SUNDAY
“I really don’t think it’s all that crazy,” Nick states, his arm thrown over Dallas’ waist as they lay in his bed.
“Just because it’s crazy, doesn’t mean it’s bad. It’s very crazy if we get married. We’re only 19,” Dallas says through a sleepy voice. They’ve been talking about Nick’s proposal from a month ago. Dallas knows her answer, yes of course, but she still can’t get herself to go through with it. She’s too ridden with fear of their relationship failing because of an early marriage. She just needs a push, though. One push so she can say yes.
“So what? Nathan and Haley got married while they were still in high school. I know our relationship is strong enough to last through anything,” he brings out the big guns, referencing one tree hill, one of their favorite shows to binge together.
“That’s just a show, babe. It isn’t real life.”
“It can be real life for us,” he sighs, hand caressing her cheek as her hand rubs at his shoulder.
Screw it. She’s going to go with her gut and heart and finally answer his question. Maybe they can go browsing at thrift stores for vintage dresses. It is Sunday after all.
“Nick, I love you so much.”
“I love you.”
She kisses his lips, barely brushing against them.
“I will-“
“Nick! You have a visitor!” The couple hear the shout from behind the door.
Nick gives a confused look to Dallas before getting off the bed and getting dressed.
“I’ll be right back,” he says, walking out the door.
Dallas stays frozen, angered that her opportunity got ruined. She gets off the bed, throwing on one of his shirts that has his last name on the back, and follows her boyfriend. When she gets to the front door, she freezes, feeling a sense of discomfort washing over her. Her boyfriend was hugging another girl. Another girl who is absolutely beautiful. She has soft skin, long red hair, and the greenest eyes she’s ever seen. Her smile is beautiful and Dallas thinks she might be feeling jealous. Who is this girl and why is she hugging her boyfriend?
When Nick finally lets go of the unknown girl, he turns around and is quick to spot Dallas. His smile is wide, like a kid on Christmas.
“June, this is a close friend from home, Inez.”
So she has a name. Inez. It’s beautiful and rare to Dallas’ ears.
“Inez, this is Dallas my girl-“
“His fiancée,” Dallas interjects, reaching out her hand for Inez to shake.
“Fiancée? Wow, Nick, you never told me you were getting married. Congrats,” she cheers, although Dallas can hear the surprise in her voice.
Nick’s stuck on Dallas, silently freaking out that she just called herself his fiancée. He’s shocked by her words, not really understanding why she’d introduce herself with that title without even giving him an answer first. He shakes his conflicting thoughts out of his head, not wanting to open up that conversation at the moment.
“Yeah, my fiancée,” he pulls his girl into his arms.
“Well, Dallas, it’s really nice to meet you. I can’t say I’ve heard much about you though,” Dallas grits her teeth, her brain starting to create reasons as to why Nick never brought her up to his friend. She didn’t know that Nick hasn’t talked to Inez in months.
“I can say the same,” she decides to answer with.
“I guess that means we have to get to know each other. I hate to impose, but I really need to shower all the airport off of me. Do you mind, Nick?” Her voice is soft and sweet. Dallas finds it annoying.
“No, go ahead.”
Once she’s out of sight, Dallas turns to Nick with a questioning look.
“Okay, so who are we getting to babysit her while we go to the thrift stores?” Dallas asks, albeit a bit rudely, but she disguises it by leaning up to wrap her arms around his neck.
“She’s not a child. I can’t go to thrift stores today. I need to stay here with Inez,” he says softly. He’s bothered, she can tell by the way he barely touches her.
“It’s Sunday, though. We always go to the thrift stores,” she points out.
“Well, I can’t go today,” Dallas doesn’t know it, but by Nick not going, or suggesting they take Inez, he’s protecting their sunday tradition. He does feel guilty for breaking it, though. They always go to the thrift stores on Sunday unless he has a hockey game or other team requirement.
“Are you serious?” She spits out, already wanting to burst into tears. He’s never put her second to another girl.
“I’m sorry, baby,” he kisses her forehead.
“It’s whatever. I’m going to head out, stick to my Sunday tradition,” she mutters, throwing a low blow at him. The tradition did start off as her own, so she’s letting him know that it’ll always be hers even after involving him.
He feels his heart pang in his chest at her comment.
Dallas trudges through his room, collecting her items and dressing in her clothes. She walks past him, not even saying bye, and makes her way to her car.
If she sped all the way to her favorite thrift store while blaring angry Taylor Swift, well no one had to know.
Dallas hates to admit it, but being at the thrift store doesn’t feel the same without Nick. She kicks herself for being so harsh. She knows she’s in the wrong, and probably being too jealous, but she couldn’t help it. How could he choose Inez over her? Over their sacred tradition.
Sweet, perfect Inez. Dallas rolls her eyes at the mere image of her. Stopping at one of the mirrors in between aisles, she stares at herself. She hates that she’s letting herself dig a hole that she knows she won’t be able to climb out of. She takes a deep breath in, slowly breathing out every insecurity and horrid thought of the girl that now plagued her mind. When she opens her eyes, she spots an old wedding dress. It’s the most beautiful dress she’s ever seen. It has a bunch of lace and it was made in America. It’s also vintage and in perfect condition. A rare find. Dallas immediately puts it in her cart, feeling giddy at the thought of her wearing it when she marries Nick.
About an hour later, Dallas decided to head to checkout, purchasing the dress, a white button up for Nick, and a fancy watch for him as well.
Once back at her own place, in her room she finds an old box that’s ready to be filled with anything that has to do with their wedding. She feels a little crazy thinking about it, but she knows that she wants to marry Nick. She knows that she doesn’t want to wait.
MONDAY
Dallas opens her door to find Nick who immediately pulls her into a bone crushing hug. He noses at her hair, inhaling her addicting scent and kisses her lips a few times.
“I’m sorry. I love you.”
“I love you, Nicky.”
“I hope it’s okay that I brought Inez with me,” and just like that Dallas is back to feeling unwell.
She sucks it up, welcoming the girl into her home. She hopes that her smile didn’t falter enough to show just how much she didn’t like the idea.
“You decorate so nicely,” Inez compliments as she makes herself comfortable on the couch, opposite of Dallas who’s in Nick’s arms.
“Oh, thank you. A lot of it has to do with my roommate and best friend, Sienna. She’s going to be an interior designer,” Dallas says, trying to put on a friendly smile.
“That’s cool!”
“So, how long have you and Nick been friends?” Dallas asks, intertwining her fingers with Nicks.
“Since 5th grade! We have gone through a lot together. Nick has always been the one I do everything with,” Inez says with a sadness to her tone. Her smile isn’t as bright, but it’s still genuine.
“Wow, the 5th grade? That’s a long time. You must know each other very well,” Dallas concludes.
“We do! When I saw the instagram post of your Halloween costumes, I was very surprised. Nick has never really cared for Halloween and doing the whole couples costume thing. As well as when Nick told me he proposed on Valentine’s Day; I was in shock. I’ve never known Nick to like that holiday or be so romantic,” as Inez says all this, Dallas can feel her heart sink into her stomach.
Every word being spoken to her starts to fade out and she feels like the guy sitting next to her isn’t who she thought. To everyone it may have been him lying about those two holidays- that most people don’t even consider holidays, but a lot of pivotal memories happened during those events. Without even realizing it, Dallas stoically pulls her hand from where it was cradled in Nicks. Eerily feeling like a stranger in her own home.
Inez and Nick only spend a couple more hours with the girl, talking and laughing while everything continues to be reevaluated in Dallas’ mind. She tries to smile and converse with them, but she just feels so out of place.
It’s not until they leave that she feels like she can breathe. She has time to go through everything and think about how he technically lied to her. Why wouldn’t he tell her that he didn’t care for Halloween? She wouldn’t have made him dress up with her.
She moves throughout the day, but everything seems to pass her by. Even when Nick comes by later that night to bring her food, she’s not even present.
“What’s wrong, baby?” Nick cups her cheek, trying to get her to connect eyes with him.
Dallas feels her tears trailing down her cheeks, although she isn’t aware that she’s actually crying until Nick frowns in worry.
“She’s your best friend,” speaking those words is almost impossible. It feels like burning bile in her throat, because she’s supposed to be his best friend, but how could she when felt like she didn’t even really know him.
“What’re you talking about?” His voice is soft and low. He continues to wipe away her tears as they fall.
“Inez, she’s your best friend,” she whispers.
“What? No, no, she’s just my friend. You’re my best friend,” he corrects her, his head shaking furiously.
“No! She’s your best friend and I’m not. I didn’t even know that you don’t care for Halloween or Valentine’s. I feel like I don’t really know your true self. What else do you not like? What else do I not know about you?” Dallas rips herself from his hands, moving to her bedroom so Sienna wouldn’t have to hear them.
“We’re always learning new things about each other, so there’s a lot we still don’t know, but that’s what the rest of our lives are for. As for Halloween and Valentine’s, I never felt like I had to tell you. You love Halloween, so I wanted to dress up with you. You actually made me love it because it was so much fun. You love Valentine’s Day, so I wanted it to be as special as possible,” he explains, trying to hold her but she continues to pull away.
“That’s not the point though! You could’ve told me, because I want to know every little thing about you. I just feel like I don’t know you as well as I thought. It’s a bit off putting,” she says.
“Well, now you do know,” Nick tries to make light of the conversation, but it just makes her upset.
She wants an apology. She’s not sure if this whole thing warrants one, but it’d be nice to know that she isn’t overreacting and is understood.
“Can you please leave?” She shuts her eyes, not willing to let more tears fall.
“Seriously?”
“Yes, Nick. I need you to leave. You obviously don’t understand why I’m upset, so just leave,” she blurts out.
“Fine. I love you, June,” he kisses her forehead. Nick pauses at the door, waiting for her to tell him to stay, but those words never come.
TUESDAY
Dallas throws herself into all her schoolwork as a much needed distraction. When she’s not doing schoolwork, she’s working on dismantling and reassembling the wedding dress she bought from the thrift. She may be upset with Nick, but she is still getting married to him.
She uses one of the scrap pieces of lace from the dress to be part of Nick’s white button up. She dyed the fabric black, cut out her initials and stitched it into the cuff of the sleeve. For her dress, she only saved certain parts of it. She saved the bodice, part of the skirt, and all of the lace. She decided to add thin straps and rework the lace into a veil. She wants a very simple, light wedding dress.
In the process of distracting herself from her little spat with Nick, she goes to a jeweler to get Nick’s watch she bought engraved. “You are my forever,” sits delicately in cursive on the back of it.
There may be a little retail therapy included in her small trip, but that’s only between her and her credit card.
After having a quiet dinner and mini fashion show with her best friend, she decides that it’s not worth being mad at Nick. She has to get over it and move on, because at the end of the day she loves him.
She smiles when she nears his room, his voice filling her ears.
“Yeah, I don't know what was going on last night. I guess she’s just being insecure because you’re here,” Dallas hears Nick say to who she’s assuming is Inez.
She can physically feel her blood start to boil, her heart thumping and mind racing. Before thinking about it, she throws his door open. Nick turns to see her, his face going pale at the realization that she heard his words. The three stare at each other, waiting for someone to break. It’s Dallas.
“Fuck you!” She shouts, turning around.
“June, wait!” Nick runs after her.
“Why, so I can hear you tell your best friend how your girlfriend is so insecure? No thank you,” she spits.
“Well, what else am I supposed to think? You acted crazy for me not telling you about Halloween. You said how she’s my best friend! You called yourself my fiancée when you never even answered my proposal in the first place. Which by the way, makes me feel like you don’t even love me, so yeah sorry for thinking you were insecure,” he blurts out.
Dallas feels her tears spill, her body shaking with nerves. Is this really happening right now? It really hurt to be accused of being jealous just because she accepted his proposal. She’s also being accused of not loving him. She really was going to say yes before Inez even showed up. It’s not her fault they got sidetracked by the red head.
“How dare you say that I only want to marry you because of her! How dare you say that I don’t love you. And you know what, she is your best friend, because you’re here gossiping to her about me. I can’t believe you told her that instead of making sure I was reassured. I guess it’s only okay when I reassure you whenever you get jealous. I don’t even give you a reason to feel jealous,” she rants.
As she goes to walk out his door, he tries to stop her once more.
“June, please don’t leave. Shit, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have told her that. I’m sorry for not being nicer about it, or talking to you about it. You’re the only one who matters,” he apologized.
“Don’t call me that anymore. You’re not my boyfriend and you’re not my fiancé,” she whispers, too scared to look up at his face.
“What? C’mon, please. We can talk about this. We can fix this. I can fix this, just tell me what to do. I’m sorry. I messed up, I know that, but we can’t break up. We’re getting married,” she clenched her eyes shut, not daring to see his tears. She knows he’s about to cry by the way his voice continues to crack.
Her back is to him, so he comes up behind her to pull her body into his. If it weren’t for the arm wrapped around her waist, she would’ve crumbled into the floor. She can feel his tears hitting the material of her sweater. It makes her heart break that much more. She hates that she’s hurting him, but his words hurt her. The way he openly talks to Inez about her as if she’s anybody but his fiancée. If roles were reversed, he’d feel the same way she’s feeling.
“No because apparently I don’t love you,” she throws his words back at him, having to pull away from him as his shoulders start to shake.
“Please. Please, I know you love me. I was being an asshole and I made a mistake. I’m sorry,” he pleads.
“I need to leave,” she says, walking away.
She feels like a robot on the walk back to her place. The cold bites at her skin, but it’s nothing compared to the way her heart aches and her stomach twists. She finds herself at Luca’s place, immediately sobbing against him when he pulls her into a hug. That night she watches the moon, silent tears falling as she tries to banish every thought she has of Nick. She can’t go home, not when there are traces of the hockey player in every single corner. His cologne and shampoo are embedded in her pillows. His clothes fill up a section of her closet. There are notes and pictures of them littered on her dresser and night stand. Ignoring him seems impossible.
WEDNESDAY
Deep breath in. Deep breath out. Focus on classes, go to a Pilates class, and then start working on some designs for her future clothing line.
That’s Dallas’ plan. A solid plan that will stop her from drowning in her tears and guilt. It will also distract her from the multitude of phone calls from her brother and Kent. If only she knew that last night Nick called Blanks in shameful tears to tell him what happened.
