You had a very special pillow.

It was peach pink and white, made from the plushiest yarn that you found on a whim. It stayed fluffy and you could sit on it and still see the corners peek out when you're cross legged.

You often referred to it as one of your best creations. It reminded him of those cartoon pillows that would swallow anyone up if they sat in it. Ya'll had some good times with that pillow.

🌟 🌟 BOOK REVIEW🌟 🌟 💫 Delilah Green Doesn't Care has everything a classic Hallmark holiday romance could ask for - small town vibes, a trio of friends who would stand for each other through thick and thin, and even an evil stepmother. Of course, this wouldn't be enough without the introduction of a quintessential mysterious protagonist from the Big Apple and the consequent romance, heartbreaks and eventual "they lived happily after" routine. Delilah Green lives the life of an artistic nomad somehow surviving on a bare minimum and a carefree lifestyle until a call from her stepsister, Astrid, reminds her of agreeing to be the photographer in a 2-week wedding charade. Delilah reluctantly agrees to return to Bright Falls, the site of her isolated childhood for the paycheck. The story oscillates between Delilah and Clare Sutherland, one of Astrid's friends, fighting her own woes with a teenage daughter and an "always ready to disappear" ex. An expected encounter between the long-haired tattooed Delilah and Clare sparks this steamy queer romance with enough fun moments induced to keep readers engaged. If I have to crib, the "steamy" physical portions were too many and too graphic for my liking and could easily have been done away with. Among the friends, Iris was someone who provided some comic relief though if you have read romcoms, this was nothing new to write about. Clare's character was complex but well developed. Delilah was fun, and the flirting with Clare, the simmering tension and the romance, her relationship with Ruby and the eventual reunion with Astrid were the highlights. Using Delilah's photographs to provide an insight into her feelings was a nice touch. Astrid, though, was a standout- the final reveal would make you cheer for her. Overall, can't wait for her spin-off to come out in Nov! Delilah Green had its flaws but was thoroughly entertaining.
