You think I'm sellin' out? 'Cause all I know I'm sellin' out Are shows that give me all the adoration I demand
I don't hide what I am, I know exactly who I am I am an entertainer who's above where he began
Come one, come all Where the creatures of the dark gather answering the call
For a show that knocks the baddest And the meanest off their feet
For a show that keeps them coming back here Every single night
For a show that's gonna make the masses Scream, and shriek, and shout
They'll hang on to every fucking word There's never any doubt
Rebuilt, reborn From the fires of the scorned
I don't let the scars define me, They're the badges I adorn
What we had is dead and buried I don't let it keep me down
'Cause now I am the ringleader And you're the clown

Hello Nick!! Your role in Downfall was so amazing and I love the extreme nuances and choices shown in your role playing.
Can you share any how you used terms like “child”, “son” and “father” when referring to the dawn father? Was it separately characteristics of the same god or more showing perspectives in those moments as the mortal avatar? I am fascinated and it make me scratch my brain thinking of possibilities.
Thank you so much!
#CR Downfall
Thank you for saying that, and great question!
This is a round about answer but a lot of that wordplay came from simply the name. Dawnfather is such a name rich in meaning. Both aspects of it have ties to time and new beginnings.
Dawn is the suns' rise each morning, born anew to herald the coming day. Its consistent return gives mortals the ability to track the weeks, the seasons, and the years. To even learn that the suns' patterns can allow one to divine the seasons takes years of thoughtful study. Dawn dispels the darkness and stimulates natures growth. It’s constantly new and also always constant.
Father. One cannot become a father without time. To be a father, one must have been a child, it is a stage of life that must be reached. It necessitates change and growth as much as the dawn does. A father knows what it is to have been a child, to have been the dawn, and now he watches over it, paving the way for the new. If I’m going to show a different side of the Dawnfather then showing that previous stage of life seemed interesting.
Within his name itself is this story of growth. His was the first light, he fathered the dawn, and he has kept watch through the ages as the keeper the time. Sun, summer, time, agriculture, harvest, he is a hands on god, consistent, dutiful, present, with his hands in the dirt, it is what he knows. To become mortal and not tend to the world is hard for him.
Ayden is young, he is new, he is the Dawn, but not yet the Father. He is an aspect, the Dawnfathers hope sent down to Exandria to aid his siblings. He has more abilities pertaining to agriculture than the sun because that is the Dawnfathers newest domain. He comes late because the Dawnfather wants to wait till the absolute last minute to abandon his post. He has yet to make the journey.
All this to say that I wanted to explicitly show him growing from this experience. Ayden is not the Dawnfather we know…yet, he is the Dawnchild, on his journey. He has not toiled for ages tending to the world. I believe that the Dawnfather pre and post divergence is quite different. I think the divine gate separates him from the hands on nature of his expressed divinity. I think Ayden was a way to show this dawning realization that to be a good father one must empathize with children but also sometimes make the hard decisions for them, something they do not always agree with.
I wanted to play with him being both a part of the greater whole of the Dawnfather, and something seperate. His literal age of 15 means he is not fully formed despite being infused with the divine soul of the Dawnfather. Getting to play with “child” “son” and “father” let me highlight the differences and illuminate the growth that happens during this time of mortal incarnation and explore the inner turmoil with the Dawnfather himself as his various aspects interact with one another.
There is also precedent in some belief systems of Sun gods birthing themselves or being replaced by their own mortal incarnations. I think for a diety that rises anew each day it’s natural to associate imagery of rebirth or the journey of child to father.
And lastly I think it shouldn’t be overstated how much effect the Everlight and Trist had on Ayden. Nearly half of his levels are devoted to her. I think that sort of reinforces his mortal shell in a unique way and gives him the opportunity to be two things at once more fully.

December 15: Nick Urankar
00 │ 01 │ 02 │ 03 │ 04 │ 05 │ 06 │ 07 │ 08 │ 09 │ 10 │ 11 │ 12 │ 13 │ 14 │ 15
Fitness entrepreneur Nick Urankar frowned as he examined himself in the mirror. From another’s perspective, the man’s body appeared to be blessed with plump muscle that he’d diligently worked hard for. His cut-off t-shirt showcased his chiseled abs, the fabric ending just below his impressive pectorals. Nick was a hunk, through and through.
Still, that beard-framed frown was ever-present as he studied his muscled form in the mirror.
The source of his annoyance was a stupid comment from some anonymous user on Instagram.
Nick was in the process of trying to gain new subscriptions to his fitness programs come New Years, which was when the fitness community would usually experience a boom in followers. He’s opted to go the family man route, which was something he’d often do in his regular posts.
Ultimately, Nick had decided to post a picture of himself shirtless, showing off his rock hard chest muscles with the caption: “New Dad Bod!”
It had worked initially, and Nick had seen a plethora of new subscriptions piling in at a rapid rate from dads who wanted to trim a little belly fat. However, there was one comment under the pic that had stuck out to Nick: “That’s NOT a dad bod! 👿”
It was a simple comment that should’ve been nothing at all, yet, Nick couldn’t deny the irritation that bubbled up in his gut over it. The influencer had tried his best to ignore it, but obviously since he was still thinking about it, it’d clearly annoyed him.
“‘Dad Bod’,” Nick snorted as he rolled his eyes, imagining the type of body that the anon must’ve been referring to: big belly and saggy pecs. That wasn’t the type of dad bod that Nick wanted to have, hence his bulky form.
The hunk finished up his night route before lying down, trying to force the odd comment out of his brain. As he lied down in bed, a strange tingling sensation broke out over the muscle dad’s body and he could hear the springs in the mattress groaning more than usual…
Nick’s morning alarm beeped, letting the influencer know that it was time to get up and get ready for his morning stream. The stud liked to post his Sunday morning workouts on his socials, which served to act as advertisements for his workout routines.
Nick threw the covers off of himself and sat up in bed, rubbing at his tired eyes. The man felt a lot more tired this morning, and he scratched at his belly absent-mindedly as he let out a loud belch. He stood up and began to waddle towards the bathroom, unaware of the jiggling feeling that was emanating from his torso as he moved. He entered the bathroom and turned on the light, his eyes nearly popping out of his skull at what he saw.
“Fuck!” Nick cried out as his eyes honed in on the massive belly that was attached to him.
Standing to the side, Nick bore a profile of someone who was not active in CrossFit, but who instead would often lounge on the couch and drink beer all day. His gut was massive! It protruded far out in front of him, and when he moved the slightest bit, Nick’s new big belly would jiggle and bounce incessantly, illustrating that it was mostly fat. Worse was that his chilled pecs had puffed out too and they sagged a little more than they should’ve, coming to rest atop the man’s new belly.
As Nick poked and prodded his larger form, the stud noticed that the rest of his toned muscles looked puffy now. There was still some muscle evident on his frame, but they were all now covered by a thick layer of fat that obscured their contours. Even his face looked rounder, his cheek bones hidden by the new roundness quality.
Out of shock, Nick waddled over to the scale in his bathroom and stood on top of it. He inwardly winced as he had to look over his cresting gut in order to gawk at the red numbers on the scale: 301 lbs. A total gain of nearly eighty pounds of what seemed to be pure fat, with most of it on his gut.
In his shock, Nick couldn’t help but grab at his gut with both of his shaky hands, giving it a rough shake. He felt the blood drain from his face as his new belly jiggled like crazy, a far cry from his previously flat, chiseled abdominals.
“Now that’s a dad bod!” he heard his deep voice exclaim, almost proudly.
The influencer jerked back in surprise at his words, noticing for the first time that he’d been smirking during his entire inspection. His cocky grin bore a proud aura that only grew as the inflated man rubbed his new gut lovingly.
The inflated influencer felt his legs propel him forward on their own accord, moving as if they had a mind of their own. His beefier arms reached out and grabbed his phone, setting it up onto its tripod as he started to record.
The altered Nick felt humiliated as he saw his phone live recording him, showing his larger new dad bod on display for his thousands of followers to see. However, despite his inner panic, the hunk only continued to smile widely at the camera.
“Good morning everyone,” the beefy dad bodded man greeted his followers, rubbing his belly lovingly. “I thought that this would be a good time to give you all a check in on my hot dad bod.”
The stud felt himself continue to rub his bigger belly, making the rotund gut shake like a beach ball in front of him with every movement. Nick screamed on the inside, but was powerless to do anything besides show off his inflated, beefy form. His abs and muscles were completely shrouded by the thick fat that he was showing off, the cocky smile on his round face indicating that he loved every bit of it.
“This is what a real dad bod looks like,” Nick heard himself say, immediately thinking back tot he obscure comment that he’d read the other day. He looked down at his big belly and gave it another shake, knowing that the mysterious comment must’ve been behind his recent transformation.
The influencer with the big dad bod continued to show off his girthy frame, beyond humiliated, yet smiling widely the entire time.

It's getting to be that time of year where there are rapid fire back-to-back holidays! It's enough to make even a Kindred's head spin with how busy we're getting! This time around it's a grand holiday party starring your favorite OC - no specific clan here! Just whoever you feel like showing up to the party. The local Followers of Set are hosting the shindig at their club and temple and invite you to wear a fun holiday sweater and party the night away! Parvati is wearing a "I'm so Good, Santa Came Twice" sweater, Harrakhty is wearing a "Big Nick Energy" sweater, and Set Reborn Kahanni thought it would be funny to celebrate the birth of Christ on her sweater. It's time for another Vampire the Masquerade community collaboration! Please please please draw your favorite Vampire the Masquerade OC alongside ours (these characters belong to me and @thesixthplaneteer) so that everyone can celebrate the holidays!
Like the other collaborations, I will take all submissions at the deadline and smush them all into one final collab piece - the deadline will be December 23rd!! (A Monday!) I tried to answer how to submit here in case you were curious! It would be great for you to post a PNG of your character beneath a cut when you reblog the piece just for easier management!
(For reference, Harrakhty Hamdi is 6'5", Kahanni is 6'3", and Parvati is 5'11". GIANTS this go around!)
