SPOILERS FOR THE MANDALORIAN S3 FINALE

I see the whole name confusion so funny lol. Like yes, all theories make sense and that just makes it worse.

My personal theory is that Din is still his first name and Mandos just have a mixture of cultures for the naming. Like, for example, Thor is Thor Odinson, but his first name is still Thor. And in Japan, they have their family name first, like Katsuki Yuuri, but Yuuri is still what we would call "his first name"(notice my Yuri! On Ice hyperfxation alive and well). So it's a bit of both? Din Grogu: parent's first name goes first (nordic-like), then his own (like in Japan). It only makes more sense to me because Paz Vizla is Paz Vizla and Bo Katan Kryze is Bo Katan Kryze. Both have their first names first, family names second.

Another thing I can think of is that Ragnar would then probably be Paz Ragnar, but it also crashes into the fact that Paz Vizla is/was... Paz Vizla, not [whatever name his parent's name is] Paz, and they're all from the same "tribe".

And and and! Bo Katan Kryze is... well, Bo Katan Kryze, not [parent's name] Bo. Hell, she's not even Kryze Bo Katan. One could argue it changes from tribe to tribe, but Paz and her have the same name structure, so that doesn't make much sense.

I also don't know if it only applies for foundlings, because we also don't know if, let's say Paz, was one or if he's a blood descendant (do we?), or if his own kid is a foundling or blood. If it is only for foundlings though, then that's a whole new mess. See my point?

In conclusion, you do you besties, they probably didn't think much of it. If you like Din better, then keep it. If you like Djarin better, then use it! Both are cool :)

But you know, he will also murder Abel in a split second and he gets a JOY doing it. Most of the time. But also enough to live with him normally and still have dinners and get mad when someone else hurts him.

His front hair flop also comes from the fact that he has to hide the "MARK OF CAIN" TM. The one that hits you 7 times worse if you hurt him. He has no control of what that shit does tho.

Also fun fact, the houses are located in Kentucky (Unless they are teleporting) and stuck in the 70s aesthetically LMAO.

So I sharpened the old man, still gave him kind eyes. I unbrokened his nose, because is impossible to break it without you dying, so this man is SURPRISINGLY DELICATE when it comes to fights.

A well groomed beard that can be easily messed up. And big CAINines.

The clothes are just classic Cain clothes but pushin a little bit more of the military ww1 aesthetic he is placed with.

ABOUT ABEL:

Younger frisky freer brother.

A lot of Abel is based of Harveydont's Abel work. In all honestly we both worked on these bozos over the years.

Regardless here is the explanation for his look at least on my end.

He has always been a fancy little lad, a lot more pristine than his brother. A lot of the thought behind Abel is how he does a lot less of heavy work such as gardening or house renovating, but does things such as cooking and sweeping and organizing. Which is why he can always afford to be dressed to the nines.

Always seems to dress BETTER and be well more mannered. But while nicer he is also a trickster. So He can't be a circle.

Anyway, this picture also has done its millage.

This is the ORIGINAL sketch for Abel by Joe Orlando. I think my man nailed it first try. There has been A LOT of Cains over the years, but Abel always... ALWAYS relatively looks like this. And I have NO ROOM to complain.

As you can visibly see he hasn't changed much... I just put a knife to him and sharpened his features, as well give him bigger eyes than Cain bcs 1) makes him also look unhinged 2) Can also look more innocent.

Also his mutton chops are cleaner, in general his look is more put together and softer. He is supposed to be PRISTINE. The ring on his hand is because CANNONICALLY, Abel wears the gayest shit in the comics and I something he could fiddle with when nervous. (Mesh shirt while cooking, you know, gay club look just while cooking, iconic. Speak your truth, king.)

Also I made their skin darker bcs I am tan to darker color and I Was like, lol I can't be stopped now!

Just off the top of my head (mind you I'm no bird expert!) I would probably associate Melinoe with a bird representative of night/the moon like a Nightingale or a Raven.

