The Grey House Doctor (male reader x Nick Radford)

Summary: The story follows Male Reader, a sickly individual, who faints in front of the Grey House while looking for a doctor. Cassie and Sam, step-siblings, come to his aid and introduce him to Nick, Sam's son and a doctor. Male Reader and Nick's relationship blossoms as they bond over their shared passion for medicine. Male Reader was feeling extremely sick and weak. He had been running a high fever for a few days and his body was now completely drained of energy. He knew he needed medical attention, but he didn't have a doctor in town. He had just moved to this small town a few weeks ago and had yet to find a doctor.

As he walked down the street, he suddenly felt dizzy and collapsed on the sidewalk. He had fainted in front of a beautiful grey house, which he later found out was owned by Cassie Nightingale and her family.

Cassie and her stepson, Nick, quickly came to Male Reader's aid. They helped him up and brought him into the house, where they laid him down on the couch. Cassie immediately got to work taking his temperature and checking his pulse.

"I think he needs a doctor," Cassie said to Nick.

"I'll go get my dad," Nick replied, referring to Sam Radford, who was a doctor in town.

Male Reader couldn't believe his luck. He had fainted in front of the house of a doctor. He was grateful for Cassie and Nick's help and for the fact that they were willing to call Sam to come and help him.

When Sam arrived, he was surprised to find a stranger in his stepmother's house. He quickly introduced himself to Male Reader and got to work examining him.

"You have a high fever and your body is severely dehydrated," Sam said after examining Male Reader. "You need to be admitted to the hospital."

Male Reader was relieved to finally have a diagnosis and to know what was wrong with him. He was grateful for Sam's expertise and for the care he was receiving.

As he lay in the hospital bed, recovering from his illness, Male Reader got to know Nick better. They talked about their shared love of medicine and the challenges of being a doctor in a small town. Male Reader found himself drawn to Nick's kind and caring personality, and he knew that he wanted to spend more time with him.

After Male Reader was discharged from the hospital, Nick invited him over to his house for dinner. Male Reader was nervous but excited to spend time with Nick outside of a medical context. As they sat down to eat, they talked about their interests and passions, and Male Reader found himself feeling more and more drawn to Nick.

As the evening wore on, Male Reader found himself unable to resist the attraction he felt for Nick. He leaned in and kissed him, and to his delight, Nick responded with passion.

Keydets Defeat Radford

Sept. 20, 2023—The Corps of Cadets marched to North Post for supper to attend the men’s soccer program’s Corps Game last night as the Keydets competed against Radford. The game was scoreless until Kyle Grant ’27�� kicked the ball in the goal with just under four minutes left to play. The game ended 1-0, with goal keeper Dylan Holbach ’26 holding on to the ball in Radford’s last attempt at a score. Holbach began the season as a team manager, but made eight saves in his first career start. This victory is VMI’s first over a Division I opponent since the 2014 season. Head coach Nick Regan, in his second year at VMI, was nearly speechless, only able to describe the evening as “an unbelievable story.”—VMI Photos by H. 1948 Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. series 1

Howard finally opens the S.H.I.E.L.D. agency and makes Peggy director. The SSR keep the Playground base and are absorbed into S.H.I.E.L.D. as their research division.

Howard's greater authority and larger amount of resources from the government (as well as his own) allow them to pull in more heroes.

S.H.I.E.L.D. will fight terrorist cells and non-state actors, investigate supernatural phenomena, also deal with and cover up powered people cos the general public "can't handle the truth". This is part of their mandate from the government and S.H.I.E.L.D. is threatened with closure or refusal of funding many times for trying to circumvent this aspect of their role within said government.

Director Carter is trying to maintain a long distance relationship with Sousa and has to investigate the "hit" on Agent Thomson.

Zodiac is the main story for this series.

Zodiac is behind the assassination attempt, with the council of 9 previously being under them. Vernon Masters returns to do their bidding (never saw a body right?). Peggy's brother has been alive all this time and it was his redacted file that Thomson was to smear Peggy with and not actually Peggy's (Michael's name and d.o.b. were redacted just leaving the surname Carter and informants that heavily implied that it was Peggy). With the smear failed, the Zodiac group want it back, for safe keeping. Thomson is the only one outside of the Zodiac or the council of 9 that has read it, so he was supposed to be killed, but they hired Dottie to do it and she was able to make it look like she was trying to kill him without killing him ("if I'd wanted to kill him he'd be dead"). She arranges a meet with Peggy in a subterfugey way, info dumps, insists she really was trying to be helpful by taking the hit job, and manages to wriggle away again.

