Chapter 4- Prideful Job
Sita's note: I am sorry if this is late and boring- i tried my best. Please have a good read! Also I have posted Raghuvan on Ao3, do check it out <3
Kainat woke up with shock, her chest heaving and body sweating. She felt like Lahore was calling for her. She looked around the room, to realize she was in her own home in Delhi now, no more bound to the golden cage of Heeramandi. As long as it took, Kainat strayed upon a to-let house. It was not as huge as her Shahi Mahal, but she wasn't a tawaif here anymore. Just smaller than her room back in Lahore, she was happy to start a new life with a new family. To march to her goals, away from being part of someone else's lustful fantasies. As much as she hated it, she had to sell some of her precious ornaments to afford the house. She still had the money to use given by Satto bi, but she managed to keep them safe. The first piece of jewelry she sold was a gold chain from what she stole from Rehana. The one thing that was helpful right now, was that the rich quality of these jewelry were going to benefit her. It only took one single chain to get her a house. Upon opening the cloth she tied that jewelry in, Kainat found the keys to Rehana's locker.
Would Rehana notice? She had a bad feeling, as if Shahi Mahal was calling for her. Kainat felt as if Fareedan was calling out for her, as if there was a great trouble in Shahi Mahal. Her hand wrapped around the silver keys, the cold providing her an untold feeling.
Kainat shook her head and got up, it was her first time away from her home and that's why she might be feeling this way. If nawab did go back to Shahi Mahal complaining that Kainat ran away, there would be some searching done for her. Since there was no news yet in Delhi, she was sure she wasn't found yet. Kainat took a deep breath and drank some water. It was pitch black in the night, overlooking the police barracks. Kainat was still very unsure about Ram. What repercussions was he talking about? And who was He to punish her for such repercussions? The only way to accept his behaviour was that he is a paranoid person. Kainat shook her head, settling back in bed.
It only took Kainat one or two stroll in the market to find where the revolutionaries were assembled or having a meeting. The look of being right but sneakily, the fear of being caught protecting the country, it was too much visible in their eyes. The next day, Kainat made to a revolutionary meeting like that. Her face veiled from the world, she was covered in a dark dupatta and a plain suit to blend her in the crowd. She sat in the middle of the audience, where she spotted a few more women.
The meeting hall was a dimly lit, empty space, tucked away in the heart of the city where shadows danced on the walls like silent spectators. The air was thick with anticipation as revolutionaries from all walks of life gathered in unity. Amidst the dimness of the hall, Kainat's spirit burned with the fire of rebellion, pushing her forward with unwavering resolution. With each passing moment, she felt herself drawing nearer to the realization of her dream, her heart swelling with anticipation at the thought of playing a part in shaping the destiny of her nation. "We are the people of the country, and we must be the one responsible for it's better future. The water, the forests and the land is ours, it should be our oath to protect it." A man in sarafa stood ahead, addressing the crowd.
As the high of the meeting reached its peak, voices rose in unison, echoing through the dimly lit hall. The sense of unity among the revolutionaries grew stronger. With a nod of agreement exchanged among the gathered revolutionaries, the meeting concluded, but the flame of revolution continued to burn brightly in their hearts.
Kainat walked out, when she spotted the same leader of the meeting. a flutter in her steps pulled her forward, to meet him; to listen whatever he has to say any further. "-but we need money, we need some resources to make the riot possible".
Her hand reached forward, tapping him on the shoulder. He turned around to see a beautiful young woman, but the madness of independence burning bright in her eyes. "I can help". Kainat knew how to convince men, and she did. Upon their resistance and doubts, she had a firm answer- "I wish to play a role in our fight and I won't back down". Alas, they had to listen, letting her in their plan.
-
It was around four in the evening, when Ram made his way to the police station to enquire something. "I wish to ask something in Lahore police station- it's related to a case". Ram flashed a smile to the old constable, a landline telephone accessible to him.
"Which district?"
"Heeramandi"

May 16th 1805 saw the birth of Scottish explorer, military officer, and diplomat Alexander Burnes.
Burnes was the poet Robert Burns cousin, note the spelling, Rabbies father, William also bore the name Burnes, Rabbie himself favoured dropping the “E”.
Now I don’t like delving into the history and politics of other countries, but this to me is a reminder that the problems in the middle east are long standing and interference in the region is long standing.
