"I sat down for coffee with my good friend Donna Missal one day and we talked for hours about music, songwriting, etc. I talked a bit about the early seeds of inspiration for the new music I was working on. How it's about having fun and writing music that is free and playful. I wasn't yet sure exactly how to deviate from the way I've written in the past, but the prospect excited me.