IF YOU WANT TO DRAW AND FEEL LIKE YOU CANNOT DRAW DO NOT LISTEN TO THAT VOICE THAT IS THE DEVIL DECEIVING YOU! Please draw your OC next to them if you want to I would cry and love to see it!

my experience meeting the triplets/ going to their tour ౨ৎ ⋆.˚ ✧
first i just wanna say, i am so so so insanely grateful to have attended both tours and to have met them twice. i’m not trying to brag or anything but a lot of people ask me and i figured it be easier for me to make one post rather than answer inbox questions a million times that get lost.
2/5/23 - let’s trip tour
i met the triplets for the first time during the let’s trip tour. i vividly remember being at work when the tickets went on sale and i was gonna go w my coworker but things fell thru and i went alone, and that alr was nerve wrecking enough. but i met a lot of cool people on line and everyone was super friendly. i got the pre-show small talk package, so i got to meet them before i saw them on stage. i also wrote them letters (idk if they ever opened them) but it was honestly fate when i stopped to drop them off in the present bin because there was a group of three girls in front of me so i wasn’t super rushed when i was meeting each triplet.
i met chris first! i was soooooo nervous but the second i started talking it all went away. the first thing i noticed was how small they are irl and immediately after was how fucking good chris smelled 😭 he was soo sweet. i told him how i loved watching their videos w my mom and that she was his favorite. i can’t rlly remember what else i talked about him with, and i tried to screen record my camera but i didn’t turn the mic on so i lost all the audio 😭😭
next was matttttt the loml. i was immediately soo comfortable around him, i was literally just talking like a normal conversation without even thinking. i asked him how the tour was going and he told me he was sad it was ending soon. and then i told him how one of my best friends is a triplet and we talked about that, he told me his dad is a twin and that everyone thinks he nick and chris are identical but they aren’t. he was so sweet and really listen to what you have to say, i had such a nice time talking with him.
when i met nick my auto pilot like shut off and i froze 😭😭 i literally out loud was like “i am so nervous” and he was so sweet about it, he hugged me a second time and was like “no don’t be it’s okay!” lmfaoo. i didn’t get to talk to him as long but i remember him telling me it was super nice to meet me after.
on line for the red carpet, i met madi! she was just walking around the venue, and she was over by me and i asked for a photo. she was soo sweet (and so pretty irl omfg). i didn’t wait in line for the red carpet for very long, i got merch, and then i did my photo w them :,) tbh i honestly don’t lovee it because i rlly don’t look the best in it lolol. bur ill pull thru and show u all. but this was back when u got to pick ur own poses and we all did hearts with one another (idk if that makes sense) and i stood next to my mannn😛😛
i look so diff now like i actually hate how i look when i met them but that’s beside the point 😭😭 but they all looked sooooo good. also for reference im about 5’3-5’4ish.
show-wise, it was sm more fun than the versus tour tbh. i got to see yung pleit perform and he opened w miss me and everyone was going insaneeeee. i was literally like one person behind the baracade, i was so close it was so so so cool. the triplets went on for maybe twenty minutes but they read the question i asked them which was so cool. and mary lou, jimmy, justin, and nate were all at my show!! they were on the balcony above the stage and were waving to us it was so cute. i had such a fun time at this show i wish i could go back
10/9/23 - the versus tour
this show was soooooo so so so special to me. i was going through a really really hard time. and this show made me so happy and gave me such a nice break from everything. this show wasn’t as close as the first show so i went to with my mom (she was team orange lol). i also got to meet some old online friends i made which was so nice :,) like the last tour, i got pre-show small talk. my only complaint though is that when i bought tickets backstage wasn’t available, some friends and i called the venue and they told us there was no backstage , but there actually was :( but im still sooooo grateful i got to meet them!
the order was the same as last time- chris, matt, then nick. i was so nervous about meeting them again, i literally almost forgot to take a pic w chris LMFAO. he was so sweet, he asked me how i was doing, if i was excited, all that good stuff. this time was a lot more rushed than the first, but i still got a decent amount of time with each triplet. i also got them each to draw me my fav angel numbers to get tattooed, i still haven’t gotten it yet but when i do i’ll post it :)
i was sooo nervous to meet matt again lmfao but as soon as i went up to him i felt fine. i complemented his outfit (he had on his white eeyore jacket 😭😭 so cute) and we took our picture and when i was leaving he told me it was rlly nice to meet me :,)) he is sooooooo pretty irl like his eyes r so blue and his earrings r so sparkly i was literally like in a trance. omfg.
nick was soo sweet he gave me such a big hug and was so smiley and asked how i was doing, same as chris. he also rested his head on mine when we took our pic togetherrr. he was so so kind.
my show was a monday so they had uploaded a podcast while i was on line for the red carpet, so i listened to that a bit while waiting. this tour we had pre-picked poses, but i did the hearts again. i stood in between matt and chris, and i said i wanted hearts and matt immediately did half the heart and put his arm around me so we did the heart tgth 😭😭
lowk not a fan of this pic either but :( so sweet. i love them so much. i also wore platform shoes this time lol so that gave me some height.
the show was so good! so much more entertaining than what the triplets did the first time. it was very engaging, and so fun to watch. lowk bitter i didn’t get picked to be matt’s teammate but we move. anyway. each challenge was so fun, me and my friend knew almost all the trivia questions they did 😭😭 and jenga was sooo stressful to watch lmfao it was so close the whole time, i think we had one of the longest jenga shows of the tour lmfao. chris ended up winning bc matt dropped the jenga tower and they were both tied. it was such a fun experience im so grateful to have gone !

just wanted to say that Uncle story you made was really good... Any chance for a part 2?
Hey everyone. I wanted to thank you all for your kind words concerning my Uncle John. After I shared what had happened to him and how I got into TF reporting, I got a lot of supportive messages (along with the regular ones that seem to think this is some sort of… kink blog? What even is that?). Because of how kind you’ve been, I thought I should update you on how everything is going. I’m sorry to say there isn’t much to update you on though. I have a good idea as to who transformed my uncle, which I’ll probably expand upon in another post (I keep saying that, I know, but I will), but what I don’t know is where he is. I haven’t got a clue where he is at the moment, but luckily I’m not the only one searching for him.
The Douchebag Revolution has been keeping an eye out for him for one. Since I help them out sometimes they’ve been helping me. They can be surprisingly nice at times, and they’re pretty sympathetic to people who have been transformed against their will, since they all were at some point. They also seem to have somehow gotten the idea that Uncle John was straight before he got transformed, but since that seems to motivate them more I haven’t corrected them.
I have members of other groups I’ve mentioned helping me too. I won’t name names, since they could get fired (or transformed), but I do have some connections at EB Jewelry, despite the company's anti-journalist policy. They’re the reason I was actually able to get some information on the company in the first place, and they’ve been using some of their connections within the company to help look for my Uncle. They haven’t found much yet, though it's because of them I can safely say that EB Jewelry isn’t involved in what happened.
Then of course there are the other TF Reporters who help, a few personal friends of my Uncle, and… Nick. My Uncles literally devilish friend, Nick. Honestly, he’s been looking harder than anyone, and I think I know why. I’ve always referred to Nick as my Uncle’s devil friend, and that's how he introduced himself to me, but… from what I’ve noticed, they were actually closer than that. It was the little things that gave it away. The look in Nick's eyes when he talks about my uncle, both fond and painful, the way he seems more desperate to find him than I do, how protective he’s been of me since my Uncle disappeared. I think he and my Uncle John were seriously involved, for quite a long time.
It’s kind of weird to realize your Uncle is, or at least was, in a long term relationship with a devil, but no matter the reason, I’m glad he's here. I don’t know If I could do all this without Nick's help. He’s half the reason I haven't been turned into a dumb hunk myself. I do worry sometimes that this is starting to get to him. Whoever transformed Uncle John has been sending… pictures, recently. He’s always transformed in a different way and with a different look, but I can just tell it’s him. They’re showing him off like some sort of trophy, using him to mock us. Nick never says anything but it’s killing him seeing my Uncle that way, I can tell.
This whole thing is my fault. I was the reason my Uncle got changed. I have to get him back. I know whoever took him is reading this post. I know you’re powerful, powerful enough that time travel, demons and capitalist don’t want to fight you. But I’m not afraid of you. I know who you are, and I’m giving you a fair warning: I’m coming for you, and I’m getting him back. No matter what.
**I’ve been meaning to do a sequel to the ‘My Uncle’ story for a while. I love big lore stories. I need to introduce the big bad soon, but there so much other stuff to write too so it might still be a bit. Hope you love this story and hope you guys can wait!**

Bill and Ford and Adult Grooming - Why Gravity Falls is a Metaphor Champion for Abusive Relationships (GF Writing Analysis Pt. 4)
GF Writing Analysis Series:
Pt. 1 - Ford Pines: A Masterclass in Writing a Good Flawed Character Pt. 2 - How Gravity Falls Could Have Been Better + Poor Ford and Wendy Pt. 3 - Mabel Pines: How Well Was She Written... Really?
Hello and welcome to the fourth post in my GF Writing Analysis series! Though the title is self-explanatory, I still want to warn folks that this post will contain dark content relating to adult grooming AKA abuse. If that is content you'd rather avoid (and for some reason your filters did not catch my trigger warning tags), this is your heads up that this post will contain that type of discussion.
For those of you who are not sure what adult grooming is, no, it's not the sexual grooming between an adult and a minor like we typically think of when the term "grooming" comes up, nor does it have to be romantic at all, although sexual acts can be a part of this form of grooming. It is defined as:
"-the predatory act of manoeuvring another individual into a position that makes them more isolated, dependent, likely to trust, and more vulnerable to abusive behaviour. The goal is to prepare the other person for abuse (for example, sexual or financial) later. Therefore, the groomer’s first step is to establish friendship and trust." (Source).
It is my belief that the relationship between Bill and Ford in Gravity Falls - which The Book of Bill helped illustrate even more - is one of adult grooming. This post will explore how the concept of adult grooming applies to the relationship between Bill and Ford, how it changes our perception of them as characters, and the value of showing metaphors for abuse in media for all ages - like Gravity Falls is - to help bring to light this very real and underdiscussed issue and help victims recognize it themselves.