Alexander was the epitome of a nineteenth century adventurer cum dandy – dashing, intelligent and courageous.
In 1831, the British government in Delhi ordered a survey of the Indus River, unchartered since the time of Alexander the Great. The man they entrusted this mission to was Alexander Burnes. A journey of over 1,000 miles, Burnes, a natural linguist, charmed the usually antagonistic tribal leaders he came upon, and eventually reached Lahore, his reputation greatly enhanced.
His next adventure took him to Afghanistan, dressed as a native having discarded, in his words, ‘the useless paraphernalia of civilisation; we threw away all our European clothes" So he looked the part.
Burnes returned to England in 1833, where he was granted an audience with the king, William IV, and the Prime Minister. The daring young bachelor was the toast of London. His account of his adventures, Travels into Bokhara, being an Account of a Journey from India to Cabool, Tartary and Persia, sold a thousand copies on its first day of publication and made Burnes a tidy sum.
Meanwhile, the British government was making plans to dispose Dost Mohammed, the Afghan ruler, and replace him with Shah Shuja, an unpopular, former Amir, but one they considered had the advantage of being pro-British. Burnes had met Dost Mohammed in Cabool (sic) and liked him. He tried to persuade Lord Palmerston, Britain’s foreign secretary, that Shah Shuja, now living at Britain’s expense in India, was disliked by the Afghan people and lacked ‘sufficient energy’ and tact to rule Afghanistan effectively. But Palmerston dismissed Burnes’s concerns and gave the proposal his full backing. In late 1838, 10,000 British soldiers, 6,000 soldiers loyal to Shah Shuja, 38,000 camp followers and 30,000 camels marched into Afghanistan. Alongside them, the pretender to the throne and the disgruntled Scot.
As the convoy approached Kabul, Dost Mohammed fled. The British entered the city unopposed, placed Shah Shuja on the throne and congratulated themselves on a job well done. Having sent most of the army back to India, the remainder settled down to a life of indolence and luxury, living in a fortified compound just outside the city.
Alexander Burnes, now Sir Alexander Burnes, took up residence in Kabul and, despite his reservations about the new Amir, enjoyed life, indulging in a campaign of womanizing that infuriated the local men.
The Afghans’ growing resentment of Shah Shuja and Britain’s occupation finally erupted three years later. A crowd descended on Burnes’s residence, many of them husbands and fathers of Burnes’s numerous conquests. His servants urged him to leave but Burnes, in the words of his servant, was ‘quite sure the Afghans would never injure him’.
But they did. They set fire to Burnes’s house while the Scot shouted abuse at them. Finally realizing this was no idle protest, Burnes donned his turban and gown and tried to make his exit, accompanied by his brother. But both men were soon caught and, along with a number of servants, were hacked to death in a frenzied attack.
Two months later, the British garrison, having lost control of Kabul, attempted an evacuation to Jalalabad, ninety miles to the east. 16,000 British and Indian soldiers and camp followers embarked on the ‘Retreat from Kabul’. Only one Briton plus a handful of others survived the ordeal. The rest were all slaughtered by marauding Afghan tribes.
The tragedy was of Britain’s making but it caused profound shock in Victorian Britain.
If only they had listened to the dandy Scot in the turban.
The last pic is interesting, it is a drawing by our subject, of The Buddhas of Bamiyan, the one on the left was some 55 metres tall. Sadly, on orders from Taliban founder Mullah Omar, the statues were destroyed in March 2001, after the Taliban government declared that they were idols. International and local opinion strongly condemned the destruction of the Buddhas.

Pakistani Steve Harrington
This is how I imagine Steve's parents.
And subsequently his grandparents.
Steve's mother is Maira (My-rah) Harrington
And his father is Arun (Ah-roon) Harrington
Though they both tell everyone their names are Maria and Aaron.
Both come from villages in Pakistan but if asked they both say they come from Lahore.
Both of their fathers are actually old friends.
Having both come to America on the same boat after the Partition.
Which for Pakistan is the 14th August 1947.
They were both two men coming to a new country, leaving their wives behind.
And both became close friends. As did their wives, Arun and Maira's mother's from helping each other in their husbands absences.
Though they both joke that they hated for years.
The two men both worked together in America on contracts for before coming back home when they ran out.
During that time families were grown.
Arun had an older brother and two younger sisters.