Zodiac is led by Marcus Lassiter (A buff Milo Ventimiglia with a cool beard). Marcus has the codename Aries and wears ram horns at the meetings which seems silly at first till we realise they are functional and they all have silly costumes. Marcus has super-human strength, which we don't see initially.

All of the Zodiac members have themed powers/tech:

Taurus (Cornelius Van Lunt) has bought his seat on the board and isn't afraid to use that fact. He has a bull's head costume. He also has dangerous horns.

Gemini (Joshua and Damian Link) are identical twins have identical costumes and carry identical dual wielding pistols. They have an amazing synergy when they fight as a duo. They only get one vote between them. 

Cancer (Jack Kleveno) has a crab costume. That is all I have to say about that.

Leo (Daniel Radford) is a dude in a lion suit. It has a lion mask and an exoskeleton that gives the wearer enhanced strength, agility and durability. 

Virgo (Elaine McLaughlin) has an extraterrestrial material coating her suit which gives her great durability and shock absorption. It also allows her to heal/regenerate herself or others. In my head, crab man gets injured by S.H.I.E.L.D. and Elaine comes back and gets captured just to heal her secret crustacean lover.

Libra (Gustav Brandt) has a hi tec blindfold that allows him limited psychic abilities and a teleportation ring. Martial artist too.

Scorpio (Jake Fury) has a costume with venom blasts and neurotoxic sprays. Yes. That Fury. In the comics he is Nick's brother. Here he would have to be his dad. In the series he is only referred to as Jake initially to keep his identity a slight surprise.

Sagittarius (Harlan Vargas) has an eye mask that grants enhanced vision and tracking abilities. He is highly skilled with a bow and arrow.

Capricorn (Willard Weir) is green. I'm thinking they're an alien. This superpower ideas site says Capricorn might have shape shifting abilities so they could be a Skrull masquerading as a Willard Weir.

Aquarius (Michael Carter) has a water based costume and weapons. Michael was not happy with the smear on Peggy but went along with it for fear of repercussions.  But now her life is under threat, so he leaves warnings for her to help her avoid getting killed. Eventually Aries discovers the betrayal and beats Michael to death in his secret apartment. Peggy comes across the apartment as part of the S.H.I.E.L.D. investigation and discovers the body. She realises he was the one giving warnings (to help them avoid traps, ambushes etc) and finds a note he wrote for her when he knew Aries was coming for him. It's written in their shared childhood code. It explains his motivations (he was trying to change the world for the better) and gives some info about what Zodiac are going to do next. Zachary Drebb is the second Aquarius.

Piesces (Noah Perricone) is blue and looks like he'd be good in the water so I'm thinking Talokanil

S.H.I.E.L.D. discover there is an off-books SSR mole on the inside. They are furious with Flynn for not telling them straight away. Flynn thought it would compromise the mole's safety.

As the Zodiac members are arrested or killed during the S.H.I.E.L.D. investigation, Jake Fury is revealed as the SSR mole. He tries to escape with the actual Zodiac key but it corrupts him and he tries to incite rebellion within the remaining Zodiac council members to effect social change. This just causes everyone to squabble and fight. Aries finds this amusing, but comes for Jake nevertheless. Jake ends up losing the key back to Aries, but escapes with his life.

Aries reveals himself as an actual god at the end of the series. He was cast out by Zeus for causing too much trouble in Omnipotence City and bound to be peaceful. He has taken that to mean he can't fight personally and has been manipulating world events with extracts from the aforementioned Zodiac Key to cause as much conflict as possible. The S.H.I.E.L.D. team have been annoying him by thwarting his plans. He says he is tired of being subtle.

They need the whole team, including Dottie, Sousa, Thomson and the Howling commandos using Stark tech and the Human Torch (Jim), Union Jack II (Brian) and Spitfire (Jacqueline). Peggy also calls in a favour from California based Adam Brashear (aka Blue Marvel) to help take him down. As Adam was the love interest from the previous series, this risks embarrassment for Peggy and could possibly end her relationship with Sousa, but the stakes are too high not to.

Ultimately Jim is the only one not affected by the Zodiac key and has to go Supernova to knock him out. He knew he was becoming unstable and had been advised he might go supernova, he just decides to do it on purpose. Heroic sacrifice! The team is devastated at the loss.