Defining Adult Grooming Further + Who Bill Really Is
We already visited the definition of adult grooming above, but we haven't explored the psychology behind it yet. Namely, I want to explore who partakes in adult grooming on both ends. There is the abuser, and the victim.
The abuser is described as often being:
"Narcissists, Antisocial predators, con artists and sexual aggressors practice grooming to target and manipulate vulnerable people for exploitation." (Source).
Well, very obviously, we know that Bill is the abuser. But... why? He could be a narcissist, an antisocial predator, and a con artist, just like the above description. But which? Why is he an abuser?
Well, our first inclination might be to turn to The Book of Bill and think about his backstory; how he could see in the third dimension in a two dimensional world, tried to "liberate" his dimension to see what he could see, and... then slaughtered them all. He implies it was an accident. He just "wanted the best" for his people. But... drumroll please... get ready for a U-turn into some literary talk...
The Great Gatsby references surrounding The Book of Bill were more than just a "lol random" joke. Infamously, the narrator of The Great Gatsby, Nick Carraway, is what's called an 'unreliable narrator'. This is a writing technique defined as:
"-any narrator who misleads readers, either deliberately or unwittingly. Many are unreliable through circumstances, character flaws or psychological difficulties. In some cases, a narrator withholds key information from readers, or they may deliberately lie or misdirect." (Source).
To me, after understanding just how much more Hirsch has tied The Great Gatsby to The Book of Bill's release (e.g "TJ Eckleburg" being the password to get into the associated ARG website, offering a free PDF of The Great Gatsby on said website)... I think what Hirsch is trying to say, is... Bill is an unreliable narrator, as well. Not that that wasn't already well established throughout the series.
Let's ask ourselves this question: is there anyone Bill hasn't lied to? Tried to gain sympathies from? I'll wait. Because the answer is no. Bill lies every time he opens his mouth. Even the god of the Gravity Falls setting - the Axolotl - calls him a liar in the Dipper and Mabel and the Curse of the Time Pirates' Treasure!: Select Your Own Choose-Venture book.
So as a small aside to the main point of this post: I don't think there's anything in The Book of Bill that we can guarantee is proof or canon. If I'm honest, I think The Book of Bill is the mad rambling of a monster trying to justify to us as well as himself that he's better than he really is. He's an unreliable narrator to himself because he needs to save himself from mentally shattering upon the admission that, yeah, he's really that horrible of a person.
If I were to define what The Book of Bill is, is it's a sad attempt to elicit sympathy for a monster, by a monster. It's a masterclass in how he - as an abuser - grooms someone. If you read The Book of Bill and walk away feeling bad for Bill, then congratulations! You would have fallen prey to him just like Ford did. And just like everyone who ever fell prey to him before that.
The metaphor Gravity Falls and its extra content illustrates through Bill is how charming, funny, and enticing and sexy according to Tumblr for some godforsaken reason abusers can be in real life. Because the worst of monsters are the ones who do everything to convince you they're not.
So what does this say about Bill as a character? Don't be fooled. He really is that monstrous. He doesn't have any redeeming qualities. Everything Bill does is with a goal in mind, a person to be used or manipulated to get there, and with a complete lack of conscience to stop himself from doing it. And that's what makes Bill such a strong and terrifying villain: He really is that evil. He really is that soulless. He's not a villain of great strength or power that can be easily defeated with might. He's a villain that underlines something very real beyond a screen or book page, something that we all likely have experienced in real life: an abuser.
Bill and Ford: Abuser and Abused + How Bill Does It
Getting back to the definition of adult grooming, let's explore how it works. There are typical steps abusers like Bill use. We'll list them, then list examples alongside each step that show how Bill used these tactics on Ford for the sake of both exploring their characters more, and illustrating how well Gravity Falls depicts actual abuse.
Please note that I'm using this source as my guideline on the steps of adult grooming.
Step One: Targeting the Victim
The abuser first looks for someone they can target. They learn all they can about the victim. Typically, they look for victims who are:
Unpopular or have family problems. Gee... who does this sound like?
People who have low self-esteem. GEE... sounds familiar again.
People who have mental/physical disabilities. Although Ford does not have either, at least not proven in canon, it is possible that his genius could be considered a disability in how high IQ individuals typically are more socially isolated, depressed, anxious, insomnia-ridden from overthinking, and can have troubles with making friends due to likeliness to correct others (*cough* "Grammar, Stanley." *cough), different senses of humor, and being misunderstood. (Source). Plus, we know his polydactyly caused people to outcast him.
People who have already been through abuse. I - and many others - have made the point that it's common fan interpretation that Ford's father was abusive to a point. At the very least, I have argued in previous posts that Filbrick taught Ford that "value = what money you make from smarts". He was, after all, supposed to be "their ticket outta this (New Jersey poor neighborhood) dump", right? Assuming this is true, well... Ford was already taught from a young age that his value was in how others could use him. Filbrick may have primed him to be abused by Bill, unintentionally.
Okay, so we've established step one of adult grooming, and how Ford fits 99% of these criteria at least for the type of victim an abuser targets. What about step two?
Step Two: Gaining Trust
Honestly, I don't need to elaborate much on this part. I'll just quote the article I sourced before, because any Gravity Falls fan will instantly know how this applies to Bill and Ford:
"Groomers can be hard to notice as they will do their best to appear safe and genuine. This makes it hard to identify them. Over time, they will gradually manipulate the victim to be dependent on them."
"While gaining trust, the groomer may use flattery like offering gifts, admiration, and sharing “secrets” with the person to make them feel special. The groomer may do favours for someone. The groomer may gradually begin asking for favours in return, generally starting small. This may be the start of a romantic relationship or a simple friendship."
"Groomers may share secrets with their target in order to make them feel special and trusted by the groomer. This also may make the target feel they need to share secrets of their own, which the groomer may later use to increase their power over the target."
I mean... *gestures at all of Ford's journals and interactions with Bill in The Book of Bill*. Bill couldn't get any more textbook abuser/adult groomer than this. He praised Ford, shared secrets with him, made him feel so special, etc.
Step Three and Four: Filling a Need and Isolation
These steps are quite self-explanatory. The abuser (Bill) convinces the victim that they need them. "You need me to complete your portal project, Ford.". "No one else understands you, Ford.". And then comes the isolation, and where we'll touch on Stan and McGucket.
"Groomers will likely try to isolate the victim from their loved ones. This may be evident in the way they refuse to meet family and loved ones. Or perhaps they bad mouth them, or try to point out to the victim that the groomer is the only one who really and truly cares for them. Being isolated from friends and family makes it harder for the victim to notice warning signs."
Bill convinced Ford he didn't need anyone but him. He convinced him to isolate more and more; to push his brother away, to push McGucket away, until Ford had literally no support network, making him prime prey for Bill to take advantage of.
Step Five+: The Real Abuse
This step can manifest in many different ways. After reading the article sourced above, there are so many similarities to what Bill did to Ford. I'll list them here:
Continuing isolation.
Destroying self-esteem.
Physical abuse (leaving Ford with bloody knuckles, making his body hurt, leaving him on top of the Shack in the freezing cold, etc).
Seek to take control over victims (in Bill's case, the fantasy/supernatural metaphor of possession is just that: a metaphor for control).
Normalizing behaviors that aren't normal ("Here, I'll just possess you more and more, I swear giving me complete control is normal!").
Making the victim feel helpless.
And many, many more. Folks, I'm not going to lie: I would not be surprised if Hirsch and other writers involved in Bill's creation read a manual on how abusers work (or maybe experienced it in their own lives, but hopefully not, as I wouldn't wish that on anyone) to write Bill. Because Bill does these steps on cue to Ford. He is a textbook abuser.
So... What Does This Say About Bill and Ford?
The dark humor in Bill's writing is that he portrays his shadowy side as lighthearted, but there's a very, very dark underbelly of abuse in everything he does. Even the way we interact with Bill as viewers/readers in real life is a microcosm of his abuse. Look at how he's written:
"Oh, I look like an innocent, funny little triangle guy. Don't mind me. *Does something horrifying and awful.* Oh, I'm just funny, trust me, look how sad I am for losing Ford, and how I drink about it, and I'm all sad here in interdimensional therapy, and I kept a speck of dust from my dimension in my hat! I swear I'm really regretful!"
Text in point: "I'm just a rascal! A funny little guy! But everyone seems to think I'm "evil" or "a sociopath".
He wants to be a hero, or a star, as he calls it. He shows himself on a magazine cover, as someone talked to in a live show, as the leader of the Henchmaniacs (which I'd argue are also either are abusers or victims themselves based on how Bill describes them in the book), etc.
But he's a liar. He's a conman. He's a dream demon; a demon that has power over dreams, but dreams are just that: lies and illusions. Like I said, even the Axolotl thinks so:
"Saw his own dimension burn. Misses home and can't return. Says he's happy, he's a liar. Blame the arson for the fire."
What that line and this screenshot means, is that Bill is 100% to blame for the destruction he wreaks. He didn't "show people the truth". He burned them alive because they didn't worship him as the hero he wanted so badly to be, and he blamed it on, "Well, they just didn't GET what I was trying to tell them.". And the worst part about Bill, is he knows deep down he's to blame; that he has the blood of millions on his hands. But he literally tries to describe it as "liberating" his kind. Ford knows this, too, and tells us directly in The Book of Bill that the book itself is a sham:
Key quotes being: "It will become whatever it must to deceive you, to pull you in." and "DO NOT BELIEVE A WORD".
Honestly, there's only one line Bill ever said that was truth:
Yet, even though Bill knows he's a monster, he never stops. He's had millions of years to change, yet he hasn't. And I doubt he ever will. That's why the Theraprism is effective: it's a jail of his own making. He could get out if he wanted to get better and worked at it. He's always had the key to unlock his cage. But he won't. Because he can't admit fault.