Soft purring breaks the girl’s attention of planning out her day. She feels sir’s soft fur as he rubs against her leg.
“Hi, sir moldy. Hi cutie, mommy loves you,” she coos, caressing her black cat who isn’t so small anymore.
Her soft smile starts to disappear as she thinks about her cat not seeing his favorite person, Nick. The ache in her heart makes itself known again.
Snap out of it.
Dallas vows to stay out of her dorm the entire day until her eyes are practically shutting with sleep. Dressing in a cute outfit and putting on her favorite lipstick, she’s out of her door before she can second guess her plan. Who says you can’t be cute and heartbroken at the same time?
Her two morning classes go by without a hitch, the girl finishing any remaining assignments for the week within an hour after they finish. Her work ethic when she’s trying to distract herself is insane.
After a small lunch, Dallas finds the nearest restroom to change into her workout clothes, but when she walks out she sees Nick in the direction she needs to go. Everything around her seems to freeze except for him. His movements are sluggish and his eyes are tired. She turns the other way just as they make eye contact. For a second she thinks she sees him try to get her attention, but she doesn’t stay around to find out.
Dallas makes sure to take a heated Pilates class instead, needing to sweat out every issue that’s clogging her brain. It works but only for a couple hours. Eventually the sweat dries and now her problems feel tacky on her skin. She couldn’t go back to her apartment, though she desperately needed a shower. If she were to go back, she’d just get sidetracked by all the things her ex has taken over in her room.
She drives out to a lookout spot, putting her car in park so she can draw up new prospects for her clothing line. It’s a bittersweet moment. A lot of her inspiration would spark when she was with Nick. She has to remind herself that her clothing line has always been something she wants. It’s something that she has to be one hundred percent sure about. There’s no time for her to be hurt and in return be neglectful to something she’s worked so hard for.
She has to remember to be grateful for the things that are still in her life.
It’s almost midnight when she returns to her apartment, finding Sienna cuddled up with Sir on the couch.
“Nick tried to see you like a few hours ago. He told me to tell you that he wants to talk,” Sienna says, not even in her apartment for a minute and Dallas already wants to leave again.
“Of course he wants to talk. He can fuck off for all I care. I made up my mind and he needs to deal with it. He can go talk to Inez,” the girl says with an agitated edge to her tone.
“Look, D, you know I love you, but maybe you should talk to him. I know he fucked up majorly, but you should still talk to him,” she brings her into a hug.
“Why, so he can relate it all back to Inez like the best friend she is? So he can try to convince me that she’s not his best friend? I don’t need to hear it,” she spits, removing herself from Sienna’s arms. She heads to her room to shower off the day and sleep for as long as she possibly can.
THURSDAY
“Have you told her about it?” Inez asks Nick in the quiet of the library corner they’re in.
“No. Not yet anyway. I am soon because I know she’s going to be upset if I wait any longer- even if we’re broken up. Hopefully the breakup won’t last too long, though,” he responds, eyes cast down on the paper he’s been procrastinating about.
“She’s not going to be happy. Maybe you shouldn’t tell her. If she finds out we took each other’s virginities, she’s going to be so much more mad,” Inez says, reaching out her hand to rest over Nick’s. It’s meant to be comforting. Nick still pulls his hand away, though.
“Yeah, just let me lie to my fiancée again about something much worse than commercial holidays. No, I need to tell her,” he snaps.
“I’m just trying to protect you. She’s not your anything anymore anyways,” Inez sneered.
“Well don’t,” Nick feels that Inez is partially to blame for his whole breakup. It’s not fair and to some extent, he knows that, but he doesn’t want to blame himself.
“How’re you going to make up for the whole insecurity thing?”
“I don’t know. Grovel, probably or explain why I said it.”
“Maybe you’re just not meant to be. I mean this is kind of crazy to get upset about, especially when she claims she’s your fiancée,” Inez reasons.
“Don’t talk about things you don’t understand.” The conversation ends there.
The entire day, Nick is constantly looking for Dallas. Outside the rooms he knows her classes take place, at her favorite on campus cafe, and around her favorite spot she likes to chill and write at. No matter how busy it is, it still feels like a ghost town with her absence clearly present.
Dallas watches Nick as he looks around. It seems as if he’s lost, but she knows that he’s looking for her.
She saw him at the library with Inez. She watched the way Inez was talking with her expressive hand gestures and the way Nick's face grew red. Dallas doesn’t know that it was out of annoyance and not in happiness.
To Dallas, they looked so comfortable as if they’re the ones who've been dating for months. Inez’ smile was easy to compare to the breathtaking sight of the sun after a few gloomy days. Her cheeks were coated in a perfectly shade-matched blush. Her plump lips were the perfect shade of pink. She had the prettiest ribbon tied in her red hair, and she just knew her perfume was heavenly. Dallas so badly wished she was the one talking to Nick, covering his hand with her own.
She’s never been someone to be jealous as she’s so confident in herself. Now, she finds herself wishing to be Inez, but hating that she’s has got to the point of where she doesn’t want to be her own person anymore. She also hates the way she never gave Inez a chance, the way she never let herself like her because she’s so likable. Maybe her and Nick would still be together if she didn’t immediately feel jealous of Inez. Dallas feels like she’s going to go insane with the way she keeps bottling up her every emotion towards the girl and her ex boyfriend or fiancé. Nevertheless, she keeps walking with her head held high, well as high as she can get it without her eyes blurring with tears. That elegance and grace she’s learned through ballet comes in handy at this very moment as she remains in a balance of sanity.
She’s so close to entering her apartment building when Nick catches her.
“Dallas!” Her body freezes, literally not being able to move her feet, but she can feel her heart rate speed up.
“Dallas, please let me talk to you,” Nick whispers once he’s close enough to the girl.
“What do you want?” She turns to face him, avoiding his eyes.
“I need to tell you something and after that I will have no more lies or things I’m keeping from you,” he says, but Dallas stays quiet, afraid her words will come out as shouts.
“Inez and I lost our virginities to each other in high school,” he blurts out, waiting in tense silence for Dallas’ reaction.
Dallas feels her heart being crushed between his two fingers. She thinks there’s a big possibility of her passing out on the cold ground. At least that impact won’t hurt as much as this. She finally snaps her head up, looking at him with a glare.
“Look, I never meant to hide it from you. I just knew that if you found out after all that’s happened, you’d freak-“ he’s cut off by a sharp slap to his cheek.
Dallas feels her palm grow warm and start to sting. Her eyes are wide, shocked that she just laid a hand on him. She watches the way Nick’s eyes start to tear up. He knows that this is it. She opens and closes her mouth, not sure what to say or if she should apologize for hitting him. She decides to slowly back away, not able to get herself to turn away from him. She watches his distraught figure as she backs away, tears trailing down her cheeks.
Her body moves on autopilot, reality finally crashing over her when she enters her apartment. Sienna watches with fearful eyes, not having ever seen her best friend in a state like this. Dallas looks at Sienna, her tears still falling. Again, words fail to come out of her mouth as she opens and closes it. Then, it’s like all the shock dissipates and anger takes over. Her eyes are going dark and her features are hardening. She marches to her room, ripping open her closet door. She starts yanking hangers away from each other, throwing out each piece of Nick’s clothing.
All the withheld anger and sadness came bubbling out of the girl in the form of screams. She couldn’t stop it as she shoved every article of clothing that belonged to him in a box. Did 19 year olds act like this? Well, they do now. Poor Sir got so scared he ran to the living room as his mom cleaned every spot that’s been stained by her ex boyfriend. Her movements come to a halt when her eyes land on her wedding box. The tears crash on her with so much weight she falls to her knees, sobs wracking her body. Sienna’s quick to rush to Dallas, immediately hugging her.
“Hey, it’s okay. Let it all out,” she murmured.
“He lost his virginity to her,” she whispers.
Sienna’s eyes widen as she hugs Dallas tighter.
“Shit. I’m so sorry.”
“Am I crazy for being upset? I feel like it shouldn’t be a big deal, but I’m just- I’m so hurt,” Dallas says through sobs and hiccups.
“You have every right to feel the way you do. I’m here for you for whatever you need,” Sienna attempts to soothe her.
“I just- I need to go to my room and calm down.”
“Okay.”
Dallas lugs her heavy body to her room, showers and then neatly packs everything that belongs to Nick in a box. She debates on whether or not she should give him the wedding box, too. Part of her still believed that she should continue to hold onto it because maybe things will get better. Then, she thinks about the new piece of information he just blurted out and she wants to die all over again. She feels that familiar burn of tears in her eyes, so she does the one thing she loves to do when her brain is too loud, write.
Instead of writing in her journal, she decides to write on a single piece of paper. Instead of writing how she feels, she writes a letter that’s a semblance of a goodbye. It’s everything the next girl needs to know or love about Nick, written from someone who loved him probably too much.
THE LETTER
To whoever gets to love Nick next,
He will pretend to like something you love just to make you happy. Don’t get mad at him for hiding the fact that he doesn’t like it. Just love him for wanting you to be happy.
Nick loves hockey, so you have to love him as a hockey player. No matter all the insane expectations that come with it, or how he’ll drive himself up a wall just to be great at something he loves.
Nick is such a goofy person- even when it’s time to be serious. I think it’s because he loves to see the people around him smile, so don’t get annoyed by his untimely silliness.
If you ever get the opportunity to be given a gift from Nick, prepare yourself. He’s one of the best gift givers I have ever met. It just goes to show how easy it is for him to remember everything about someone he loves.
Cherish the vulnerable moments. Don’t take his feelings for granted; they’re a big piece of him and that type of information is hard for anyone to confess to someone they’re scared to be hurt by.
I love you Nick, and in another universe, in another lifetime, our love will have been enough.
Dallas folds up the letter and places it on top of everything in the box. She picks it up, every memory and emotion weighing heavily in her arms. She trudges back to the living room, ignoring Sienna’s worried gaze as she sets the box down by the front door.
“If Nick happens to come by, or any of the hockey boys, give it to them. Thank you,” she mutters, walking back to her room.
FRIDAY
“Dallas, c’mon! I know you’re home, your car is parked outside. Please, please let me in. We need to talk and I want to see our cat,” Nick shouts from outside her door.
When Dallas first heard the knocks, she was doused in sleep. Then she heard his voice, and she was suddenly wide awake.
“No, you’re not coming in to see MY cat. I don’t want to talk to you, so leave,” Dallas cracks the door open just a bit, so she knows that he hears her.
“Dallas, please. Please let me fix this,” he pleads.
“No!”
“Nick, you need to leave. Here’s a box with all your things,” Sienna intervened, handing the box over to him while Dallas sat on the couch.
Nick’s face falls, his eyes getting watery and he searches his mind for words to say. Sienna closes the door before he gets the chance to speak up.
“Are you okay?” She asks Dallas.
Dallas furiously shakes her head. “I can’t be here. I need to go.”
“Okay where are you going?” Sienna follows Dallas to her room, watching her as she packs an overnight bag.
“Buffalo.”
“Buffalo? That’s a bit of a drive. Will you be able to make it?”
“Yes. I don’t want to go to Ohio, and I can’t stay here. I’ll be back before Monday. Thank you for being here for me. It means a lot. I love you,” Dallas says, hugging Sienna.
“Of course. I love you, too.”
Dallas rushes to her car, but she’s still seen.
“D!” Dallas halts her steps when she hears Rutger’s voice.
“Hey, Rut.”
“Where are you going?” He asks, spotting her bag.
“Somewhere for some peace and quiet,” she says.
“How are you feeling? I know everything has been kinda shitty lately.”
“I’m holding it together as best as I can. I’m really hurt and I just need to get away from here for a day or two,” she explains, her exterior softening at Rutger’s sincerity.
“I’m sorry about everything. If you need anything, Luca and I are here for you.”
“Thank you. It means a lot, but you know I can’t. Umm… anyways I have to get going. Thanks for asking about how I was doing. I’ll see you around,” she moves to turn away, but he just pulls her into a short hug.
“No matter what happens, please don’t stop being our friend,” he whispers.
She nods her head, separating herself from the boy before the remainder of her heart shatters. She gets into her car and sets off for Buffalo.
The long drive was cathartic as she belted out lyrics to Taylor Swift- even through all her tears. She also got a ton of fresh air that she desperately needed.
It’s dark when she makes it to where she was going. The person she was trying to see wasn’t even home, so she spent a couple hours outside their front door. Dallas is sure she got a ton of concerned- even judging looks as she accidentally fell asleep with tears dried on her cheeks.
“Dallas?”
The girl startles out of her nap, immediately jumping up when she sees Owen. Owen Power, one of her favorite people. She collapses into his arms, her tears falling once again.
“What happened? Are you okay? Does anyone know you’re here?” He holds her tight.
“Blanks knows I’m here. I broke up with my boyfriend and I just needed to leave because I see and feel him everywhere,” she explains, the shattered pieces of her heart piercing through her skin.
“Let’s get you inside. You probably need some sleep especially after the long drive.”
After some much needed food and a shower, Dallas finally explains everything to Owen. He’s less than impressed, but he’s really good at comforting her.
“I don’t know. I just feel like this whole week I’ve been acting like some crazy girlfriend. Do you think I’m crazy for feeling and acting this way?”
“No, you’re valid. Except for the whole Halloween and Valentine’s thing, that’s not too big of a deal. He was just trying to make you happy. Now, him telling that girl you’re insecure and saying that you don’t love him was out of line. I’m sorry that you went through that, but I am glad I get to see you,” he tells her, bringing her in for another hug.
“Thank you for understanding. I’m happy to see you, too. Now, I need at least 12 hours of sleep, so goodnight. Will you be here tomorrow morning?”
“Yeah. I’ll make you breakfast.”
As Dallas falls asleep that night, Nick is beating himself up as he reads Dallas’ letter. The once neat paper is littered with tear drops.
SATURDAY
Nick is breaking many traffic laws just to get to Buffalo. It took Rutger telling him that she was leaving and a million apologies to Blanks to find out where she was. He was ready to lay his heart on the line, or in her palms.