Maira had 2 younger brothers and a younger sister.
Arun was sent to America with his older brother to study. They lived with their uncle.
Though years later Arun's father made the journey bringing Arun's mother and his sisters.
Maira came soon after, Arun's father had found work for him and her father so he went back.
Though it was several months before he could send for his wife and kids.
Arun attended school, graduated and than went to work for his father.
Maira attended school but dropped out at 15.
Taking up a position as a seamstress to help support her family.
Arun and Maira were arranged to be married after Arun had graduated.
Being friends, their parents really wanted their kids to end up together.
Arun and Maira agreed, having known the other and wanting to please their parents.
Arun continued to work for his father and uncle and Maira quit her job.
In time Maira's mother went back home to care for her elderly parents.
And Arun's father went back to expand the buisness, going back and fourth from America and Pakistan.
Steve was born on the 4th July 1966.
He was named Steve because his parents feared that having an "abnormal" name would lead him to be ostracised.
Maira looked after Steve and they were both really close. She taught him their culture but also how to hide his heritage.
It started for his own safety but became you are in America, act like it.
She has lovely brown skin but would cover it up with fair and lovely products.
Showing her son how to apply it so he could be handsome and fair.
She taught him Urdu, English wasn't to be used in the home.
Although both his parents would get annoyed at how slow his English was coming along.
Arun was a distant figure, always working and held Steve to a high standard as his only child and son.
They do have fond memories but not many.
Maira stayed at home with Steve, doing charity work and such.
Until she found out Arun was cheating on her with his secretary.
And took to going with him on his trips.
Steve's grandmother, Arun's mother babysat him though this stopped when he turned 10.
As both of his parents thought him to be tall enough and old enough to look after himself.
Citing that they had looked after themselves when their parents had been working.
And Steve was too soft compared to them. Didn't know the value of hard work and was too coddled.
So this would fix that.
Basically both Steve's parents were bought up by parents who were proud of their heritage.
So were they but as time went on, businesses booming and such they both lost their connection to their roots.
That is why Steve was bought up knowing Urdu frequently as his first language.
And would happily talk to his grandparents in it.
While also taught that being fair skin and having a western name is a good thing.
As Steve grew into his own person he found himself and his heritage.

Common Dreams
Sept. 11, 2023
"When we the people use our collective power we can win," said one campaigner.
"September 15-17, 2023. Everywhere."
Those are the dates and location of the international mobilization against fossil fuels set to take place this coming weekend, and the last word is hardly an exaggeration as organizers with the Global Fight to End Fossil Fuels report that more than 400 actions, marches, rallies, and other events have already been registered around the world.
More than 780 organizations have endorsed the day of action—up from 500 less than a week ago—and millions of participants are expected to rally from Cape Town, South Africa to Manila, Philippines and Lahore, Pakistan, as well as in dozens of cities and towns across the United States, the largest emitter of greenhouse gases in history.
The protests are scheduled just before the United Nations Climate Ambition Summit, taking place on September 20 in New York, where groups including the NAACP, Sierra Club, and Sunrise Movement are supporting the March to End Fossil Fuels on September 17.
More than 10,000 people are expected to march in New York to demand that U.S. President Joe Biden end federal approvals for new fossil fuel projects like the Willow drilling project in Alaska and phase out oil and gas drilling in federal lands and waters; declare a climate emergency to unlock resources to accelerate the transition to renewable energy; and provide a just transition that creates millions of green jobs while supporting people who have worked in the fossil fuel industry.
"President Biden is in an unparalleled position to lead the world toward cleaner, less polluting energy options and eliminate the dependence on dangerous fossil fuels," said organizers of the New York march. "If he takes action, he will protect our health, boost our economy, and tackle the climate crisis head-on."
The March to End Fossil Fuels is backed by advocates including author Naomi Klein, 350.org co-founder Bill McKibben, actor and Third Act leader Jane Fonda, and lawmakers including U.S. Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.).
On Monday, scientists including Lucky Tran of the March for Science and biologist Sandra Steingraber announced that 300 climate experts had signed their letter to Biden reminding him that "a broad scientific consensus exists" that fossil fuel extraction must be drawn down immediately to keep global heating below 1.5°C.
The scientists plan to release the letter with all signatures ahead of Sunday's march.
