the other thing interesting about this series is.
episode 1 - the timeless child gets brought up again. we're reminded of the doctor before they became one.
episode 2 - susan reference. 1960s. we're reminded of one.
episode 3 - skye boat song. we're reminded of two.
episode 4 - unit makes a cameo. we're reminded of three.
i can only assume we're going to get a four reference next episode.
#fifteenth doctor#dw spoilers#idk what it all MEANS but.#i literally said this before watching 73 yards and i was like i bet there'll be a three reference#& there was unit#so.#next ep looks more like the happiness patrol to me but we shall see!!

Mavi Phoneix, Pop’s New Girl-Superhero.
Mavi Phoenix is a lovely, fashionable and creative budding pop star from Austria. She released her second EP titled “Young Prophet” late in March and her name and work has taken off since then. Her beautiful, reliably-solid autotuned vocals and simple, well-refined production blend together to create this enrapturing and captivating style of music. She raps sometimes too. Her “Love Longtime” track which is arguably the finest on the “Young Prophet” EP is a unique love-themed ballad that describes infatuation, obsession and love loyalty.
I reached out to her to talk about how she got her name, her music and style, and taking her music unto the bigger stage. She responded quite quickly and with relish and gusto, thank the Lord for that. Check out the mini-interview below;
Hello, this is Tosin Zoo from Twitter. I had asked for an interview with you and you told me to reach you on your email, so here we are. Thanks for accepting my request to interview you.
So for the interview, I'm just gonna be asking you a bunch of questions and hopefully the answer to the questions will be in the reply to this email. OK, let's get to it.
1.How did you get your name, Mavi Phoenix?
If my brother were a girl my mum would've named him Mavi. So that's when I first heard of this name and I always liked it. Phoenix is a name that sounds really big and majestic. "Mavi Phoenix" shall remind you of a superhero.
2.Where are you from originally, because a lot of Spanish influences have been noticed in your tracks?
I was born and raised in Austria. I learned Spanish in school and hated it so I thought it would be nice to come to terms with the language by writing a Spanish-influenced hit song which is "Aventura".
3.How would you describe your music, like genre-wise?
I'd say its pop music with a lot of influences. A lot of hip hop, alternative rap and RnB. It’s really everything. New school shit.
4.Where was your EP created? Where do you stay or reside presently?
I’ve been in Vienna for almost 2 years. I'm originally from Linz, a small city 2 hours from Vienna. My dear friend & great music producer Alex The Flipper lives in Linz, so most of the EP was made there.
5.What was the experience like creating your "Young Prophet" EP, was it strenuous or easy?
Both, really. Like in the beginning, it was hard for me to know where I wanted go with this piece. I wanted to define my style. I've had a lot of songs finished that I had to turn down because I didn't feel them anymore, you know? That was a big, strenuous step that had to be done. But after that I've felt free to be truly creative. And then it was easy. “Aventura” & “Love Longtime” for instance were done in a really short period of time.
6.Who do you look up to in music? What type of music do you listen to most? Who influences your music most?
I look up to artists like Tyler, The Creator, Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell Williams but also Lady Gaga - not music-wise but how she handles her image and position is worth looking up to. I mostly listen to hip hop, so I guess that's what influences me the most. But then again I listened to Snow Patrol the whole day yesterday.
7.How much do you get involved with the production of your music? Are you your own producer? If yes, how do you go about your production?
My first EP "My Fault" is completely produced by me. For "Young Prophet" I teamed up with Alex (Alex The Flipper) who I mentioned earlier - we produced everything together.
8.Are you signed to any label right now? If no, have you been getting offers recently, after the release of your "Young Prophet" EP?
I've got my own label called "LLT Records", I wanted to be completely independent and keep all the rights and shit. So yeah I'm very happy with that. The offers are coming though. We'll see.
9.Who are you looking to work with as time goes on?
I don't have anyone specific in mind. I'm happy if I get to work with authentic, creative people.
10.What else do you do apart from making music?
Honest answer; nothing.
11.What's next from you, for you, like you dropping any more projects this year?
This year I don't know. Maybe at the end of this year I'll drop something new.
