If your still looking for music recs, I really recommend The Mechanisms! They're sorta a clusterfudge of stuff, but take Steampunk, Sea shanties/folk music, and Queer retellings of Classic stories and mythologies and Put it in space and make it a tragedy .
It sounds like a mess but it works really well! Most albums have narration in one track and music in the next, so I don't recommend shuffling the story albums on a first listen.
There are four story albums, two albums of supplementary songs, a single and a live recording album of their last show, plus a website of lore if your into that!
Personally I recommend Ulysses dies at dawn (Noir + Greek Mythology) and The Bifrost Incident (A train sabotage + Norse mythology + Eldritch beings beyond mortal understanding + Space Lesbians ) but there's also High Noon Over Camalot (Western + King Arthur) and Once Upon a Time (in Space) (( Space War + fairy tales + Space lesbians))
Sorry for the ramble! The Mechs are one of my favorite bands and i like talking about them!
very interesting... i've never listened to a band that's so heavily focused on telling a story like this! i'm sure most of the albums i listen to have a story as well i just *tunes it out most of the time* i'm listening to ulysses dies at dawn rn and i'm intrigued by what they're doing here! ty for the recommendation i'll have to keep listening >:)