The global mobilization—and the Climate Ambition Summit, where leaders of countries that emit the most heat-trapping gases will be expected to present updated plans to reduce their emissions and phase out fossil fuels—comes after a summer in the Northern Hemisphere in which numerous temperature records were broken.
As Common Dreamsreported last week, U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres warned that "climate breakdown has begun" when U.S. scientists found the summer was the hottest on record. Scientists have said that extreme weather events such as wildfires in Canada and heatwaves in the U.S. and Europe in recent months would not have happened without human-caused planetary heating.
Tasneem Essop, executive director of Climate Action Network, emphasized that popular uprisings against the fossil fuel industry and the politicians that continue to support it have found success, such as the campaign that pushed Ecuadorians to vote against drilling in the Yasuní National Park in the Amazon last month.
"July 2023 was the hottest month in recorded climate history," said Essop. "The unparalleled, deadly climate disasters sweeping the world seem to leave polluters unfazed. Historical emitters like Norway, the U.K., and the USA are announcing new fossil fuel projects even as floods, fires, and heatwaves take over our lives. We take inspiration from recent victories in the Yasuní region with the referendum to stop oil drilling."
"When we the people use our collective power we can win," Essop added. "Let our resistance against fossil fuels in September send a loud message to the fossil fuel industry and their supporters that their time is up."
Outside of the U.S., more than 3,000 people are expected to join the Pakistan Climate March in the southern Sidh province; 100,000 are expected to join a march in Abuja, Nigeria; and 3,000 are expected to march near Malacañang Palace in Manila.
"We demand a phaseout of fossil fuels now," said Farooq Tariq, secretary-general of Kissan Rabita Committee in Pakistan. "The fossil fuel industry and its supporters bear responsibility for the climate crisis and perpetuate a predatory and destructive economic system that harms both people and the planet."

Hi! My name is Dito, and me and my wife need help!
On March 31st our landlord informed the house that a family member of his would be moving into town and that he planned to give the house to them, as such we've been given thirty (30) days to move.
This eviction is in no way, shape, or form a result of our actions but strictly those of our landlord deciding that we didn't need any real advanced notice. On the plus side, I have been saving to move my wife and I out either late summer or early fall. Meaning that I do have some funds put aside.
Due to the timing, however, I did not get the full summer to make the funds needed, and we need to move now. My current funds amount strictly to the first and last month's rent on an apartment in the city we plan to move to, for that reason I'm crowdfunding both for extra rent padding, moving costs such as renting a moving truck, the pet deposit for our lovely little void of a cat Zuzu, and any necessities we may need to replace seeing as we have decided to move out on our own rather than continuing to live with those we had previously been living with, this means potentially replacing furniture, cookware, and getting groceries once the move is complete.
I'll be working hard to make sure our goals are met and that we arrive safely at our destination. I'm choosing to see this sudden event not as a tragedy, but as a sign that it's time for a new start as I and my wife continue into the future together.
The funding goal is high not because we are demanding you give us that much for the initial move per-se, but because any excess funds we can get will be put directly back into making sure we have a little leeway with rent funds as my wife looks for a new job in our new location.
Thank you for taking the time to read and to consider helping us at this time. Even the smallest amount is both gracious, and deeply appreciated.
You can donate to us above. Every tiny bit helps, I understand that things are tight for everyone right now, so there is absolutely no pressure to do so, please take care of yourselves first.
you are also free and encouraged to spread this link anywhere you can/feel comfortable

this is true and it’s so important to actually truly start believing this. sometimes I still see myself holding onto the past,,, be ur friends/family in Lahore, life in Lahore itself or lovers from past. My lovers in the past offered and gave much less than what I’m receiving now but somehow in career love and all it’s a process itself to get over the imposter syndrome. sometimes all this goodness doesn’t seem real. my job doesn’t feel real my apartment doesn’t feel real my new friendships don’t feel real it feels like I’m in a blur, in a dream and all of this will end. above all, my love life really doesn’t feel real. sometimes I still dream of low effort losers I dated in the past and sometimes it feels like I’m destined to be with one of them and all the goodness that’s being offered to me rn isn’t actually mine to keep so I shouldn’t take it because I’ll have to let it go anyways.
i think it takes a while to fully starting believing in and accepting the life you’ve created for yourself. a life that it took effort hard work literal tears and sweat to build.

