" I got something for you. " Niah reaches for the bag she brought on board the ship and opens it up for Faye's view. Some home-grown fruits huddled together she grew herself, consisting of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and a few apples. " I thought these would be good to snack on sometimes. I asked Spike which ones you'd like more but he said you'd take anything, " she laughs nervously, " I'm not sure which ones you liked the most, so I picked a few instead of one type. "

faye is markedly surprised and manages to say — ❝ ... oh, uh... thank you. ❞

she takes a step forward and glances inside the bag, immediately greeted by the bright and inviting hues and aroma of the fruit. her mouth instantly waters. ❝ you didn't grow these yourself, did you? ❞ they were almost picturesque; when she moves to reach inside, she half-expects to feel a plastic shell. although she will hesitate at first, exchanging a glance with niah to make sure it was okay to go ahead, before plucking what appeared to be the juiciest strawberry she had ever seen. she brings the piece of fruit to her mouth and slowly sinks her teeth into it, careful to catch whatever juice risks spilling. the succulent flavor immediately fills her mouth, coating her tongue with its sweetness. ❝ mmmm— ❞ is all she can say while she finishes it off; a sound of approval. and once she's finished devouring it, ❝ ... that was delicious. i can't remember the last time i had fresh fruit like that. ❞

Noah dating girl with chronic hip pain

Once again this one is very specific, but I love writing pieces that mean something to you and I hope you love it!💗

Chronic hip pain isn't talked about much

That means Noah has lot of questions in the beginning

But he is very attentive, so he notices lot of things himself

For example when you started sleeping over at his place more and you were doing you night/morning routines together in the bathroom and he saw little frown on your face

He figured it was because you were standing for a long time, since your skincare and makeup routine take a long time

So he got you big white toiletry table for his bedroom

With big fancy chair, so you can sit while doing your girly things

He also makes sure that every time you attend BO concert you're comfortable

That means he either puts some bar chair or tool case on the side of the stage, or he makes Matt let you in his sound kingdom so you can watch and be comfortable

He would for sure look up how to help and eliminate your pain on google

So after few months of dating it wouldn't be surprise for you if before you go to sleep he would make you do some weird exercise or put new cream on your hips and give you new type of massage

Talking about bed...

He would be even more attentive when it comes to sex, because he wouldn't want you to experience any pain at all

He would watch your facial expressions in every position and if he would see even the smallest sign of pain on your face he would stop, make sure you're alright and then continue in a different position, pace, technique

On the positive side of things, pain from being in one position for too long makes your sex life interesting because you try lots of new things together

Back on the serious note

He would go to your doctors appointmens with you

Sometimes to be your advocate really

Because you being in your vulnerable state makes it hard for you to stand up for yourself

So he does it for you

For example when they tell you that you don't fit for the mobility aid, he tries to find a way to get it for you

Or when you use your TENS unit, he's always by your side

And when he's away on tour he always makes sure you take your pills through texts

And when you're on facetime he makes you do your exercise

Sometimes when you don't feel good and don't want to do it he does it with you

On tour he even makes the guys do it with you through the screen to cheer you up a bit

He's just your biggest supporter

[This piece is a mere abstract interpretation of a conversation between Spike and Niah while the 'sun' slowly sets on Mars, which is where the surrounding theme of twilight in their story takes place. Originally in my mind, I would have drawn Niah in a gown with a pink sheer kimono falling off her shoulders, but I decided to go with something casual such as high-waisted pants, tank, and a button-down shirt for this variation. ]

It's a languid, moony scene where Spike walks into her yard to find her lounging on a lawn chair, sipping on some red wine and enjoying the scenery of her garden. She doesn't appear to realize his presence quite yet, as her mind was lost in the enchantment of a daydream for a while now, making her lose partial focus on reality. But for just a moment, Spike stands still to bask in the quiet scene, eyes half-lidded beneath the shadow of his curly fringes as he watches her swallowed up in touches of red and green, smoke from his cigarette swirling across his vision. Spike can only admire from afar. At a distance. With a heart that aches at the sight of her. A heart full of yearning, tastes bittersweet upon his tongue, like forbidden fruit he desires to take a bite out of for just a measly taste. A simple drop of sweet wine that taints her lips a blushing red.

one thing i constantly think abt is the fact that dion is So important to niah and being a dragoon is her sense of purpose, which is how she defines herself. she defines herself through what gives her purpose and her relationships to others, and although she's extremely loyal, that loyalty has to be earned, though once it is she'll never give someone a reason to doubt it.

which is probably what makes her death very tragic to me, she gets killed precisely because she's so loyal to dion and the dragoons
