Kara insists she and Lena aren't dating, but Alex knows better.

She notices the looks, the touches, the words. And it's not like she's actively looking for those signs, Kara and Lena just are like that.

The way she denies it has changed, though. It started like "no, we're friends", and, okay, fine, maybe she was projecting a little...

When it became "whaaat? No. No we're um- we're friends. B-best friends" she just seemed to be in denial, really.

And around 7 months ago it shifted back to "no, Alex, she is not my girlfriend" only this time she seemed annoyed by the question.

And what is even more interesting is that now she's just like "'kay, y'know what? sure".

So, yeah, Alex knows her sister is dating. What she doesn't know is why she won't just tell her.

"What exactly have you been asking her?" Nia asks.

"If she and Lena are girlfriends. I thought I made that pretty clear."

"I thought I made myself clear too." Kara chimes in. Wait, Kara is here? "Also, can you not talk about us as if we can't listen?"

"Kara, stop with the eavesdropping!"

"We're in the same space!"

"Alex, I think you're asking the wrong question." Nia turns her attention to Kara. "Kara?"

"Nia?"

"What are you and Lena?"

"We, my dear pupil, are partners." she looks at Alex in the rearview mirror, smiles and adds "Thank you for asking."

"Oh, yeah. That makes more sense." Nia seems satisfied with the answer. Alex however...

"All that fuss for this?" unbelievable. "That's the same thing!"

"Ok well, would you say you and Kelly are girlfriends?"

"We're wives." she barely cares to contain her smile. Wives

"But you are dating?"

"No, we're married." Married.

"But you two are together, so why not just call her your girlfriend?"

"Because it's a different thing." oh "Nevermind I see your point."

"Great, we're all on the same page. Kara and I are partners, you and Kelly are married, your Kara impression is terrible, and I'm really hungry. Can you please order our food now? There's a line of of cars forming behind us."

They just finished training. Well, Nia finished training. Kara is still punching her "punching bag" if you can call a car that.

"Miss Grant called me the wrong name." she takes a break and says out of nowhere.

"What? Kiera?" Nia teases.

"I regret ever telling you about that..." Kara rolls her eyes "No, I mean Supergirl."

"Why is it wrong?"

"It's innacurate."

"Oh right, because you were a woman in your 20s."

"No, more like because I wasn't a woman nor in my 20s."

Kara lore.

Sometimes during their training sessions Kara would just randomly tell stories about her life. It's how she knows about "Kiera" and that Kara sold some of her artwork during her college years.

Nia waits for her mentor to continue. She doesn't. She punches the car.

"You want to elaborate?"

"'Cause I wasn't really in my 20s. If I had gotten here when I was supposed to, I would have been almost 50 in Earth years by then." a cross punch.

"Yeah, no, I get that part. But what do you mean you weren't a woman?"

"There aren't- weren't women on Krypton. That's a human thing, an Earth thing. We did have feminine genders though, as well as masculine and neutral ones."

"A-and which one are you?" nailed it

"Neutral. It was close to a feminine one but not all the way. When I left I was still a kuhl, and would have grown up to be ehdhyv and then shehd. Unlike my mother who was a shed, or my father who was a shod. Sorry, there's not really a direct translation to English for those words."

"So, you're non-binary?"

"In current human terms, I guess so. But on Krypton there weren't any binary genders to begin with. Feminine, neutral and masculine were equally standard and, like, the big categories that had at least five subcategories within them. There were so many masculine genders that I could never remember them all."

"What pronouns do you use? Who else knows? Are you going to change Supergirl's name?"

Kara chuckles fondly. "She and her but I'm open to trying they and them. Eliza, Alex, Lena and now you. And I don't think so. I know that's how I got into the subject..." Nia swears she was trying to pay attention, but a realization caught her off guard.

"Ms. Danvers, Alex and Lena..." she whispers. She's among the people who know about Krypton through Kara now.

"Uh, Nia?" Kara snaps her out of it waving her hand in front of her.

"Sorry, what did you say?"

"Our time is up. Alex is gonna train physical combat with the new recruits." Kara is already at the door, just waiting for her.

Nia grabs her stuff and follows her out of the room. She still has questions – how did she adapt to human genders? were there gender roles? are they going to tell Miss Grant? – but knows better than to ask now.

What happens in the training room, stays in the training room. Except for, you know, the training.

I was so confused why he wanted me to speak to someone, we had just returned to WWE so my brain was just unable to comprehend anything.

"Sis, this is Cody. Cody Rhodes" He said

"Hey-" I paused, noticing the visible height differences.

He looked around 6'3" and I was 5'10", on the other hand my brother was like 6'1" or something.

"Holy Shit- your fucking tall-" I chuckled a little

"Uh yeah, Hey." He chuckled

"Well nice to meet you Kristin- I'm Cody" He said

"So what brings you to the WWE?" He asked

I opened the door and let him inside my locker room, we talked a little about why I had run off.