A relationship between Jim and Jacqueline would be built up through the series so she would take this the hardest.

Zeus could come and actually bind Ares with power dampening bangles. This physically prevents him from conflict instead of just getting his word. He is captured and will not be seen again till Dark Avengers.

S.H.I.E.L.D. recommends Adam for a commendation and Jim for a posthumous one. The CIA intervene and say that not only will no one will be getting one but no one must hear of it. The existence of gods and aliens is very much covered up at the behest of the American government so as not to cause mass hysteria. No one outside of the President and the people who were at the final battle know anything about it.

Adam is told he cannot be publicly rewarded and is no longer allowed to fight crime (he has been fighting crime in a costume and mask to hide his identity) as the CIA believe the world is not ready for a black superhero. The President reluctantly confirms this. S.H.I.E.L.D. must assign him a handler (he is so going to fight crime).

As Jim was essentially a sentient weapon the CIA won't publicly acknowledge his existence and stipulate he must be buried in the desert in an indestructible airtight box. The President reluctantly confirms this too.

Dottie disappears after making a significant contribution and manages to stay off radar until the first Black Widow movie…

Peggy and Sousa decide to carry on with their long distance relationship.

Namor shows up when he finds out about Noah. He is not happy that his citizen was defeated and arrested and he vows never to return. He is also not happy with said citizen for acting without his consent and forces S.H.I.E.L.D. to release him into Talokanil custody. He is sorry about Jim Hammond's passing though and stays for the burial in a secret S.H.I.E.L.D. location in the desert.

Post credits:- Peggy calls Marlene Frazier and asks, as she has been with Adam this whole time anyway, if she'll be his handler. He comes home and gives her a kiss, they have developed a relationship while working together. She says she is happy to keep an eye on him.

College of Idaho: 2024-25 NAIA Men's Basketball National Champions

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Samaje Morgan poured in a game-high 28 points for College of Idaho and Dougie Peoples added 21, as the Yotes claimed the 2025 NAIA Men’s Basketball Red Banner, leading for more than 38 minutes and never trailing, topping Oklahoma Wesleyan University, 93-65, at Municipal Auditorium in Downtown Kansas City.

Morgan and Peoples were two of the four who reached double figures for the Yotes, who also had 12 points from Johnny Radford, and 10 from Tyler Robinett. Oklahoma Wesleyan ended its season at 28-8, getting a pair of 15-point outings out of Jaden Lietzke and Nick Bene.

College of Idaho (35-2) built an early 11-4 lead when Radford tripled at the 16:56 mark in the first half, but OKWU was able to edge at the lead and get back within one, 18-17, on an Ethan Williams basket in the lane at 13:07.

Over the next seven plus, it was all Yotes, who used an 18-3 run to break the game open and go in front 36-22, on a 3-pointer by Robinett with 7:27 in the opening 20.

Back-to-back OKWU baskets, by Lietzke and Isaac Stanek, got the Eagles back within 11, but C of I scored on its next two possessions, going up 41-25, on the way to a 49-29 lead at intermission.

Morgan had nine of his 28 in the first half, and the Yotes shot 56.5 percent, including 64.3 percent from outside the arc on nine made 3-pointers.

C of I didn’t slow down to begin the second half, up 58-35 at the under-15 timeout, and OKWU didn’t get closer than 16 the rest of the way, as C of I ended the game shooting 55.7 percent, holding Oklahoma Wesleyan to 37.1 percent from the floor.

05x18 - A Good Result

Ted's prisoner isn't amused at being arrested on a Sunday. He insists he's innocent but Ted explains that it's 'auto-crime' (taking from vehicles without consent) week. "So why aren't you out catching auto-criminals?!" The man protests. Ted simply smiles and explains if he removes the market (those who are buying stolen goods) then he removes the need for the crime. "Oooh lovely, another car radio!" Alec books Mr Radford in for attempted handling. Ted reckons the radio is worth several times more than the car it was in. "But if you haven't got a loser! You can't prove it was nicked!" Radford protests, claiming there's no case to be heard so he doesn't want a solicitor. He moans again at Ted pulling him in as he wants to attend a football match. Ted advises he hold his hand up, admits to buying a stolen radio and he'd be out for the kickoff!

Yorkie leaves his Section House room [directly opposite Reg's] on his way for his new undercover role as a football hooligan. Reg tells him that he's working the match as overtime and Yorkie playfully reminds him not to call him 'mate' if he spots him in the crowd.

