Sweetie is a young lady that was recently recruited into the Toppat Clan! While being full of joy and whimsy, she still manages to get the job done despite her lack of experience. She excels in social situations, being able to bring joy to even the most stoic people. She doesn't take too many high risk jobs (mostly because she's a NOOB and can't really handle it), and spends most of her time tagging along with the other members for training :3!

She also designed her own hat and her outfit and smells like cake all the time... Shes very silly. Very whimsical. ANYWAY I MIGHT DRAW HER MORE BECAUSE SHES REALLY CUTE AND I LOVE HER... I HOPE YOU GUYS LIKE IT! SORRY IT LOOKS A LITTLE MESSY HEHEH

THSC Meta Voice Potential Backstory + Additional headcanons

Because my first post about them was long enough and also because there's a lot more headcanon than actual lore meat this time around.

I do go a bit in-depth with explaining some of them at the end, but I'm starting with the headcanons themselves. I want to focus on the headcanons rather than having the long explanations dominate the entire post. It's a bit of a different format than I usually do, but it's one I want to try out. (That and not all of them have explanations beyond "vibes" so I'm giving myself some leeway there.)

Starting with the "shock twist" headcanon: I do genuinely believe them to have once been a stick figure who lived in the THSCverse like Henry, Charles, Dave, etc., rather than having always been a disembodied string of text.

They were most likely a superpowered stick figure like Henry, but they probably had weaker, downgraded versions of their current timeline-stopping abilities (the FAILs).

Their other abilities (eg conjuration) arose as a result of their integration into the fabric of their reality, rather than being part of their default abilities.

They used to be a gadgeteer, and still engage with gadgetry off to the side.

Said gadgetry profession may be directly related to their disappearance, or their merging with their reality. No solid headcanon on what caused whatever happened to them but I do have a potential idea.

They had a criminal history before Henry, and have a kleptomania problem of their own.

They don't age, at least not anymore. They stopped after they integrated into the game.

Their attachment to Henry is in part because Henry is the only one who can actually see them anymore.

As for explanations behind them, I’m breaking it into sections since it’s. long.

Gadgetry

First off, I wanna discuss their affinity for gadgetry (smth that @/stickthinks brought up in their THSC live blog that I've been fixated on ever since).

While the meta voice knows more about the various people and locales seen throughout the game than any one person in the universe feasibly could, their knowledge isn't limitless. Many of their comments seem to be guesswork rather than actual knowledge. Furthermore, for how much they seem to know, their attitude toward people in general is rather... blasé, and doesn't seem to be too partial to who Henry aligns himself with.

What they DO show a vested interest in is the various gadgets that Henry uses. The first example is actually the first two instances of the Teleporter in the remastered Breaking the Bank and in Escaping the Prison. In Breaking the Bank, they state that the teleporter uses new technology and is optimistic about its potential, and assume the fail in EtP is Henry not knowing how to use it.

Their first hint of actually knowing how stuff works comes from the Opacitator, in which they mention a Beta Testing phase; both words are specifically capitalized, implying that this is a formally named stage of development (I mean I would hope so).

Where it's really revealed to have in depth knowledge is in the Wormhole Rifle fail, where we get its iconic info dump moment, where it gives a detailed run-down of the mechanics and makeup of the gun.

“I'm surprised you weren't able to get down there with that amazing portal technology. It's pretty strange how those portal guns work. I mean it combines the top scientific processes of our time. the portal gun contains a flux quantum generator which propels energy blasts with energy volumes of 4.23 GW with an average speed of 25 m/s. this speed is most effective because it allows the energy to be conserved while still maintaining a speed that is appropriate. The external plastic coating on the portal gun is constructed of a high polymer fireproof carbon fiber. this prevents the intense energy of the portal gun from burning the hands of the user. The intense energy causes intense heat. Oh by the way if you want a medal/achievement click here. I've heard that scientists still do not know what happens if two portals are placed on top of one another. The last time that was attempted... Well I'm sure you heard about it on the news.” End ID.]

What's interesting is that it mentions that there actually WAS an attempt to place two portals on top of each other, but doesn't go into detail about what. This could either imply that they simply consider it common knowledge not worth repeating, or it could imply that the subject is uncomfortable enough that they'd rather avoid it. The latter option could be an indication that they were actually present for the attempt.