Nick doesn’t know she’s staying with Owen, he just knows where she is. When he knocks on the door, he’s surprised to see a very tall man with long hair.
“Nick.” Owen knows him from Dallas’ instagram.
Nick recognizes the other hockey player, but that doesn’t stop him from pretending otherwise.
“Um, who are you?” Nick puffs out his chest, trying to disguise his true reaction. Owen is very large and intimidating as he crosses his arms over his chest.
“Owen Power, a good friend of Dallas.” Owen looks down on Nick, a testing expression painting his features.
“Is Dallas here? Can I talk to her?”
“I don’t know. Can you, or will you just go talk to Inez?” Nick looks taken aback at his remark.
So much for a great first impression.
“What are you doing here?” Dallas asks, moving Owen out of the way.
“I need to talk to you. Please, Dallas you have to let me explain everything,” he begs.
Dallas groans, her hands going through her hair as she moves aside for him to enter.
“What could you possibly say to me?”
“I know you’re upset that I just told you about how I lost my virginity to Inez, but it didn’t mean anything and she doesn’t mean anything to me,” he swears.
“You made me seem like I was crazy for feeling insecure! You had sex with her and I know that was long ago, but you’re with me, but still had her come visit you,” she responds.
“I didn’t know she was coming! Do you think if I knew, I would let it happen, or at least not tell you about our past?” He questions.
“You still let her stay! That’s the difference. If she didn’t mean a thing to you, why did you let her stay? If I had lost my virginity to Owen and had you meet him because he’s my close friend, you would go ballistic. If roles were reversed, you’d be just as jealous and just as upset!” She shouts.
“Speaking of Owen, why would you tell him our business? Sure seems like he’s your best friend when you said I was yours” Nick scoffs, jealousy creeping up on him.
“No! No, you can’t get jealous not right now. See! This is what I mean! You can get jealous all you want, but the moment I do, it’s wrong. Screw your double standards!”
“I was the one who was insecure. I have been asking you to marry me for weeks and you still wouldn’t give me an answer. Next thing I know, you’re introducing yourself as my fiancée. I felt like the prospect of our marriage wasn’t important to you, like you were just playing with my feelings to see how far you could go before I blew up. I fucked up so badly because I thought you wouldn’t want to marry me at all. If you had eventually said no, our relationship would be ruined. I’m sorry, Dallas. I’m sorry for making it seem like she’s my best friend. I’m sorry for keeping things from you, and saying that you don’t love me. I’m sorry for everything and I just needed to tell you that,” he says, watching as she cries.
“Here’s your ring, I forgot to put it in the box,” she says, barely loud enough for him to hear.
He immediately shakes his head, knowing that if he takes back the ring everything will really be over.
“I can’t take that back. It’s yours. It belongs to you,” he tries to say it with conviction, but his voice cracks and his tears start to fall.
“I can’t have it either,” she pulls the ring off, forcing it into his hands.
His shoulders are shaking and his lip wobbles. Nick wants to hold her in his arms, but he knows she’ll push him away.
Dallas wants to reach out to him as he walks away, but she fears it’s too late to take back everything she’s said and done.
“Nick?” She calls his name and watches the way he turns around within that second.
“Yeah?” His voice is unsure. He watches the looks she gives him. Her eyes are filled with want. She wants that connection.
He quickly walks back to her, pulling her into his arms.
“Why can’t you fight for me?” She questions, hurt laced in her voice. Her hands connect around his neck and he can feel her chest heave.
“I have been fighting. Not hard enough, but because you won’t let me fight for you,” he answers, hands rubbing her back.
“Fight for me, please,” she begs, her way of saying she’ll listen to what he has to say.
“I swear I didn’t mean to hurt you. I hadn’t talked to Inez since before I graduated high school, so her coming to visit was just as much a surprise to me as it was to you. I’m sorry for being an asshole and telling Inez that you were insecure. That wasn’t my place and that wasn’t her business. I should’ve made sure that you were secure in our relationship, because that’s my job as your boyfriend.”
“Fiancé,” Dallas corrects him.
“Yes, your fiancé. I know you love me with all your heart, sorry for ever doubting that. Inez is not my best friend and she’s not even really a friend. Not anymore. I told her she couldn’t be in my life, because if she stayed, I knew you wouldn’t and I once told you that I can’t live without you. That stands true. I want you even if that means giving up everything else. I’m sorry, June. I’m so sorry for being so careless with us,” he apologizes, his tears falling into her hair.
“I accept your apology. I’m sorry for being so emotional,” she says against the skin of his cheek as she softly kisses his face.
“You have every right to feel angry, sad, or hurt. I was truly an asshole,” he states.
“I’m so sorry for slapping you, Nick. I hate myself for putting my hands on you like that. I swear I will never do that again,” she sobs into his chest, that guilt finally breaking her down.
“I deserved it.”
“No, you didn’t. I saw how much that hurt you, emotionally,” she whispers.
“I love you, pretty girl.”
“I love you, always.”
Dallas pulls away, taking in the boy she loves so much. His hair is messy and his face is red from his tears.
“June bug, I want you in my life forever. I don’t care how young we are, or what people think, because I know that our love is enough in this lifetime and the next one. We will always find our way to each other. Will you please marry me?” He pulls out the ring from his pocket and kneels on one knee.
“Yes! Yes in this lifetime and yes in the next. I love you, Nick,” she answers, jumping into his arms and kissing his lips for the first time in what felt like forever.
a/n: I absolutely loved writing this and I hope y’all enjoy it! The title is a little combination of “All American Bitch” and “Lacy” by Olivia Rodrigo as I feel those two songs resemble what Dallas was going through. It also references the lace of the dress Dallas thrifted, beautiful but also delicate.

moving in
September 6, 2024
Gemma smiled fondly at her mother’s worrying and just let her mother ramble while she hugged her.
Gemma knew her parents were sad and nervous with Gemma moving out officially, it was a bit different than when she was away from home because of hockey and staying with someone or her going to collage, she is officially moving out of her home and starting a new chapter in her life.
“Mom i’ll be fine.” Gemma softly reassured her mom, she knew her mom would be worried because she was just as worried last year when Adam moved out.
“I know.” Julia agreed cupping her youngest cheek, it still shocked her everyday how fast her kids had all grown up and that Gemma is already eighteen.
“I’ll see you in a few weeks.” Gemma reminded her parents squeezing her Dad’s hand.
Gemma was already confirmed to be on the team on the upcoming season and her parents were planning to come see her first game that would be in Prague, unfortunately Adam definitely won’t be able to go and Luca most likely won’t be able to either.
Julia nodded and pressed a kiss to her only daughter’s head, “Ti Amo my Gem.” Julia softly whispered to her daughter.
“Ti Amo Mama.” Gemma sweetly whispered back and politely ignored the tears in her mom’s eye and she hugged her Dad softly.
Giuliano pressed a gentle kiss to his only daughter’s cheek. They didn’t need to share any words just a look with a smile before he let her go and wrapped an arm around his wife.
Luca frowned feeling incredibly old that his baby sister is old enough to live in her own apartment with her boyfriend all alone in a new city, “Are you going to be okay Gems?” Luca asked worriedly.
Luca has always has hated how much Gemma has been alone because of hockey because for almost his entire life he always had Adam and when he moved away from home he had Adam with him but Gemma is always on her own.
“I’m gonna be okay.” Gemma softly reassured her eldest brother, she was looking forward to start a new chapter in her life especially with Macklin. She was about to start living out the dream she has had for years she was excited not sad.
Luca slowly nodded believing Gemma’s words, “Okay.” Luca pulled her into a hug, “I’ll see you soon.” Luca promised and hugged her tighter before reluctantly letting her go and ticking her hair behind her ear and giving her one more soft smile before walking over to their parents.
“Come here.” Adam opened his arms for his baby sister and hugged her tightly, “Have fun okay. Enjoy this you have earned it.” Adam softly told her rubbing her back and he kissed the top of her head.
They pulled back from each other sharing one more smile with each other before Gemma started walking them out
She leaned on the door watching her family get in the elevator as she waved softly at them. She thought she would be more sad but if anything she’s excited to be living with Macklin.
Gemma watched the elevator doors close, Macklin came up behind her wrapping his arms around and his chin resting on her shoulder as she closed their front door.
Macklin’s family had only left a few minutes before Gemma’s family after they said their goodbyes to Macklin.
“You okay?” Macklin asked her softly kissing her cheek softly.
Gemma nodded slowly, “Yeah i’m okay.” Gemma softly reassured him as her hand rested over his hands. Leaving for Chicago a few years was a lot harder for Gemma but she is use to being away form her family most of the year now, doesn’t mean she doesn’t miss them all the time but she is used to it.
Macklin nodded accepting her answer as he knows what’s she means as Gemma started walking to their couch with Macklin still holding her from behind.
Macklin reluctantly let go of her so they go sit together in the couch and they looked out at the windows of the beautiful view of New Jersey.
Macklin wrapped an arm over her shoulder as Gemma cuddled into his side with her legs draped over his lap and he grabbed the pink throw blanket that was on the couch and threw it over them.
Macklin and Gemma were almost fully moved in already as their family were there to help them unpack and they also don’t have a lot of stuff between them yet.
Macklin thought Gemma had done really well decorating their apartment not that he expected anything else.
Gemma kept it pretty simple in decorations but there are few pink accents decorations that Macklin loves because it reminds him of her.
“We should get flowers when we get groceries later.” Gemma told Macklin as she was looking around the living room, dinning room and kitchen from where she was sitting on the couch and she saw the empty vases that she wanted pink flowers in.
“Whatever you want.” Macklin smiled softly kissing the top of her head, he had already planned to get flowers when they went out later knowing how much Gemma loves to have fresh flowers.
Gemma hummed softly back and closed her eyes letting out a soft sigh as she leaned her head on his chest, “I love you.” Gemma softly whispered to her best friend who is also her boyfriend.
“I love you too my sweet girl.” Macklin softly whispered back rubbing her back gently, “I got you a present.” Macklin grinned as he saw her head look up for her to peak at him.
“What is it?” Gemma asked curiously.
“Let me go get it.” Macklin gently sat up letting go of Gemma and walked to his room real quick and grabbed the small box out of his bag and opened it grabbing the thing in the box and walked back.
“Close your eyes.” Macklin softly told her hiding his hand behind his back. Gemma smiled and closed her eyes.
Macklin sat back down on the couch and moved her hair off her back and gently laid the necklace down on her chest shutting it close. He pressed a kiss to the back of her neck, “Open it.”
Macklin smiled watching as she looked down at the necklace and noticed the charm, a small 17, “Since it’s our number now.” Macklin told her already loving seeing her in their number.
Gemma beamed touching the necklace gently, it was perfect, small enough she could wear it all the time even for hockey, she turned towards him and pressed her lips to his, “Thank you Amore.”
“Always.” Macklin flushed a little red as he smiled at her and kissed her again.

Moving Day
Nick Moldenhauer x Dallas Blankenburg Moldenhauer
A so it goes blurb
Warnings: alludes to smut
Takes place: August 2024
“Daddy’s moving in! Daddy’s moving in!” Dallas cheers, holding her fur baby, sir moldy, tightly to her chest as she hops around their empty apartment.
Nick smirks at his wife as he sets down another box. His heart thunders in his chest at the sight in front of him, and the way ‘daddy’ slips from her lips.
“He’s going to give you so many treats. He’ll play with you and your favorite toys. Oh! Daddy will clean your litter box, because we’re the princesses of our own home,” she squeals in between a little ballet dance.
“Babe, he’s a boy so he’s technically a prince,” Nick jests with a sassy hand on his hip.
“Baby, it doesn’t matter. You love us all the same.”
“I would love you even more if you helped me bring some boxes in,” Nick suggests, wiping at the sweat on his forehead.
“I guess I can help my husband,” Dallas sighs in amusement, skipping away to place their cat in the bathroom so he won’t run out the open front door.
“I love you, baby,” Nick mutters once Dallas is back. He cups her cheeks and presses his lips to hers.
“I know,” she smirks and playfully nibbles on his bottom lip.
“God. Please save that for when we’re gone,” Rutger fake gags and Luca stands next to him with a hand shielding his eyes.
“I can’t make any promises,” Dallas grins and walks away.
The next couple of hours are long and extra hot. The sun seems to linger just on them while they move what looked like not too many boxes. Dallas guesses they have more than she thought.
The box in her hands almost slips when her husband walks through the door. His chest is bare and sweat gleams along the contours of his abs. His chain sits perfectly around his neck, making her want to tug on it. At the sight of his shorts hanging low on his hips, her knees threaten to buckle. She can’t help but gravitate towards him, her hands immediately reaching out to his waist.
“You’re so hot,” Dallas sighs and lets her hands wander the expanse of his back. She presses her lips into his chest and travels up to the pulse point in his neck.
Her lips spread into a grin against his skin when she feels his body release all its tension. His words even fall flat with the way his wife cards her fingers through his hair and sucks his bottom lip into her mouth.
“I’m so in love with you,” Nick mutters into her kiss, his tongue exploring her mouth so desperately.
Dallas pulls herself closer to him. Her legs beg to wrap around his waist, but she knows once she starts, she won’t be able to stop.
“I’m in love with you,” she responds, finally pulling away for some air.
The hockey player looks at her with his hungry, darkened blue eyes, his hands alerting her to his awakened lust as they travel lower to her ass. He grips the hair at the nape of her neck, pulling her head back so that he can access her skin. Plush lips dance across her pulse, the strokes of his tongue synced with her heartbeat. He sucks his way down to the swells of Dallas’ breasts, teeth nipping at her flesh to produce a whimper.
“Don’t stop,” she whispers and places her lips back on his.
Nick’s greedy hands start to paw at her boobs as he tries to blindly unbutton her top.
“Seriously guys?”
The sound of Luca’s voice barely breaks them out of their cloud of desire, making the couple slowly and dazedly pull away from each other. Dallas lifts her shoulders in a shrug as she wipes her mouth. She can’t help the smirk on her face, or the way her mind can’t stop picturing the image of them rolling around in the sheets of their bed.
“Sorry. It’s a bit distracting with Nicky being shirtless and sweaty. Plus, we’re still in the honeymoon bliss. I can’t control it,” she excuses, dramatically fanning herself before she bursts into flames.
