A/N: idk what I was high on when I wrote this but here it is. This is also the first time I'm writing anything like this so if you guys have any suggestions or otherwise pls do say so. Lemme know if I should make a part 2 cause I had many ideas for it.
Tumblr media
1. Ok so we already know that grayon is a curious person by nature so he'll try to learn about your culture and much as he can.
2. He'll absolutely loveeee when you dress in your traditional clothing.
3. Imagine full photo shoot and stuff.
4.Lovesss to see you get ready. Imagine him gifting jhumkas🥹
5.FUSION DATE NIGHTS
6.I imagine my guy doesn't have a good spice tolerance and the first time he tried your food his face becomes all red and he drinks all the milk in the house to calm down.
7. Tries to increase his spice tolerance so yall can enjoy the food.
8. Will try to eat with hands for you idk i feel like he'll like it too @lanterns-and-daydreams
9. Still prefers coffee to tea but will drink it with you.
10. Gives side eye whenever someone calls it cHaI TeA.
11. Evening teas together 🥹.
12. Ready to throw hands if anyone says ANYTHING to you.
13. And by that I mean anything racist or otherwise.
14. Extremely protective but makes sure not to be too much or suffocating.
15. If you're new to the country, he'll take you to all the tourist spots and the places you wanna see.
16. Will buy out the entire place or rent it out if it's too crowded lol
17. ABSOLUTELY LOVES IT WHEN YOU PUT MEHANDI (HENNA)
18. Will hold your hands and trace the designs until they go off.
19. Will try to make some designs himself.
20. IMAGINE PUTTING A RIDDLE OR SOMETHING LIKE DESIGN ON YOUR HAND AND TELLING HIM TO SOLVE IT.
21. Whenever there is a festival around the corner will always ask if you're putting mehandi again and if he can do it for you. Ok I'm obsessed with this
22. He would try to learn your language and surprise you with it.
23. IMAGINE IF HE TRIES TO MAKE POEMS FOR YOU IN YOUR LANGUAGE
24. NSFW HEADCANON
Ok imagine this
He got you a cute Payal which has small bells on it. AND THEN HE RAILS YOU WHILE YOUR LEGS ARE ON HIS SHOULDERS AND HE CAN HEAR THE BELLS EJEJJKSKSKWNDJEKEKEKEK
For reference in case you didn't understand this is what I'm referring to

All We Imagine As Light is a mesmerizing new film by Indian filmmaker Payal Kapadia that shines a light on a few individual nurses living among the millions of workers in Bombay, putting Western audiences in the shoes of people they would never have a chance to know otherwise. And it does this in the most engaging, real, and immersive ways that true cinema can, transporting you to another life. Bombay is portrayed in a Blade Runner type of way, as a city mostly seen at night, during constant rain, where individuals living on the streets can't find the light blocked by the skyscrapers of the rich. Yet, they still dream and seek love and freedom. Something they will poetically find in the second part of the film when they travel to a seaside village and claim their fantasies. Authentical in its form, with strong performances and a moody music score and sound design, this is cinema both as art and as individual expression. An original but universal voice you should listen to and keep an eye for in the future.

Comrades are gold 🪙
Three days back we arrived in Munich and stayed with Payal’s comrades, whom she met in 2015 at the first Ende Gelände action to occupy a coal mine. As we're all older now we talked a bit about how we can best make change in the world and our frustration at the lack of progress on solving climate change.
We also talked about our parents needing us as they age, what makes for ideal holidays, designer furniture (René was impressed that Laura & Philip had a Max Bill Ulman stool!) and good German cinema (The 2 P's vouch for the actor Tom Schilling).
All this talk happened while Philip was creating & serving up tasty food. They were the supreme hosts. During such moments one realises how lucky one is - being invited in and treated like royalty, although we've only met a few times; bonds are based on quality, not quantity.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Getting out of Munich took some time and Madame Google drove us 🦇🦇 at times, but then we discovered the cycle path along the Isar river - it was bliss to cycle there, hearing the birds and the water! And we had a tasty lunch prepared by Philip on the banks of the Isar.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We cycled through Landshut, which has become Payal’s new favourite small city, trumping Passau, where we are headed to tomorrow to celebrate Payal’s exchange mother's birthday.

"Challengers" Review
Tumblr media
I watched "Challengers" directed by Luca Guadagnino. It stars Mike Faist, Josh O'Connor, and Zendaya. From IMDb, "Tashi, a former tennis prodigy turned coach, transformed her husband into a champion. But to overcome a recent losing streak and redeem himself, he'll need to face off against his former best friend and Tashi's ex-boyfriend." This received some good reviews and was even on some best films of 2024 lists. I didn't really like it very much. I hesitated watching it because of , well, tennis. I'm not really a huge fan of the sport. There was a lot of time spent on matches and it didn't really get me very involved in the film. There were various and sundry bromance scenes and competition scenes. I didn't really like them that much. It has action. It has good-looking characters. It didn't really do anything for me.
I agree more with the Guardian reviewer.
The New York Times reviewer, Manohla Dargis, seems to like it more. He says "A dreamy movie is sometimes all you want, and if it inspires you to pick up a racket or a date, or just rewatch a delight like Ernst Lubitsch’s 1933 “Design for Living,” about a different sexy trio, so much the better." I didn't really want this movie.,