Notes - I’m not gonna lie, i was actually a bit put off by the fact that this has 40+ chapter. But once i really got into it, i instantly soared past where i had started reading it in 2017. I absolutely love the way they show depression as a gradual thing. It’s not something that always had one big trigger, sometimes its many small things compiling together, or the tentacles, as Craig puts it. i want to say that, as a trans person, i really dont hate the characterization of trans people. It’s very offensive and distasteful, of course, but it reads off to me as if it’s coming from the perspective of somebody who doesn’t understand. And, Ned may NOT have understood to the fullest extent. Thats why i say i like it. Because i do think that matters. i really like the dynamic between noelle and Craig, and i like how nia isn’t end game. I like how we see them as two different girls, which is something Ned has struggled to discern in the past with BMC. I love the way Ned tied up the ending, and it genuinely moved me to tears to read the ending “verbs”. This is such a fucking beautiful novel and Ned Vizzini will be missed dearly

nia was born on april 4th , 1996 . she is the middle sister , but ever since she was born , her parents treated her differently than her sisters . he parents saw the hidden star in her , and decided to give her most of their attention . since she was young she would go with her dad to the studio , she would see him working on his music and she truly wished that one day she'd be like him .

she started writing at the early age of 12 , but didn't record any songs until much later . in her eyes , she was never good enough . a part of her was scared that if she will succeed it will only be thanks to the family she was born into and not her talent . but there was one boy who managed to change that .

that boy , tyler was his name , was everything she's ever wanted . she met him her freshman year of high school . he wasn't like the rest of them -- he didn't come from money , and nia felt like he truly saw her . they instantly clicked , and it didn't take long for them to start dating . they ended up dating al throughout high school , and he was truly the love of her life . her parents didn't like him though . they felt like he was distracting her from her future . but despite how they felt towards him , when she turned twenty - one , tyler proposed to her . she was over the moon happy !

however , two weeks before the wedding , and after a year-long engagement , nia found out that tyler has been cheating on her throughout their whole relationship and had used her for her fame and money . he mostly cheated on her with different women , but there was one girl who hurt her the most -- her best friend . turns out , tyler was sleeping with nia's best friend , the one that was supposed to be the maid of honor . nia's world was shattered -- was everything she knew a lie ? she obviously turned back to music and decided to focus on her music , and only that .

she's been releasing her music and have been working EXTREMELY hard , trying to gain some appreciation as an artist , since till this day , people still look at her as an untalented nepo baby .

I liked the part with the hearse.

Struggled a bit with this one. There were a few cute or even tender moments, but I couldn't bring myself to care about the romance between Darius (Larenz Tate) and Nina (Nia Long). The way he initially stalked her was more meet-creep than meet-cute, and left a bad taste in my mouth. By about halfway in I was hoping she would just ditch him already.

Nia Long was so pretty and charming. The scenes between her and her friend Josie (Lisa Nicole Carson) were fun to watch, but when the guys were around things got real pretentious. While mostly natural, the dialogue sometimes veered into philosophical, except without actually saying much. I think I just find artistic, spoken-poetry types unrelatable.

Good. It just didn't grab me.

i love video games but i'm not great at them. my favorite games of all time are omori, your turn to die, animal crossing new horizons, legend of zelda: breath of the wild (i haven't played totk yet, please no spoilers!!), spiritfarer, hades, good pizza great pizza, undertale, deltarune, pokémon emerald rogue, and story of seasons: pioneers of olive town. i'm looking forward to playing all the story of seasons games in the future!

✩ my favorite plays and musicals:

my favorite plays are little women (adapted by kate hamil), dance nation, fences, the glass menagerie, equus, eurydice, a raisin in the sun, and especially the miracle worker.

my favorite musicals are hadestown, ragtime, alice by heart, matilda, gypsy, west side story, ragtime, in the heights, great comet of 1812, pippin, come from away, the color purple, amelie, the mad ones, and fun home.

✩ celebrities i enjoy:

i don't really talk about celebrities much, but when i do, it's about these guys: maddie ziegler, chloe lukasiak, nia sioux fraizer, jojo siwa (i don't really know all the drama surrounding her, i just like her message), paige hyland, sofia vergara, lea salonga, eva noblezada, lin manuel miranda (i just think he's goof), beth malone, phillipa soo, karen olivo, dolly parton, amber gray, lauren zakrin.

★ my favorite side is roman, i actually kin him and relate to him a lot!

★ my least favorite side is patton. i don't think he's evil or anything, but i am very critical of him and i make him the antagonist in a lot of my aus.

★ my opinion on the sides from favorite to least favorite are as follows: roman, logan, remus, virgil, janus, patton.

★ i am an avid remy enjoyer and i think emile picani is cool.

★ i do a lot of canon-deviant headcanons such as race headcanons, pronoun headcanons, and disability headcanons. i am very respectful of these things and do lots of research, mainly because such headcanons are usually projections of myself and my own experiences.

★ i write a lot of sanders sides fanfiction and roleplay ideas, as well as aus. feel free to use anything you'd like for inspiration as long as you give me credit! i've had my work stolen before and it doesn't feel good.