It doesn’t help when Nick pulls her back into his body, arms wrapping around her tightly and his erection clear as day against her side.
“These are the last boxes anyways. We’re going to head out, but we’ll see you guys at dinner?” Rutger murmurs as he and Luca set down the remaining boxes.
“Sure,” Dallas hums, but it’s not certain. Not when Nick is whispering in her ear about all the things he wants to do to her.
Fighting off a shudder, the girl bids the other boys goodbye and hastily slams the front door shut.
“You little shit,” she grins as she jumps into Nick’s waiting arms.
“You love me anyway,” he coos, rocking her hips into his.
“Fuck yeah,” she sighs and lets her husband take her anywhere in the apartment as long as he peels off her clothing the second he sets her down.
They cannot wait to christen every corner of their home, undoubtedly making them miss dinner.

Caught Up In It All
nick moldenhauer x dallas blankenburg
a so it goes fic
warnings: jealousy, mentions sex, mentions underage drinking, and i think that’s all. (Let me know if i miss anything) This is also slightly edited
Dallas’ hips continue to grind up against Nick- even as the girl across the room continues to stare daggers into the couple’s heads. Nick’s hands are a good distraction as they travel all over her body. At first they held onto her hips, keeping her body flush against him, but then they moved up her torso. Now, one hand rests on her neck, angling her head up so he can seal his lips to hers. It’s like he knows someone is watching them.
The room is hot, sweat is dripping down the girl’s forehead. Her head becomes more and more fuzzy as their bodies sway sensually together.
Dallas makes eye contact with the same girl, so she gives her a cocky grin. Lifting an arm up, she throws it behind her, hand cupping the back of Nick’s neck as she starts to suck on his skin. There’s a red mark already blossoming in the area, highlighted by the glitter of her lip gloss. Dallas starts bending her knees, body going lower and lower as she dances in front of her boyfriend. He grabs both of her hands lifting them up as she gradually stands to her full height.
“Have I told you how sexy you are?” Nick pulls her into his arms, whispering his question in her ear.
She giggles, leaning more into his body before pecking his lips.
“You have many times, but you know I love hearing it,” she retorts, carding her fingers through his sweaty hair.
“You, my wife, are so incredibly sexy. I can’t wait to get my hands on you later,” he flatters her, nipping at her earlobe. Dallas swoons at “wife,” still not used to their recent nuptials.
“You’re the sexy one, husband,” she says hotly, hands going underneath his shirt.
“Do you want a drink?” He asks her in between hot kisses.
“Yes and while you do that I will go run to the restroom,” she says, kissing him before she leaves.
Dallas makes sure to fix her lip gloss, she cannot not have on lipgloss- especially when she’s at a party. After a few random selfies in the mirror, she makes her way out of the bathroom to find Nick waiting at the kitchen bar. With that girl. Dallas can feel the blood in her veins start to boil, the liquid courage egging her on as she confidently walks their way. Jealousy isn’t something she’s used to, but every now and then the green monster comes out to play.
Nick is clearly annoyed and the girl clearly isn’t getting the hint. He keeps backing up away from her each time she reaches a hand out to touch his bicep.
Act like nothing's wrong. Act graceful. No reaction is the best reaction.
“Baby!” Nick shouts once he sees his girl.
“Hi, handsome. What did you get me?” She greets him, pressing a kiss to his bicep and accepting her drink from his hands.
“Vodka and Red Bull,” he responds, pulling her under his arm.
“Who is this?” The girl in front of them asks Nick as if Dallas wasn’t even there.
“My wife, Dallas,” Nick informs her.
“Wife?” The girl partially shrieks, face showing an expression of shock and annoyance.
“That’s what he said, was it not? Who are you?” Dallas’ mouth speaks before she can think about what she’s saying.
“I’m Inez,” the girl, Inez, replies.
“Ironic,” Dallas scoffs, stopping her eyes from rolling no matter how hard it is. She is not in the mood to deal with another Inez.
“I was just talking with Nicky here about hockey. I love hockey. It’s so rough,” Inez explains with an overly eager tone. She attempts to reach out and squeeze Nick’s bicep, but Dallas subtly pushes her hand away.
“I’m gonna go back out to the dance floor. Come find me when you’re done here, Nicky,” Dallas says to Nick, mocking Inez’s nickname for her husband.
“No, stay with me. I’m just about to say goodbye,” he quickly responds, pulling Dallas back into his body. His arm goes over her shoulder, his hand coming down to affectionately squeeze at her boob. Dallas lets her smirk cover her features.
“So how long have you been married?”
“A month,” Dallas responds.
“Why get married so young? Did you get pregnant unexpectedly? Or are you just a money hungry slut going after his money?” Inez sneers, fixing Dallas with an accusatory glance.
Dallas and Nick are both stunned to silence. Dallas feels all sanity slip away as Nick starts to respond.
“Don’t ever talk that way about my-“
“Who the fuck do you think you are?” Dallas is pissed.
“I’m just asking questions. There’s nothing wrong with that,” Inez defends herself.
“You ask too many fucking questions. We’re married because we’re in love. No, I’m not pregnant and no, I’m not after his money. The next time you want to ask stupid ass questions, maybe ask yourself why you’re the slut trying to go after my husband. You’re lucky I’ve been drinking, or I’d be beating the shit out of you for disrespecting me and my relationship. Get the fuck out of my face,” Dallas snaps, chest heaving and cheeks a shade of red Nick has never seen.
“I’m the slut? Says the girl who’s always around all the hockey players. Nick, she’s probably cheating on you with the whole team,” Inez spews out more accusatory remarks.
“Don’t start talking shit about my wife, especially when you don’t know anything,” Nick blurts out.
“Don’t fuck with me. I’m not playing about fighting you. If I hear one more disrespectful word come out of your mouth, I’ll make sure that everyone knows you’re a husband stealing bitch. Or at least an attempted one, because why the hell would my husband go after you when he has me? Learn your place and get the fuck away from us,” Dallas finishes.
Nick turns her around, pulling her into a hug, simply done paying any attention to the girl.
Inez walks away, her turn to be quiet.
“Are you okay?” Nick whispers, pulling back some to check on his wife.
“I’m fine, I promise. I know you were about to tell her off, but I just couldn’t stay silent,” Dallas responds, voice timid. She’s beyond flustered because she’s not used to being in situations like that.
“I love you, June bug. You’re my one and only,” Nick kisses her lips, wiping away the few tears that fall from her eyes.
“Why are you crying?” He asks, rubbing her back.
“She ruined our night, and now people are looking at us because I caused a scene,” she mutters.
“No she didn’t. We’re going to go back on the dance floor and dance until our feet hurt, and then I’m taking you home and I’m going to fuck my beautiful wife until she’s seeing stars, because she’s the most important thing in my life,” her husband says, making her blush and feel giddy.
“Can we just skip to the sex?” She asks, jokingly, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing his lips some more. She hides her face in his shoulder, feeling the adrenaline crash.
“Come on, June bug,” he smirks at her, hands squeezing at her ass before he drags her to the dance floor.
“I think I need to get you one of the shirts about your girlfriend being hotter than everyone else,” Dallas shouts over the loud music.
Nick turns, pulling her body into his and smirks down at her.
“I wouldn’t be opposed to that. You are hotter than everyone else,” he says into the skin of her neck.
“You’re mine,” she whispers, leaning up to connect their lips in a bruising kiss.
“You’re mine,” Nick repeats, nibbling on her bottom lip before he dances the rest of the night away with his wife.

Deeper Than Oceans You Run, Watch As Our World Has Begun
Nick Moldenhauer x Dallas Blankenburg Moldenhauer
A so it goes blurb
Warnings: some insecurities and slight angst
Takes places during their honeymoon this summer
The full moon reflects on the darkened waves that lap at the couple. Nick and Dallas cling to each other, limbs tangled up in a perfect mess as they float.
Today marks one week into their blissful honeymoon. They’ve been having boozy, blistering fun on the white sand beaches in Tulum. They love being in love and being happy. There have been many endless kisses and bone chilling touches. Albeit the overwhelming rapture, Dallas can tell something’s wrong with Nick. Her husband has a faint furrow between his eyebrows and the corners of his lips don’t fully rise with his smile. Any other person wouldn’t even notice, but Nick is Dallas’ favorite worn in book. She can notice the slightest difference in anything he does.
“What’s wrong? You seemed down all day,” the girl pulls herself tighter into his chest and slides a hand into his curls.
“Just thinking a little too much,” Nick whispers, not able to meet her eyes.
“About what?” She asks, tilting his head up so he can look at her.
“Um… just about my future. In the nhl. I just- I don't know,” he mumbles and turns away despite his wife trying to keep his eyes on hers.
“Nicky, it’s all going to be okay,” she tries to reassure him.
“What if it’s not? What if I fail miserably, or what if I can’t be the player that I want to be?” Nick exasperates, eyes wide and his unshed tears glimmering in the moonlight. His voice is shaky and his chest is starting to heave.
“It’s going to be okay, baby. You’re a good hockey player and you never give up. You’re so committed to bettering yourself and that’s all that matters. Even if you do fail, I will be by your side, so unbelievably proud of you. I know you’re not going to fail, though. You’re Nick Moldenhauer, someone who has gone through a lot so early in their hockey career. You’ve had a lot of odds against you, but you’re here playing hockey for umich. You’re drafted and you’re going to be amazing,” she hums and wipes away the tear on his cheek.
“I just want to be able to take care of you, us, and our future family,” Nick admits, letting out a sigh when she nuzzles her nose into his cheek. Dallas softly traced over the scar on his jaw before pressing a soft kiss onto the raised skin. The girl feels a fluttery feeling grow in her heart at the thought of their future family.
“And you will be able to. If not, then I have no problem being your sugar mommy,” the girl jokes, trying to get a smile out of her husband.
“You’re my everything and the last person I want to let down,” he chokes out with a quivering lip. His words are pained, easily making her heart crack.
“You could never. I love you so much, Nicky,” she reassures him once again.
Dallas loops her arms around his shoulders and squeezes him tightly to her body. Heat builds where their soft skin touches, consoling Nick.
“I love you, June bug. I’m happy you’re my wife. It’s you and it’ll always be you,” he affirms and leans down to capture her lips in a kiss.
Dallas cups his cheeks, her legs wrapping around his waist as she gets lost in his lips. His tongue gently prods her lips open and explores her mouth as if it’s his first time. She loves that every time they kiss, it feels like the very first time. She gets filled with excitement, and she can feel it blossom in Nick with the way his fingers press into her skin.
“Want to help me tick something off of my bucket list?” Dallas asks, lips moving over his.
Her husband pulls away, watching her facial features and seeing the smirk that she can’t bother hiding.
“What is that?”
“Sex on the beach,” she rasps in his ear.
Nick doesn’t respond, he just pulls Dallas over his shoulder and carries her to shore. He can’t wait to see her fall apart under the stars and moon.

Love In The AM
nick moldenhauer x dallas blankenburg
a so it goes blurb
warnings: SMUTT
The insistent pounding of Dallas’ bed frame hitting the wall and Nick fucking her into her mattress is enough to wake up anyone else in the girl’s apartment. Good thing Sienna is always leaving early to start her day- she’d be scarred.
Dallas is clung onto Nick, arms looped around his neck and legs haphazardly wrapped around his waist as he holds her by her hips to fuck into her with a controlled ease. Their morning usually starts like this- Nick nestled in her pink blankets and her hands wandering all over his bare chest until he wakes up to satiate her.
“Fuck. Fuck. Oh my god, Nicky. I’m going to cum,” she whines, body arching up off the bed.
Her fingernails start to dig into his skin, and Nick feels the tightening of his balls as he feels his orgasm start to approach. When Dallas finally gains some control over her pleasure, she raises her body as much as she can so she can attach her lips to his neck. She sucks his skin into her mouth, nipping and licking at him until he’s whimpering just as she is.
“Cum baby. Fuck, you feel so good. You’re so tight and so wet. I love it,” he moans, a stray finger circling her clit, making her writhe and cry out as she finally cums around his cock.
“Don’t stop. Don’t stop,” she begs, hips meeting his movements- thrust for thrust.
He grabs her hands, pinning them down next to the pillow below her head, his hips moving at a sickening pace. She continuously flutters around his length, her cum dripping onto the bed sheets.
“Cum in me. Please, baby. I want your cum,” she releases her hands, locking them around the back of his neck as she whispers hotly in his ear. Her bare breasts press into his chest, and he can feel his sanity start to slip away.
He quickly pulls out, ripping off the condom and flipping them over so he’s on his back now.
“Uhhhh, you’re so big. I feel so full,” she whimpers when she sinks down on him, feeling his thick head prod at that spongy spot.
“If you keep squeezing me, I’m not going to last too long,” he warns her.
“I don’t care. Cum in me, baby,” she responds, rocking her hips back and forth with her hands pressed to his chest.
She knows he’s close, she can tell by the slight trembles in his body and the way he keeps tilting his head back. She grabs one of his hands, placing it on her lower abdomen, so he can feel just how full she is.
“You feel that, Nicky? That’s your big cock making me feel so full. Now, I just need your hot cum filling me up, marking me as yours. I’m yours, always, but just think about the way I’ll be dripping. When you’re at practice, I’ll be here in bed, in your shirt, dripping your cum from my pussy. Cum in me, baby,” she leans down, whispering in his ear and kissing down his neck.
His hips drill up into her, getting off on her cries and moans. He keeps her still on his length as he paints her insides, feeling another orgasm start to bubble with the way her pussy contracts around him.
“Oh my god,” he breathes out, forehead lined with sweat and a spent Dallas draped over his body. They’re both boneless.
“You’re so sexy,” she says, picking herself up with a wince at the feeling of his half hard cock stirring inside of her. She cards her fingers through his hair, leaning down to kiss his lips.
“I don’t think I can go to practice now. There’s no way I’m moving. Not when you’re warming my cock, and definitely not when I know my cum is inside your pretty, little pussy,” he says in between kisses.
“We should start every morning like this,” she suggests playfully.
“I’ll get kicked off the team,” he retorts.
“I don’t know. I think I’m worth it,” she muses, rocking her hips at a teasing pace.
