// lord I have not written here in a minute- this is somewhat based off an interaction that occurred in a rp once so I wanted to write down my view of it! There’s also a new character here too which is Enid from that series about Wednesday,, but anyway: TW for mention of meditation if that’s a bit of a trigger to anyone

Just swallow it. It’s not that hard.

Winnie told himself this, staring into the reflection of the lone mirror in the bathroom. He takes a deep breath, shoving a few of the medication in his mouth before swallowing. It was difficult to get this, he never really went to therapy or visited a doctor. So Augustine did it for him and lied to a pharmacist. He claimed he had the hallucinations instead so he could get anti psychotics. Winnie was doing anything at this point to keep HIM at bay.

He sighed before going back to his room to his friends, Ruby and one other girl he met named Enid. “Winnie! You doing okay?” Enid asked him the moment he stepped in. He didn’t really feel like talking, he just wanted the meds to kick in. “Yeah-! I’m okay.” He replied, smiling before taking a seat. Ruby was fast asleep. “I’m glad. I’ve just been watching over Ruby here. Still fast asleep.” She chuckled.

Winnie sat beside Ruby, he could feel the medicine begin to kick in. Maybe this time he’d finally be free..maybe it would work, and he wouldn’t have to be plagued by him any longer…

Then he felt it.

The flash. His vision blurred for a split second to that of the familiar planet. Pathos.

He sat up, trying to control his breathing. Enid looked over to him. “Is everything alright Winnie? You kind of look pale…”

“You pathetic worm…”

That familiar voice was enough to have Winnie looking around the room frantically. He stood up, and so did Enid. “Hey- Winnie! It’s okay! What’s wrong?” Concern was laced in her voice. He turned to face her, also seeing Ruby beginning to stir. “I- I gotta use the bathroom really fast!” Winnie said with quickness in his voice as he rushed to the bathroom.

I don’t understand. It should’ve worked.

“I may be dead…but you’ll never be able to escape me…”

The familiar voice rang out once more as Winnie turned to face him. To face Red. It was like he was there before he quickly retreated back into his shadow. Winnie took a step back, his back hitting against the sink in a panic as he turned to face the mirror, then slowly to the bottle of medicine.

It should’ve worked. Why won’t he leave? WHY WON’T HE LEAVE?