With compliments from, the Directorate General of Public Relations,
Government of the Punjab, Lahore Ph. 99201390
No.1064/Zafar/Umer
HANDOUT (A)
CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif Launches Climate Leadership Internship Program
LAHORE, 09 October 2024:
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif launched the CM Internship Climate Resilient Leadership Program. CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurated Pakistan's first smog hotline "1373". The Chief Minister directed to ensure one percent fund for plantation in the development project. She announced to increase the honorarium of Climate Change Leadership Internship Program from 25 thousand to 60 thousand and directed to plant trees across the road sides during construction and repair of roads. She also directed to introduce the ‘theme of smog’ from October 15 to November 15 in the schools across Punjab.
CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif while addressing the ceremony said, “Climate diplomacy with the India Punjab. The effects of smog are the same on both sides, so Pakistan and Indian Punjab should launch start similar measures to eliminate it. Smog will end not by merely pressing a button, rather by undertaking collective efforts. Everyone should know about the importance of smog elimination. My primary vision in Punjab is youth development. When the interns were informed about giving Rs. 25,000 honorarium then it was realized that the amount is inadequate. Even 60,000 rupees are inadequate for the internship program. I felt pleased to see the interns coming from different districts of Punjab. I have also directed to ensure jobs security of children after their internship program. The environment leader should get a job in the field of environment so that the children can fully benefit from education and training. The interns should be placed in Environment and Forest Departments.”
The CM said, “It is also the responsibility of the institutions to provide job links for jobs in other departments. In the past, the Environment Department was treated as a defunct department. Environmental internship is not a job but a sacred responsibility. It gave me a sense of importance of greenery on coming out of the death cell in the prison. Protecting the green environment bestowed by Allah Almighty is a great responsibility of all of us. The interns will not only improve the environment but also make the cities environmentally safe. Marriyum Aurangzeb and her team worked beyond my expectations. Alhamdulillah, Punjab Government launches a new project every day and its implementation is ensured as well. I am the daughter of Nawaz Sharif who never made any false promise to the people. Nawaz Sharif always fulfilled his promises whatever he made with the people.”
She added, “Environmental protection is not the responsibility of a single department or a single province, but the responsibility of the entire Pakistan. 25 crore people should jointly solve the problem of environment. A nation cannot develop without infrastructure development. Those who think of development without infrastructure development can be deemed as ignorant. One percent of plantation in the development project has been included in the SOPs. Doing cruelty to animals is the practice of uncivilized nations.”
The Chief Minister said, “Immediate action is being taken when incidents of animal cruelty come to light in Punjab. In Punjab, a person who cut off the leg of a donkey was apprehended caught and put in jail. One of the hallmarks of a civilized nation is how it treats animals. By the grace of Allah Almighty, air quality index is improving. Smog does not last from October to February, but throughout the year. We will have to remove obstacles confronting for the improvement of environment. Smog causes breathing problems and eyes damage. The smog becomes so dangerous that even schools and offices have to be closed. Children are suffering from respiratory diseases because of smog. Complications of respiratory diseases arise due to smog problems in children. We will have to take multiple measures for the elimination of smog. Every child in every house should be apprised about the knowledge for the smog elimination. Eradication of smog is a question of life and health of our children.”
She said, “Smog awareness will be taught as a subject in schools. The implementation of the action plan for sustainable measures to reduce smog has started. An end-to-end action plan has been formulated to eliminate smog and smog will reduce in the coming days. A warning was given for the black smoke coming out of the brick kilns and after the warning it was demolished for committing violation. We don't want to spoil anyone's livelihood, but action has to be taken with a heavy heart against those who pollute the environment. Cameras have been installed on chimneys in the industries, whose surveillance is being done in the monitoring room. In case of smoke emission, an immediate call is being made to the industry control room. Monitoring of environment through drone digital inspection, CCTV is also ongoing. The fat melting factories are not only polluting the environment, but people are being poisoned as well.”
CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif stated, “Political pollution is not visible but destroys the country. Protest, siege, burning are wrong traditions. Now inflation has reduced to 9% from 38% and has to be done for ensuring it. I always think about the well-being of people while sitting on a chair. I want to make Punjab full of opportunities for the new generation so that they don't need to go abroad for employment. If inflation is going down then protest from KPK has to be brought to check it. During the protest, police personnel from KPK have been arrested who invaded Punjab and Islamabad police. The martyred police personnel was someone's father and someone's son and what was his fault?”