“Hell yeah you are,” he agrees, flipping her back on her back, ready to go another round until his alarm clock eventually goes off. Maybe then, he’ll peel himself away from his insatiable girlfriend.
a/n: I really love this! Enjoy!

The Worst Of Me Is Racing All Around Your Mind
Nick Moldenhauer x Dallas Blankenburg
A so it goes fic
Warnings: mentions pregnancy, mentions abortions, false positives pregnancy test, panic/anxiety, cursing, mentions wanting to vomit, angst and angst (let me know if I forgot anything) this is also lightly edited
This takes place May 2024
Dallas walks on shaky legs out of the restroom, her shaking hands gripping the used pregnancy test. She already knows the answer, she was way too curious to wait to look at the test with Nick.
“Here,” she hands it over to him and waits for his reaction.
“It’s positive,” he states once looking at the plus sign.
He looks up at her and his eyes glimmer in what seems like excitement. Dallas finds it slightly terrifying.
“I know. I need to book an appointment with an OBGYN to confirm if it’s true,” she says, fingers carding through her hair as she paces around her apartment.
She tries to calm her erratic heart, but it’s no use. The more she thinks about being pregnant, the more panic fills her every thought.
“Hey, June bug, it’s going to be okay. I love you, baby,” he wraps her in his arms and kisses her forehead.
“It’s not okay! I can’t be pregnant. I can’t be. A baby will change everything,” Dallas pulls away, too panicked to think about anything other than the fact that a baby could ruin everything.
“What’s so wrong with you being pregnant? We’re married and we’ll be living together next school year,” he points out, eyebrows dipped down in confusion.
“Are you hearing the words coming out of your mouth? We just got married! We should be enjoying our time as newlyweds, not worrying about children. Children that will take our time away from school! Children that will take me away from my clothes and children that will take you away from hockey,” Dallas stresses, her hands flying out at her sides to convey her clear point of view on the situation.
She’s passed the point of staying sane, she’s too worried about their futures. She stares into Nick’s eyes, daring him to counter her argument even though he can’t.
“We can work around those things. If anybody can do it, it’s us. I’ve said those words to you when you were hesitant about getting married. I meant them then and I mean them now,” he says, voice eerily calm.
The girl walks up to him, placing her hands on his chest. She hopes the beat of his heart can help calm her down.
“This isn’t the right time for us to have a baby,” she says in the simplest way. Her hands move to the sides of his face to make sure his eyes peer into hers.
His eyes aren’t the normal, ocean blue. They’re like stone, dark and void of anything.
“I don’t know what to say,” he mutters.
“Say you support whatever choice I decide to make. If I’m pregnant, I can’t promise that I won’t seriously consider getting an abortion. At least just understand why I’m making the choice I decide to go through with,” Dallas’ bottom lip trembles when he stays silent for too long. His support is the most important thing to her at this moment.
“What can I do to convince you that we should keep the baby? I get that it’s ultimately your choice, but we’re married. That isn’t just your baby,” he points to her stomach, and this is when it hits Dallas.
This is very very real. She’s pregnant and she’s lost at a crossroads. Even though she wholeheartedly knows that if she keeps the baby, she wouldn’t be doing it for herself. And for once, she doesn’t know what to say to her husband.
-
Dallas waits with a bated breath, eyes zeroed in on the screen. Nick’s hand is clutched in hers, his eyes also focused on the screen.
There’s no heartbeat pounding through the silence and there’s no black and white blob popping up.
“Okay, Mrs. Moldenhauer, it appears that you are not pregnant. It’s very likely that you had a defective test. False positives aren’t rare, but they also don’t happen often. If you don’t have any questions, then I’ll leave you to get cleaned up and you’re free to leave,” the doctor says.
She feels her shoulders fall in relief, she’s so happy she could cry. Dallas doesn’t notice at first, but Nick is quick to pull his hand out of hers.
“I don’t have any. Thank you so much,” she says and hastily cleans herself up when the doctor leaves.
She lets out a breath she felt she was holding in forever. Her eyes return back to their usual shine and she can’t stop the relieved smile from taking over.
Nick stays silent, walking out of the room before Dallas can even button her pants. By the time she makes it out, Nick is already walking out the front door and heading towards the car. She’s not naive, she knows he’s upset. However, there’s really nothing to be upset about anymore. She’s not pregnant so their problems are solved.
“Nick!” She shouts after him.
“Are you happy you got what you wanted?” He asks, voice harsh.
It makes Dallas flinch.
She takes a moment to process his words, eyes blinking in shock.
“Jeez, Nick, you’re acting like I was actually pregnant and got an abortion,” she snaps and jumps into the driver’s seat of her car.
“Same difference. You didn’t want the damn baby, so I know you’re just so fucking happy to not be pregnant,” he snaps back, making Dallas’ blood begin to boil.
Her face is red and her chest heaves, desperate for some type of soothing air.
“I’ve given you all of me, Nick! I gave you my time, my heart, I gave up my last name in order to take yours! How can you ask that I give you this ONE THING when I’m not ready?” She shouts, too overcome with anger to think about what she’s saying, or how it's being perceived.
“You make it sound like you had no choice but to marry me. If you truly didn’t want to marry me, then you shouldn’t have, Dallas! Do you honestly think I’m ready to have kids right now? Because I’m not, but I was willing to try and to work hard for our family. I was willing to go all in with you, because I love you and I eventually want a family with you. You just thought about yourself, and I understand because it’s your body. I’m your husband, though. Would it kill you to have any consideration for my feelings or for the things I want? I would’ve taken care of my baby- even if it meant you leaving us behind and me being a single dad,” he unloads each of his thoughts.
Dallas can’t help the way her tears roll down her cheeks. It hurts to even fathom a thought about Nick being a single father to their child. It absolutely kills her that Nick would think that she’d leave them behind.
“You can drop me off at my dorm. I need to think about whether or not we should continue with our marriage,” Nick whispers, the words burning his throat.
Dallas whips her head over to him, but quickly refocuses on the road ahead. She’s left in silence. Well not complete silence. She can hear the labored breathing coming from husband and the way he sniffles after his tears loudly smack against the leather interior of the car.
Her stomach twists and turns, but she forces the bile down with large empty gulps.
“Nick,” she searches her mind for the right words to say, but she doesn’t know how to fix things without causing more damage.
“I’m sorry, Dallas. I’m sorry if I’m too much for you,” he apologizes when he doesn’t have to.
Dallas shakes her head repeatedly, her hand coming up to wipe away her tears. A stuttered gasp rips up her throat as she starts to sob. His words cut her open and leave her out to dry. Their distance becomes stark when he doesn’t even reach out to console her, but she honestly doesn’t think she deserves it anyway.

a blurb of Dallas trying to make nick break nnn?
The Breaking Point
nick moldenhauer x dallas blankenburg
a so it goes fic
warnings: underage drinking, almost fight, being inebriated, minor angst, smut!!
This was a blurb request, but I just ran with the idea and now it’s over 3k words!
During the process of Dallas picking her outfit ahead of the frat party she is attending with Nick, she makes sure to bring her A game. She picks out her shortest skirt and the sexiest top that will still keep her warm, but one she doesn’t need a bra for. She’s locked and loaded, waiting for the perfect time to tease Nick until he caves. She is beyond tired of Nick conforming into the bizarre challenge that is no nut november. Supposedly there is a bet going with the rest of his teammates, but Dallas thinks she will go crazy if he doesn’t touch her. That’s another thing, because of her incessant teasing and attempts to get him to break, her boyfriend has been dodging her. Today is the first day in a week that they will be spending more than an hour together.
She lets herself into his room, fixing her lipstick through the camera of her phone when Nick finds her. He has to contain himself from pinning her to his bed, too much pent up sexual tension filling his senses. When Dallas notices him in the corner of her eye, she jumps off the bed to make her way to him.
“Hi, baby. You look so handsome. You smell good, too,” she whispers, arms wrapped around his waist as her lips press soft pecks on his jaw and lips.
He paws at her sides, his hands feeling the soft material of her sheer, black long sleeve. His eyes take in her light makeup and dark red lipstick that he loves so much. His eyes start to wander down, taking in her tiny skirt before quickly going back up. He just realized she isn’t wearing a bra, her nipples tight and visible through her top. He goes back down to her black skirt and bare legs. Her skin is soft as he lets his hands cop a feel. His eyes go back and forth for a little bit before he clears his throats.
“You look beautiful, June bug. I missed you this week,” he mutters against her temple.
Dallas holds back her scoff and smart remark. How dare he say he misses her when he’s been the one staying away. Whatever, she’s going to put it aside for now.
“Thank you, Nicky. I was thinking, for tonight I can be the dd so you can drink all you want. You’ve had a long week, you should let loose,” she suggests, twisting some of his hair in her fingers.
She subtly leans her body into his, his hands going to the small of her back. He’s missed his girl, truly.
“Are you sure? I want you to have fun.”
“Don’t worry, Nicky baby, I will have fun,” she states, kissing his lips in a way that brings him to his knees.
“God, you look sexy. This skirt, to die for. If you get cold, everyone will see your nipples,” he growls, nosing at her neck and leaving small love bites in his wake.
“Good thing you’re the only one who can touch me,” she sighs, bringing his hand up to cup her boobs.
“You’re a minx, and as much I want to suck your pretty little nipples into my mouth, we need to head out already. Only a week and a half until I can have you,” he whispers in her ear.
Again, she has to resist the scoff wanting to leave her mouth. Here she is thinking that her outfit would be enough, but no. She has to commence plan b.
“Let’s head out then,” she says, piquing Nick’s interest because it has became rare for her to not berate him for partaking in no nut november.
At the party, the couple split up, Dallas waving him off to go have fun while Dallas goes to dance with her girl friends. Every now and then Dallas will steal a glance of Nick, seeing him laugh and drink while talking to his buddies. It’s actually really nice to see him relaxed.
The girl makes her way to him, weaving between the group of guys he’s with. Nick pulls her body into his, hands settling on her hips.
“Hey, Dallas. Want a drink?” Rutger asks.
“Sorry, I’m sober tonight. Promised Nicky here that I’d drive back so he can have fun,” she explains, giggling at his over dramatic pout.
“What about you, D? Shouldn’t you be having fun, too?” Luca says, playfully shoving at Nick.
“I am having fun, for your information. Plus, I came over here to steal my boyfriend, so if you’ll excuse us,” she says, laughing when everyone starts whistling and hollering at them.
She drags her boyfriend to a hidden corner of a room that barely has people in it, not that they’d be paying attention to them anyways. Nick softly pins her to the wall behind her, not wanting anyone to see his hands go up her skirt. Dallas pushes her tongue into his mouth, feeling content when she can feel the thrum of his moan. As his hands go up her skirt, he starts squeezing the soft flesh of her ass. The girl can feel the longing and lust start to bubble in her stomach, her tongue going deeper into his mouth as her hands end up under his shirt. Pulling away first, Nick’s lips chase after hers, drawing a seductive laugh from the girl. Her lips start to kiss on his neck, her hands moving up his chest in the same pace. With every nip and suck at his neck, her fingernails dig into his skin. His low moans only spur her on further.
She lifts her leg to wrap it around his waist, and even though he’s wearing jeans, he can feel the heat of her pussy- especially when she starts to rub against him. He pushes on her hips to pin her back into the wall. Thumbing at her nipples, her head leans back and Nick takes the opportunity to kiss at her neck. He goes straight for her sweet spot. Dallas swears she could orgasm just from his attention alone. Her hands go under the back of his shirt, a zap of electricity going through her fingertips when his muscles flex under his skin. Her hands don’t stay too long in their spot- they soon start to palm the front of his jeans. She can feel him harden behind the zipper which makes her that more confident with what she’s about to do.
The girl connects her lips back to his, this time it’s his tongue coming to tangle with hers. Dallas subtly reaches under her skirt, pulling her panties down her legs- Nick would notice if he wasn’t too busy sucking on her tongue. It’s when she shoves the dainty material in his front pocket, he pulls away and gives her a confused frown before he pulls out her panties from his pocket. She has a devilish smirk on her face as he holds up the undergarment in between his two fingers.
“C’mon, we should head back before someone comes looking for us,” she whispers out of breath.
“What about these?” He asks, dangling her underwear.
“Keep them,” she says, giving him one last kiss before she’s pulling him back to the crowded room.
“Stay with me,” he whispers against her temple when she moves to go back to her friends.
“My friends are waiting for me. You stay with the boys. I’ll see you later, or when you let me know you’re ready to go,” she pecks his jaw, walking away leaving him wanting more.
The rest of the time, Nick is sporting an uncomfortable hard on and watches Dallas from where she is with her friends. He’s barely holding himself together and he wants desperately to take her home. She spots him and flashes a smile, continuing talking with her friends when a guy walks up to her. Nick watches as the animatedly talk and laugh together. As time passes, the guy is still lingering vying for Dallas’ attention- even when she’s to busy looking over at Nick while he and the guys shotgun beers.
It just so happens that the next time Nick looks in his girlfriend’s direction, she and that guy are posing for a photo. The guy has his arm over her shoulders and she smiles next to him. Nick loses his shit when he sees the guy lean down to whisper in her ear. Nick charges towards them, ripping the guy’s arm away from Dallas and pushing at his chest.
“Nick!” Dallas gasps, shocked at the way her boyfriend is acting.
“Back the fuck away from her,” Nick says although his words are slurred.
“We’re just talking, nothing more,” the guy claims.
“You had your fucking hands on her,” Nick responds, moving towards the guy again.
“We were taking a picture. We’re friends, you know? If you’re that worried about June, maybe you shouldn’t leave your girlfriend by herself,” the guys say with a cocky tone.
“Don’t call me June,” Dallas warns him. It’s not that she wouldn’t let anyone call her that because of Nick, it’s because she didn’t like to be called that by anyone besides Nick. There’s a big difference.
“Fuck you! She’s my girlfriend and only I can call her June,” Nick shouts, pushing at the guy once again.
Before Nick or the other guy can throw a swing, Luca and Rutger come hauling ass, pulling Nick away from the other guy. They all end up outside on the front lawn.
“Dude you need to calm down. You’ve been drinking and you need to go home,” Rutger says to the angered boy.
