First Azulita!!!

So, she's my "official" online persona!!! That's why she's the face of my art account!! And will be the one I use on my YouTube channel when I finally move forward and start to make covers!!!

Anyways, she is what I think you all perceive of me?? Which is why I was so surprised... She is happy, excitable, cheerful, loving, has a lot of energy and isn't afraid to show her feelings. She's a ray of sunshine and kinda dumb, ngl. She's the definition of "No thoughts head empty"

She loves sweaters!! And her favorite one has the colors of the rainbow!! She used to be insecure about her horns (she's a demon!!!), so she always used to wear a hat or flower crown or anything she could to cover them, but has slowly grown comfortable with them and now doesn't care about showing them!

So, truth be told, Azulita was originally a dsmp self insert. Anyways, angst, because she was part of the Eggpire

And now Saori!!!

Saori is my Milgram oc/self insert!! She was created both because of my hyperfixation with milgram and wanting to be a part of it aaaand to self ship with kotoko, because I'm gay <3

She's kind and friendly! She's cheerful and a people pleaser!! She gets embarrassed easily, loves to sing and tries to be a friend and a safe space to everyone in the prison! She cares a lot about the others, going out of her way to make sure they are okay and a lot of time putting their needs before her own.

She canonically gets guilty first trial (⁠.⁠ ⁠❛⁠ ⁠ᴗ⁠ ⁠❛⁠.⁠) either because people needed to "teach her a lesson" or because they saw the situation, identified with it and said "she's wrong" or "how could she ever do that. She's horrible" or "to her best friend? I hope she dies" so yeah the second option is most probable. I can also see it being a really close vote, but ending up guilty. Buuuut I can't say more because I really wanna try to do something with her!!! And see what people think and come up with!!!

OH RIGHT!!! I've told this fun fact about Saori's name to a couple people now!!! But that her name is similar to Seari is a complete coincidence!!!!

So, all of this girls are me and are called [irl name], sometimes referred to as Seari too because yeah, but to talk about them I always call them by their colors!! When milgram came around and I wanted to share Saori's stuff I had to come up with a name, becase till then she was just [irl name] or "my milgram girl".

Saori's name is actually her middle name, her first and last names are irl me's. (Lol) but Saori was really close to actually being MY irl name, my parents considered naming me that, and that's why I gave her that name. While the name Seari is a mix of my irl first and middle names.

Claire: Willa Holland (Aqua - Kingdom Hearts). Maybe a tad softer but it's pretty damn close.

Cypress: Jason Liebrecht (Yato - Noragami). Yato has a very unique voice imo. I can never quite hear it right in my head or remember it the right way so I'm always having to look it up. Cypress isn't as upbeat or energetic as Yato but I think when Yato starts in with the serious monologue stuff it sounds a lot like what I imagine to be Cypress's voice.

Uriel: Brandon Winckler (Eugeo - Sword Art Online). Ngl I based Uri's looks off Eugeo a little bit. Their clothes are pretty much the same style, just different colors- Uri's is white with gold trim whereas Eugeo's is blue with white trim. They were actually supposed to look much similar but in the end Uri took on a different sort of look and I'm okay with that. He's come a long way! :)

Silas: Jerry Jewell (Kusuo Saiki - Saiki K, Kyo Sohma - Fruits Basket). Honestly I'm convinced Silas is just Saiki Lite™️ but with blue eyes and white hair lol. They're so similar. Silas is a little less cynical though. Kyo's voice may fit a little better than Saiki's since it's softer and slightly higher pitched, but you get the idea.

Rowan: Micah Solusod (Mizuki - Kamisama Kiss, Yukine - Noragami)

Aska: Melanie Lynskey (Beatrice - Over the Garden Wall)

I don't have a voice reference for Muse since they're more of a self insert and I kind of just hear my own voice when they speak so...

Bonus:

Adult!Luke: Elijah Wood (Wirt - Over the Garden Wall). The reason I included AgedUp!Luke is because he grows up towards the end of my fic series and is an adult by the time my next gen OC's are running around doing stuff. It has nothing to do with shipping or anything, it's 100% from plot and character development.

Honestly I feel like Older!Luke and Wirt are kind of the same? Like I can see Luke having a slightly nervous or anxious demeanor, or he's always irritated and complaining about the brothers behavior, and some of the monologues Wirt has throughout the show feel like they could come straight out of Luke's mouth instead.

Like, this gives me TOTAL Luke (and Aska as Beatrice) vibes. This one reminds me of how he's always arguing with Mammon. And THIS one is a full minute and a half of Wirt being dramatic which, if you ask me, is exactly like Luke.

Mmm, yeah, I'm not getting any new friends with this one. That's for sure. But you notice that on the question about characters that shouldn't exist, I said 'not to use it as an excuse to be misogynistic'? It's because I've noticed some really cruel and unfair takes made by women and girls in this fandom who take it upon themselves it rip apart the female characters who dare to get to close to their male faves or who dare to stand in the way of their hot mlm ships and that shit is so not okay. It reeeeeks of internalized misogyny and it makes me sick to read half of the time. (Tbh, this is as much of a gripe about general fandom behaviors than just the rgg fandom but still.)