So instead of fixing himself, he keeps wanting to drag others into his cage with him. Like a man drowning who'll grasp onto anyone else struggling, pretending he's helping them float together, only to push them down to keep himself above the water. But in the Theraprism, he has no one to pretend to. He's a "theatre kid without a stage", like Ford said. A little emotional leech without someone to latch onto. He's just alone, like he was after he destroyed his entire dimension.
As for Ford, he champions the story of a victim who regained his power and heals through the love of his family. If you read his and Bill's story from the perspective of abuser vs. victim, it's the story of a man who was isolated, taken advantage of, nearly destroyed... but then wrests his power back and chases after his abuser for thirty years for revenge. However, it's telling that it's not through his thirst for vengeance that Bill is defeated, but through his brother's love for him and the rest of their family.
I mean, look at the main villains of Gravity Falls: someone who sacrificed his family (Bill), someone who was selfish and didn't give a crap about his family (Gideon), etc. And the heroes: people who self-sacrificed for their family. All the Pines wrestle with this theme, from things as small as Dipper giving up a let's be honest very minimal chance at Wendy to make Mabel happy and win Waddles at the fair, Mabel destroying her puppet show to save Dipper from Bill, Ford self-sacrificing and getting tortured for I don't even know how many days locked up with Bill during Weirdmageddon to protect others, and Stan performing the ultimate sacrifice in the finale for his family and world.
Bill is the antithesis to the Pines: a selfish abuser who killed his family. And the Pines are heroes because they learn the moral lesson of the story: to give up pride and selfishness to forgive, self-sacrifice, and love your family and do anything for them, despite your trauma or prior disagreements. They could have just as easily ended up like Bill: awful because of a refusal to admit fault or self-sacrifice. But they don't, because they learned what Bill never did.
That's also why this show focuses so much on the theme of past vs. future and letting go; the Pines learned to let go and accept change, Bill never did. He's stuck. Funny how time stops whenever Bill shows up in the real world, huh? /symbolism wink
And that's why Gravity Falls - and Ford and Bill's story especially - is a champion metaphor for abusive relationships and healing from them.

The New York Times once dubbed the Princeton professor Robert George, who has guided Republican elites for decades, “the reigning brain of the Christian right.” Last year, he issued a stark warning to his ideological allies. “Each time we think the horrific virus of anti-Semitism has been extirpated, it reappears,” he wrote in May 2023. “A plea to my fellow Catholics—especially Catholic young people: Stay a million miles from this evil. Do not let it infect your thinking.” When I spoke with George that summer, he likened his sense of foreboding to that of Heinrich Heine, the 19th-century German poet who prophesied the rise of Nazism in 1834.
Some 15 months later, the conservative commentator Tucker Carlson welcomed a man named Darryl Cooper onto his web-based show and introduced him to millions of followers as “the best and most honest popular historian in the United States.” The two proceeded to discuss how Adolf Hitler might have gotten a bad rap and why British Prime Minister Winston Churchill was “the chief villain of the Second World War.”
Hitler tried “to broadcast a call for peace directly to the British people” and wanted to “work with the other powers to reach an acceptable solution to the Jewish problem,” Cooper elaborated in a social-media post. “He was ignored.” Why the Jews should have been considered a “problem” in the first place—and what a satisfactory “solution” to their inconvenient existence might be—was not addressed.
Some Republican politicians spoke out against Carlson’s conversation with Cooper, and many historians, including conservative ones, debunked its Holocaust revisionism. But Carlson is no fringe figure. His show ranks as one of the top podcasts in the United States; videos of its episodes rack up millions of views. He has the ear of Donald Trump and spoke during prime time at the 2024 Republican National Convention. His anti-Jewish provocations are not a personal idiosyncrasy but the latest expression of an insurgent force on the American right—one that began to swell when Trump first declared his candidacy for president and that has come to challenge the identity of the conservative movement itself.
Anti-Semitism has always existed on the political extremes, but it began to migrate into the mainstream of the Republican coalition during the Trump administration. At first, the prejudice took the guise of protest.
In 2019, hecklers pursued the Republican congressman Dan Crenshaw—a popular former Navy SEAL from Texas—across a tour of college campuses, posing leading questions to him about Jews and Israel, and insinuating that the Jewish state was behind the 9/11 attacks. The activists called themselves “Groypers” and were led by a young white supremacist named Nick Fuentes, an internet personality who had defended racial segregation, denied the Holocaust, and participated in the 2017 rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, where marchers chanted, “Jews will not replace us.”
The slogan referred to a far-right fantasy known as the “Great Replacement,” according to which Jews are plotting to flood the country with Black and brown migrants in order to displace the white race. That belief animated Robert Bowers, who perpetrated the largest massacre of Jews on American soil at a Pittsburgh synagogue in 2018 after sharing rants about the Great Replacement on social media. The Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, the gunman wrote in his final post, “likes to bring invaders in that kill our people … Screw your optics, I’m going in.”
Less than three years later, Carlson sanitized that same conspiracy theory on his top-rated cable-news show. “They’re trying to change the population of the United States,” the Fox host declared, “and they hate it when you say that because it’s true, but that’s exactly what they’re doing.” Like many before him, Carlson maintained plausible deniability by affirming an anti-Semitic accusation without explicitly naming Jews as culprits. He could rely on members of his audience to fill in the blanks.
Carlson and Fuentes weren’t the only ones who recognized the rising appeal of anti-Semitism on the right. On January 6, 2021, an influencer named Elijah Schaffer joined thousands of Trump supporters storming the U.S. Capitol, posting live from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office. Eighteen months later, Schaffer publicly polled his hundreds of thousands of Twitter followers: “Do you believe Jews disproportionately control the world institutions, banks, & are waging war on white, western society?” Social-media polls are not scientific, so the fact that more than 70 percent of respondents said some version of “yes” matters less than the fact that 94,000 people participated in the survey. Schaffer correctly gauged that this subject was something that his audience wanted to discuss, and certainly not something that would hurt his career.
With little fanfare, the tide had turned in favor of those advancing anti-Semitic arguments. In 2019, Fuentes and his faction were disrupting Republican politicians like Crenshaw. By 2022, Fuentes was shaking hands onstage with Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene and dining with Trump at Mar-a-Lago. In 2019, the Groyper activists were picketing events held by Turning Point USA, the conservative youth organization founded by the activist Charlie Kirk. By 2024, Turning Point was employing—and periodically firing and denouncing—anti-Semitic influencers who appeared at conventions run by Fuentes. “The Zionist Jews controlling our planet are all pedophiles who have no regard for the sanctity of human life and purity,” one of the organization’s ambassadors posted before she was dismissed.
In 2020, Carlson’s lead writer, Blake Neff, was compelled to resign after he was exposed as a regular contributor to a racist internet forum. Today, he produces Kirk’s podcast and recently reported alongside him at the Republican National Convention. “Why does Turning Point USA keep pushing anti-Semitism?” asked Erick Erickson, the longtime conservative radio host and activist, last October. The answer: Because that’s what a growing portion of the audience wants.
“When I began my career in 2017,” Fuentes wrote in May 2023, “I was considered radioactive in the American Right for my White Identitarian, race realist, ‘Jewish aware,’ counter-Zionist, authoritarian, traditional Catholic views … In 2023, on almost every count, our previously radioactive views are pounding on the door of the political mainstream.” Fuentes is a congenital liar, but a year after this triumphalist pronouncement, his basic point is hard to dispute. Little by little, the extreme has become mainstream—especially since October 7.
Last December, Tucker Carlson joined the popular anti-establishment podcast Breaking Points to discuss the Gaza conflict and accused a prominent Jewish political personality of disloyalty to the nation. “They don’t care about the country at all,” he told the host, “but I do … because I’m from here, my family’s been here hundreds of years, I plan to stay here. Like, I’m shocked by how little they care about the country, including the person you mentioned. And I can’t imagine how someone like that could get an audience of people who claim to care about America, because he doesn’t, obviously.”
The twist: “He” was not some far-left activist who had called America an irredeemably racist regime. Carlson was referring to Ben Shapiro, arguably the most visible Jewish conservative in America, and insinuating that despite his decades of paeans to American exceptionalism, Shapiro was a foreign implant secretly serving Israeli interests. The podcast host did not object to Carlson’s remarks.
The war in Gaza has placed Jews and their role in American politics under a microscope. Much has been written about how the conflict has divided the left and led to a spike in anti-Semitism in progressive spaces, but less attention has been paid to the similar shake-up on the right, where events in the Middle East have forced previously subterranean tensions to the surface. Today, the Republican Party’s establishment says that it stands with Israel and against anti-Semitism, but that stance is under attack by a new wave of insurgents with a very different agenda.
Since October 7, in addition to slurring Shapiro, Carlson has hosted a parade of anti-Jewish guests on his show. One was Candace Owens, the far-right podcaster known for her defenses of another anti-Jewish agitator, Kanye “Ye” West. Owens had already clashed with her employer—the conservative outlet The Daily Wire, co-founded by Shapiro—over her seeming indifference to anti-Semitism. But after the Hamas assault, she began making explicit what had previously been implicit—including liking a social-media post that accused a rabbi of being “drunk on Christian blood,” a reference to the medieval blood libel. The Daily Wire severed ties with her soon after. But this did not remotely curb her appeal.
Today, Owens can be found fulminating on her YouTube channel (2.4 million subscribers) or X feed (5.6 million followers) about how a devil-worshipping Jewish cult controls the world, and how Israel was complicit in the 9/11 attacks and killed President John F. Kennedy. Owens has also jumped aboard the Reich-Rehabilitation Express. “What is it about Hitler? Why is he the most evil?” she asked in July. “The first thing people would say is: ‘Well, an ethnic cleansing almost took place.’ And now I offer back: ‘You mean like we actually did to the Germans.’”
“Many Americans are learning that WW2 history is not as black and white as we were taught and some details were purposefully omitted from our textbooks,” she wrote after Carlson’s Holocaust conversation came under fire. The post received 15,000 likes.