“What the hell is wrong with you!” Dallas shouts at Nick.
The hockey player is at a loss for words, not having ever heard his girl scream like that.
“Why are you trying to start fights? I thought you wouldn’t do anything to jeopardize your spot on the hockey team?” She berates him, but Nick feels like she’s taking the other guy’s side.
“Because of you!” Nick shouts back.
Dallas mouth closes, forgetting what she was about to say as her shoulder sag. She can’t believe he’s blaming this one her. It’s hurts.
“How could you just let him be all over you?”
“It wasn’t like that. You know I wouldn’t do that to you,” she mutters.
He shakes his head, his eyes red and Dallas doesn’t know if it’s because of the alcohol or tears.
“He was still all over you,” Nick brings up the guy again.
“My boyfriend, who’d rather be part of a pointless challenge, than touch me is mad. Mad that I was hanging out with some other guy. He’s just a friend and we were taking a damn picture! Let’s talk about how you’ve been ignoring me because you can’t have sex with me, or you’ll lose this damn challenge. How did I end up being the bad guy?” Dallas is practically in tears. Her whole face is red and her voice is starting to grow hoarse.
“You should be supporting me!” Nick has the audacity to say. His arms flail at his sides as if he’s so surprised that his girlfriend isn’t supporting this immature challenge.
“It’s a bullshit challenge! I’m the one feeling neglected and like you don’t even want me anymore, yet you want me to support you. Fuck off! And you know what, find your own damn way home!” She yelled, discreetly wiping away a few tears. She’s angry and wants him all at the same time, but she leaves without him. However, before she leaves, she makes sure Luca- who is sober- can take him home. She’d never put him at risk.
The next morning Dallas wakes up to a soft knock on her front door. She waits a couple minutes in bed, her head pounding from last night’s crying session. When she finally opens her door she comes face to face with Nick who wears a worried and saddened expression. She can see the darkness around his eyes and the way his lips are chapped. He clearly didn’t have no one to get him water last night. She feels bad, being that she’s usually the one nursing his hangover. He’s holding a takeout bag and a separate bag with Red Bulls, because he knows that she prefers that over coffee. Dallas moves to the side, allowing him to enter the door.
“Dallas, I’m sorry. Shit, I have been such a terrible boyfriend to you. I can’t take back what I did, but I am sorry. I brought you breakfast and an energy drink. I’m gonna head out, but I just needed to tell you that I’m sorry,” he pressed a kiss to her forehead, his wrist getting caught in his girl’s hand before he could walk away.
“Don’t call me Dallas ever again and don’t ever try to start a fight when you’re drunk. You have a lot of important things you can lose,” she whispers, her forehead resting on his collarbones.
“I know and I don’t ever want to lose you,” he admits, truthfully.
Dallas hides her shy smile, her hands rubbing up and down his back.
“I was talking about hockey.”
“You’re more important than hockey. I think I’d be able to live without hockey, but I know I wouldn’t be able to live without you,” he says.
“I’m sorry for flipping out on you. I was acting a little crazy,” she giggles, kissing his cheek.
“I deserved it.”
“Why didn’t you get yourself breakfast? Did you drink water last night?”
“Didn’t feel like eating and no. I didn’t even sleep,” he picks her up and lays them on her bed.
“Don’t do that to yourself. Now you have to stay here and nap with me. I’ll eat my food later.”
Dallas throws a leg over his waist, her hand caressing his cheek and she finally gives him a kiss on the lips.
“I want you,” is whispered against her lips, Nick’s lips trailing down her neck.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes.”
He flips them over, Dallas on her back with him on his side but facing her. He pulls her lip between his, sucking a nipping at her. His fingers trace her collarbone, chills forming on Dallas’ skin as her breathing starts to get heavier. His hand trails down, pausing to massage her boobs then continuing down to her heat. He softly pulls her panties to the side- two fingers spreading her open and collecting her arousal. When he sinks his two fingers into her, her hips shoot off the bed, not having felt such pleasure in a while.
His thick fingers continue to push at her sensitive spot, spending waves of fire throughout her body. She tightens around him, hips softly and slowly bucking up to meet his thrusts. Everything starts to get hazy when she feels her orgasm crash down on her. Nick’s fingers wet and glistening. He brings his hand up to her lips, watching as she takes them into her mouth. If he wasn’t hard already, twirling her tongue around his digits would’ve done the trick. He pulls away, moving to be in between her legs. He kisses her like he’s trying to breathe her air. A soft moan bubbles in his throat when he gets a taste of her off her tongue. Pulling away once more, he rips off all his clothing before he’s pulling off her cami and ripping apart her panties.
“I missed you, missed you touching me,” she confesses.
His lips go back to hers, tugging on her bottom lip when her hands start to scratch at his back. She can feel his swollen, red tip poke at her entrance. Nick starts to kiss down her neck, sucking and flicking his tongue against her sweet spot. Her hands reach out to connect at his back just as her hips shoot off the bed, searching for any ounce of friction. Moving further down her body, his lips start to smatter kisses all over her chest until he finally decides to take one of her nipples into his mouth. Dallas can feel her body tingling each time his tongue laps at her or when his teeth gently tug on her nipple. He can feel the vibrations of her every moan rattling in her chest.
He grabs ahold of his cock, stroking himself before he’s gliding through her folds.
“Don’t tease me,” Dallas groans, her body wanting to arch up into his due to her lack of patience.
“Fuck, I don’t have a condom,” he says, head and shoulders sagging in disappointment.
“Screw the condom. We’re both clean and I want to feel all of you, please,” she begs, her hands pulling his body closer to hers.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes.”
He finally thrusts inside of her, Dallas letting out a deafening moan at the way he stretches her. His pace is slow to begin with, letting Dallas get used to his width as he can still feel her clench around him. Dallas can feel herself grow wetter whenever Nick starts to roll his hips into hers, his fingers tracing the slight outline of his cock that appears in her lower abdomen. Her heat contracts around his length just at his soft touch.
“You see that, baby? That’s me fucking you so deep that you can feel me in your stomach,” he whispers in her ear, sucking her earlobe in between his lips.
“You’re mine, body and soul,” he whispers into her skin.
“And you’re mine. Mine, mine, only mine,” she chants, her body buzzing.
Dallas moans, her hands splaying over his entire back, her nails starting to dig deeper into his skin. She looks down, watching the way he sinks into her. The absurd sounds of her sopping pussy whenever he plunges into her, and the sight of her wetness collecting at the base of his cock. It’s enough to douse her in ecstasy. She feels like he’s touching every single one of her nerve endings.
The way his mushroomed tip catches onto each ridge of her slick walls, stimulating the muscles with each drag of his hips.
“Nicky, harder. Fuck me harder,” she begs in her raspy voice.
He moves his hands to her hips, lifting them off the bed as he starts drilling into her. Her mouth falls open, silent moans sitting at the seam of her lips. His tip repeatedly nudges her spongy spot until Dallas’ vision starts to blur. Her walls flutter around him and the knot in her stomach tightens. She starts to move her hips, meeting Nick thrust for thrust.
“Be a good girl and fuck yourself on my cock,” he instructs her, her hips still in his hands.
She bucks her hips up, her tight cunt sucking him in deeper. Nick grunts, feeling his orgasm start to seep into his bones. His pace speeds up, his hips pounding into her as she arches her back, head tilted back and hands fisting the sheets. She writhes around as sweet whimpers and mewls claw their way out of her throat.
She can feel the veins of his cock pulse inside of her. Her walls throb in reaction. Her eyes roll to the back of her head as the knot in her stomach unwinds, her body stiffening as she cums around him. Her body jumps when his finger circles her clit, his hips still moving as he fucks her through her orgasm.
Nick feels the familiar heated coil collapse, tipping him over the edge as he pulls out and jerks himself until his cum is landing on his girl’s stomach. Dallas reaches out for him, pulling his body on top of hers as they lay there boneless. She can feel his body shake even as they make out like horny teenagers.
“Wow,” she chuckles, wrapping her legs around his hips.
“I know. I don’t think I’ve ever orgasmed that hard before. That was intense. Are you feeling okay?” He brushes some of her hair away from her face, nuzzling his nose into her cheek.
“Yeah, baby, I’m good. How are you feeling? You’re still trembling,” she cards her fingers through his hair, pecking wherever she can reach on his face.
“I feel sleepy and content. You did so good,” he kisses her lips.
“Thank you for not going through with your no nut november,” she giggles, her body melting into the mattress and Nick following.
“I’d do anything for you, June bug,” he says, eyes shutting and his breaths evening out.
Dallas smiles, finally feeling satiated. Yeah, she’d do anything for him, too.

I Want Your Midnights
nick moldenhauer x dallas blankenburg
a so it goes blurb
warnings: mentions sex and maybe alcohol consumption and I think that’s all
italics are flashbacks
The sun filters through the sheer, linen curtains. Dallas’ bare body is covered by a white sheet, but her shoulders and collarbones are on display. The sparkly “N” necklace rests perfectly on her delicate skin, reflecting the sunlight. He leans down letting his lips press a chaste kiss on her chest.
“G’morning,” the girl whispers, stretching and getting even more tangled in the sheets.
He loves her so much.
“Morning, baby,” he mutters into her cheek, brushing away the hair matted on her forehead.
Her fingers card his hair and he’s reminded of the night before. After watching the ball drop in Times Square, he took her back to their hotel room and feasted between her legs, sucking her clit into his mouth as she pulled on his curls. He can still hear her sweet moans.
“What’re you thinking about?” Dallas asks when she sees Nick bite down on his lip to cover up a smile.
“You. Us. Yesterday was fun and I can’t wait to have more new years with you,” he responds, almost shyly.
The girl reaches a hand out to pull his face to hers, needing to feel his plump lips.
“Yesterday was really fun,” she whispers into the kiss.
Small giggles fall from her mouth when she sits up and looks around their hotel room. Their bedazzled “2024” headbands, their clothes, and a few discarded condoms are strewn all over the floor.
“And crazy,” he adds.
“Very crazy,” she agrees.
Nick and Dallas have been waiting in the large crowd, dancing and talking along to whoever had been performing at the time. When the time came for Sabrina Carpenter to perform, Dallas was extremely excited. It made Nick smile when she’d look around in wonder and gasp at something she’d never seen before.
As Sabrina’s set started with “Feather,” Dallas started dancing in front of her hockey boyfriend. It was his way to make sure she was safe, and so he could watch her hips move. Her mini skirt- albeit not keeping her warm at all- sure did make the couple grow red in their cheeks. Each time Dallas swayed her hips to the beat, Nick’s hands went to rest on her body. The girl’s blush rose to her skin at his chilled touch. As for Nick, he’d blush every time he thought about taking her skirt off of her body. It was the only thing keeping him awake after their busy week and even busier day.
“Clark is everybody’s favorite dick type. Make a toast to everyone you dislike. Balls are dropping everywhere at midnight,” Sabrina sings her famous outro and Dallas goes wild.
The girl is grinding against her boyfriend and those poor people next to them, but she’s so incredibly happy so she doesn’t care.
“Did you hear that, Nicky? Balls are dropping everywhere at midnight,” she turns to face Nick, whispering hotly in his ear. He doesn’t even get a chance to respond before she’s turning back around to continue dancing on him.
“Is that a promise?” Nick whispers in her ear, both his arms wrapped around her body. His lips find purchase on her neck, sucking faint red bruises into her skin.
“It’s a promise, baby. I’m going to worship your body the second we’re upstairs,” she says against his lips, sealing her statement with a kiss.
Nick smirks at her, swiping a thumb over her cheek to get a giddy smile out of her. Her eyes reflect all the sparkling lights, and Nick knows his entire life is right there in front of him. He leans down, pecking her forehead before they continue swaying around to the live music.
They spend the remaining time joking around and just being in their own world. Dallas eventually brings out her retro camcorder to film Nick as they laugh and sing terribly. This night definitely has so many memories that she wants to document.
It’s when the countdown starts that Dallas starts to feel nervous. She’s about to have her first ever new year’s kiss while watching the ball drop in Times Square. Two firsts with the boy she’s so sure about. It’s honestly terrifying, but she wouldn’t want to be anywhere else with anyone else.
FIVE
“What’s one thing you want in the new year?” Nick shouts over the yelling crowd, but Dallas can hear him just fine.
FOUR
“Happiness. This last half of the year has been amazing and I don’t want it to stop,” she answered, staring deeply into his blue eyes. Her hand rises to rest on his cheek, his lips connecting with her palm to give her some semblance of warmth.
THREE
Dallas is so overcome with giddiness. She never would’ve thought, at the beginning of the year, that she’d be here with Nick. Nick who’s shown her a life so wonderful and full of love and new opportunities. She’s so lucky to have already found her person.
TWO
“What’s one thing you want this year?” She asks his question.
ONE
“You,” he pulls her face to his, their lips connecting as everyone welcomes the new year in hoots and hollers.
Nick moves away first, Dallas’ lips chasing after him. He gives her one more peck.
“Happy new year, June bug,” he whispers, intertwining their fingers.
“Happy new year, Nick,” she leans up to kiss him again.
She pulls away with a laugh, grasping his hand as she moves them through the crowd and on the way back to their hotel.
“I think I might need your help getting to the restroom,” she mutters once she snaps out of her memories, kicking the sheet off her body.
“Come on, June bug,” he says, lifting her body in his arms.
“I’m glad it’s just us last night and today,” she whispers into his neck.
“Me, too,” he kisses her forehead.
Their new year is starting off right.
a/n: ENJOY! Again, happy new year to everyone🫶

The Black Suit
nick moldenhauer x dallas blankenburg
a so it goes blurb
warnings: suggestive
“Holy shit. I can’t let you leave,” Dallas blurts out when Nick walks out in his game day suit. An all black look that he looks too good in.
Dallas loops her arms around his neck, bringing her body closer to his. She fiddles with the hair at the nape of his neck, softly tugging on the strands to get him to lean his head back. Her lips immediately attack his neck, nipping and sucking on the heated flesh.
She just about devours him, her hand wandering down the front of his pants to feel him up.
“Babe- baby, fuck you can’t do this to me right now. You’re going to make me late, or cum in my pants,” Nick groans, breath hitching as Dallas continues her affection.
