VOOTIE

The term “vootie” was first spoken by a chimpanzee in a 1955 issue of Mad magazine.  Amongst the funny animal crowd it was considered proper speech for any chimpanzee.

Much later Mike Baron and Steve Rude used the word in Nexus as an all-purpose exclamation of positivity, joy, elation, and surprise amongst the many denizens of the planet Ylum.