Donald Trump’s entry into Republican politics intensified several forces that have contributed to the rise of anti-Semitism on the American right. One was populism, which pits the common people against a corrupt elite. Populists play on discontents that reflect genuine failures of the establishment, but their approach also readily maps onto the ancient anti-Semitic canard that clandestine string-pulling Jews are the source of society’s problems. Once people become convinced that the world is oppressed by an invisible hand, they often conclude that the hand belongs to an invisible Jew.
Another such force is isolationism, or the desire to extricate the United States from foreign entanglements, following decades of debacles in the Middle East. But like the original America First Committee, which sought to keep the country out of World War II, today’s isolationists often conceive of Jews as either rootless cosmopolitans undermining national cohesion or dual loyalists subverting the national interest in service of their own. In this regard, the Tucker Carlsons of 2024 resemble the reactionary activists of the 1930s, such as the aviator Charles Lindbergh, who infamously accused Jewish leaders of acting “for reasons which are not American,” and warned of “their large ownership and influence in our motion pictures, our press, our radio and our government.”
Populism and isolationism have legitimate expressions, but preventing them from descending into anti-Semitism requires leaders willing to restrain their movement’s worst instincts. Today’s right has fewer by the day. Trump fundamentally refuses to repudiate anyone who supports him, and by devolving power from traditional Republican elites and institutions to a diffuse array of online influencers, the former president has ensured that no one is in a position to corral the right’s excesses, even if someone wanted to.
As one conservative columnist put it to me in August 2023, “What you’re actually worried about is not Trump being Hitler. What you’re worried about is Trump incentivizing anti-Semites,” to the point where “a generation from now, you’ve got Karl Lueger,” the anti-Jewish mayor of Vienna who inspired Hitler, “and two generations from now, you do have something like that.” The accelerant that is social-media discourse, together with a war that brings Jews to the center of political attention, could shorten that timeline.
For now, the biggest obstacle to anti-Semitism’s ascent on the right is the Republican rank and file’s general commitment to Israel, which causes them to recoil when people like Owens rant about how the Jewish state is run by a cabal of satanic pedophiles. Even conservatives like Trump’s running mate, J. D. Vance, a neo-isolationist who opposes foreign aid to Ukraine, are careful to affirm their continued support for Israel, in deference to the party base.
But this residual Zionism shields only Israeli Jews from abuse, not American ones—and it certainly does not protect the large majority of American Jews who vote for Democrats. This is why Trump suffers no consequences in his own coalition when he rails against “liberal Jews” who “voted to destroy America.” But such vilification won’t end there. As hard-core anti-Israel activists who have engaged in anti-Semitism against American Jews have demonstrated, most people who hate one swath of the world’s Jews eventually turn on the rest. “If I don’t win this election,” Trump said last week, “the Jewish people would have a lot to do with a loss.”
More than populism and isolationism, the force that unites the right’s anti-Semites and explains why they have been slowly winning the war for the future of conservatism is conspiracism. To see its power in practice, one need only examine the social-media posts of Elon Musk, which serve as a window into the mindset of the insurgent right and its receptivity to anti-Semitism.
Over the past year, the world’s richest man has repeatedly shared anti-Jewish propaganda on X, only to walk it back following criticism from more traditional conservative quarters. In November, Musk affirmed the Great Replacement theory, replying to a white nationalist who expressed it with these words: “You have said the actual truth.” After a furious backlash, the magnate recanted, saying, “It might be literally the worst and dumbest post I’ve ever done.” Musk subsequently met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and accompanied Ben Shapiro on a trip to Auschwitz, but the lesson didn’t quite take. Earlier this month, he shared Carlson’s discussion of Holocaust revisionism with the approbation: “Very interesting. Worth watching.” Once again under fire, he deleted the tweet and apologized, saying he’d listened to only part of the interview.
But this lesson is also unlikely to stick, because like many on the new right, Musk is in thrall to a worldview that makes him particularly susceptible to anti-Jewish ideas. Last September, not long before Musk declared the “actual truth” of the Great Replacement, he participated in a public exchange with a group of rabbis, activists, and Jewish conservatives. The discussion was intended as an intervention to inoculate Musk against anti-Semitism, but early on, he said something that showed why the cause was likely lost before the conversation even began. “I think,” Musk cracked, “we’re running out of conspiracy theories that didn’t turn out to be true.”
The popularity of such sentiments among contemporary conservatives explains why the likes of Carlson and Owens have been gaining ground and old-guard conservatives such as Shapiro and Erickson have been losing it. Simply put, as Trump and his allies have coopted the conservative movement, it has become defined by a fundamental distrust of authority and institutions, and a concurrent embrace of conspiracy theories about elite cabals. And the more conspiratorial thinking becomes commonplace on the right, the more inevitable that its partisans will land on one of the oldest conspiracies of them all.
Conspiratorial thinking is neither new to American politics nor confined to one end of the ideological spectrum. But Trump has made foundational what was once marginal. Beginning with birtherism and culminating in election denialism, he turned anti-establishment conspiracism into a litmus test for attaining political power, compelling Republicans to either sign on to his claims of 2020 fraud or be exiled to irrelevance.
The fundamental fault line in the conservative coalition became whether someone was willing to buy into ever more elaborate fantasies. The result was to elevate those with flexible approaches to facts, such as Carlson and Owens, who were predisposed to say and do anything—no matter how hypocritical or absurd—to obtain influence. Once opened, this conspiratorial box could not be closed. After all, a movement that legitimizes crackpot schemes about rigged voting machines and microchipped vaccines cannot simply turn around and draw the line at the Jews.
For mercenary opportunists like Carlson, this moment holds incredible promise. But for Republicans with principles—those who know who won the 2020 election, or who was the bad guy in World War II, and can’t bring themselves to say otherwise—it’s a time of profound peril. And for Jews, the targets of one of the world’s deadliest conspiracy theories, such developments are even more forboding.
“It is now incumbent on all decent people, and especially those on the right, to demand that Carlson no longer be treated as a mainstream figure,” Jonathan Tobin, the pro-Trump conservative editor of the Jewish News Syndicate, wrote after Carlson’s World War II episode. “He must be put in his place, and condemned by Trump and Vance.”
Anti-Semitism’s ultimate victory in GOP politics is not assured. Musk did delete his tweets, Owens was fired, and some Republicans did condemn Carlson’s Holocaust segment. But beseeching Trump and his camp to intervene here mistakes the cause for the cure.
Three days after Carlson posted his Hitler apologetics, Vance shrugged off the controversy and recorded an interview with him, and this past Saturday, the two men yukked it up onstage at a political event in Pennsylvania before an audience of thousands. Such coziness should not surprise, given that Carlson was reportedly instrumental in securing the VP slot for the Ohio senator. Asked earlier if he took issue with Carlson’s decision to air the Holocaust revisionism, Vance retorted, “The fundamental idea here is Republicans believe not in censorship; we believe in free speech and debate.” He conveniently declined to use his own speech to debate Carlson’s.

I need more people to talk about how just like the POC designs, the writing is terrible at clueing the audience what race and ethnicity the characters are.
Beside stereotypes, the racial coding in the writing is little to non-existence. The characters don’t have mannerisms from their cultures, speak in slangs or idioms relating to their group from their time periods, or make cultural references.
Without having to rely on outside sources (Livestreams, looking up VAs, leaked audition sheets, etc), the only characters I would successfully guess would be Vicky, Val, and Velvette, and even then, it doesn’t mean the racial coding is good.
Vicky is the only one from this list whose racial coding isn’t atrocious. I can tell she’s Latino because she curses in Spanish, but that’s it. This is admittedly nick-picky , but I wish when cursing she would have used Salvadoreño specific slang and curse phases to signal she’s Salvadoreña.
Val, I can tell is Latino too, because of his accent and him cursing in Spanish, but it’s egregious. The accent fluctuates so much, it’s strong, then weak, then strong again. Not sure if the VA was struggling or if this was an intentional direction given to him, though the fact, I and other people were confused, at the direction, speaks for itself. Another issue with his accent is how it’s sexualized, contributing to the Latin Lover stereotype of his character.
Velvette, I won’t sugarcoat it. I wouldn’t even guess she was supposed to be black though the writing or the majority of her designs until the finale. The finale, the last episode of the season and the only time she has textured hair with her screen time being around two minutes and sixteen seconds in total.
Visual designs isn’t where race coding ends. This is important to remember because it ignores the good coded characters (King Dice from Cuphead, Darwin from TAWG, the Funk trolls from Dreamwork’s Trolls) and how Viv failed and could have done the racial coding better.
For Viv, she has to rely on other coding methods too because there are characters who aren’t humanoid enough, or even humanoid at all, for visual coding to work. There really isn’t anything I can say to explain why the race coding sucks beside Viv doesn’t care about representing POCs.
I wanted to create this post to highlight how Viv fails at coding in every aspect. The fandoms and critics shouldn’t praised her for giving Velvette textured hair or darkening Sera’s skin from her leaked audition sheet. We need to stop praising creators, especially white ones, for doing less than the bare minimum (The bare minimum being making POC characters look POC) when creating POC characters, or worse, justify it. I’ve seen people tried to justify the terrible POC designs by using one of Carmilla’s daughters as an example, as if one decent POC design in a sea of ashy and euro-centric or erased features for the majority of the POC cast suddenly invalidates the criticisms.
I’m also getting tired of the fandom making posts questioning why people have and still draw the POC characters as white, as well as people harassing artists for accidental whitewashing. I’m hate the whitewashing too but in this case, it’s different because this is Viv’s own fault due to her poor racial coding. Not every fan will have the same intense knowledge you do or even should, to know what a character’s race or ethnicity is, that’s Viv’s responsibilities as the creator.
Mind you, these were the human designs we had before the show aired. Alastor being mixed creole and Niffty being Japanese yet they look white as hell here.

Sturniolo enemies to lovers
Warning: I put sfw and nsfw together, I didn’t separate them bcs they’re almost like a storyline.
Chris sturniolo
🌺 when Chris hates you, you better believe he hates you with a passion
🌺 he’ll definitely hold on to a grudge forever. Like even if it’s something you did in middle school, he’s still thinking about it.