“It’s not my fault you look sexy. All black looks so good on you. I want you,” she says with a sultry tone. Her lips attach to his, her tongue pushing into his waiting mouth.
His moans bubble out, his hand finding its place on her neck, squeezing until Dallas lets out her own moans.
“I have to go, but we can continue after the game,” Nick whispers into the kiss.
Dallas pouts and says, “fine. No party, though. Just you and me on your bed.”
“Yes, pretty girl. You and me on my bed with my head between your thighs,” he says in her ear, her knees buckling from under her, so she leans more into his sturdy build.
“Ughh, do you have to go? Do they really need you?” Dallas whines, softly tugging on the collar of his button up, kissing the exposed skin.
“Yes, sorry, June bug.” A kiss on her cheek and a kiss on her neck.
“You better score a goal for me,” she sighs after stating her playful demand.
“Yes, ma’am. I got to go, I’ll see you in the stands,” he says, kissing her lips one last time.
a/n: A little something! Nick looks soooo good in the black suit😧🫡🫡

Dallas and nick eloping because they cant wait
As The Flowers Begin To Bloom
nick moldenhauer x dallas blankenburg
a so it goes blurb
warnings: alludes to sex and marriage
sorry this took me so long to post! (Also this take place April 2024)
“Are you ready?” Nick asks, clutching tightly onto Dallas’ hand. She can feel him shaking, but she knows it’s out of excitement.
The whole day the girl has been on the verge of tears, tears of happiness and tears of the thoughts that she’s growing up before her own eyes. It feels like just yesterday her mom was dressing her in a puffy, white dress ahead of her baptism. Now, she’s dressed in white, ready to give her heart to Nick for forever.
Dallas turns to face him, watching his blue eyes as they shine in a way that makes sense of everything they’re about to accomplish.
“Yes! I have the marriage license now all we have to do is get married,” she cheers, her smile breathtaking and Nick can feel every nerve ending in his body spark with an unconditional love that was always meant for the pair.
“Perfect. You’re perfect, June bug. I can’t believe I get to love you forever,” he whispers and Dallas thinks her heart may explode.
“There’s no other person who can love me the way you do and vice versa,” she says, closing the remaining space between them to press her lips to his.
“Do you think everyone will be mad when they find out we eloped?” Nick asks just before they enter the courthouse.
“Probably, but I don’t care. This is our day and only ours. Do you care?” Dallas really hopes he doesn’t.
“Of course not. You’re my only thought,” he states, pulling her into the courthouse.
Dallas and Nick’s hands and eyes stay connected throughout the entire ceremony. Their hearts beat in tandem as they entwine into one. They both give short versions of their vows, choosing to recite the complete ones in private, but it doesn’t stop them from crying their eyes out.
The moment they’re announced as an official married couple, they pull each other in for a kiss. It’s bruising and full of tongue, but they don’t care. Only when Nick lets out a low moan, they pull away from each other. He lifts her ring-clad hand and kisses the back of it. She repeats his action and Nick feels a flurry of butterflies in his stomach.
As they walk towards the door, they come face to face with their two witnesses, Luca and Sienna.
“Congratulations, oh my goodness you’re so beautiful,” Sienna squeals as she pulls the girl into a bone crushing hug.
“Thank you,” she sighs, happiness being the only thing she feels.
“Congrats guys,” Luca says, pulling Dallas and Nick into a group hug.
“Thank you, Lu.”
“Yes, thank you guys for being here and being our witnesses. It means a lot,” Nick says.
Walking outside, the sun casts on the couple, magnifying their glow. Dallas excitedly drags Nick to the car, pushing him against the hood so she can finally make out with him.
Nick’s hands roam her back, fidgeting with the thin straps of her silky, white dress. He wants to pull them off her delicate shoulders and press kiss after kiss on the bare skin. Dallas fists the collar of his button up, not allowing an ounce of space between their bodies. Her tongue curls around his as they fight for dominance.
“I want you, now,” Dallas says against his mouth as she feels the lust surface to the tips of her fingers as she tries to push at the material of his button up to expose some of his flesh. Her lips need to be all over him.
“Let me take you home,” he responds and Dallas lets out a sigh. He noses at the veins of her neck, inhaling her soft, heavenly perfume he gifted her. The newlyweds find it hard to pull away from each other. Nick can’t help but kiss her lips again.
“I can’t have anyone seeing you the way only I’m meant to see you. Let me take you home and devour you on our bed,” he pulls away to whisper in her ear. If he weren’t holding onto her, she’d crumble into the ground. His raspy voice always makes her weak in the knees.
“Whatever you say, husband,” she cheeses, feeling blissed out on love.
“I love you, wife,” he kisses her but her smile interrupts.
“I love you, husband.” Dallas grins, contagious laughs falling from her lips and she pulls him into a hug.
a/n: I may write a full version of this but i hope y’all enjoy this little blurb!!!

You Did A Number On Me
nick moldenhauer x dallas blankenburg
a so it goes fic
warnings: none that i can think of except for some minor angst
The whole week Dallas is running frantic. All her friends, and her siblings, are secretly worried about her, but they don’t bring it to her attention.
Since the night Nick dropped her off at her dorm room and promised to see her that next Friday, she hasn’t thought about anything else. It’s been fleeting thoughts of classes and schoolwork, and lingering thoughts of her upcoming date. She thought about outfit choices repeatedly, each day getting more and more frustrated when she didn’t come out with an outfit. To be fair, she didn’t even know what Nick was planning for Friday, although they’ve been texting nonstop. Honestly, that’s what’s been keeping her half sane, texting day in and day out, except when he has hockey practice.
Now, it’s Friday and Dallas still has no idea what to wear. She’s been trying to text Nick to see if he’ll give her any hints, but her texts remain unanswered.
“Sienna!!! I have no idea what to wear and I have no idea what our date even consists of,” the girl stresses to her roommate.
“Babe, I love you, but you have to take a deep breath. Just wear something casual and maybe try to refrain from something warm so he can give you his sweater,” Sienna advises.
“He hasn’t answered my texts and he’s supposed to pick me up in 20 minutes,” Dallas mutters.
“He’ll be here.”
20 minutes pass and Nick is a no show. Dallas almost wants to laugh, but she chooses to be stoic.
“Hey, Sienna, I think I’m gonna go to the studio for a while,” Dallas says, tying her hair and picking up her bag that holds her ballet things. Ballet has been a very resourceful outlet for Dallas.
“Want me to go with you?”
“No, I want to be alone,” Dallas says, not wanting her roommate to pity her.
Tears want to fall down her cheeks, but she doesn’t let herself, too embarrassed about the way she’s feeling on the inside. She hates that she thought she could actually date an athlete.
As Dallas is passing by the library, she stops in her tracks, almost shocked to death at the sight in front of her. Coming out of the library’s entrance is Nick and another girl, laughing as if they’re the funniest people in the world. She’s not sure if she should catch up to them, or scream, or turn around and act like everything is perfectly fine.
She waits until they part ways, scaring Nick when she walks up to him.
“Am I that forgettable?” She opens with her first thought. Nick jumps, not realizing anyone was next to him.
“You can’t just sneak up on me!” He says with a small chuckle, his wide smile falling when he sees Dallas’ angry face.
“I should’ve known you weren’t serious,” the girl mutters, flipping back her bangs that are getting in her face. She definitely should’ve pinned them back when she was tying her hair.
“What’re you talking about?” He asks, becoming more confused when she doesn’t answer and just keeps walking.
“June!?” He calls out against her silence.
“Do not call me that,” she blurts out, turning around to face his bewildered expression.
During the week while they were texting, Dallas had told him about her real first name. Nick was quick to compliment the name, stating that he loved it and wanted to be the only one to call her that, and well, she caved.
“What’s wrong?” He stops his walking, trying to reach out for Dallas, but she moves away from him.
“What’s wrong? Well let’s see, we had a date planned for today at 5. You weren’t answering your texts, so I was bothered. Then, I was worried about why you weren’t showing up. However, I realized that you just decided to stand me up. As I’m headed somewhere, I see you walk out the library with some girl. You should’ve just told me that you weren’t serious about me. God! I’m so stupid for trusting someone like you,” she rants, eyes wide and lips trembling.
“Shit. Shit, I’m so sorry. My phone died after morning practice, and I fell asleep when I got back and then I remembered I had a tutoring session. Time just slipped, I swear,” he tries to explain.
“A tutoring session? This early in the year? Ever heard of a phone charger?” She yells.
“I sometimes have trouble in English, so I wanted a tutor to make sure I stay on top of things especially when we start to travel for games. I’m sorry I didn’t text you and I’m sorry I stood you up,” he finishes, looking crestfallen, not that Dallas notices.
“Whatever. It’s not like I didn’t know what I was getting into,” she says, turning around to walk away.
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“It means that my brother is a hockey player. It means that I’ve been around hockey and hockey players almost all of my life. I know how you work; I’ve seen it with my own eyes. I’m not worth remembering and you don’t care about me,” Dallas whispers, quickly whipping away a tear before walking away.
She hears his footsteps haul after her, she just about cries out in frustration when she feels his hands grab onto her in one last attempt.
“That’s not true. Yes, I did forget when I shouldn’t have. You have to understand that I’ve come so close to losing hockey so many times, I can’t risk anything that’ll take it away from me. That means a shit ton of tutoring sessions, but I do care about you. If I didn’t care, I wouldn’t be here right now, dead tired, trying to get you to see that.” Nick exasperates.
“But you see, that’s a lie! You wouldn’t have even thought of me, or thought to tell me if I hadn’t even approached you tonight. You wouldn’t have remembered until you charged your phone, if it even was dead,” Dallas exasperates, quite literally on the verge of screaming.
Nick stays quiet. His eyes are wide and they’re trying to plead with the girl, but it’s to no avail.
“Just focus on hockey and let’s forget about whatever we were about to start.” Dallas walks away, ignoring Nick repeatedly calling out for her.
“Would you please just give me the benefit of the doubt?” Nick asks, not giving up.
“Would you just leave me alone!?” She spits back.
“No! Not until you give me another chance. Be mad at me, just let me make it up to you,” he tries to reason with the stubborn girl.
“So you can forget again and we’ll just keep going in circles until we’re both tired?”
“How can you be so mad over me attending tutorials?” Nick asks, face turning red and his veins starting to pop out.
“How dare you think that’s why I’m bothered. It has nothing to do with you being tutored. I’m glad you’re being responsible. This is about the lack of decency you had in regard to me. No text or thought of me! If your phone was dead and you didn’t get a chance to charge it, why not come to me and tell me in person? You’re just making excuses to cover the fact that you forgot. Well guess what Nick, I know you forgot and as much as it sucks, I should’ve known better,” Dallas corrects him, spewing out the reason she is so bothered.
“Dallas, please. Please just give me another shot. You’re right! I’m an asshole for forgetting about our plans. I’m sorry and I can tell you that a million times, but it still won’t be much. Please let me take you on a makeup date.”
“I don’t want to go on a date with you,” she finishes, chest heaving and eyes glazed over with disappointment, and finally getting to walk away without Nick running after her.
The days pass and Dallas has not allowed herself time to mope around. Everything has been go, go, go, which is why she didn’t even realize Sienna’s plan. Dallas is so focused on school and her social life that when she’s standing in front of Yost arena, everything comes crashing down. She’s stumbling over her words, trying to free her wrist from Sienna’s grip, and on the verge of screaming. She’s been wanting to scream a lot lately.
“Sienna, what the hell are we doing here?”
“I think you’re doing more harm to yourself than actually protecting, by avoiding Nick. I think you should give him another chance. Just accept the fact that your ego was bruised by him. He made a mistake just like the one you’re making right now. We’re watching the game and you’re going to talk to him afterwards,” Sienna explains, knowing damn well that Dallas is stubborn.
“No! I’m not going in there. I’m not talking to him and you’re not forcing me to stay!” Dallas complains, almost stomping her foot like a child.
Sienna gives Dallas a devilish smirk and 10 minutes later they’re both sitting in the cold of the arena.
“I think one day, maybe on your wedding day, you’ll thank me for forcing you to stay,” Sienna speaks out, disturbing Dallas’ angry silence.
“My ego is not bruised,” Dallas says, but even she knows that it’s a lie.
“Stop lying to yourself. It’s okay that your ego was bruised, but just stop lying to yourself.”
With every minute that passes, Dallas finds herself getting more and more into the game, subconsciously gazing around to find #9 on the ice. She even cheers when Nick scores, even if it’s an exhibition game, she thinks it’s fine to be happy for him.
Dallas finds that hockey is actually pretty interesting, and worth watching later down the line. She hopes that things with Nick will work out, but she hates to admit it to herself. She hates that her ego was bruised. She hates how Nick has such an intense affect on her without even knowing each other for too long.
“I’m going to wait outside, but you can head back. I don’t know how long this will take,” the girl tells Sienna, feeling and looking nervous.
“Are you sure?”
Dallas just nods her head, saving her will to speak for when she sees Nick.
“Okay. If you need me, just call. Good luck, babe. Everything will be just fine,” with that, Sienna leaves the girl to stand outside the arena.
The girl fidgets and paces around, quietly going over the possible things she can say. Dallas actually almost misses the moment Nick exits the doors as she was facing away from the direction he was going.
She sees him walking in sweatpants and a hoodie, not usual attire for a party that she knows is going down due to their win.
“Not going to the party?” She calls out, watching Nick quickly turn around.
He watched her, almost stunned that she’s there. His mouth opens and closes, he didn’t know if he should grovel or just be casual.
“I’m not in a party mood,” he decides to say.
“I saw your goal,” the girl whispers, walking up to him.
“Oh,” Nick mutters, still not knowing what to say. The last time he saw the girl, she was really upset with him.
“You played well. You deserve to go to a party,” she says.
“Thanks, but like I said, I don’t feel like going to a party. I’m tired, so see you around,” this time he’s the one to walk away.
“That’s all?” She half yells, arms raising and falling at her sides.
“What do you want me to say, Dallas? The last time we talked, you told me to leave you alone. Now, you’re here talking to me, and I don't know if you'll be mad if I actually respond to you,” he explains, watching the girl cringe when he calls her “Dallas.”