Going further, they may have even directly worked on the Jetboots. The fail message is specifically a production note.

Their Original Form, And Why They Changed

The reason I wanted to go over that one first is because it ties into some other stuff. For instance, it proves that they’re more tied to the THSCverse than to our world. Especially given that, in the wormhole rifle info dump, they specifically say “it combines the top scientific processes of our time,” when the concept of a portal gun is still completely fictional in our world.

Additionally, they question our apparent inability to distinguish visually near-identical stick figures (indirectly acknowledging the player as not a stick figure by proxy).

Thus, it’s reasonable to conclude that the meta is not only originally part of the THSCverse, but also that it is, itself, a stick figure (unless it became something else after their “ascension”.

As for other arguments proving their mortality, or pseudo mortality, they allude to three very notably organic behaviors:

1) they take a bathroom break during the calculator fail in std, suggesting a need, or at least the capacity, to eat food and drink fluids.

2) they mention having a nightmare similar to the g-inverter effects, proving that they used to sleep, if they don’t continue to do so.

3) they complain about their ears hurting from the Sonic pulse fail—direct proof that they can feel pain, even if they can’t die from injury.

As for what happened to turn them into what they are now, I don’t have any solid ideas, just a possible suggestion. It ends off its info dump by mentioning an experimental attempt at putting two portals on top of each other, but trails off and dismisses itself with an assumption that Henry “heard about it on the news.” This could be its usual nonchalance, or it could be the exact opposite: discomfort. It's possible that they were there for the attempt, and the incident was traumatic in some way (either through the process of changing into what we know them as now, or the change itself).

Adjusting to New Powers

Even with the notion that they weren't always in this form, it's worth noting that they seem fairly competent with actually triggering a fail. We don't get any fails triggered on accident (the fake fail in EtP is deliberate as they directly reference the fact that you won't be able to read it all at once), nor do we get particularly awkward cutoffs (the closest being the Shovel fail, which is only there to give you enough time to stop the car). However, the specific style of the fail screens changes with each game, implying some amount of experimentation. This is amplified in the Breaking the Bank remake, in which the fail screen sound effect changes for each fail, which could suggest unfamiliarity on their part.

Furthermore, their ability to interact with the world and the game itself is slim to nothing until Fleeing the Complex, in which they access a command line. They also learn to interact directly with the player via pop ups. They do get a little carried away, though.

Their abilities get more advanced in Completing the Mission, in which they access a transform menu, have a voice clip, speak in text outside of a fail screen, and even summon objects into the world.

Criminal History + Kleptomania

The fail screen in Midnight Surprise alludes to some past that we don’t actually see. The closest we get are the Explosives fail in BtB and C4 fail in ItA.

In general, they’re nonchalant about Henry’s crimes and sometimes try to give pointers to help out. Its comment on Henry’s failed bribery attempt even suggests they’ve committed briberies before, and multiple times.

As for their kleptomania, the multiple collectible-based achievements in the series aren’t just collectibles found in isolation of one another, they’re usually things that belong to someone else (Assemble the Crew may be an exception depending on interpretation, but a crewmate is seen in the Toppats’ vault so it could count as stealing). Additionally, they don’t serve any benefit beyond ticking up the achievement progression.

It’s worth noting that this is all done through the player’s hand and is entirely optional, but given that various fails give achievements, including via interactions with the fail screen text itself, we can most likely assume that the meta voice is at least partially responsible for divvying out achievements. Weak evidence? Perhaps, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

There’s also the pickpocket fail in which they cheer on Henry’s decision to take all of Isaac Binderson’s “loot”—immediately after questioning whether he really needed to.

Don’t worry. Just because I’ve got new hyperfixations, doesn’t mean I forgot about The Henry Stickmin Collection. Yep, I’m still keeping that interest going after over 3 years (which I still can’t believe), which goes to show that, for some people, hyperfixations do last a long time. Anyway, not only am I returning to my hyperfixation, but I’m also adding on to an old plot point in a comic I was planning on making last year. You can actually find the prequel to the sketch here! Anyways, this sketch for Prompt 5, Map, is related to an unfinished THSC AU that I did a while back where, rather than being adopted into the Toppat Clan, Reesina was simply a latchkey kid that grew up in a small town where, at around 5 years old, she met Dave Panpa, a young security guard at the nearby museum who would often take care of her when her parents were busy. Here, while talking about his Canadian heritage, Dave decided to show Reesina a map of Canada. Needless to say, the exact moment he saw her expression as she looked over every province and territory, he could already see her older self loving them just as much as she did when she was younger.