🌺 on that note, something like that is probably the reason you hate each other. Like you were probably friends with all of them until you did something to piss Chris off
🌺 you stopped being friends with Matt and Nick, just because Chris was slandering you and exaggerating everything you did to make you look like the bad guy.
🌺 in high school everyone knew about your rivalry.
🌺 like it was so bad that even the teachers knew about it. They would do everything in their power to not have you two sit near each other in the few classes that you did share (wich weren’t a lot).
🌺one day, one teacher got pretty pissed off at the fact that you two couldn’t function normally when being in the same room, so she paired you guys up for a project in hopes that you’d make up.
🌺 Chris isn’t an ass to most people, in fact he’s pretty bubbly and even childish. He’s really talkative and all. But with you. No.
🌺 you meet up for the project, but not so surprisingly, you get nothing done.
🌺 instead you two hooked up. There was just too much tension between you two. And it turned sexual quick.
🌺 you make it a habit and become friends with benefits, kind of.
🌺 well you still don’t text, and if you do it’s simple “come over”s.
🌺 you’d never say that you ‘need’ him. It’d inflate his ego too much.
🌺 he’d sometimes film your altercations. For personal benefit, and to embarrass you. Not that you would take it.
🌺 whenever one of you was submissive, it would definitely be a brat and brat tamer dynamic.
🌺 sometimes Chris would feel stubby, even then he’d never willingly submit.
🌺 even if Chris would film you to embarrass you, he’d never show those videos or pictures to anyone. Ever. (Same the other way around)
🌺 when they started to do YouTube and car videos, Chris would always sneak in disses.
🌺 like he’d make a backhanded comment about you or smt, and Nick would have to edit it out later on.
🌺 one day Chris thought it’d be a great idea to ask Nick for all the cut footage where he makes comments about you.
🌺 so on your birthday Chris posts a video on his personal YouTube, where he first talks to the camera and wishes you a happy birthday with the fakest smile ever.
🌺 the rest of the 20 minute video is just sequences ranging from full on rants about how much he hates you, to backhanded comments about you.
🌺 you feel offended, but really you’re shocked by how much Chris really talks about you.
🌺 so you just comment on the YouTube video with “damn, you talk about me so much🥺” sarcastically, obviously. Chris doesn’t pin it, but a bunch of people seeing the video like it giving you a permanent place at the top of the comment section.
🌺 you start your own YouTube channel just to hate on Chris.
🌺 sure you were making TikTok’s and going pretty viral there too. You’d make GRWM’s where you talk about how much you hate ‘orange’.
🌺 you’d only ever refer to chris as orange, because he used to be known as the orange hoodie guy, or as Christopher.
🌺 your YouTube blows up. And at first you were mainly just doing Minecraft lets plays (it was 2021 ok), where you were taking about your Emanze hatred a little more.
🌺 on your TikTok’s, Chris would comment things like. “Using me for clout now too 🙄”
🌺 the sassier, and ruder your comments got the harder Chris would fuck you.
🌺 whenever you said something extra, you could almost be sure that Chris would be at your house to fuck you stupid.
🌺 you’d also given Chris a spare key tho your house. Wich probably wasn’t that good of an idea but you didn’t care either way.
🌺 you reconnected with Matt and nick. you started to talk to them again
🌺 wich pissed Chris off, only because now his brothers would stop him when he went to shit talk you.
🌺 your hatred for each other definetly lasted for forever.
🌺 but one day when Chris finally realized that he didn’t want you to be with someone else it clicked.
🌺 but it was seemingly too late.
🌺 Chris and his brothers moved to LA for better opportunities while you stayed back in Boston.
🌺 and while Chris genuinely thought the only reason why you were getting views was him, he was wrong.
🌺 once he moved away and you two stopped talking, your content started to shift too and you started to get more recognition as well.
🌺 whenever Chris came back to Boston, wich wasn’t that frequent, you’d hook up a few times.
🌺 but as soon as he left it was like that never happened.
🌺 on the triplets birthday you’d post a picture of you four together on your insta story wishing them a happy birthday. But you’d cross out Chris’ face.
🌺 a whole year passed like that. Until the drake and Kendrick beef (💀).
🌺 after Kendrick dropped euphoria, you used it on TikTok, the part that’s like “I hate the way you walk..” and tagged Chris in it. You captioned the video “a day as the biggest hater.”
🌺 it seemed like the internet suddenly remembered your past content and the pretty public beef between you and Chris.
🌺 people started to edit you two together to that audio.
🌺 even worse ship you, and say shit like “enemies to lovers”, “they’re just in denial” and whatnot.
🌺 after months of radio silence Chris reached out to you again telling you he’d be home for Mother’s Day and that you two would need to talk.
🌺 you left him on read, but when he showed up at your house at the time and date he’d told you, you opened the door and let him in.
🌺 this time he wasn’t there to fuck tho.
🌺 he’d noticed what your favorite flowers were back in high school. And after all you’d even gotten the flower tattooed.
🌺 he got you your favorite flowers.
🌺 you looked at him all confused.
🌺 and suddenly he was confessing to you.
🌺 your jaw dropped. After all you’d realized you were in love in those months of radio silence between meet ups, but you didn’t think it was mutual.
🌺 “if i actually hated you, we wouldn’t have ever hooked up”
🌺 in the end he took you on a few dates.
🌺 you flew out to LA just for shits and giggles, and rented your own apartment there.
🌺 you and Chris made it official and finally told his brother that you’d been fucking since junior year.
(Literally almost the plot of enemies (with benefits))
Matt sturniolo
🌺 first off, I feel like it’d be really hard to even get Matt to hate you.
🌺 so I feel like you were either childhood friends and have always hated each other, or you’re an influencer he met at a party.
🌺 in the secound option, he’d probably think you’re really fake and feel awkward or uncomfortable around you.
🌺 but somehow you get really close to Matt’s brothers Nick and Chris, and with you being around all the time he starts to develop this hatred to you.
🌺 weather that be because he hates the way you act, or because he’s trying to suppress his feelings.
🌺 anyhow, he goes on to pine for you for so long.
🌺 and Nick and Chris can tell, so they hype him up to tell you that he likes you wich he ends up doing.
🌺that or like I said you’ve known each other for long. In wich case Matt’s been hating you since forever.
🌺 he doesn’t even know why it started, he just hates you.
🌺 he also doesn’t go flaunting around that he hates you like Chris would, only your inner circle and friends know you hate each other.
🌺 despite not saying it out loud, your hatred for each other is intense.
🌺 you could barely stand being next to each other.
🌺 tho all the mean comments that were made were made in your mind, you barely ever said anything out loud.
🌺 when you two did get into a fight it would be a yelling match. Because you may be physically smaller than him, and he could probably (definitely), pick you up and throw you around if he wanted to.
🌺 you could yell and you could yell loud.
🌺 your comments are creative, mainly from how much you hung out with Nick.
🌺 also, your hatred for each other didn’t dim down your friendship with Nick or Chris, mainly because you are so quiet about your hatred.
🌺 usually you’d win the argument just because you had a retort for practically everything Matt could say.
🌺 you had to do everything together, because of how close your families are.
🌺 so all three of your would go to the gym together, or to parties, and school, and whatnot. You shared plenty of classes with Matt too.
🌺 you’d watch each other closely. Not to admire, but to criticize the other in your head and figure out small weaknesses about the other to used in future outbursts.
🌺 over time tho that started to change. You’d notice all the small stuff about each other.
🌺 Matt started to unintentionally do stuff to make your day to day life easier.
🌺 he’d find random reasons to take AUX from Chris and give it to Nick instead. All because nicks music taste is closer to yours
🌺 or when he was cut if fruit for himself and you were home he’d leave some cut on the counter for whoever would take them, hoping it’d be you.
🌺 he noticed what brand of lipgloss you use and got it and put it in his car where you usually sit on your way to school, because the knows you tend to forget your stuff and get all upset.
🌺 you don’t notice any of this tho. Especially the lipgloss one. You just assume that you forgot the lipgloss in the car the day before and don’t think anything of it.
🌺 you, or well your parents would buy soda. You had always made it a point to never get root beer. But recently you’d gotten a few cans and put them in the fridge. You don’t even like root beer that much.
🌺 your brother doesn’t mind them tho. So sometimes he’d drink them, and you just told yourself you were getting them for your brother and definetly not for Matt.
🌺 in the fridge you always had coke cherry, Pepsi, and Fanta, but now also root beer.
🌺 you started to be able to read Matt like a book. Well you could before too, but before you only cared about what he was possibly judging you for, now you noticed everything.
🌺 one day you were in your shared class with Matt. You’d noticed that he was tense all day. Suddenly he ended up getting up taking his stuff and storming about of the classroom.
🌺 you were shocked at first. Matt was never confident enough to just leave like that, right?
🌺 you had a gut feeling that submerging was definitely wrong, so you packed up and followed him. Something that you wouldn’t have done a few months ago.
🌺 he was standing at the front door to the school. You rushed up to him to see him crying and hyperventilating.
🌺 you guided him outside to his car. You put him in the passenger seat. And since you can drive you drove to a parking lot down the road from your school.
🌺 that was the first time you weren’t internally mocking him. You felt empathic and sorry for him.
🌺 the line between hatred and love was always thin, but it started to blur more and more as the days passed.
🌺 when the triplets started to gain fame on YouTube, and were planning on moving to LA, Nick asked you to move with them.
🌺 since you’re childhood best friends Chris and Nick ‘wouldn’t know what to do without you’. (You just know how to cook and they wanted you there as their personal chef 💀)
🌺 since you weren’t going to collage anyway and still had you side job from back in high school, you quit.
🌺 you started to post more on TikTok and gained a following.
🌺 if you told freshmen you that you’d live in the same house as Matt in the future she’d laugh in your face.
🌺 it wasn’t clear when your dynamic had shifted fully, but once it had it was almost like you were dating.
🌺 if Matt was sitting on the couch watching a movie and you wanted to watch they movie too, you’d sit close to him and cuddle.
