long story short I saw a cool bag on pinterest while I was looking for crochet patterns but there was no fucking pattern but one of my friends found a pattern for a similar but not quite bag so I watched an hour long video, transcribed it into text, and am now gonna make a wholeass backpack just because Sunflower Vibe

I will be honest one thing I don't understand is how like

I don't wanna say 'hostile' but its the only word coming to mind

How hostile people get when it comes to convincing other people to consider/get into stuff like planting native for biodiversity and replacing their lawn with xeriscaping or native groundcovers and the like.

Cause I mean like. I get it. We want as many people to make these changes as quickly as possible for the sake of the environment. But when was the last time being super hostile towards people the way to convince them to change their minds on this kind of thing?

We're all aware of the fact that spite is a powerful tool, we should wield it in our favor, not against us. I don't see any result from statements like 'your mowed turf lawn is stupid and ugly and you're stupid and ugly for liking/doing it' asides from people just. Doing it harder out of spite?

Like what happened to being kind and patient when it comes to educating people on this stuff? What happened to catching more flies with honey than vinegar? Why be abrasive when you can guide people towards the resources and information?

If someone was trying to give you information on something, and one person threw it at your head while calling you an idiot, and someone else approached you kindly and gently offered it to you... which one are you more likely to consider listening to?