In the locker room, Taffy teases Reg about being part of the ESSO team, explaining to Ken that it means Every Saturday And Sunday Off. He claims Reg spends his week in the warm of the station and then only comes out at the weekends when there's overtime to mop up the spoils. Pete complains about having to watch 'a group of Jessie's' when West Ham are playing at Arsenal elsewhere. Reg tells him he'll be lucky to even see the ball as they're made to keep their backs to the game for the entire match. "You'd just have to swap obscenities with Yorkie Smith all afternoon then!" Taffy suggests.

Yorkie arrives at a local pub and heads over to the gang of football thugs he's infiltrated. The gang leader, Glen Phelps, has a cousin visiting from Manchester to join their gang for the weekend. Yorkie intimidates a couple to leave a table when the pub starts to get busy. Yorkie bonds with the fellow northerner and finds out he's a university physics student who usually goes up against Manchester United fans with his local gang. Yorkie says he's a shopfitter who had to move south because there was no work in Sheffield.

Radford smugly tells Ted that he can't prove that it wasn't the radio's owner who sold him it. Ted points out that the serial number had been removed and Radford shrugs and claims he hadn't noticed. Ted tells him that car crimes are one of the most common crimes and launches into a tirade only for Alec to interrupt and drag him out of the interview room to tell him that Radford's solicitor has arrived.

Radford explicitly stated he didn't want a solicitor. Alec explains that Radford's wife rang one when Ted arrested her husband. Ted says it's tough. Radford signed to say he didn't want a solicitor so he doesn't get one. Alec suggests he might change his mind if he's told the man is there but Ted isn't about to tell him. He offered - it was refused - he's done what PACE says he has to and it's up to Alec, as the Custody Officer to dismiss the solicitor.

Reg complains that the Section House used to be civilised like a 5-star hotel. Pete, Nick and Viv scoff at the very idea. Reg goes on to explain that Jim and his girlfriend keep him awake all night...

On the other side is a Bethnal Green Rookie who keeps slamming his door and opposite is Yorkie 'and his ghetto blaster'. They board a coach, heading towards the match. Viv suggests he move out if he's not happy. Reg claims most officers want to move away from the area. He thinks they should live nearby as they should want to live in the community they serve. "The only reason you stay in the Section House is to live as cheaply as possible!" Taffy insists, claiming Reg 'owns more property in Spain than the Catholic Church'. Reg protests that it is just one small apartment in Torremolinos.

In the pub, Manchester details a time his gang went up against rival fans. He reckons they were so clinical and clean that they attacked the other side before the police arrived. Yorkie suggests CCTV is ending what they can do as they can be found after. The gang reckon it adds to the fun of finding new ways to hurt people without getting caught. They head to Glen's flat where he shows them their new 'Trophy Room' with a table of weapons and newspaper cutouts of their attacks, claiming they are the number one gang in London.

Yorkie is challenged to pick a weapon as they haven't seen him fight. He tries to shrug it off and claims he can look after himself but Glen insists he chose from the table like everyone else. "As long as it comes back with a bit more blood on it, you can borrow what you like." Yorkie surveys the table and makes his choice.

The officers decamp at the stadium and make their way to the pitch where they're met by the local Inspector. They are briefed on what is expected to happen with pictures of the most wanted banded around. They're advised to nick anyone who steps out of line or that they're suspicious of and told that TSG is in attendance as well as the dog and mounted police divisions.

At the same time, Glen briefs the gang about the suspected police presence hotspots. They suggest taking the furthest spot on the NW side of the stadium to pick off the unwary. They then plan to meet 'a large band of scum' near the local tube station who they have heard will be hiding amongst the home fans to go up against their gang. "The game is simple. We intercept the slags and cut 'em up!"

Yorkie excuses himself to go to the toilet of the cafe they are eating in after the briefing so he can secretly call the station.

Radford can't remember the name of the pub he was in, he can't remember the name of the person or when it was but expects Ted to accept he paid £40 for a top-of-the-range £300 radio without hearing it or suspecting it was stolen. "You still can't prove it was stolen!" Ted reminds him that the charge is attempted handling. All he has to prove is knowledge or belief that it was stolen before purchase. "You'd have to be on another planet to not suspect it was stolen!" He rants, interrupted again by another knock on the door. This time it's Mike telling him there's a call from Yorkie.