🌺 if you were making a snack , you were making two. One for Matt, one for you. If Matt didn’t want it, anyone could have it for.
🌺 if Matt went grocery shopping with one of his brother she made sure to get your favorite soda, and also the to follow the list of things you need home that you’d sent him.
🌺 the fans thought you were dating. But not for no reason either. There were plenty of reasons.
🌺 when Matt, Nick and Chris got their nails down for the first time, Matt got the same color as you.
🌺 if you were bored he’d let you paint his nails, or you’d cuddle or you could play with his hair.
🌺 at that point Chris and Nick were convinced that you’d gotten over your hatred, or that you’ve always had loved each other and were finally dating.
🌺 but you weren’t. And when Nick asked Matt about it he tried to deny it.
🌺 yet now the idea was in his mind, and sure enough he got you your favorite flowers and finally asked you out.
Nick sturniolo
🌺 when Nick hates you, he hates you with a passion. He’s a born hater after all.
🌺 but then again he hates you so much that he would like to avoid anything and everything that has to do with you.
🌺 you guys share one class, and he skipped that class so many times until his brother started to force him to go
🌺 you’re on the same lacrosse team as his brothers. So Nick would have to decide between not going and avoiding you, or going and supporting it brothers.
🌺 his brothers would always get a mouthful before and or after the game.
🌺 because you are a lacrosse jock Nick thought you were straight. After all you had girls swooning all over you all the time.
🌺 and Nick, up until sophomore year, had so much internalized homophobia in him.
🌺 you didn’t really come out either, but when Nick came out you heard through the grape vine.
🌺 while Nick was all for hating you it was almost one sided.
🌺 you two would rarely get into arguments, because of how little you talk, but when you did it was mainly just nicks angry ranting.
🌺 you wouldn’t reply. Because Nick has a way with words. He’d find a way to twist and turn your words in a way to make an even worse arguments and you didn’t want to fuel the fire.
🌺 once Nick came out he realized just how attractive he thought you were.
🌺 on your lacrosse games he wasn’t even watching his brother, just you.
🌺 your parents weren’t homophobic, but because of how jocky you are they didn’t think that you were gay.
🌺 you first came out to Matt and Chris, just because they’re one of your closest friends, and Nick is gay, so they should accept it right?
🌺 they took it great, and you got the confidence to come out to your parents too.
🌺 Chris and Matt had promised they wouldn’t tell anyone. And they stood with that they hadn’t even told Nick.
🌺 one day you were having yet another argument with Nick, but this time instead of letting his mouth run like you usually would, you pressed your lips in his.
🌺 you didn’t even know if Nick was into you like that. You just needed him to shut up for once.
🌺 Nick kissed back, wich was a whole surprise on its own.
🌺 you ended up telling Nick that he needs to shut the fuck up, and use that mouth for something good.
🌺 that was the first time Nick sucked dick.
🌺 you had gotten head from some random girl before, wich made you realize just how little you were into woman.
🌺 yet when Nick did it, it just turned you on so much.
🌺 after that the next week Nick avoided you even harder. No backhanded comments, not glares from across the room. nothing.
🌺 you went to nicks house, knocking on the door you prayed it’d be Nick that answered.
🌺 he did, and he almost shut the door into your face too embarrassed to even meet your eyes.
🌺 but you grabbed the door and pushed it back open, inviting yourself in.
🌺 “Nick, we should talk.” “No.”
🌺 Nick is stubborn when he wants to be. And he will ignore everything and anything in his way.
🌺 “please just listen” “what the fuck is there to talk about? I didn’t even fucking know you were gay until I was sucking your dick!”
🌺 just when you were about to respond you saw Matt and Chris out of the corner of your eyes.
🌺 your eyes widened and you groaned loudly. You rubbed your face. He just couldn’t have said that louder.
🌺 Nick was embarrassed too when he saw his brothers behind him.
🌺 he ended up pulling you to his bedroom where you finally talked things out.
🌺 Nick was dead set on not officially dating you until you’d taken him out on a date and properly asked him.
🌺 wich is just what you did.

JFC that concert was truly amazing! Transport and crossing the border was obviously a hassle, and we made it just in the nick of time, but otherwise it was AMAZING.
I got to meet him during the meet n greet which was obviously lovely, I didn’t make a total ass of myself shockingly enough. When he found out me and my girlfriend had the same name he laughed and said it would be easy to remember.
As for the QNA I was able to ask a question (context: he mentioned his hatred for Genius Lyrics during the previous question) and I asked him if there was any particular take on that website that he hated in particular, like if anything stood out or came to mind. And he went on this rant about people misinterpreting Vampire Reference in a Minor Key, which eventually turned to him expressing his pain over people misinterpreting his intent because ICIMI in general. The entire time he made such intense personal eye contact with me as if we were just two people having a conversation about his music it was amazing.
The concert itself was wonderful and so was the story told throughout, a beautiful personal look into Will Wood’s past. Will not say more so I don’t risk spoiling anyone else’s experience with this show. Jokes are phenomenal, singing was superb like his cover of Better Then the Alternative left me breathless. And the bit about him reading erotic fanfiction of himself literally had me in stitches.
After the show my girlfriend happened to catch him as he was leaving the bathroom. She thanked him for the show and said it was wonderful, and he said, I shit you not, “thank you [name]”. I think I said “he remembered our name” at least 15 times after that.
We thought that was it, and that that was all we would see of Will Wood until his next concert, but nope! As we were waiting outside for our uber and chatting with some fans who were doing the same, he comes out and starts looking around outside while also talking to some people and whatnot (I was in conversation with another fan atp and it would be rude to ditch them mid sentence but I digress). Apparently he got locked out of the venue so he was just standing around shooting the shit with some fans as he was waiting to be let in.
I was super nervous in every single interaction with him I had had with him up to this point, so I was just like… fuck it, be confident, and I just started talking to him as he talked to a few other fans. I made a joke about him being locked out here with an angry mob of fans to start, to kinda introduce myself into the conversation. After that someone asked if the flower in his pocket was real or fake and he said it was fake, so I said it looked impressively realistic and also found a way to compliment his whole outfit and how well all the shades of black matched (apparently he got his whole suit from amazon basics which I’m obsessed with). And then My girlfriend asked him a question about american paper money and asked if americans complained about how frail their money is, and i managed to slip in another joke about how we can accidentally wash our wallets and not be fucked.
Truly a remarkable and worthwhile experience! will definitely post the photo when I get it I’ll just censor my face (I can’t not post it)

Oneshot idea:
Chris or Matt and you are in a relationship. They don’t stick up for you when a celeb girl hits on them in public to “keep the peace” but this leads to ANGST.
was it worth it? - m. sturniolo
warnings: cursing, fighting, angst
basically the request but with my own little twist.
————————————————————————
here i was at yet another stupid influencer party that my boyfriend dragged me to, he knows this isn’t really my thing, you see matt and i have been together for nearly a year but we’ve decided to keep our relationship a secret from the public just a few friends knowing.
matt was currently talking to group of people potentially talking about collaborating or something similar to that, i was a few feet behind him giving him the space he needed.
i looked at him from the kitchen seeing how he was laughing and joking around with his friends until a girl came touching him in ways i didn’t like, leaning into his ear whispering things with a smile on her face even making her punch him in a flirting way she turned around and i finally got a good look at her. my heart dropped.
chelsea monroe an instagram model with blonde hair and blue eyes— knowing who she is and not in a good way— was now flirting with my boyfriend what hurt more was that he flirted back.
i was less than six feet away witnessing my boyfriend cheating on me like i wasn’t even there trying to distract myself from the heartbreak i started speaking to madi.
-
nick and chris had ubered back to their house an hour ago i would’ve gone with them but matt had told me he wanted to drive me home and that’s what he did.
“are you hungry?” he asked as we got into his car “no” i responded looking forward he started the car his hand finding its way on my thigh making me push it off making him put it back i pushed it off again.
“y/n are you okay?” he asked as he looked towards the road and back to me “yup.” i responded “are you sure?” he urged “definitely” i replied. “y/n” he stated “matthew” i said looking at him with a straight face “okay, what the fuck is wrong you never refer to me as matthew unless something is wrong” he said looking at me for a spilt second before turning back at the road.
“nothing is wrong.” i mumbled with a straight face “y/n don’t be fucking immature and tell me what the fuck is wrong!” he argued “nothing is fucking wrong now drop it!” i slightly yelled.
the rest of the ride was quiet the only sound being the radio playing faintly, as we arrived at my house i quickly unbuckled my belt and started to open my door when matt spoke again.
“i’m sorry for what i said but if you need anything just call me okay?” he says softly “okay.” i said before i fully got out of the car “i love you” he stated before i slammed the car door and made my way into my house quickly locking it.
not even five seconds after i got in i get a phone call pulling it out and looking at the caller id
“what matt?” i sighed “you didn’t say ‘i love you’ back” he mumbled “yea and?” “you never not say it back” he sighed “yea well i’m tired bye” i replied hanging up.
that was the last time i spoke to him, that was friday night now it’s sunday i’ve spent all weekend crying ignoring all his texts and calls only keeping contact with chris and nick.
-
i kept the no contact thing all week and before i knew it it was friday again knowing the triplets had another party to go to i decided to have a night to myself and rewatch ‘supernatural’ while eating ice cream or any other snacks i could get my hands on.
i was three hours into the show when my phone lit up with a notification ‘matthew.sturniolo just posted on their story.’
clicking on the notification my heart drops i couldn’t believe it he was posing with chelsea she was leaning into him his hand on her waist a perfect view of his neck— hickies covering his neck and lipstick slightly smudge on his lips her lipstick.
that was my breaking point i paused my tv walking towards my room pulling out his duffel bag and a box in the duffel i put all the clothes he’s left here over the time and in the box all the the gifts he’s given me. i was done and i wasn’t going to let him hurt me.
i don’t remember falling asleep but i woke up on the couch with a few missed calls from matt, i didn’t answer but i instead texted chris and nick in the group chat we had without matt
ME:
could yall come over? i have a few things i need you guys to pick up.