“You’re right. I’m sorry for wasting your time. I’ll just go,” she says dejectedly.
“Why are you here?” He asks.
“It’s not important.”
“It obviously is, or you wouldn’t be here if you were really ignoring me,” Nick responds.
“I’m mad at you,” she points out the obvious.
“I know. Is that all?”
“Yup.” She watches him, daring him to say something that can get her to crack.
He just nods his head and continues his walk away from Yost arena.
Dallas fights with herself, knowing she should be honest with the way she feels, but hating that she’s the one who’s vulnerable. Before she can chicken out, she quickly walks to Nick, tugging on his arm to get him to turn around. He’s about to speak when Dallas wraps a hand around the back of his neck, pulling his face down to hers and connecting their lips. His body almost falls back at the impact of her body slamming into him, but he quickly balances himself by grabbing onto her hips.
The kiss is cautious at the start, but when Nick pulls her body closer to his, her hands card through his hair, pulling on the strands, and the kiss hardens. Her action makes Nick pull away, not because he didn’t like it, but because he likes it a little too much. She rests her forehead on his chest, her breathing heavy and her hands gripping onto his hoodie.
“I’m mad at you. I’m mad that you hurt my ego by forgetting about our date. I also don’t want you to leave me alone,” she says truthfully, staring into his eyes and caressing his cheek.
“Will you please let me reschedule our date?”
Dallas immediately nods her head.
“Good. Can I call you June again?”
“You better. Also, I can tutor you,” Dallas answers, kissing his lips again before it’s interrupted by Nick’s cute giggle. He playfully salutes at the girl, knowing he’ll do anything she asks.
a/n: Second part!!! Hope y’all enjoy!

All I Need Is You
nick moldenhauer x dallas blankenburg
a so it goes fic
warnings: smut, nerves, and I think that’s all
Italics are flashbacks
Dallas wakes up to Nick still soundly asleep next to her. His bare body is practically wrapped around hers. She slowly moves from underneath him, trying so hard not to wake him up as she gets out of his bed. She slips on his black button up that was strewn across the floor among their other clothing articles from the night before. When she slips the button up on, she smells his lingering cologne. It’s a scent she knows she’ll never grow tired of. She only buttons one button in the middle, enough to shield her as she makes her way to the restroom.
Dallas takes a long while in the bathroom, just running over her appearance in the mirror. Her hair is a matted mess and her mascara is slightly smudged. Her lips are swollen and her collarbones and boobs are littered with scarlet bruises. There’s a comfortable ache between her legs, reminding her of the significance of last night. She and Nick had sex for the first time together. She giggles at her reflection, not quite believing that it actually happened. Nick saw and felt her body, and he treated her with respect, unlike previous boys in her life.
It started off as a simple date night, their 4th date to be exact, and one thing led to another. It was one fierce kiss in his car that led to her asking to be had on his bed.
Dallas reached up to touch her lips, her mind flitting through the memories of last night.
Dallas slowly closes the door to his room, leaning her head against the wood and taking in deep breaths. She could feel her heartbeat racing as if her heart was about to jump out of her chest. She was also shaking with nerves.
“Are you okay?” Nick comes up behind her, reaching to pull her back to his chest. His hands rub her arms up and down, leaving trails of goosebumps in their wake. They just shared a kiss worthy of leading them into uncharted territory. The last thing he wanted was for his girl to feel pressured or unsure.
“I’m fine,” she answers, turning in his hold and smoothing her hands over the material of his shirt that stretched over his shoulders. It was a nervous habit, and he had picked up on it during their second date.
“I didn’t bring you up here with expectations. We don’t have to do anything, you know I won’t force you,” he reassures the girl, cupping her face and leaning his forehead against hers.
“I know. Thank you for not being forceful. I really appreciate the way you care for me,” she says, her eyes boring into his.
She brushes some of his hair away from his forehead and presses kisses to his cheeks before kissing his lips.
“Nick?”
“Yeah?”
“I want you, do you want me?” She asks into their kiss, pulling away to watch his face for his reaction.
“Yes,” he answers with no hesitation.
“Kiss me, please,” he attaches his lips to hers, his hands pressed into the small of her back.
Dallas lets her hands rest on his belt buckle, soon letting them travel up his chest until she reaches the first button of his button up. As her lips are locked with his, she begins to undo each button, one at a time. She finally gets them all undone, her cold hands slide his shirt off his shoulders. Her eyes zero in on his abdomen. His abs are perfectly sculpted and his skin is soft and warm. She presses chaste kisses along his collarbones and all over the top of his chest.
“Do you trust me, June bug?”
“Of course I do,” she whispers.
He picks her up, his hands holding her weight from under her thighs. He lays her gently on his bed, his hands going underneath her body to unzip her little, black dress. As he pulls it completely off her body, she shuts her eyes, willing the nerves to go away.
He crawls over her figure, his hands pressed into the mattress to brace himself. He nuzzles his nose into the side of her face, pulling soft giggles from her.
His hands trace her hip bones, subtly making their way to the band of her panties. With a small lift of her hips, he slowly pulls them off of her.
“Can I touch you?” He asks, kissing the soft flesh of her thighs.
“Yes, please,” she begs.
He presses teasing kisses all over her thighs and her lower abdomen. His kisses spread down to her mound, her soft, almost faint, moans spur him on. He spreads her folds, salivating at the sight of her arousal. With two fingers he spreads her wetness, eventually pushing those two fingers into her core. She’s hot and tight. His fingers are sucked in and he can feel her walls start to contract around him.
“Tell me how it feels.”
“It feels good, please, you can move your fingers.”
He slowly moves them in a come hither motion, searching for her spongy spot. Dallas lets out a surprised gasp when Nick wraps his lips around her clit, her hips shooting off the bed and Nick has to hold them down.
“Fuck, do that again,” she pleads when he pulls away.
Instead of sucking the small bud into his mouth, his tongue twirls around it, flicking it until moans are spilling from her mouth. Her legs move to rest on top of his shoulders, her hands going into his hair.
The mix of Nick’s fingers pressing into her sweet spot and his expert tongue, brings her to the brink of her first orgasm of the night. Her walls start to flutter around his fingers and the knot in her belly expands and tightens until it explodes.
Her moans are raspy. Her eyes are rolled in the back of her head. Nick crawls up her body to hover over her. He leans down, sucking on the skin of her collarbone because he craves to see her marked by him.
“Do you want my cock?” He questions breathily in her ear.
“Yes,” she whines as he guides his angry, red tip nudge her clit, then he lets his length drag through her folds, teasing his pretty girl. She reaches out for him when he pulls away to slip a condom on, body running cold now that he isn’t on top of her.
He slowly sinks into her waiting heat, moaning at her warmth. Dallas’ hands fly to his shoulder blades, her fingertips digging into his skin.
With each thrust, Nick’s met with soft moans and whimpers. It’s so easy to get lost in her as her slick walls suck him in and squeeze on him. He has to bite down on his lip to stop his loud moans. He knows they’d be unbearably loud, so he presses his lips to hers. Her grip on his back tightens as she gets a taste of her own arousal from his lips. Their tongues tangle and their teeth nip at each other.
“You feel so good,” he mutters in her ear.
“Fuck me harder, Nicky. I promise I won’t break,” she requests, her fingers scratching down his back when he starts to really fuck into her.
Each time he pulls out and sinks back in, a brand new knot tightens in her belly. She can feel her nerve endings tingle as they start to become ablaze. Her legs wrap around his waist, pushing him deeper into her, she swears she can feel him in her stomach. He ruts into her pussy, thriving on the way her chest heaves. He can feel his length start to pulse, letting him know he’s close to his orgasm. This calls for faster movements, he reaches down to circle her clit. He can feel her body start to writhe around and her limbs start to shake in pleasure. As he feels her walls clenched tighter around him, he lifts her hips up, bucking into her until she’s fisting the bed sheets and that new white hot feeling courses through her body.
“Fuck, you’re doing so well. Keep squeezing me, June bug. Just like that, fuck,” he lets out in a groan.
The feeling of her walls contracting signals his own release. He’s pretty sure he’s cum more than he ever has before.
He gently pulls out of her, his finger collecting her cum and sucking it off his finger. She slowly reaches out for his hand, eyes connected with his as she sucks that same finger into her mouth.
“You’re perfect,” he states, tucking some of her hair behind her ears.
“Kiss me.”
He pulls her into him, an arm wrapped around her neck and he brings her in for a kiss. A single hand lands on his back and her body arches into his, and he can still feel her shaking against him.
“I got you, pretty girl. You did so good,” he talks her through her coming down phase.
She rolls out of his hold, settling on just facing him as she lays on her side. Her body still thrums with an emotion she’s never felt before. It honestly makes her restless. She tosses and turns, completely unaware that Nick has been awake the whole time, watching her.
“What’s wrong, baby?” He thumbs at her bottom lip.
“I don’t know. I can’t sleep; it’s like I don’t know how to process this feeling,” she attempts to explain.
He stays quiet, reaching out towards his nightstand to grab his laptop. He quickly sets up Disney plus to play The Mighty Ducks. He tells her to turn the other way, then pulls her body into his to spoon her. He places the laptop on the small space of the bed next to them. His warmth soothes her, her shaking starting to ease as she contently watches the movie while being in his arms.
“I’m here. I won’t let anything happen to you. You did so well for me,” he states again.
“Thank you. For tonight, for treating me like a princess,” she responds, guiding his hand to grab onto her boob, finding peace in their newfound intimacy.
“Baby,” she snaps out of her daze, finding Nick behind her through the mirror.
He wraps his arms around her waist, nuzzling his face in her neck. He’s only in his boxer briefs, but he’s so warm. She just melts into him.
“Good morning,” she whispers, her hands resting on top of his.
“Morning,” he says with a smile she’s unfamiliar with.
If she had to guess, she says it’s a mix of bliss and contentment, and also a dizzying lust.
“What’s that look for?” She asks, reaching behind her to caress the side of his face, she smiles when he leans into her palm.
“I’m happy. You’re perfect and you’re mine and I’m yours.”
She turns around, her lips barely gliding over his, a big smile breaking out on her face as she leads him back to her room, already pulling off her shirt.
a/n: So, I don’t necessarily like the way I wrote this, but I didn’t want to stress about it too much. I hope y’all enjoy it!

A Silver Lining In Ann Arbor
nick moldenhauer x dallas blankenburg
a so it goes blurb
warnings: uncomfortable situation, a guy being pushy, alcohol consumption, and i think that’s all, but let me know if i missed anything
Blaring music pounds against the walls and reverberates in Dallas’ ears. It’s not that she didn’t want to come, because she did, but now she’s over the party that’s going on.
The girl walks to the kitchen, hoping to find some water to settle the couple of beers that she did have.
“Dallas, right?”
She hears someone from behind her ask, making her jump away from where she was rummaging through. She turns to make eye contact with the frat boy who looks like he’s been drinking way too much.
“Um… yes,” Dallas answers hesitantly.
“Let me make you a drink,” he says, walking closer to where she is.
Dallas fiddles with her fingers, not looking at the guy, and trying to figure out how she can leave within the next minute.
“No, thank you,” she’s about to turn around but his words keep her from leaving.
“I’m going to make you a drink.”
“I said no.” She reminds the boy.
“And I said I’m going to make you one, so you’re going to stay here and drink it.”
She starts to feel the panic spread through her body, feet feeling like they’re stuck in quicksand, not letting her move. Dallas makes a few stumbles backwards, running into someone’s body. She feels a set of hands land on her hips, but right away she can tell that their presence is calming, unlike the boy in front of her.
“She said no!” The boy behind her says, voice full of warning and maybe even daring.
“Whatever. She’s a bitch anyway,” the boy mutters, walking away, thankfully.
Dallas’ body deflates in relief, finally turning around to see the guy who saved her. She’s met with a tall guy with pretty eyes and pretty hair.
“Are you okay?” The boy asks.
“Yeah. Sorry, I think I just need a second to process what just happened. Um… thank you so much for coming to my rescue,” she blurts out, eyes widening at how fast the words were flying out her mouth.
“It’s really no problem. No guy should act that way towards anyone let alone a girl.”
She nods her head in agreement, taking a few deep breaths and trying to clear her mind.
“I should probably get home. Thank you again,” she says, walking away.
“Wait!” The guy blurts out, trailing behind her.
“Yeah?” She asks hesitantly, cautious of anyone else trying to force her into something she didn’t want to do.
“Do you have a ride?”
“No, I’m walking.”
“It’s kind of late to walk home by yourself. Can I walk you?” The guy asks, hand rubbing at the back of his neck in nervousness.
“Um…”
“I promise I’m not a creep or anything like that,” he reassures her.
“I don’t want to pull you away from the party,” she responds.
“I wasn’t having fun anyways. Oh! I’m Nick,” he introduces himself to the girl.
She smiles, thinking of her older brother when she hears that they have the same name.
“I’m Dallas,” she introduces herself.
“Dallas. I don’t think I’ve met a girl with that name before.”
“Good! I’m special,” she teases.
As they walk to Dallas’ dorm building, they go back and forth with asking each other questions, getting to know each other without even realizing it.
“How do you not believe in aliens?” Nick shouts and Dallas giggles, reaching up to cover his mouth with her hands.
“I don’t know. Maybe you need to make a believer out of me,” she says, a casual lilt to her voice even though she’s attempting to flirt.
“Maybe I do.”
“This is me! The walk went by really fast, and I had a really good time talking with you,” she whispers, the quietness around them setting in.
“I had a good time, too. Maybe we can do it again, say this Friday coming up at 5pm?” He asks, lips quirked up into a cute smile.
“Sounds like a plan. I’ll see you on Friday, Nick. We should probably exchange phone numbers, though. Um… you know so you can let me know that you got home safe, and so we can communicate about Friday,” she rambled. Nick finds it endearing and very attractive.
After they exchange numbers they exchange quick hugs and Nick even pressed a chaste kiss to Dallas’ cheek. She’s left with burning, flushed cheeks and a heart that beats a little bit faster.
a/n: First part, finally!!! It’s a little boring, but it’ll get better (hopefully) in the next part. Enjoy!
