NASA-led Team Gains Fresh Insights into Distant Planet with Help of Scientist's Forecast of Alien Weather

Dr Michael Roman, a researcher from the University of Leicester School of Physics and Astronomy, has made groundbreaking observations about the atmospheric conditions of the exoplanet GJ 1214b. The planet, which was discovered in 2009, has long been shrouded in a thick layer of cloud or haze, making it difficult for astronomers to determine its atmospheric composition. Dr Roman's work is part of an international research programme led by NASA, which seeks to explore the vast universe and unlock the mysteries of distant worlds. His alien weather forecast of GJ 1214b has helped shed light on the planet's atmospheric conditions and provided new insights into the composition of its atmosphere. As soon as I saw pictures of NASA's newly discovered planet, TOI 1338b, I knew I had to make a painting 😊 It seems a shame to give such a beautiful planet a boring scientific name 😭

Researchers working with data from NASA’s Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) have discovered the mission’s first circumbinary planet, a world orbiting two stars. The planet, called TOI 1338 b, is around 6.9 times larger than Earth, or between the sizes of Neptune and Saturn. It lies in a system 1,300 light-years away in the constellation Pictor.