CHRIS:
yea let me just order an uber we’ll be there in like 10 minutes or so
NICK:
we’re on our way.
after a few minutes i hear a knock on my door already opening the door i let the boys in and made my way to my room to pick up the duffel taking it back to the living room and handing it to a very confused nick.
“give that to matthew” i said with a straight face “matthew? full name that can’t be good what’d he do” asked nick “he cheated” i stated calmly “he what?!” the both replied nearly yelling “yea you guys didn’t see the photo?” i pulled out my phone to show them the picture “that son of a bitch!” exclaimed chris “well good you’re breaking up with him” chimed in nick “wait i thought you’d be more heartbroken about this” question nick “well i was the first time it happened but i realized that if he really loved me he wouldn’t be a two timing bitch” i scoffed
“good for you!” praised chris as he smiled at me with that nicks phone rang “speaking of the devil” he sighed “what’s up matt? what? no we haven’t heard from her” he smiled winking at me signaling that he was asking about me after a while they hang up “well we have to go but we’re in your side no matter what!” nick said as he got up and gave me a side hug then picked up the duffel heading outside.
“if you ever need anything or something don’t hesitate to call or text me or nick okay?” he mumbled into my hair as we hugged “okay thank you so much i love you guys so much” i mumbled back letting go of the hug.
-
ring ring
i picked up my phone to matt calling i hung up and turned back around to go to sleep but my phone kept buzzing not letting me.
“hello?” i responded groggily “what the actual fuck y/n!” matt’s voice boomed through my phone’s speakers making me pull it away a bit “huh what are you talking about?” “why did chris and nick just bring me a duffel with my things in it?” he angrily asked “because i’m breaking up with you” i stated “what?” he laughed “i’m. breaking up. with. you. understand?” i broke down each word like if i was speaking to a baby “why are you breaking up with me?” he scoffed “hmmm i don’t know maybe because you cheated on me with chelsea?” i asked “what? i didn’t cheat on you!” “don’t make me laugh matthew i have proof from text messages to the story you posted last night”
“look im sorry i made a mistake but baby please don’t do this i-i love you!” he begged into the phone “maybe you should’ve thought about that before you cheated bye matthew and by the way i hope she was worth it.” i spoke before i hung up the phone.
————————————————————————
okay this is not as good as i wanted it to be but hopefully you like it pookie 😰

hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii❤️❤️ i love your chris fics, could you write one about how y/n has been best friends with the triplets for a while now & has been on their podcasts and also in their car videos but her and chris has had a secret relationship but fans start speculating when a photo surfaces of her & chris having matching nails painted?? like maybe hers is green with a black heart on one finger and his is black with a green heart? thank you!!
slip ⮕ c.s.
word count: 1.1k
warnings: secret relationship, angst, comfort, she/her pronouns
summary: you’re feeling a little overwhelmed with hiding your relationship, but chris knows exactly what to do
a/n: this was very cute to write, and i LOVED it 💓 i couldn’t find a good reference picture for your exact idea, so i changed it just a smidge xx
everything written is completely fictional. the people i write for are written with characteristics and mannerisms that i made for them, this is in no way depicting what would actually happen in real life.
“Nick, what did you post?”
Nick looked up from his phone and frowned.
“What do you mean?”
You opened your phone, hundreds of notifications flying in at once on your most recent post. “I’m getting like, a million comments about me and Chris. Did you say anything?” You asked. You knew he didn’t but you were confused as to why everyone was asking about your relationship.
“Of course not, it’s just a photo of all of our hands making a star.” He said, standing up and walking towards you. You clicked on Nick’s story, seeing the photo of all of your nails and sighing.
“I didn’t realize how obvious it was.” You grumbled, locking your phone and rubbing your hand over your eyes.
“Do you want me to delete it?” He asked. You shook your head.
“No, no. It’s fine, really.” You said. “It just caught me off guard, you know?”
You’d never really been in the limelight, ever. Their social media presence always baffled you, especially when you and Chris had gotten together. You’d known them forever, but it still confused you.
It wasn’t until your followers started growing out of nowhere that you realized how much impact that they truly had. Seeing the enormous amount of people who were crazy about them who also wanted to see more of you in videos wasshocking, to say the least. You also didn’t understand how perceptive fans could be.
Every other comment was about the way Chris looked at you, and how when you started speaking, even if he was in the middle of talking, he’d stop and listen intently. You’d seen countless edits on Tiktok of you and Chris, the way both of your eyes lit up when talking to each other, whether you were in the background of a video or front and center.
It was crazy, seeing the way these people were completely right about something that you and Chris hadn’t even hinted at.
Nick sighed and shook his head. “I’m sorry, I wasn’t even thinking about your matching nails.”
“No, no. Don’t apologize, it’s fine. I just wasn’t expecting the uproar.” You said, laughing quietly to yourself. “It’s really no big deal, honest. Don’t beat yourself up about it, it’ll be fine. Its more suspicious if you delete it, anyway.” You said, resting your hand on Nick’s shoulder.
You pulled away and gestured towards the stairs. “I’m gonna go talk to Chris, I’ll see you later.” You said, Nick nodding his head. The last thing you wanted was to upset him, but you knew he’d be okay. You walked up the stairs to Chris’ room, dropping down on his bed next to him and looking over at him. He looked over at you, his eyebrows raised.
“Well, hello. What’s up?” He asked, locking his phone and dropping it on his chest.
You sighed through your nose and shrugged, looking up at the ceiling. It was hard, keeping this secret. You knew it was for the best right now, but you wished you could show off your boyfriend like other people.
“That was convincing. What’s going on, love?” He asked, turning onto his side and propping his head up on his hand and looking down at you.
You met his eyes again, nothing but concern shimmering in the icy blue of his iris’. You sighed again and shook your head.
“How long are we gonna keep hiding this?” You asked, your voice small. “Are you…ashamed of me?” You felt pathetic asking him something like that. He’d never made you feel that way, but you couldn’t help but wonder.
He frowned down at you, his jaw slack before he spoke. “Of course not, where did that come from?” He asked, resting his free hand over you and pulling you closer to him. He rested next to you, pulling you until your arm was wrapped around him and your head was resting on his chest.
“It’s stupid, forget I said anything.” You said, relaxing completely when his fingers began carding through your hair. His free hand entwined in yours, his thumb lightly running over your knuckles at a steady pace.
“Well, I’m not going to forget about anything. My girl thinks I’m ashamed of her, and I want to know what made her feel that way.” He said, your heart skipping a beat at the title. You looked down at both of your hands, smiling at the little frogs on his last three fingers. He had playfully whined about how the frogs would look goofy, but eventually admitted that it reminded him of Frog and Toad, and he was glad he did it.
“I just…I want to be able to show you off, you know? I know you want to keep it a secret, and that’s fine and I understand. It’s just…I want to be able to post pictures for our friends and families to see, if that makes any sense.” You rambled.
Chris was quiet for a while, but you could tell he was thinking. It wasn’t often that he was quiet, but you knew that when he was, he was genuinely trying to think of the best way to answer a question or the best solution to an issue. He sat up then, pulling himself from you quickly and adjusting a pillow to rest against his bed frame. You watched as he leaned back and met your eyes, your eyebrows furrowed in confusion. He patted the mattress between his knees.
“Come here.” He said. You chuckled and shook your head but complied. Your back was resting against his chest. He rested his hand over yours, entwining your fingers and lifting your hand up. “Straighten your hand.” He said, his voice soft. You smiled, and turned your head to look at him, but did as he said. He straightened his as well, both of your nails on display. He picked his phone up off of the mattress and opened his camera. The camera flashed, your brows furrowed as he let go of your hand and opened Instagram.
“What are you doing?” You asked. He shushed you as he created a new post and clicked on the picture. Your heart rate spiked as he typed a caption, tagged you in the photo and hit post. You pulled away from him as he locked his phone, your eyes wide as you met his. “Why did you do that?” You whispered.
Chris’ smile was contagious, your own making its way across your face as he shrugged his shoulders.
“My finger slipped.”
You shook your head at him, your heart feeling like it was going to burst as you leaned in and pressed a kiss to the tip of his nose.
“I love you, you dork.” You whispered, Chris practically beaming up at you.
“I love you, too.” He said, his voice almost lower than yours.
You could feel the vibration of his phone against the mattress, your own phone going crazy in your pocket, but you didn’t care. It hit you just then why people were so crazy about him—because how could they not be?

Found you through your UT post and oh my stars your use of colors is stunning !! I want to reference your art/coloring to enhance my own, do you have any tips?
Hello :3 sorry for my late reply haha! I was putting this off cuz I don't really follow a lot of basic rules in colouring cuz im lazy BUT . I will however B] gladly show you my awfully rushed attempts at trying to show my process! Featuring my man Nick
Again, my colourings extremely stylized, if you're looking for accurate ways to study I rlly suggest looking up some tutorials on YT or smth haha When I shade, I like to jump between cool and warm tones a lot! I know people often cell shade or do black and whites but im cringe and free
I really rely on the rendering/painting process a lot for my work <:3 Your tones are obv gonna depend on your environment and lighting, but let's pretend we're just doodlin smth random I literally just overlay colours until I'm like "Yes, this looks great to me!" (I say thru tears)
You can see in a lot of my work that I just do a lot of overlapping, usually using 3-4 different shades/tones to colour something specifically Most of the time colouring the lineart or just going over the top of everything with hatches or random lines can make a piece look really good haha I'm sorry if this is hard to understand at all! I'm no good at tutorials or explaining what I do </3 I just go ham and call it a day haha
You're more than welcome to reference my art whenever you colour! :) I think if you wanna get things more accurate though there are plenty tuts on Youtube and around Tumblr! Ty for ur kind words <3
#ask#sorry this is a word dump#anyone who makes fun of my awful spelling or grammar LEAVE ME ALONE IM DYSLEXIC AND TRYING GJRNGKJRNG#anyways#unhelpful aubs but u know we try#dont reblog my misery UHBFEJEFKJ