I've got butterfly's and nerves all week. It's been a while since I "Dated" a guy so nerves are high. We met online so this is the first day and meet. But we've talked tons... via text. We never could schedule with our schedules to talk over call or facetime (something you should generally do) but we couldn't correlate are schedules the last few days to do so.

It's just an exciting time I wanted to share with you.

I had a fun idea the other day to post what I may be wearing, hair ideas, makeup and do a voting thing just to make it something fun. But... with my phone power level it is now, I'll likely have it off for a few hours that such time would have benefited to do so.

I may do this IN THE FUTURE for funsies!

I still have THSC 3Rd anniversary art and other art coming soon. Weather this last month and AQI has been crazy in my area of Washington the last few weeks. Due to heat or air quality related to smoke in the air from Canada fires (as an allergy induced asthmatic) has delayed art as some days I couldn't work on them. And others thanks to the same instances effected my old computer to overheat and go through hours if performing self maintenance.

So A LOT has happened, but I finally am at a spot with the art that I can say it should be coming hopefully in the next week.

THSC Facing the Facade ⏳ Story Arc #1 - Every Little Lie Gives Me Butterflies 🦋 In a world filled with such interesting and unique people. Whether they are good, bad, or perhaps neutral there is every bright sense of hope throughout everyone as they do their best to reach their goals. Here we check out a story revolving around two opposing factions. The Government and The Toppat Clan, with both sides serving as your typical heroic and evil teams respectively all while still having lawful senses one way or another. It soon becomes apparent that the Exiled Incubus, named Henry Stickmin, was forced into intervening with the situation between the two factions and learned that nothing in the world is truly black and white. After being an infamous thief for quite some time, Henry chose to stop his thieving ways for good after choosing to side with the Government. Meeting new allies such as Charles Calvin the Holy Angel Ace Pilot, Sven Svensson the Courage-Type Hylian Double Agent, and a good amount of unique people as well! This could never be any better! Right? - - - - - - - Since I made a manga art cover of the THSC Crime Lord AU, I might as well make one for the THSC Facade AU as well ⏳ This particular volume will feature the first story arc of this little collab, containing 4 chapters within the revamped version of the given story 📕 As of now only the first two chapters of this story arc is complete, but the other two will be finished sooner or later 📖 This is also the first time I drew Henry and Charles as humans rather than stickfigures in an art piece relating to the THSC Facade Collab AU 🎀 Feel free to read the story on Wattpad, as well as on AO3 🌹

Bella and I fucking discussed said series, so I know that she also sees Husk’s song as him trying to realistically support Angel Dust through relating to Angel’s own ADDICTIONS and them both SELLING THEIR SOULS TO FREAKS, they literally SING that part where they VOICE those addictions. He’s not saying that it’s Angel’s fault, he’s not blaming him. I really don’t fucking understand where do haters like you see that. Husk can’t help Angel right now. He can’t fight Valentino and he doesn’t know how to break the contract, so he’s offering support. Realistic. This is an important announcement for me, I just want to say that I no longer feel like drawing things or creating things related to THSC, but that doesn't mean I'm leaving tumblr. I still feel like drawing, but now I want to create other things that aren't related to the game, which also means that my au won't be continued due to lack of interest in the artwork. The Henry Stickmin Tumblr Sexyman Bracket: Round 1!!!

Over the last 24 hours I’ve curated a list of potential sexyman candidates and have carefully placed them on this bracket, doing my best to minimize one-sided matches to create a series of interesting matchups from beginning to end. The result is this bracket.

Over the next few days, you all will vote on a series of polls for which of these stick figures is most deserving of the status of Tumblr Sexyman. Which characters do you thirst for most? Which characters do you think has the most thirst potential? Which characters have you seen more thirst content for?

What would Polythreat be like in the other times like Toppat King, Master Bounty Hunter, and Stickmin Space Resort. Just wanted to see how Polythreat would look like other timelines.