The CM said, “Prime Minister of Malaysia visited Pakistan and now SCO is going to start and now they are striving to lodge protests once again to portray bad image of Pakistan. One province is invading the federation with full equipment. Their politics is getting buried due to low inflation. The country is progressing by leaps and bounds. By working for someone, the life of the poor is being facilitated and they neither work themselves nor allow others to work for the poor. Those who spread political smog had to face failure and the people did not give any response. If the people get relief, no one cares about such people.”
She said, “Come what may, we will not let any harm to be done to our country. Everyone will see a developing, flourishing Punjab. For the first time, a scholarship worth Rs. 40 billion has been launched for education. The government will pay the fee in case of not being able to pay fee in case of getting enrolment in the university. She inspected the Mobile Air Quality Monitoring Station.
Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb in her address informed about the measures being taken for the environmental improvement. She apprised that for the first time in Punjab, vehicle inspection system has been introduced. The Senior Minister informed that the Punjab government is going to implement first comprehensive plan in order to cope up with climate change and elimination of smog. She disclosed that on the directions of CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the monthly honorarium of the interns is being enhanced. She added that provision of funds has been ensured along with undertaking policy documentation. Marriyum Aurangzeb underscored that Punjab will lead with regard to combating hazardous climate change effects and smog eradication.
Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Azma Zahid Bokhari, Provincial Ministers Chaudhry Shafay Hussain, Sher Ali Gorchani, Sohaib Ahmed Malik, Kazim Pirzada, Ramesh Singh Arora, Ashiq Hussain, Chief Secretary, Secretaries and other officials were also present in the ceremony.

Pakistan Police – Punjab Police Jobs
In 2002, significant reforms were introduced to enhance the capabilities of the police force in Pakistan. These reforms were spearheaded by the District Magistrate, who expanded their authority and established a self-sufficient department designed to bolster public safety. This move aimed to ensure that citizens could sleep soundly, free from worries about crime, while fostering a more secure and progressive society. As a result, the country has seen a positive impact on its development, with the police force playing a critical role in maintaining order and security.
The Punjab Police Jobs is organized into provincial divisions to ensure effective management and security across the nation. Each province, including Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, and Balochistan, has its own police force responsible for addressing local needs and challenges. This provincial structure allows for more focused and efficient policing, catering to the unique requirements of each region.
Looking ahead to 2024, there are numerous career opportunities available within the Punjab Police. Individuals interested in joining the force can find the latest job listings online. Opportunities are available for various positions, including Constables, Traffic Police Officers, Motorway Police Officers, Sub Inspectors (SI), Assistant Sub Inspectors (ASI), and Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP). These roles offer a chance to contribute to public safety and law enforcement at different levels within the department.
Job openings in the Punjab Police are regularly updated and can be accessed through the National Testing Service (NTS) Pakistan, which facilitates the application process for these government positions. Interested candidates can apply online through the NTS portal to be considered for available roles.
For those looking to stay informed about the latest job opportunities, various sources publish advertisements for police vacancies. These include newspapers such as Nawa-i-Waqt, The Pakistan Police News, Dawn, The Nation, Jang, Express, and Dunya. These platforms provide information on available positions and application procedures, helping potential candidates stay up-to-date with current openings.
The Punjab Police's official website, punjabpolice.gov.pk, is a valuable resource for individuals seeking information on job opportunities and departmental updates. The website offers details on current vacancies, application forms, and additional resources for prospective applicants.
Additionally, the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) periodically announces job openings for positions such as Assistant Sub Inspectors (ASI) and Sub Inspectors (SI) within the Punjab Police. Applicants can find detailed information about these opportunities on the PPSC's official website, where they can also access application forms and instructions for submission.
For those seeking to contact the Punjab Police for further information or inquiries, contact details for police stations in major cities are readily available. In Lahore, for example, individuals can reach the Chief Commissioner of Police, Nayab Haider, at 042-99200245 or via email at [email protected]. In Rawalpindi, Ameer Abdullah Niazi can be contacted by phone for assistance with police-related queries.
Overall, the ongoing efforts to enhance the effectiveness and reach of the police force in Pakistan reflect a commitment to improving public safety and security. With the expansion of police authority and the creation of a self-sufficient department, citizens can benefit from a more organized and responsive policing system, contributing to the overall development and well-being of the country.