And you can most definitely tell when it's not thoughtful criticism of female characters who were victims of poor writing (and male writer's rooms) that weren't used to their fullest of potentials. They're the ones that echo the sentiment of 'she was so plain' and 'what did he even see in her' or 'their relationship seemed forced' without very much substantial evidence to back it up. Or just plain old ignoring that the canon romance ever happened- and not because they don't care for romance in general but because they don't want that particular romance.

Don't get me wrong. There have been some takes I've seen about how a certain female character and a certain male protagonist seemed forced that absolutely made sense that weren't rooted in misogyny. I didn't agree but I saw the point! And then there are some that it's like, babe ok- we get it, you want him to only look at your self-insert oc and that's but like, say that next time????

I don't know.

And for those of us that don't identify that way don't get a pass here either, it's still not okay! (sorry I'm not phrasing that properly)

How do I come to the conclusion that a lot of this nasty vitriol toward female characters are based in internalized and general misogyny?

So many of us spend hundreds if not thousands of words, explaining why we don't like *insert poorly written female character* and why they shouldn't have been included in the story and then in the very next post will create these very elaborate think pieces about why this abysmally written male characters is (actually very good, and deeper than we realize, guys!) That shit is fucked.

Why do so many of us expect female characters (who are written by cis-men btw) to be spokespersons for women everywhere who must be deep and complex despite being in, what, 12% percent of the storyline? Meanwhile, we accept the most mediocre of male characters that an entire story can be based up and spend months analyzing and dissecting them in an attempt to make them more interesting that they actually are. Where is the courtesy for female characters? Why are we like this?

And don't even get me started on how we crucify female characters for being bad people and then worship the ground that our fave male characters stand on and go 'oh what a wacky little guy'. Nah, bruh, where the fuck is that same energy??????? WHERE?! IS?! IT?!

And before anyone says a peep, I am and have been guilty of this too. But many of us are too old to be acting the way that we did when we were 12 year olds watching anime and seeing our 2d bfs kissing their female loves interests. It's a lil sick, man. Ngl.

You were out there a second ago manifesting against the selling of old historical places to be turned into luxury hotels. The city slowly becoming impossible to live into. The house prices skyrocketing and the poorest being pushed away from their city.

You were just holding a sign when the policeman pushed away an old man shouting his house was being taken away from him.

You rushed to him dropping the sign “let him go!” You shouted as you tackled the arm of the guard pushing the old man out of his way. That man could be old but he wasn’t taking a no as an answer.

You pulled the agent arm as he tried to shrug you off and in the end he made it by snapping his elbow in your face which lead to the domino effect of another guy that was there to push the old grandpa away attacking the armed man as you got dragged to the van and pushed inside by his fellow agents.

You crawled in as you dropped on your knees moving to sit down in the corner.

You looked down at your legs as you sat into the police van now. One of your legs trembling rhythmically, the adrenaline taking over you still but it will go down and that moment frightened you the most.

Why it always had to end up like this? With beating. You never got into this situation before though.

You touched onto your bottom lip staring at the little of blood coming out from it.

“Are you okay?”

The guy that tried to protect you was pushed inside after you, a big red sign on the side of his face that will soon become a very dark bruise framing his naturally soft features. You looked up at him and even if the shock was still running through you his stance was admirable and his attitude extremely charming even if in a very quiet way. You remembered him from previous manifestations, alway with another guy and a girl, but you never came to the point of talking with him.

But today, he really saved you from getting probably a boot stomping onto you.

“I am okay, you are hurt” you said and he frowned looking at your bleeding but then his hand grazed his own face and he whined lightly

“They always go for the face, the spineless bastards” he growled.

You kept quiet as you looked at his fiery eyes while he frowned and more people were getting kicked in the van.

“JAN, JAN I WILL SEE YOU AT THE POLICE STATION!!” A voice called and the guy beside you stomped his hand on the blacked glass to signal he got it.

“Jan” he said to you

“Y/N”

You said back looking down at his bruised hands and knuckles.

“I saw you” he said and you frowned for a moment and he cleared his throat “I mean, I remember you at the manifestation for the climate change, you do very witty signs”

You chuckled and blushed a bit as you really put a lot of effort to make the signs rhyme and decor them.

“Thank you” you said as he smiled a bit shyly.

“I am shit at arts” he admitted making you chuckle lightly as you got more squeezed together when few more people got pushed into the van and the vehicle started moving after getting locked. your bodies started shaking and swaying lightly from side to side, some turns squishing you against each other but you were too worried to think, to process it.

The driver wasn’t being nice but the anxiety of what will happen next was making you shiver, you never got in such a big deal even if it was probably a matter of time since you and troubles were like wind and a kite.

“i’m not scared but if you are, you can hold my hand” he offered as he was holding one hand flat on the wall beside you not to be thrown around.

His other hand opened slowly as you took it gulping down because of fear.

You gave him a squeeze and he bumped lightly his forehead onto your temple like to take your thoughts away.

You were hyperventilating but then he shifted to give you more air and his hand slowly laced fingers with yours.

“It will be a moment, just a bit of scolding and signing papers and we will be off for a beer”

You looked up at him and smiled just a bit even if fear was still on your skin.

“I promise you’ll be fine”

You nodded as you believed him.