TK: Maybe Charles got capture during the rocket launch and become a Toppat's prisoner. Henry and Ellie would visit him and get to know each other.

MBH: Henry and Charles want to the Wall to arrest Dmitri. While there, they meet and free Ellie who decide to help take down Dmitri.

How would you think Polythreat would work in other timelines.

Polythreat: Enter the Multiverse. There was no reason to write that, it just entered my mind and I thought it was funny.

I'll share some ideas I've had, but forgive me for skimping on details... just in case I want to write one of these stories someday.

Plot ideas below the cut

SSR: After finding Ellie being unethically interrogated in a government base, Charles frees her and the two go on the run. They spend a year on the run, get together as a couple, and through a series of shenanigans end up stowing away on a shuttle up to Stickmin Space Resort. Henry offers them sanctuary in exchange for employment, partially out of sympathy but mostly because he's really freakin' bored, and this is the most exciting thing to happen since he'd stolen the Toppats rocket.

So Ellie works as security while Charles drives a spaceship and helps with guided tours. Henry, curious about their story because they've only told bits and pieces and he's actually a drama loving weirdo, spends a lot of time with the both of them and eventually catches feelings. Romcom shenanigans ensue as Charles and Ellie both develop a crush on him and agree to pursue him together, while Henry wonders what the heck these brand-new feelings are all about. Also goverment related drama as they try to get Ellie and Charles back. And maybe the Toppats cause trouble too? Haven't decided yet.

JB: Enemies to friends to lovers GOLD. I know TCW may reek of this more, but I have a blatent bias for PBT routes, and also there's too much comedy to get out of TCW for me to take it seriously in any context.

Anyways, so after Henry betrays Ellie and steals the Norwegian Emerald while screwing over the Toppats, Ellie hears about it and breaks out on her own. She then finds Henry and the two of them become bitter rivals in thievery. Galeforce, unfortunately, took the fall for the chaos they caused and Charles takes stopping them as a personal mission. Thief vs detective type shenanigans ensue as the three constantly sabotage each other. Henry treats it all like a huge game, Ellie is seething with rage, and Charles very quickly gets fed up with their shenanigans.

Things come to a head when a trap gone wrong leads to the three of them crashing Charles' helicopter on a mountain. They agree to work together to get back to civilization. Nobody is happy with this. As they make the journey down, they reluctantly begin to understand each other. They've each got mental issues from the events of THSC, and this leads to mutual respect by the time they get back to the city. It develops into a less toxic rivalry, which develops into Henry and Ellie occasionally making things easier on Charles. At some point Henry apologies to Ellie. I don't have all the details yet. But I do know exactly how it ends.

TR: Unfortunately, it would take some pretty extreme trauma to push someone like Charles to join the Toppat Clan. And extreme trauma is exactly what happened. Unfortunately, this is actually something I have in progress, so I can't elaborate too much more. But I will say this: Henry and Ellie are surprised and annoyed to be put on Governemnt Lapdog babysitting duty, but slowly come to care about him as he continually risks his life for theirs and endears himself to them. Ellie falls first, interestingly enough, though Charles is initially more interested in Henry. It's not... quite a love triangle, though. He just has a reason to believe he can trust Henry more than Ellie. The three of them eventually find common ground though, as Henry and Ellie comfort Charles as he tells them why he joined the clan.

CG: After reliveing the Toppat Clan of all their riches (and also killing their Chief), Henry and Ellie became a duo of vigilante heroes. They work outside the law to bring justice, with Galeforce a secret government contact leaking info to them to help them out. Charles isn't too keen on their brand of justice at first but finds that they've actually helped a lot of people. The place where they set up HQ knew they were performing criminal acts, he discovers, but didn't turn them in because they liked and trusted the two more than the police.

It's a lot of moral introspection for Charles, with him slowly coming to the side of 'protecting the innocent is more important than following the law'. This culminates in him rescuing Ellie and Henry from a government-sanctioned assassination attempt, where they bombed the heck out of their hideout, and officially joins their vigilante group. Ellie and Henry both come to like him, but keep their distance to avoid scaring him and upsetting each other... so CHARLES has to make the first move. I'm sure you can imagine how that went.

And that's all I have for you right now! It's fun to come up with these sorts of alternate scenarios, isn't it? Maybe I'll write these, maybe I won't. But it was fun.