Yorkie tells Ted he's been to Glen Phelp's new place and describes the Trophy Room and the evidence before giving him the address. It's a Sun Hill area property and there'll be a housewarming party that night with all the gang present. They've hit the jackpot! Ted suggests he pull out but Yorkie worries they'd be suspicious so wants to stay in place. He tells Ted they're not attending the match, they've plans to 'go meet some headbangers'. Ted arranges a search warrant for the house and will pass on the location of the planned fight whilst Yorkie returns to the gang.

Pete complains about the 'beautiful game' now being a mess of barbed wire, fences, TSG and police everywhere and claims it must have been great in the 50s when people were out just to enjoy the game with no aggro. "It's all money in our pockets!" Reg shugs. Pete claims he "wouldn't mind the aggro if they were actual fans of the game but they're not. It's just organised violence for fun!"

Later, Viv is harassed by an idiot who wants her to check his 'inside leg' to make sure he's not carrying any weapons when she starts to search him. She confiscates his can of coke, telling him it's a weapon that could hurt someone if thrown. She allows him to have it back - only if he drinks it before he goes into the ground. To his annoyance, a suspicious Taffy subjects him to a full body search. Hidden on a long string around his neck is a Stanley knife.

"Planning on doing some DIY before the kick off were you? I hope you brought some crochet because you're nicked!"

Yorkie and the gang gather in a group as they wait for reinforcements. They then head down a side street and Glen whistles for his 'watcher.' The man runs to them, detailing a sighting of 25 of their rivals. The gang split into two groups with one group hiding from view before the first makes themselves known. The rival gang think they have the upper hand before Glenn gives the word and the second half join the fight with Yorkie a reluctant participant.

In CAD Tom directs the team to where Yorkie had suggested they were headed near the underground station and arranges backup.

The rival firm makes a break for it through a market - which scares the elderly stall holders and shoppers who scarper as the men charge through. Whilst doing so they attack some of the market stalls and pull them over, using some as weapons or stages to fight on. Thankfully the police van soon arrives and the officers leap out to make arrests. One of the officers - not a Sun Hill one - punches Yorkie who makes a break for it with Glen, his cousin and some others.

Finally they pause to catch their breath with one remarking that the police response was fast. Glen suggests it was just luck or a tip off... and that Yorkie broke away for 'a mega pee' at the cafe. "You never did take that knuckleduster out your pocket, did you, Tone?" he glares at Yorkie. Yorkie protests his innocence but Glen threatens him with his knife, slicing Yorkie on the arm as he makes a run for it.

Ted returns from the court with his search warrant in place for Glen's house. He asks Mike if Yorkie has been in touch. Mike says he hasn't.

Yorkie continues to run away from the gang who are grabbing weapons from a nearby builders skip. He ends up cornered between two groups of gang members and kicks the gate behind in desperation, locking it behind him and praying that the Alsatian tied up in the yard doesn't bite him.

He gets into the house via an unsecured back door and asks the occupier for a phone. Unfortunately, she doesn't have a landline so Yorkie runs out the front and flags down a car just as the gang get out the same front door. He leaps in, identifying himself as a police officer and orders the man to drive. The team lob something through the back window and shatter it but Yorkie manages to get away safely.

"Do your seatbelt up man or you'll get me nicked!" The very cool driver tells Yorkie, totally unruffled by what has happened.

In the yard, Alec is whistling happily as he washes his car - watching CID run out. "No need to panic you know, they're [the pub] open all day!" he jokes, pretending to wash Ted's car as they speed off.

In CAD Tony gives the address of Glen Phelp's new place to back up and tells them to meet up with CID. "From all accounts the gentlemen won't be too pleased to see you, so be prepared."

Ken asks Pete how West Ham fared. "They lost, 3-0." he pouts. "Ah you were best off here anyway then!" Ken tells him cheerfully. Viv asks if anyone saw Yorkie and Reg suggests he probably skived off instead.

Ted knocks on the door of Phelp's and orders them to open up - with officers crashing through immediately after. Glen, his cousin and another man are already inside attempting to remove all traces of evidence. Outnumbered by the officers, Glen throws the bag of weapons at their feet. "Very wise, gentlemen," Ted says, moving in to arrest them with the others.

Yorkie returns to the Section House after getting patched up. He opens his door and sinks onto his bed, turning on his radio where he hears that the football match apparently passed without incident.