As for Moros, hmm..... I feel like to stick with his theme of doom/bad omens he'd probably be something like a crow or a magpie?

I do get a good laugh (considering their height difference) over the idea of Mel as some tiny bird while Moros is a bigger bird (in comparison).

I absolutely adore the new movie. It was very personal to me on my first watch thru. I ended up going alone and got a moving seat, which was interesting. I have a very heavy connection with death, as well as losing a father that I was quite close with just like Astrid in the movie, and my own dad is the also reason why I love Beetlejuice so much. I actually cried when Delores put herself back together because that moment involved a Beegees song, and my dad really liked that band. He would have really liked this movie. It was still so stupid and incredibly silly, but it was meant to be. Even Tim Burton said he didn't think it was going to win awards and that they were just having fun.

Although I absolutely agree that a lot of the material from each franchise play heavily off of one another (which is really cool) but a sequel would have been made regardless if the musical or the show was made or not. I actually think the cartoon might have been some sort of compromise since a sequel didn't get picked up like they wanted. But I only believe this because of the amount of scripts that have come and gone before now, since at least the 90s. It's like 2 or 3 different scripts right? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, the lore does stack on top of itself within each universe, but the concept of a sequel has been in the works for years, and I know that any seasoned BJ fan knows this as a fact.

I have been an art student for decades. Nuance is my tea. I love, love, LOVE deep dives on fandom lore and personal cannons. I really, REALLY love it when people dig as deep as possible to find every socio-political construct of each universe. My main issue is the hate between Beetlejuice universes. Fuck me up with some nice juicy fan lore of backstories and analysis. I just can't stand the meaningless ugliness that can sometimes come with the territory of what people think is right in any fandom.

In the Beetlejuice fandom, we can't say that one universe is wrong because that's fundamentally incorrect. We can't say that them as a couple is cannon, just as we can't say that them being platonic is cannon. The movies did such a good job, in my personal opinion, of keeping everything in the air. All the movie did was spark new and exciting possibilities of what could happen next.

Each Beetlejuice universes have their own merrit, and we can appreciate them in their own way. That was the purpose of my original post. It's very hard for me to disagree with anyone. The only thing I disagree with is mean behavior from people who are mad that people support ships in this fandom. Like... let me ship in peace.

Educate me on Alex Brightman please. I mean it when I say I want all the education on all the Beetlejuice universes. I can't even fathom how much I am begging for behind the scenes content for this second movie. I am going to go full deep dive on the musical after I see it, and I've always loved the cartoon. I wanna know everything. This is my hyperfxation right now lol.

But man there can be mean people on here too. I've been in the underbellies of some mean ship wars in the past, and this fandom is too chaotic and meta to validate hatred. But I guess it's everywhere.

Am I the only person in the Beetlejuice fandom that LIKES the movies, the musical, AND show and don't care that they're different? Can we not appreciate different versions of the same thing? I honestly don't get it. It is possible to appreciate all versions of the Beetlejuice universe. I promise.

The 2nd movie isn't negating the musical or the show because the movies are their own cannon, just like the musical is its own cannon, and so is the cartoon. Do the universes make jabs at each other sometimes? Of course they do. It's Beetlejuice for God's sake. It's meta as fuck which is why it cracks me up that some of y'all take this so seriously. Especially the ship wars. Jeezus. 😒 it's not that serious guys.

The 2nd movie doesn't take anything away from the show or the cartoon because they are all different universes.

The cartoon show was created AFTER the movie... so it's literally episodic fanfiction. Good fanfiction. I watched it. Love it.

The musical was created AFTER the movie AND the show..... Fanfiction. I get to see it live for the first time in November and I am SO excited. I already know how the story differs and I'm fine with it being different. I LIKE that they're being creative.

The 2nd movie is literally a FANFICTION. I swear to God they scoured ao3 and said bet. It's fucking ridiculous. Yeah I fucking LOVED how stupid it was. How can anyone take any of these universes seriously?!?!
