alec, Jace, Izzy, Simon and Clary and leave together as a big happy family.

Izzy. Too little of her, but those scenes we have seen - damn! Have you seen that booty?! The way she protects her brothers and is willing even to be de-runed to save Jace! If Luke is the father of that family she is truly the mother! She is too clever and artful for her age and I love her so much! The line ‘To know your evemy - you need to become your enemy’ - perfect. She is doing everything is her power to help her family. I need more of her in next episodes. 

Clary. Always tries to do what’s best but ends doing what is worst. She truly tries to protect Jace from Valentine, and now their mother, but failing. I have a feeling she will have not very good results for herself. And how does she suppose to feel? Her father is a psycho, a boy who she started to have feelings for turned out to be his brother and let with their maniac father. And now when she mother is finally awake she wants to kill Jace! Poor girl which is still a fighter and I respect her for that!

Maryse. How to describe her withought starting to harf? She has been raising Jace all his life and now she compares him to a cancer which needs to be cut off?! I can’t believe how she tries to ‘save her own ass’ as Alec said. She doesn’t care about Jace a single bit, she thinks he is a traitor. The Clave for whom Jace is just other warrior thinks he is a traitor. Ok fine. But she has known him all his life, has trained him, and she thinks that he is a traitor as well! She could have stepped back, take a neutral possition for God’s sake, but no! The way she says ‘I got them’ with such hatred I just can’t. She doesn’t deserve to have such wonderful children.

Victor. I am still staying neutral about him. Ive made a mistake in s1 thinking Lydia was a bad one, but now I need to wait and see what happens next. It’s not his orders, it’s orders of the Clave and he might as well be a good gut. Besides how can you hate Victor when he is being played by Nick who I can see and look at and listen to for hours? I wonder about his future line with Izzy. 

Jace. Poor baby who is so confussed and doesn’t know anymore where the truth is. When he is being tortured I just can’t watch. He doesn’t deserve this and I feel sooo sorry for him and just want to kill Valentine at least for hurting Jace. But when he went with Valenine through the portal voluntarily at the end I just screamed ‘WHAAATT?!’. Like yes Jocelyn was trying to kill him, but Valentine?! How can you compare them?! And you have people who love you and want you back. Now Valentine is gonna use this incident to manipulate Jace even more((

Jocelyn. Double opinion here. I understand that she wants to protect her daughter no matter what and thinks of Valentine and Jace as a threat. But why the hell hasn’t she aimed for her ex-husband instead?! And can we talk about how badass she is?! Great with seraph blades, throwing knives, and now a crossbow! Thank God it isn’t a bow (which can be used only by Alec, fight me on this). I feel that we already have enough contestants to open a chart of worst parents in the show.

Alec. Hurt, broken, confussed, helpless. I can’t be angry at him cause I know that he does everything he does in order to save Jace and doesn’t thing of consequences which influence other people around him. Let’s make another chart of people Alec hasn’t yelled at during this episode. But I am happy that he got courage in himself and decided to correct his actions. The way he just simple answered ‘Magnus’ ‘ to Maryse’s ‘Where are you going? ‘. He didn’t say ‘I just need to think’ or ‘Just for a walk’. Because he is not ashamed of his decision to see Magnus (in order to track Jace or for some other reasons) and I am so proud of Alec. And for the person who was afraid to say any extra words to his mother in s1 he now is snowing his character development by telling what he really thinks of his mother. 

Magnus. Hust. Sassy. Hurt. Sad. And hurt again. I wanted to slap Alec upside his head for making Magnus feel that he is ‘a lot to get used to’ Alec just needs to prove him wrong in every possible moment. Those almost tears in his eyes just made me almost cry myself. But sassy Magnus just made my day and I yelled after him ‘continue’, ‘for?’, ‘Clave being unhelpful. Who is shocked? Shove of hands?’, ‘this may surprise you but you are new for me too’ and *can’t deal with your shit i am out*. Too bad we didn’t see the interview between Magnus and Victor, Magnus would have showed that he takes no shit from anyone. How can a person be so vulnerable and strong at the same time?! 

Malec. All the scenes with them are blessing. Even the angst. I love angst, especially if after it goes making out up. And they had an adult conversation and discussed that they ‘are always going to face challenges’ but they need to stay together no matter what. And the hand holding and blushing! I don’t evem know what effected me more! They are just too perfect for my heart and soul. I can’t believe we get to see the development of their relationship from the best perspectives! 

All in all this episode didn’t disappoint me. I got what I have been waiting for - angst, soft Malec, hand holding, Simon smiling, daddy Luke, fighter Jace, worried Alec, adult conversation, Izzy being a badass, Victor being too impossible to hate adn so on.
